1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2017, 07:55:52 AM
Not buy BTC when the price $300, just thinking the price will go down down and down again but I'm truly wrong, and get another chance when BTC price $600 I'm stick not buy and finally I buy when BTC price is $1,300, my BTC value doubled now.
We are the same on having doubts on a particular price range of Bitcoin and back into those years i do really believe that the price might be at its highest thats why i do really hesitate to buy even more because im afraid to risk money but sadly the price had risen up later on which it really makes some regrets and comes to a point on not able to buy again because the price is already high to buy a whole bitcoin.
1722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: August 06, 2017, 01:04:45 PM
If you considering a cryptocurrency that is stable to invest in i would recommend bitcoin but if you do mind taking a chance with some altcoins you could get back better profits than bitcoin which will depend on how well the project has been marketed and generally if the project has a good team to manage it
I will suggest him the same. There is no need to go after altcoins. Even short term trading with altcoins produces great results if right decisions are taken on right time. Moreover bitcoins are currently the most demanded coins. They are ruling the crypto world. Investing into them right now can give you a secure future.
although some time we feel the need to invest money in altcoin but still i think we have better chance to invest money in bitcoin and get some profit.

Its safer yes since btc is now well established but looking at experienced traders, iit would tell us that its possible to make money pretty consistently with altcoins. Im not putting one over the other as i have investments in both but if you're agressive type, btc would take longer time.
Speaking or talking about the duration on profit making i can say that bitcoin would really takes longer compared on altcoins in the market but this one would really be good for long term. You can have both if you do really have the money to put in but for me i would being more focused on putting on bitcoin and some on alts at the same time. Having both things would really much better for me.
1723  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 06, 2017, 12:07:40 PM
If bitcoins price comes to a point on where its price have been stabilize already then im sure we are already on the state on where it is being already accepted worldwide since price is stable already.Yes,it would really be famous since its been known by most people but for sure traders and investors would really jump in another coin which is volatile because they cant able to make profits if the price is already stable.
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ERC20 tokens classed as Altcoins?? on: August 06, 2017, 08:41:05 AM
How do you view any ERC20 tokens you might hold?

Since they don't have their own blockchain and are somewhat reliant on the success of the Ethereum ecosystem...

I'm trying to work out the best ratio for my holdings in terms of Bitcoin / Ethereum / Altcoins so where to group the ERC20 tokens I.e. BAT, OMG, CFI, TKN, CVC.

I'm thinking to follow the general market consensus so 50% BTC, 25% ETH and 25% Altcoins.

What does your portfolio look like?

Thanks,
Rich

I'm thinking to follow

Thanks,
Rich
All other coins in the market besides bitcoin would really be considered as Alts and theres no doubt on that since we do really have only one bitcoin and other are just alternative but engaging on them would really give us potential earnings or profits in near future depending on the coins you have invested in.Those partitions you do made is quiet a good line up.
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash? More like bitcoin crash! on: August 04, 2017, 02:51:45 AM
On bittrex its still pumping hard!!! Grin

Wow, I like this style, I have bought some BTC before August 1st and now I have the same amount of BCC, the price is very nice for me. I do not know what is the future of BCC, but making profit is enough for me.

Yes i also bought the end time before hardfork process, and i have earned bcc an amount equal to my btc balance, but i don't know much for the future bcc just hold for few week to know market price and wait for right time to sell it and get some profit from free coin.
If you did really just wait for the price to surge up and then sell of on 1k price point then you are making good amounts from free money came from bcc because if you do see the charts and price now it tends to go back from its origin and it seems the hype is already over for this altcoin. Luckily did sell off on to those price ranges.
1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is decentralised nature of bitcoins really good ? on: August 03, 2017, 03:49:14 PM
I was wondering that making a person CEO or something to organise and handle bitcoins  is good or the current decentralised nature ?
This is contradicting and the term decentalization isnt fit on the question itself. When we do speak about decentralized it cant really be controlled or manipulate. There are no organizations,CEO, government would able to handle such thing. If you do have your bitcoin you are the only one who do have control on it and no people can able to touch that or get it from you as long you do secure its private keys and this is the main thing why lots of bitcoin users caught their attention.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash is Cancer. on: August 03, 2017, 02:31:01 PM
Totally agree. Actually Bitmain is cancer.
Their currency is trying to kill bitcoin but community is bigger then bitmain.

Bitmain cant really do nothing if the community would decide on which way they would go. Bitcoin Cash is really a Cancer and i dont know why other people do really love its existence.I do sold out all of my BCH on a certain price i dont care on what price point as long i can dispose those coins things off. BCH cant kill Bitcoin as long community wont really support it. It would really just still remain as an altcoin.
1728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When investment goes -100% on: August 03, 2017, 12:30:00 PM
So I'm actually facing this dilemma at the moment. I made three investments in three coins at poloniex.
Now all three of those are down more than 100% of the value that I bought them for, so I guess I got no options but to wait it out. It may take long time to get back to the value where I don't lose too much, but that is the only option I have.
Have you experienced anything similar in your tradings? How do you deal with such situations?
This thing is really just a normal thing on trading world on which traders or investors do really see negative on their portfolio and really cant be avoided on which it would really be the reason for us to panic and would think up to sell on loses to prevent much more loss of money and you are right it would really takes time for the coins to rise up again its price if you can able to handle the risk or lose of money then its your choice but if you are not on a hurry then better to hold it of.
1729  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: August 03, 2017, 11:42:26 AM
Honestly I believe bitcoin is better since one you don't use your credit card so you don't loose you needed cash but instead your cash that you could easily earn back from mining. Plus, it's open to all ages unlike credit cards.

I had to admit that crypto currencies for me are better. With your explanation about credit card and cash, it's why I like to use crypto's. Though the acceptance of bitcoin is still limited it is not that popular here in my country for now. But there are some other bitcoin users so and it's one of the best way to purchase.
Even though we do like for cryptocurrencies to be the main thing here but we cant just really let those traditional things behind since its being majorly used on our daily living and as you said there are places on which bitcoin and other coins coins can be used which means we would really still stick up on using fiat currencies thats why i do select on the poll on having both things would be a best choice as of now.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Polo is insolvent (spidey senses tell me so) on: August 03, 2017, 10:41:41 AM
Reason Why.

Polo is not playing with the BCH.  Literally costing them $1Ms per day in fees.

I didn't understand this issue properly. Could you please explain better what it is happening to this regard? You mean fees that they don't earn or what? So why would they not play?
Most exchanges that support bitcoincash automatically gave there customers their coins if they were holding bitcoin on the exchange. Polo issued a no class action lawsuit change in their tos and keep all the customer's bitcoin cash. As polo has ownership of any coins you deposit until you withdraw them. So they made millions. Yet again stealing from customers. At the same time making a class action suit impossible. So every individual would need to pay substantial lawyer fees and would lose anyway.
Just like on other services which didnt support Bch then they would probably generate millions of money since they do keep them since their users couldnt able to get it since its not being supported which means its our responsibility to read up the things before the split if a certain exchange would support bch or not because if they dont then its the time to switch or transfer those bitcoin on other wallet. If you didnt able to get out those bitcoins then its your own fault. I dont have idea if polo did support bch or not. Didnt seek such information.
1731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Practice trading on: August 02, 2017, 11:57:36 AM
Hi, there are some trading sites that offers demo trading. So you could practice trading against the true crypto currencies economic prices. Or you could trade for as low as 0.0005. I think this is the minimum for some trading sites.

Hello im newbie and i dont have any experience as a trader. Can you discuss some solutions for my problem?
Demo trading is a really great thing for you to practice since you are just a total newbie so that you would able to get the fundamentals or basics on trading which at the same time you do learn.Trading cant really be learn on a short period of time thats why you would really need patience and time for you to be able to get the right idea on executing trades and if you do have questions you can always ask on this forum or even simply search on google.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you plan to quit the altcoin world? on: August 02, 2017, 10:31:30 AM
Maybe your friend lost a lot so decided to stop. altcoin is very profitable, I've been getting a lot of money on this job, I will never stop Cool
Its not actually a complete stop since he still holding of those coins which means hes still doing trading but only focused on long term which is also a good move.Knowing that there are 2 types of traders which are long and active day traders. Trading on altcoin is really a good source of money or bitcoin too if you do know on how and which coins should be traded.Op friend just decide to hold for long term and theres nothing bad on that one.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: adding to my portfolio on: August 02, 2017, 09:21:38 AM
I'm currently 50/50 in ripple/neo. Do you guys think another coin would be good for my portfolio or stay as is? I'm looking for solid long term projects. But I also don't want to be over diversified. Do you think 3 coins is a good portfolio? What would you add?
I would suggest you diversify your investment, no one can guarantee that the coins we are holding will succeed.
There are some coins who start with almost worthless in value that pump after devs making a great update, you should look for that kind.

I agree, and that's why I'm looking for another coin to add to my portfolio. But I'm thinking I only want 3-5 coins total. I'm looking at waves and omisego, but have some DD to do first.
Adding waves would be a good choice and yes diversifying is always been recommended as long you do have the money to invest in because as just been said above we cant really predict on those coins who do have potential because some are undervalued or just dont get some attention by the community but later on they do pump. As a trader we do really seek up always on potential coins.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much BCC can I get ? on: August 01, 2017, 10:25:31 AM
Let's say I have 0.01 BTC hold in my Elcetrum offline wallet

How much BCC can i get for free after the fork ?
1:1 Ratio on which you would earn BCC the same amount on your Bitcoin too. If you have 0.01 btc = 0.01 bcc which you will received after the split. Seems like this question have been answered already for how many times and been clarified better to lock this thread to prevent repetition on answers. Thank you.
1735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: August 01, 2017, 02:53:11 AM
If you dont trust in the prospect of BTC or other crypto, I suggest you rather stop trading.
This is the main thing which should be considered. If you dont have trust on any coin in the market and it seems you are just wasting your money then better to completely stop and move into other things on which you can see that can able to make you money because if you let these doubts would remain you cant really execute trading properly because you do have these kind of doubts.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you plan to quit the altcoin world? on: July 31, 2017, 01:09:07 PM
Have you ever thought about quitting this completely? My friend just bought some Monero and BTC and he said NO! Screw the altcoin guys! I'll work and relax and check back yearly. Cool dude. Needless to say he made more than 90% of daily traders in the year
Well we do have our different kind of ways on doing trading or investing.People are different on how they would do secure their profits either for long term or short term. There are people who do love to see profits on shorter basis. I can say long traders would really have much more profits on on most traders but would still depend on how coin would move its price on yearly basis. This mindset isnt bad though but still okay as long we do make money.
1737  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: July 31, 2017, 11:35:39 AM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
Yes , it is so possible and we cant deny it but if we see now in bitcoins stability or its bottom is stronger than before because the more applications and acceptance of bitcoins contibutes more in bitcoin price and support .In my opinion it has only a 5-10% chance to happen well maybe we don't know now what might be the problems in the future .
The downfall that you are talking about is not gonna happened any unless major miner decided to abandon Bitcoin which is impossible because they are currently having some good profit on it. Just accept the fact that it will not gonna dump anymore on the price of last 5-6 years.

Yes.It's in the hands of investor and Mining people of bitcoin. Not in any others hand. It's not at all possible for to loss it value. If the investor stop to inverse their own money means, the value of bitcoin will reduce some how. The are getting some Profit with bitcoin. Then why they going to stop Inversing. Henceforth, the price of the bitcoin will not reduce his value.
Well, we also see after incident BTC-e offline down in past week make all user keep money on BTC-e loss all money, the price of BTC just falldown to $2500 and bounce to $2900 very fast. So, in current support line of BTC very strong and most investor know Bitcoin future can growth more now.
We didnt still even reach 2900 as of these weeks or even on previous weeks. We are still on 2800 range and yes price do fall down again on 2500 range but eventually rise up back and now stabilizing on 2700+ prices which im little bit excited on tommorows event which we can able to see already the existence of BCC/BCH. For this case even though there would be a split its hard to believe that bitcoin would lose its value on a very easy and fast way. We are just young and have still long way to go.
1738  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: July 30, 2017, 01:41:49 PM
So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
Well thats a good way for you to teach them about the right stuffs on saving money since bitcoin or alts is money after all. Show them and tell them about bitcoin or alts its already you technique on how you would introduce it to them. Its better to let them learn on earlier age so that later on they would able to realize that money isnt something that can easily be earned but does really need hard work in able to earn that.
1739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose only if you sell on: July 30, 2017, 12:54:36 PM
Bitcoin resistance around 1814-1840 reached = STRONG support

If segwit2x activated and fully operational this weekend = back to 3,000 $ +++++

If not = hard fork = bitcoin will be traded around 900 $

What do you think ?
LOL , if segwit is activated or not the price will still recover segwit days and dumps is just an speculation and its effect is now going on in the market  .
Bitcoins will never go back in $900 that was too low and cheap if that happens maybe bitcoins will go down more than on it but as i said it will never happen . Keep holding on the price might have a new high after segwit.
Cheesy Segwit or not I think BTC prices will remain stable even will be expensive in the future. This is because bitcoin has gained the trust of the community.

I agree with you. I also think that the segwit will cause good things in the crypto world. I believe that it will only make the market price of bitcoin and the other tokens and coins higher. I had already loss an opportunity to gain profit after the segwit because I am one of those people who sold their bitcoins due to panic selling. I am new to trading and I was scared that my bitcoin in my wallet would dissapear because of the split. I converted most of my bitcoin into fiat during the dump and I regret it because after that, bitcoin recovered easily reaching $2800.
Maybe you mean about before segwit? Since we are not still done on august 1. Yes, we do really regret on our actions specially when we miss it already and seeing the price have risen up fast in a matter of short period of time. If we do buy on those dip prices we would definitely make profits on that one but sadly our emotions do have control over us on those times which causes for us to panic.
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to have fulltime income with altcoins trading ?? on: July 30, 2017, 03:36:26 AM
Hello there,i have learnt a lot about bitcoin and i am very interested in it.I also like trading but i have not done altcoin trading before.
I wanted to know can altcoin trading provide consistent and regular income ??
Its possible but this thing would depend on how big is your bankroll on which you do make diversification on your money purchasing multiple alts which you can able to manage on making active trading possibly earn a percentage on a day trade but this would really matter on how good you are on doing trading. I can say its possible but it wont be an easy thing as it sounds. It would really require effort and skills on trading to make this thing.
