1721  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best cold wallet for BTC storage? on: October 06, 2022, 02:41:17 AM
Hi, I'm kinda new to this whole Bitcoin thing, but I heard it was big and wanted in, so I signed up for Coinbase and bought about $1500 worth.

Are we talking about only 1500$ worth of bitcoins or you need to buy more in the near future and keep them in the cold wallet.
You will get a lot of good information about the hardware wallets in reply to your thread but i will advise you that you should transfer the bitcoins from coinbase and keep them in the electrum wallet.
I don't recommend spending money on hardware wallets if you have small amounts of bitcoins.
1722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from cryptocurrency as a starter? on: October 05, 2022, 06:38:11 PM
Hello Mates, I wish to venture into trading but I'm just being mindful of the current market situation. Looking at the market, I see instability.

I wish to get the needed guide on how and when to start trading Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies inorder to make some profits to settle some of my needs. I appreciate you all for your kind response in advance.

Many people will tell you to first learn to trade and then put your real money in trades. Also, people will tell you technical stuff like put stop losses in trades etc etc. All these things are important if you want to earn as a trader in crypto market, however first you should have enough money to start trading. Some people only have 100 or 200$ and they want to trade which is in my point of view a waste of time and money.
As said Money makes money, you should have good capital if you want to start substantial earnings from trading.
1723  Other / Archival / Re: Q4 2022. What to expect from bitcoin? on: October 05, 2022, 06:02:22 PM
I believe that what would happen with the price in the short term is it would still stay in the range of 13500 ~ 16000. A lot of people might be expecting that there would be a bull run since it's the holiday season, and a lot of people would have money. With the end of the year, it could still be in the 20k range or maybe lower.

It's not supposed to be a big deal to have consecutive quarters on the red since it happened with the green. It can occur in the red as well. It's optimistic to see it in the longer term, but it wouldn't be for a short time.

I don't expect a bull run in this year 2022. This is a bear market year so either the price will remain the same as they are now or we may see another drop to 14-15K as you have mentioned.
However, bitcoin will grow in the future and break its all time high in the coming years, so we need to be optimistic about bitcoin and there is no need to panic sell or get depressed seeing bitcoin dumping more in quarter 4 of this year.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 05, 2022, 05:30:16 PM
In the end, Australia won by 3 wickets. Another unbeaten knock from Matthew Wade took Australia home and gave them a 1-0 lead in the two-match T20I series! He is addicted to chasing tough scores. While WI's wicketkeeper didn't even bother to hit the stumps. Who should have won the match, but WI doesn't even show any intent or hunger to win.

We got a chance to enjoy an exciting match. After West Indies set a target of just 146 runs, I thought Australia would win very easily, as West Indies bowling line-up is not very strong. Apart from Finch and Matthew Wade, none of Australia's batsmen played well. Australia won due to responsible batting by Finch and Wade. Australia's top-order players will have to perform better if they want to win the upcoming matches.

I wasn't expecting this close finish by the West Indies. Although they lost the match but it was indeed a good play by them. They were the underdogs and they really surprised the Australian team.

I would say that Australian batting failed completely. Only Aaron Finch was able to score 58 runs and Matthew Wade scored a quick 39 runs which led Australia towards the victory. If the target would have been 160+, it was game over for Australians.
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of the Tokens are traded on small Exchanges, Is it Good or Scam on: October 05, 2022, 05:12:48 PM
Most of the new crypto coins are traded in small exchanges like Yobit, Stock Exchange, BigONE. Are these tokens safe for use, or are they a scam?

Usually, new coins are not listed on big exchanges at the start. Some projects may have funds to list their coin on exchanges like Binance or start an IEO on Binance, but most projects are short of funds at the start and therefore they list on small exchanges where the fee is less.
We cannot conclude that all the projects on small exchanges are scam, some may be scam but other may be good ones too.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 04, 2022, 03:41:17 PM
Something important i would love to know, recently just go through the bounty sections and found lots of project running bounty's which implies  marketing. Do you think the marketing is important to do as of now since the dip have gradually affected many people around the cryptospace.

And what happened if they run the marketing at last didn't succeed, what would or might be the outcome of the bounty hunters? Does it mean they should stop joining bounty since the market is in dip or what could be your suggestion.

I don't mostly pay attention those bounty's that are paying with their token and i don't join any manager who is not trusted and reliable, so i only select those bounty's paid in Busd, Usdt.

To tell you truth if the project is a good one then the bear or bull market does not matter much. In both markets, the project will remain in people's attention. A such good project will give you a lot of return in a bull market and people keep on accumulating those coins in a bear market.
Actually, if the coin survives or performs well in the bear market, it means the project behind the coin is a good one and worth the investment.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Three questions for old crypto fans on: October 03, 2022, 06:12:47 PM
Is it normal to invest in projects that VC's invested money on?  And also can we see another top project in the rank of 1 to 20 failed like that of Luna? For those who have been here since 2016 do new altcoins always replace the present top 20 altcoins every crypto cycle?

What happened with Luna does not happen with all the coins and the top 10 to top 20 coins are still the best investments.
Also in every bitcoin cycle, that is a four year period (from one halving to another halving), you will find many coins disappear and many new coins will make their position in top 50 or top 20 coins. Many popular coins with a lot of hype sometimes disappear in the bear market as if those coins never existed.
1728  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why full time to crypto why not to Skills on: October 02, 2022, 06:17:21 PM
Dear community I have researched almost % of people's stepping towards crypto without any proper training and attention and losing their money for greedy mind...
Why peoples are not attention to Skills (e-commerce, freelancing)
Wanna suggest a little bit of your time to spend in learning skills and improve your mind strength+💰🤑

How can you earn from crypto if you have no skills?

Yes, you can invest in bitcoin and wait for the prices to rise but for that, you need to have a lot of capital. Many young people do not have much money to invest in bitcoin and the only way for them to earn from bitcoin is to do some skillful work and get bitcoin or convert the fait into bitcoins. In both cases, you need to have skills in order to earn bitcoins. Without skills, there is no way to earn money as no one will give you free money or free crypto.
1729  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: October 02, 2022, 03:51:54 PM
Just follow the 4-year chart of Bitcoin, it appears that we will see a big movement this month of October. Every year this month has seen an uptrend in bitcoin price. The month has just started and soon we will be able to see that positive sign for Bitcoin. Hopefully Bitcoin will be able to reach above $25000 this month.

We are in October, although we are still in a bear market, I have the same optimism as you for October. September we face a series of bad events such as CPI, meeting and Fed rate hike which put pressure on the market causing the market to go below $20k for a long time. But as you said, historically October and November are 2 months considered good for the market so we can expect the price to increase this month. That is not a sign of the bulls but at least there will be slight rallies so everyone can take profits if anyone buys the lows.

Historically the last quarter is bullish for bitcoin but after the bull market, we usually see a red last quarter of the bear market. So, keeping this in view, we might see a continuation of the bearish trend. The fed policies won't be changing anytime near and the interest rates on the dollar are also spiking. Not a god sign for bitcoin and i do see any positive news or momentum which can put a pause on this bearish trend.

1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 02, 2022, 03:02:34 PM
Today Pakistan vs England series decider 7th T20 match hosts Pakistan will enter the field as favourites,,,.Although Pakistan's main bowling unit will be a bit behind due to injuries,,,, their top order batting unit is strong enough,, they can do a lot on their day.  can
Cricket world waiting to enjoy a beautiful match,,,.

Match just started and seems like England will continue there aggressive strategy of last T20I. On 14 balls bowled so far England have scored 22 runs. Pakistan need wicket of Salt as early as possible. If Salt keep going then England will finish innings by scoring 200+ runs.

Salt run out and it was the fault of Malan. Pakistan was fortunate that the ball hit the stumps directly and Salt was short of this crease.
England lost two quick wickets and lost the early advantage of scoring quickly in the first 4 overs. This means the match is again in balance and now England needs a partnership to build up the innings.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should I invest in other than bitcoin? on: October 02, 2022, 02:09:29 PM
Everyone will suggest their favorite coins that they are holding right now. So it will make you more confused. If you are wondering to invest longer then chose from the top ten that are very close to Bitcoin. Don't invest in shitcoin to get more profits. Don't think to become a millionaire the night. Otherwise, you might lose your whole portfolio.

Yes, when it comes to investing with your real money, then you should already do your own research. You may get ideas from everyone, but the final decision should be yours after your own research and study.

So, I would not give any particular coins for OP to invest but he should have a portfolio containing some of the coins from the top 10 and a few other high potential coins and maybe some meme coins too as they also give sometimes big returns.

1735  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥥 BetCoCo 🥥 -🔥🔥Bonus upto 0.5BTC a month 🔥🔥 on: September 26, 2022, 06:01:58 PM
It's very unfortunate that you have been linked to those scam casinos when you only want to promote your casino, obviously, you just made the wrong decision on getting the wrong license issuer but it has nothing to do with you, just keep on doing what you've been doing by being active here and addressing all concern, the community wants an active admin where they can relay their concern and questions, hopefully in the future, you can launch a signature campaign to establish your casino here.

Getting license from them may not be as bad as we might think. If the casino establishes their trust, then who cares for the licenses.
Gamblers hardly see the gambling casino license before they decide to play in the casino.

Signature campaign can really help to boost the project. All the good projects have long running signature campaigns and i hope BetCoCo  also joins this race.  Smiley
1736  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alternatives to 1xbit on: September 26, 2022, 05:17:06 PM
It is weird that there are still many people using 1xbit when it has a lot of scam accusations all over in this forum. It's been red-tagged for a while now.

There are a lot of betting platforms here that are reliable. I myself was able to experience more than 10 of the crypto betting sites. For now, I only have 2 active accounts in BK8 and Sportsbet. I don't have any major issues with them, minor issues were addressed very quickly. They have quick deposits and withdrawals too. High competitive odds also matter to me.

People will continue to play on 1xbit as there are people who do not follow this forum. People landing directly on 1xbit have no idea how they scam people. Yes, they will know that 1xbit is a scam when they won't be able to withdraw, or their account become banned etc. But those people would already have paid the price for this lesson as they deposited already.

People at bitcointalk are lucky as you will read everywhere here that 1xbit is a scam.
Also, the people who are wearing 1xbit signatures have red tag on their profile, indicating that they are promoting scammers.
1737  Economy / Gambling / Re: Will duelbits pay 20k bet? on: September 26, 2022, 04:19:47 PM
If someone bet high amount (20k)+ on this casino and win  like 2-5x time more his money.

would the casiino pay him or find excuse not to pay and ban his account?

Well, i never place such a huge bet in single go, so can't tell what will be the reaction of duelbits. However, usually the casino will limit to the maximum amount you can bet at a given time.

If you were talking about in general or any random gambling site my answer would have been different but since you are talking in particular about duelbits, it is a trusted site, and they will pay you whatever you have won.
1738  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: September 26, 2022, 03:59:26 PM
Because of the technology, the way we gamble also changed. Now, it's not necessary to go to physical casinos in order to play because online gambling made it possible to still have fun wherever you are as long as you have a gadget and internet. Just like what @serjent05 mentioned, some online casinos are coming up with new feature to change what we used to and it's up to the players if they want to try this new way to gamble.

With casinos and gambling, it has happened as in other spheres of our lives: they have become digitalized. Although it is still possible to bet live, online gambling has taken market share from live gambling and is growing steadily, as people can bet 24/7 from their cell phones.
Online gambling allows people to gamble wherever they are and is not bound by place. This is the main attraction for gamblers and people who are new to gambling, so this can make new people addicted after knowing it for a while. Especially nowadays, people can buy gadgets at affordable prices and are supported by internet connections available in many places, allowing them to play gambling wherever they want.
To understand the vast upgrade in technology any one can see the online gambling platform how much up gradation is done. Now a days gambling is very comfortable which can be operate at home or abroad. But there was a time when people have to hard work for this gambling. Now those problems are gone. People simply connect their card or wallet to make a deposit. It is said that there has been a major revolution in the gambling industry.

Yeah, physical gambling has transformed into online gambling and with the use of crypto currency, it is very easy to signup, deposit and gamble/bet online. Previously we need to have a credit card in order in order to bet online, but now with crypto it is easiest to access gambling.
However, there are some drawbacks for this as well, because kids, children and minor now also have access to gamble and they can play online where KYC is not compulsory.
1739  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: September 26, 2022, 02:59:29 PM

it is undeniable that if a gambling addict gets a big win, they will continue to play even though it looks very out of control, but they will continue to play to feel satisfied with what he wants. but actually if he keeps playing and loses all his money he will regret it and will keep looking for money no matter what to keep playing. because in the mind of a gambling addict only wins with bigger and bigger wins without thinking when he does like that he will keep losing more of his money

Regret is always next to that kind of un-controlled gambling experienced, instead of enjoying the money that you win, there are some gamblers who push to continue and try to add more, thinking that they can easily repeat what they've done and win larger amount of profits, sad thing that they will bring it back to the house and leave themselves empty pocket.

Very important to have that control if you wanted to enjoy and experienced luxury when winning a jackpot.

All decisions will remain to in your hands. Be wise if ever you have that chance of winning the pot money.

There are two mistakes that almost every gambler makes in their life. Even if one is an experienced gambler, still they will do this mistake willingly or unwillingly.

The first mistake is that after winning in gambling, the gamblers become greedy and think they can win every game. They take more risks and then lose everything.

The second mistake is that after losing in gambling, they want to play more in order to cover the loss. When you play for covering your loses, you will most probably lose more.
1740  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain? on: September 26, 2022, 02:18:46 PM
that reason is not enough to say bitcoin will die after 2025. even after all bitcoins are successfully mined it will not cause bitcoin to die because the number of bitcoins is very limited and crypto users are growing. bitcoin is the most popular crypto, if bitcoin dies or is in danger of dying of course crypto will not develop this fast.

When all the bitcoins will be mined, it means that there can be no more bitcoins in circulation. This means that the price of bitcoin will rise more and it won't become dead.
Of course, there should be demand for bitcoin. For bitcoin to be dead, there need to be some circumstances where everyone in the world stops using bitcoin because of some flaw or anything, which won't happen for sure.
