No need to be a genius to figure out the compensation. It was stated in my statement: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/news/14979953-introducing-the-sp30
Basically, $ refund for the missing GH/s per the $/GHs ratio or a coupon.

Guy

So you're refusing to compensate for the missing J/GH?

I'll listen to Buffet before I listen to Grandma concerning investing.

You forgot the PSU costs. Everyone always forgets the PSU cost. The S3 does not cost $305, it costs at least $350.

Only if you're setting up a single S3. If you doing any sort of farm, you're going to use server power supplies which cost maybe $10 per S3.
1724  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 20, 2014, 09:59:38 PM
Just found about http://www.rigwarz.com/ My only know-how comes from the forum, but it seems that I found an unbiased opinion about the SP30. It seems that it's doing very good besides all the trolls whining. Only 2 days ROI difference between S3 and SP30. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Edit: Well if you add the 12 PSU cost I think that the SP30 might achieve ROI just a little faster than the S3s. Math is nice! Crypto is uber!

Sorry, but that site is significantly flawed. For instance, it claims "* Prices do not include shipping or tax.", yet the S3 price does include shipping. Furthermore, "** ROI calcs assume static conditions for ranking purposes only." It's impossible to compare miners with static conditions fairly.

I can't extract the file. Did you upload the entire file?
1726  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 20, 2014, 03:36:40 PM
Download this image, write to an SD card using win32 disk imager, and replace the existing one in the PI. See if that helps.

A 44 MB image. That's not a complete image.
1727  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT 2U 1.25th rack mount miners on: August 20, 2014, 05:03:26 AM
I've noticed they dont reply when i ask. I'd be willing to do escrow  for them if they actually shipped working hardware.

And how do you think they'll respond when your new miner dies 1 day after you release the escrow?  Why would you even consider buying an overpriced miner from a company with a long history of failing its customers?

All right, who's got the highest activity level? theymos at 1666?

Right.

Hmm, that's going to be hard to beat. Can I interest you in a long vacation from BCT?

Seriously Josh,

Why would you allow fraud like this to happen, as owner of the business. You sent me Equipment without PSU attached, 6 months late to be making ROI 12K in debt, with nothing to show.

This proves Bruno's "leaked" chats are real. They sent systems without PSU on purpose. You ended up on their "naughty" list and got shafted.
1732  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 19, 2014, 06:26:35 PM
AMT is on now, and it looks likes Josh Zipkin is in ignore mode - AGAIN! But has plenty of time to delete posts, but not enough time to sue me.  Cry Cry Cry

Don't worry, you'll get it. AMT *always* keeps their word.  Grin

my miner has arrived. pictures and video to come.

Does AMT use cgminer?
1734  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Pluto, S4, or SP50 - which will be announced first? on: August 19, 2014, 01:04:26 AM
My Bet is the S4. 2TH, 1400W.

The S2 was much more efficient than the S1. If they repeat that design, they could hit 1200W easy. If they launched 2TH at 1000W they would clean up!
1735  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miners are about to get squeezed big time unless the price of BTC jumps soon on: August 19, 2014, 12:52:05 AM
Without a doubt Bitmain's S3s are nice hardware that are relatively problem free (compared to competition) and have pretty much the best pricing for end users.  The problem is if Bitmain wants to mine on their own it doesn't cost them 0.66BTC but probanly something less than 0.25BTC to make one so they can keep making them and mining as can many other ASIC manufacturers.

Yup. Small-time/home miners are finished. The big guys have their startup costs paid for, and now they just crank out the chips at far cheaper cost than they will sell them for. There's no way to compete with that.
1736  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmaintech's Antminer S3+ vs. Spondoolies-Tech's SP30 Yukon on: August 18, 2014, 10:20:14 PM
Hosting advantage goes to the SP30 - it's less rack space and less power consumption.

Professional hosting is about $100/kw.

SP30: $300/mo
S3: $350/mo

So you need to run the SP30 for 20 months to make up for the price advantage of the S3. Good luck with that.
1737  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miners are about to get squeezed big time unless the price of BTC jumps soon on: August 18, 2014, 09:48:55 PM
Even Bitmain who had one of the best reps out there have really left a bad taste in people's mouths with the S3, now they want you to wait until September 20th for the next round to ship and pay .66BTC for it TODAY.

.58BTC is only $266, or $.6/ghps. That is by far the best price in the market.
1738  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmaintech's Antminer S3+ vs. Spondoolies-Tech's SP30 Yukon on: August 18, 2014, 09:38:50 PM
That's relevant to both the SP30 and the S3 equally.  The advantage still goes to the SP30 regardless of what the price of BTC does.

No, because Bitmain prices the S3 in BTC. Currently the S3 is significantly cheaper.
1739  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best miner for large operations? on: August 18, 2014, 09:36:18 PM
Definitely Spondoolies Tech SP30. 4.5Th/s in a 2U case with 2 server grade power supplies.

SP30 is a decent product, but Bitmain S3 is far cheaper with bitcoin prices at a low right now. The S3s would only cost about $3k when the SP30 costs about $4k.

Nice try AMT, but deleting posts doesn't stop your illegal distribution of copyrighted material. You have been warned. Your business is finished.

Thanks for helping out Syke, bring on some more bullshit on one of the last companies trying to build miners. Your a hero man.

So you believe that copyright infringement is a worthy business practice? Good, I need to upgrade my XP machines. Can you please send me 3x Windows 8.1 Ultimate product keys? Thanks!
/sarcasm

No, the bullshit is what you are trying to pull. Copyright infringement is a serious offence. If you don't want to provide source code, then you should not be distributing open source binaries. It's plain and simple. You made the choice. Now live with the consequences.
