I think some altcoins will be a better deal right now if you can find a highly rated coin for a good price. Bitcoin is going to probably be a safer buy right now but the price is so high that you could make more money with some altcoins. You best bet might be to diversify and buy some bitcoins and some altcoins.

You have a point but for me the better decision we been made for the mean time is to choose altcoins and used it to different sites as investment.

Speaking or talking about the duration on profit making i can say that bitcoin would really takes longer compared on altcoins in the market but this one would really be good for long term. You can have both if you do really have the money to put in but for me i would being more focused on putting on bitcoin and some on alts at the same time. Altcoin can also invest for long term, depending on coin you choose, the profit will be much greater than investing in bitcoin but so the risk is also higher and we will need a lot of analysis before invest. Investing in bitcoin is still the best and safest option, but the waiting period will be very long if we want to get more profit. For me, I only had small capital so I chose altcoin because it could help me earn more bitcoin quickly.
