New Shortened setup version:S3 WIFI setup including WWAN static IPs.The info Frotz provided helped and thanks! I could not connect through my Verizon hot spot but I have it set to static IP so I think this is the problem and will have to change it to DHCP when I have time and try it. The S3 did connect to another wireless network. I followed your instructions but reduced them and included my findings not that all may matter but it worked for me in the following sequence: S3 WIFI SETUP: 1- Starting from a factory-reset miner, log into it through Ethernet plugged directly from your computer to the miner. Go to WAN and write down all the following addresses under your static IP of 192.168.1.99 Here is the list... IPv4 netmask: IPv4 gateway: IPv4 broadcast: Use custom DNS servers: Once you have the above 4 addresses written down... Go to Network->Wifi, Hit Search, find your Wireless Network/Cell Phone Wifi/Wifi Extender and connect with it. Then go to Network->Interfaces-WWAN at the bottom and hit "Connect". 2- Even if LAN has DHCP hit apply and save anyway, For me this generated a MAC address. 3- Go to WWAN and change DHCP to Static IP and enter the listed info above list... IPv4 netmask: IPv4 gateway: IPv4 broadcast: Use custom DNS servers: Hit Save and Apply. Then go to WAN and change to DHCP and you will begin mining. Repeat the procedure for multiple miners with different WWAN static IPs. Happy WIFI Mining! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) MikeMike

Hi dogie,
Where do I go to find the tx/rx data on the s4? I'm still having issues with my verizon hotspot for some reason its logging 3 to 4 times the data that it's transmitting but I need to prove it to them

Is 510413 the last block? I'm stuck ...
Yep, we need more staking wallet I'm back in sync & staking, will stay here 24/7 for a while Thanks KP, We appreciate you supporting the network. We need more like you! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) MM Thanks Mike ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) There's a small core of committed VIOR supporters who can keep the chain healthy during this lean period, but we can always do with more help. The potential is still here for a great coin Yes, we could sure use just a few more as a buffer. Vior is another one of our projects we could have easily walked away after the circumstances all changed but we gave our word as we did the others so want to see it followed through. The Vior Gateway service when we get it built from scratch is not a desire. It's a "need"... MikeMike

Just got off the phone with Verizon technical support they say it's the miners that I'm using turns out my data usage for the month chunk from 46 gigabytes to nearly 20 gigabytes something's up
I only have 1 s3 and 1 s4 for running for about 8 hours a day and then to s3's running the rest of the time. And not even consistently
Your being bamboozeled, hood-winked. You ain't admiring the Horizon, the Horizon is likely playing you. Here are the stats on one of my s3's for the past 27d 22h 13m ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rx: 179.84 MB tx: 184.96 MB So as you can see, even if they where taking the summation of your rx/tx value(s) your still looking at less than 0.5 GB/Month per s3. Thanks much Nwfella, This is in line with my bills prior to the change in my plan and/or the increase in data usage hit. Will be working with Verizon Tech Support to try and diagnose the problem in next few days. I already told them the most I will pay is an extra 20.00 and if the hotspot makes the miners use significantly more than your data usage I'm done with Verizon plan and all. This would be the second time. First time I kept telling them I was receiving charges that were not mine. Left them and few years later they got slapped with a class action for doing just that. This could be their "next suit"... MM

Why are you mining from your hotspot for mining purpose? You will lose data packages significantly during the process.
Always try to use a cable connection where data loses are approximately nil.
No cable is available.

Hi, Is there an app for Staisybit? Nearly impossible to view the mining site from a smart phone. Will you be creating a mobile friendly version? MM that is what Alberto is currently working on, i have already seen a mockup of it, you will be able to enjoy it very soon. have fun Matthias :-) . Fantastic. Thanks for the heads up! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) MM

Awesome PB! Much thanks for all you do for Vior. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) MikeMike NOTE:Wait till I give an OK before you try this blk file. UPDATE:What I see is you will have to sync from scratch with anyone's blk file so don't use anyone buy your own blk file but you will also have to have your tx file and wallet.dat otherwise the blk file is useless from what I see. I am also not sure if someones blk file is able to be used in all wallets. Download it anyway for the Peers.dat file.It is also in the zipped folder and works well. MM for posterity: blk0001.dat can be renamed to 'bootstrap.dat' and put into a clean roaming directory; the client will begin bootstrapping at launch. alternatively you could launch your daemon/qt with the launch command -loadblock=<someoneElsesBlk001.dat> Also, isn't peers.dat just the addnodes that had a successful connection? Thanks ZT, Your help is appreciated! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Any news on kore? Wallet stake perfect
We will get an update this week after the holidays... Ok.Thx MM Here is the Update: 1) We had a delay in the coders ability to work on the project due to most important Family matters which we understand and agree come first. We have all had them in the last year. 2) There seems to be an issue with the newest compiler and TOR. It will not accept it. The only fix is to change the TOR code and do subsequent testing of those changes. 3) Back to the old compiler and continue the grueling work of finding the fixes. I have asked for regular updates and an open discussion from them if they decide we should change course. We will keep you posted if any such discussion arises at any time. This does not mean an abandoning of the project. NOTE: We have a solution for all these issues in the works. It's one of our Team projects and a huge one that goes back 10 years. We will see which one comes out of the gate first. Sincerely, MikeMike

If I'm not mistaken there is no ongoing development for this one, right?
There is but on a slow boat. MM

Probably the constant upload speed or bouncing from download to upload a lot that triggers it.
Been using it for months. Now my data usage has gone from 4-6GB to 11-15GB. Tripled.

Has anyone else mining through their Verizon jetpack Hotspot that noticed recent change in how they bill for data usage?
I am being logged for data now going to "gaming" and the only thing I can figure is they changed the way they log data usage and the mining is showing up more.
MikeMike
Seems a little crazy to have all your internet through a mobile hotspot. Are you able to use a VPN or something to send all your traffic though? If you have a good VPN then it seems they could not charge higher, unless VPN is higher on it. I personally have stuck with mining on a dsl connection. I mainly use the hotspot for mining at work. Just mildly used for the internet. No other usage increased Just gaming? with a question mark so presume they got wise to mining data and decided to log it under gaming?. Not sure how I could get my miners to mine over my VPN trough my hotspot. Have any suggestions? I always use my VPN while using the net but Verizon must see it because they still log it. MM
