UPDATE : ACCOUNT UNLOCKED. Hallelujah.

After many efforts, honesty and good faith always pays off.
Thanks to the Stake staff and anyone else here who wanted to help me I love you guys, I'm happy and relieved.

THANKS
Quote

Thank you thank you for telling the obvious truth

I feel violated on my private life to have sent twenty documents, to have taken selfies with different angles that they ask for, because yes even for the level 2 verification I had to redo 2 or three times my selfies. Put yourself in this position, we must see the identity card next to your face

THEY HAVE A LOT OF MY CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENTS. IN THE END WHAT? NOTHING

I would never have sent these documents if my money was blocked with them. But unfortunately I have to because there is about $15000 currently blocked on my account. Months and months of savings for me.

Besides, why go to level 4 verification to prove that I do not use a multi-account? My sources of income are determinants to judge if I use a multi account or not?
That's a really good news, I'm happy for you. Have you been able to withdraw all your funds? Which documents they have accepted finally? What has changed since yesterday in your situation precisely? Do you think posting those messages here, has helped to solve the problem or it has nothing to do with that? You seem to have deleted your post from yesterday and not quoted it entirely again in your last post, especially the last sentences. It's due to a query from them or it's just your own decision?

1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best strategy for high wagering/low losses on plinko? on: January 08, 2023, 07:08:57 PM
[...]
Probabilities are not distributed equally among all spots. Spots on the far right and left are less likely to be reached than the ones of the middle. So I think the better strategy is to write down the result of each draw of the plinko you are playing in order to evaluate the real probability of each spot to be reached.
Good comments and analysis. What I don't see the logic of is getting into complicated calculations to play EV-, i.e. calculating the EV of losing money. Gamble for entertainment, yes. Be aware that it is a long term losing game, too. Now, studying and doing complicated calculations for plinkoI don't see it, for that I would do that study and those calculations in something that gives me profit, like some investment or bets with potential profit.
If you are playing a game while participating to a tournament or a promotion, you need to care about the EV, a little bit at least. Because if you don't want to chase a reward from a promotion or a prize from a tournament for nothing, or even worse than that, for an unavoidable loss, you need to evaluate what losses you are likely to get from this game for reaching the requirement of the said promotion or the target you are aiming for the tournament.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best strategy for high wagering/low losses on plinko? on: January 07, 2023, 10:55:40 PM
I've been messing around with plinko on a couple sites. My normal strategies are 14 lines low payout and 16 lines low payout.

There are times I am dropping 200-400 $ balls so I get to wager alot, but seems like everytime I drop a big ball I hits a loss spot.

You play 16 lines, there is only 1 bad spot and that's directly down the center for .5x money lost. I've seen that slot hit 5x in a row.

So what's a better strategy?
Probabilities are not distributed equally among all spots. Spots on the far right and left are less likely to be reached than the ones of the middle. So I think the better strategy is to write down the result of each draw of the plinko you are playing in order to evaluate the real probability of each spot to be reached. After that you could calculate the Expected Value of each spot by multiplying its probability with its winning payout.

The Pascal's triangle shows how many paths can be taken to reach each spot.

Results from some simulations give an idea of the probabilities to reach each spot of a common plinko.

although I know a little bit about some of the ones listed in this thread, I think it's necessary for beginners to know more slang and terms in gambling, I think you need to update and add more information in this thread so that it can be understood by the readers. another beginner  Wink
No, I don't think it can be necessary to beginners here, since the level of the average discussions is very low in this heavily spammed section. I don't often see discussions using those words and when I see one, the context of the thread usually allow to easily understand the meaning of them. People know the level is low so they explain with simple words what they mean in general.
And, to be honest, I'm afraid this glossary will be used by spammers in order to be less easily spotted by bounty mangers, moderators, and the community.
1725  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 07, 2023, 09:55:01 PM
It's simple I provided:

1) Letter of deposit on my kraken account: refused
2) Certificate of quarterly turnover (equivalent payslip in my country): refused
3) Statement of annual turnover: refused
4) Statement of my professional bank account mentioning a receipt of pay related to my work: refused because the bank statement was used as proof of residence for the level 3 verification
5) They insisted that I had to provide one of the documents here:

https://help.stake.com/en/articles/5328395-acceptable-documents-for-source-of-funds

So I chose:
Sales of shared or other investments / liquidation of investment portfolio / bonds

I sold some of my shares and withdrew to my bank account.
6) I provided a statement from my broker indicating these sales: refused. I was asked for the bank statement for these transactions

7) No worries. I waited at the beginning of January to receive my bank statement mentioning "Sales of shared or other investments".
Refused without giving a reason.

They asked me for a payslip again.

Where is the logic ?
I wouldn't say where I see the logic because the only one I see here is not good. Your funds don't belong to them, you shouldn't have to send all those highly private and critical documents to them to get back your own funds. Especially after a recent hack of their customer datas in november on top of that. https://stakecommunity.com/topic/64397-phishing-e-mail-scam-november-2022/
On the contrary, they should assist you the most they can, to be able to quickly recover your funds. If they still think you have used several accounts, they must say it and take a clear decision about that, but rejecting official documents proving your identity with no valid reason in order to keep your funds, is dishonest, unprofessional and fraudulent. I don't think any court would agree with that. And I would add that this article from "help.stake.com" and those so-called requirements described into it, don't belong to the TOS accepted by the customers before sending their funds and playing there, and are even mostly unknown by the most experienced ones.
1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Store your seed phrase offline on: January 07, 2023, 09:19:13 PM
I had an experience where I stored my keys in the cloud, and I lost access to the cloud. Since then I no longer store any seed and pass phrase associated with my wallet in any software or online repository. I prefer to keep my phrases in a book that I can easily keep at home. Indeed, books can be lost, but I always save with backups and this makes me feel safe.
It’s not safer anymore to trust your seed phrases online even how trusted the app is because as long as its operated online, it will always be at risk of losing or hacking, and lose it completely. Personally, I have my own record book about all my passwords and seed phrases of my important documents. Yes, it can still be a subject for stealing but all I have written in there are already having their own duplicates and I kept hodling them in my secret vault at home.
I guess masulum is talking about BIP38 keys, or mnemonic seeds with passphrase (BIP39). It's not unsafe (against hackers) to store them online, if you keep the passwords or passphrases associated with them locally. But as he says, it's not safe against inaccessibility. If the host provider loses its datas, closes its doors or become unavailable for a long time, you'll lose your keys and your funds with them.
So if you are doing that, to be able to access your keys and your funds from anywhere for example, you must keep a back up of them locally.
Using books and sheets of paper is good unless you don't lose them or suffer a fire and/or a flood (usually when you get a fire you get a flood after it, which can destroy things not burnt initially), so it's important to keep at least one back up elsewhere.
1727  Local / Débutants / Re: Existe-t-il un logiciel de notification lorsque un coin est à la hausse? on: January 07, 2023, 08:23:10 PM
Bonsoir,

1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 06, 2023, 11:08:33 PM

Again, I'm just saying that the premise in the OP saying to 'bet once then nothing' sets the noobs the wrong idea about EV.  Sure it's the right spot to take but then what?  What if the bet loses?  What's the explanation that it was the right spot to take...  Where's the realizing EV part?

Ok..  Maybe I jumped the gun too fast by saying the premise is wrong.  It's more like it's incomplete.  As you may already know, EV is only realized over a large sample.  So yeah..

No worries. I do understand where you're coming from. It's just that EV have a different weight depending on circumstances: for a set up when you have unlimited bet attempts and unlimited bankroll - you'd be happy to go for it even if the EV was +0.000001 because you're guaranteed to make a profit (excluding the time factor). But for one-time event, or even for situation when you have limited bankroll and can only place X number of bets - that's where things get complicated, and that's what this thread is about.
Yes that's why you should understand that many people here, mostly none/small gamblers, see that as a trap or a bad deal at least. Because they've certainly experienced bankruptcy of their bank roll in the past by gambling on high odds bets or by playing slots with high volatility, without taking care of the risk management of their bankroll. It's not easy to do at all to be honest, even when you are quite experienced in gambling. Because losing streaks are not predictable unfortunately.
1729  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Games' RTP, variable?? on: January 06, 2023, 10:34:07 PM
I think they do everything to make you lose, look at those people who are gambling, they all are broke and addcited.
If they all would be broke there wouldn't be any gamblers. Winnings come with the territory as same as losses. That's why people gamble. They wouldn't get addicted or gambled at all if they didn't win as well. Some people just don't have any risk management and they don't cut their losses but gamble everything. These people would gamble on high leveraged markets is there wasn't slots around.
I agree with you, statistics from casinos and independent scientific studies show that most of people stop when they begin to lose too much money because of the human loss aversion. Random people feel more pain when they lose than they feel pleasure when they win, that's why they usually stop gambling before getting critical losses that can get them into real troubles and way before getting addicted. So people "broke and addicted" are just a minority of gamblers (and traders). Actually studies show that "only" between 5% and 8% of gamblers are addicted.

A study from Standford university has confirmed that by monitoring gamblers behaviors in a real casino.

Quote
Is gambling an addiction or a form of entertainment? Mostly the latter, according to a new academic study that found evidence that most people have strict “loss thresholds” they will not cross when gambling.

“Most of them won’t play after a certain threshold of loss has been reached. They tend to be conscious that, in the long run, they are more likely to lose than win.”

This is why Narayanan is personally convinced gambling is, for the vast majority of people, entertainment. “It’s like going to the movies. They set a budget, and enjoy the time that passes while they spend it. It’s not a completely irrational activity.”

“This is the first empirical study to test this theory on real-world gambling decisions, and we find that people are two or three times more averse to losses than satisfied with wins. This is also consistent with what other researchers have found in studies conducted in the lab.”

This.

We are reading your shared knowledge and we appreciate it. It is always good to have someone share their thoughts and give facts to the subject.  Any additional knowledge is always welcome Smiley.

Anyway, I ended at the rank 30 bracket again on the Weekly Crypto Crunch, use it to play on the platform but sadly got no good results my favorite slots aren't too generous during my session. Midweek Special - Baccarat Battle is about to end in 30 hrs.  Make sure to opt-in if you intend to play the game for the ranking.
Congratulations for your top 30 achievement at the Crypto Crunch Tournament mate, with all the bonuses and promotions they were offering since the World Cup, the contest wasn't easy at all. Now the promotions have ended, I guess it will be more simple to reach the highest positions in the coming weeks with lower wagering totals.
Regarding the Midweek Special - Baccarat Battle I don't try to do it most of the time, because the prize pool ($500 shared by 10players) is not very high while you need to wager rather high amounts to reach the smallest position(10th) for a $10 prize.

congrats on your Legend achievement mate.
it's okay that you lost a lot of money last year but you have achieved what you have set your goal. and I hope that in 2023 you can achieve the next goal to raise your rank to a higher level.
to be honest, I already have an account at Livecasino.io, but I haven't had the chance to bet here yet and I decided to try betting on roulette, but I will do it next week.
I hope we can meet at roulette later.
Thank you bro, see you there so.

I think @OP is complaining about the unrecognition of his wagering to reserve a bonus amount since it was established that he is one of the VIP that wagered the most in the said event.  I also think that there is a criteria he is missing.  If the event is for Platinum and above player only then no matter how huge @OP wagered, he will never qualify for the bonus.
According to what ryzaadit and Mahdirakib are saying this is not an official promotion or bonus with any public criteria. This is just a reward secretly sent to so-called "Top Players of The Month". Actually, it must be just a commercial reward to keep profitable high rollers there(that is to say, high rollers losing money) and to encourage them to continue to gamble large amounts, especially after big losses.

Same for me, I can access the website again without any problem now. My BTC balance along with the FUN, RP and WOF free spins ones, seem to be ok. My bets are still here, and my premium benefits too. Arsenal yes, Saints nope. Want to say Spurs surprised me but they're hardly a stranger to inconsistent results, are they? And Gunners fighting back with 3 quick goals (Saka!!), not missing Jesus at all.

@buwaytress (or someone else) have you already been able to claim one prize since the launch of this promotion? What reward did you get please? Because the prizes we can win are not mentioned in the Terms & Conditions neither anywhere else and I have no clue of what they could be. 150mbtc in one day is not an amount I regularly wager there, so I'm curious if this promotion could be interesting for me or not.

Afraid not. Just haven't had the time this holiday season to do even more than just a couple of sports bets here and there. I do remember the last time I did this kind of drop, the reward was about 5-10% of the wager amount, in the form of a freechip. But you might be able to get an answer from support or from someone in Club Talk.
Finally I've managed to wager those 150 mbtc in one day, to see what kind of surprise gift there were offering, and I got a $20 free bet for the Clubhouse Blackjack game at the end. Currently 150mbtc is worth $2500, so unfortunately it's less than 5-10% of the wagering amount (0.8% for me precisely) even if I wasn't expecting such high amount to be honest. There are certainly bigger gifts to win but I'm not sure to be able to wager such amount again before the end of the promotion.

Thanks.
We get the same error and it seems that all freebitcoin users also experience it and not just us, only this time the error lasts quite a long time because usually some time the website can be accessed immediately without problems, I tried checking on the freebitcoin twitter page and there was an announcement that they are doing maintenance https://twitter.com/freebitco/status/1610587269764911104 so we have to patiently wait for it to finish
Thank you for giving us the link of this tweet, because their servers seem to be shutdown since several hours now, and I was starting to really wondering what was going on, because the message from Cloudfare "Bad gateway Error code 502" is not explicit at all. Anyway I hope it's not a serious thing, and everything will be back quickly. At least to be able to access to our balance, the faucet and the other games are less critical.

1740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key from biometric data? on: January 02, 2023, 11:49:55 AM
Biometric identification is not new, it's used since many years in many serious areas and no big issues had been reported concerning that matter afaik.
I wouldn't say no big issues. There have been facial scanners which have been fooled by a simple photo of the subject. Someone was able to bypass an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner simply by taking a photo of the necessary fingerprint with his phone and then 3D printing a replica, in a process that took him under 3 minutes - https://imgur.io/gallery/8aGqsSu. Biometrics are not secure.
I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about keeping constant or at least keeping working your biometric ID, as I said it's used since many years in critical areas, for critical things with no public issues reported about that. If the system wasn't reliable it means it would be dangerous to travel abroad with a biometric passport, as it could prevent you from being able to return in your own country.
If you use alternatively 2 or 3 different biometric criteria for the same access/key I don't think anyone could consider it as unreliable. Someone losing his 2 eyes, all his fingers and his voice the same day, is less likely to happen than a bank losing your datas and preventing you from accessing your funds. And I'm not talking about losing the medium(mostly a sheet of paper) where people are storing their seeds currently. So a multisig wallet system or something similar seems to be more than enough for this purpose IMO.
