1141  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Would a group buy of solar panels be allowed in this forum? on: February 08, 2015, 03:45:14 AM
Do you really want to commit to losing money for the next 5 years in the hope that you may make a tiny profit in the distant future?
1142  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Spondoolies-Tech vs Bitmain for a larger operation? on: February 01, 2015, 03:27:08 AM
Looking at the Hashcoins Uranus is interesting...gotta run the numbers on that one too.

Ack, no!!! Don't waste your time. There are no options outside of Bitmain and Spondoolies. None.
1143  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Spondoolies-Tech vs Bitmain for a larger operation? on: February 01, 2015, 03:26:10 AM
I'm going to factor all this together and see where it lands. (I'm still trying to get my excel sheet to work correctly.) Right now it looks kinda like a toss-up.

Put the S5 at 1.3 TH/s, and the SP20 at 1.6 TH/s. Those are more realistic numbers.
1144  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pics of Large Miner Hosting Center Under Construction on: February 01, 2015, 02:45:34 AM
I don't think miners would use the normal miners to mine specially there won't be a long term ROI, so we probably need something new in the mining technology.
has  there been something above ASIC yet ?

There is no such thing as "above ASIC".

Already listed

Code:
terabox.me            1+2+3*+4+5+6+7*    => 6/7 = Ponzi (pictures are not convincing to me for now, exit strategy involves  60+ days stall tactic)
1146  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive SpondooliesTech SP20 Setup [HD] on: February 01, 2015, 01:08:41 AM
Ok, that did it.
1147  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive SpondooliesTech SP20 Setup [HD] on: February 01, 2015, 12:46:20 AM
There is a reset by sd card.  I would assume it would go back to default after.

Like this?

I lost the login info. Is there way to reset the SP20 to factory settings?
1149  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloud Mining Website sends funds to Eobot on: January 30, 2015, 10:17:28 PM
Best one that is currently running and continued growth is EOBOT https://www.eobot.com/ lots of good features and many coins to convert BTC into other cryptos with your mining cloud contracts scrypt and sha mining power and auto convent BTC into other cryptos on the fly or diversify and mine for a selected period of time and auto swops between selected cryptos you want to mine on.

For electricity and maintenance, we currently charge a fee of 80% for SHA-256

Yeah, that sounds like a great deal!
1150  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is minersource.net legit on: January 30, 2015, 05:00:07 PM
Being small is not an excuse for breaking consumer law. When they ventured to profit from those transactions, they were also contracting themselves to customers. What happens in the sale between minersource and blackarrow has no bearing what so ever on the sales between customers and minersource.

Exactly! That's what shows how pathetic minersource is. They pass their problems on to their customers, rather than fix their problems. That's a horrible business and no one should risk their money on such a business.
1151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: January 30, 2015, 03:50:45 PM
Yesterday i tested and at clock 375, one S5 is drawing about 565w of the wall.
So my question is, would it be okay to connect 2 S5's to the one Corsair 1200w Platinum PSU ?

565w at the wall is about 510w output. 510 x 2 = 1020w. 1020w is less than 1200w, so it should be fine at 375. Good chance you can even take them up to 400. Be sure to check the wattage after a day or so when everything has stabilized.
1152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 30, 2015, 05:57:49 AM
Less than 5% of orders is yet to be delivered. If you have not received your order, please PM me your order number.

When will you begin compensation shipments?
1153  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Can you make a profit with 7th/s 3550w? on: January 30, 2015, 04:38:16 AM
By ROI or profit, do you mean in bitcoins or fiat currency?  Both are possible, but on no certain terms.

Mining is a lot more fun than trading cash for coins

There is only 1 ROI worth considering. Bitcoin. If you can't mine more bitcoins than you can buy, then don't buy a miner.
1154  Other / Meta / Re: PM restriction for new accounts is needed on: January 30, 2015, 04:32:17 AM
Yes, because I don't feel comfortable giving out my email. Even if I create a alt email, I don't check it as often as the forum, making business deals slower.

If you use a mail system like gmail, you can setup a seconary email that automatically forwards to your main email, and maintains your private personal email.
1155  Other / Meta / Re: PM restriction for new accounts is needed on: January 30, 2015, 01:52:19 AM
No, I don't agree with this, as I get business orders from newbies who find my thread from Google search, and some of them don't even know what Bitcoin is. Without PM's, they would have to find another way to communicate with me. I think it is pretty obvious to see imposters, as they don't have the same rank as the real user.

There's the other way to communicate with you, but you're not taking advantage of it.
1156  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Proof that MineThatCloud is a Ponzi on: January 30, 2015, 01:33:38 AM
mine cloud is a ponzi so it is like a game. who wants to play must know the risk...you can earn but you can lose too. simple Smiley

The game is over. Every single customer that bought a contract lost money. Everyone.
1157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is minersource.net legit on: January 30, 2015, 01:26:23 AM
minersource is a crap shoot. How much do you like gambling? If you're lucky, you get your order fine. If anything goes wrong, minersource won't make things right. There are countless reports with them not shipping products, refusing refunds, ignoring support requests, etc. Roll the dice with them if you want. Do you feel lucky?
1158  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pics of Large Miner Hosting Center Under Construction on: January 29, 2015, 04:42:38 AM
So $80 per KWH is like $0.12/KwH

Don't most people in most places have cheaper electricity in their private home and at least cost the same?

The average rate in the US is about $.12/kwh, and that's not counting summer cooling costs, so yeah, it's about the same. But, the average home is very limited in power capacity, noise levels, etc. Sure, you can host a terahash or two, but not much more without a lot of effort.
1159  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Campbx always withholding coins with Cold wallet maintenance. on: January 29, 2015, 04:34:09 AM
People still use CampBX? I thought everyone stopped using them ages ago.
1160  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITSTAMP LOST 1.5 BTC TODAY on: January 29, 2015, 04:27:28 AM
I'm sorry to hear this . I am worried to use bitstamp also but I do not know of any other way to have my $$ readily available to buy bitcoins when they drop

No site is 100% hackproof, so what's important is how well a site deals with issues. Bitstamp handled this hack pretty well, so I would still continue to use them.
