1123  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The same people run CLOUDMINR.IO and TERABOX.ME on: February 19, 2015, 02:30:13 AM
Isn`t the BTC in general a bit risky  Huh

no Risk, no Fun  Grin

Cloud mining: High risk, low reward. Great way to lose all your BTC.

unless they are in maintenance, otherwise this service is surely ponzi.

Of course it's a ponzi. Good luck.

Hey

Anyone know the best settings for a SP20, Im only getting 1.6th... system is cool ( 23 at the front ) tried a vast amount of settings but never seem to get it to stay at 1.7 or more..

Any help guys?

That's pretty typical. Very few people can get 1.7.
1128  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: February 16, 2015, 07:51:36 PM
I called them to do so (I'm from Saskatchewan) and they said there was no need to - they were already looking into it and working on a case. So they're definitely looking into PBMining and Jason.

That's good news.
1129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: February 16, 2015, 06:52:59 PM
Hopefully the police will eventually catch him though, even if he moves out of the country. There are plenty of Boyko's as well as other Ukranian families in Saskatchewan, so if he moved out of the country I'm guessing he'd be leaving plenty of his family behind here. Maybe one day if he decides to come back and visit his family, the police will catch up with him.

For the police to take action you have to actually file a police report. Who here has actually filed a police report?
1130  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitCloudMine - New Cloud Mining on: February 16, 2015, 06:02:05 AM
how do i know which ones are legit, and not end up blowing up in my face like pbmining..

It's pretty simple. If you think you can make a profit, you are likely looking at a scam.

Would you buy a 1 oz gold coin for $10 cash from a random guy on the street?
1131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 15, 2015, 07:58:20 PM
Our thread is now in the third place in number of posts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0;sort=replies;desc
I don't expect we'll get any higher than third place, unless we'll piss off Gleb Gamow / Phinnaeus Gage  Grin

Not too bad, considering we've started to sell less than 11 months ago.

You've gotten there by running a decent business. Keep up the good work and you won't have to worry about Bruno.
1132  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitCloudMine - New Cloud Mining on: February 15, 2015, 05:32:04 PM
Please explain your demo

It is a way for them to steal the bitcoins from people with very few bitcoins.
1133  Economy / Speculation / Re: $260 by the end of the week ? Heard it here first on: February 15, 2015, 05:26:35 AM
I can get money back with my credit card

I get a 3% discount when I use bitcoin. You don't get that much with your credit card. Businesses appreciate it also since their costs are lower and their chargeback risk is zero. Credit card fraud is crippling businesses everywhere.

So what advantage do I get as the average consumer for using btc?  Good luck answering that with something other than the tech is great!

I use bitcoin to pay friends directly (smartphone to smartphone). You can't do that with a credit card.
1134  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Turning off miners on: February 15, 2015, 05:10:05 AM
The difficulty increase combined with the price drop has me turning off another batch of miners. How about you?

Did you turn them back on?

Yeah, I can justify them back on for a bit for some winter heating. This year-and-a-half price slump is getting annoying. I'm ready for the next moon trip.

What is WOT rating ?

Web of Trust. It means the smart people around here understand that Terabox is running a ponzi scam and will eventually run off with your money.

1138  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Would a group buy of solar panels be allowed in this forum? on: February 11, 2015, 04:17:08 AM
If you'd like I can get you very inexpensive solar panels delivered to your house in Georgia that are fully compliant with all US rules and regulations for grid interconnection complete with a 20 year manufacturers warranty for under $1 a watt. I also accept bitcoin for solar panels. One of the oldest solar pv companies on the east coast http://www.ecologicalsystems.biz/ would be the ones providing the solar panels. Their credentials are impeccable so you don't need to worry about any scams with them.

That's a really good price!

But let's compare it to hosting. You say about $1000 for 1kw system. Georgia gets about 1700 kwh per year, but you'll lost some efficiency for battery, etc., so let's say 1500 kwh, or roughly 2 months of power. You could host the miners at a bitcoin hosting facility for $180 for 2 months, much less if you agree to longer terms.

You need to run the miners for more than 5.5 years without downtime to break even compared to a hosting facility. Good luck with that.

Also, it would be nice if these manufactures that want to push limits, start using the 8pin. That can handle more current.

Not when wired as a standard pcie connector. There are only 3 hot wires in both 6pin and 8pin configurations.
1140  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 09, 2015, 06:18:51 AM
What does that tell you?

It's one year later, and the only thing so far the police have said is that they believe 99% of them disappeared through insider fraud.

MK is still a free man, so apparently he has never been implicated. Then, who dun it? Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard,...??

Someone who had access...
