I know it must a bit of useless addition but I think country flag next to local boards would be better. I think this can be done by adding a tag next to board name Example: board-icon-flag-India India
I hope users are understanding what I am trying to say.
I think this would be a nice touch, and easy too. Country flag packages by international country code are easily downloadable. Yeah, it is. Lets wait for theymos confirmation for this modification. Please dont. German is not a country, its a language. The board is visited by people from many different countries speaking the same language. Thats like puting the english flag next to the international section. Its probably similar to other sections that reflect language spoken in a variety of countries (e.g. spanish).

!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!
I keep getting this senseless and stupid notification when a newbie contacts me. Whoever made that notification deserves a slap.
Slap theymos then ^^ Anyway this notification is useful when you're a lot in the lending sections or digital goods sections. It reminds you the rank of the guy that just contacted you to make an offer. Though I agree the font should be reduced and the red caps should be removed ^^ the problem isnt the font or the colour in my opinion but it could be less... offensive. "this is an imposter"... why not put something like "WARNING: This user is a newbie. proceed with caution" something like this? So you would rather have it warn against all newbies than only against those that are messaging where "a more veteran member" is expected? Dont skip the if. i rly dont mind this and i get that it's for OUR protection but you know, it kinda sucks when you're the newbie xD. maybe you're trying to get in touch with someone who wont even read what you say do to that warning.
but you know..better an intrusive warning than no warning at all imo.

This is no 'security flaw', and therefore it does not need fixing. Your whole post is based on assumptions and the conclusion is not relevant.
clickbait award 2016
Note: I am know to be a staunch supporter of cores advice
I previously thought I was simply too far out of the loop to find core's roadmap, I thought it was fair and I didn't think of it. But recently I decided I wanted to see what was planned and I had a horrible time finding out, including having Luke Jr. tell me "read", even though I already had. I doubt I am anywhere near the more ignorant bitcoin player. I don't think his sentiments were warranted. More importantly I think they were telling of something...
I believe the roadmap is clearly carefully and specially designed to appeal to the technically minded while appeasingthe community in a certain deceptive fashion.
I won't go into it all, but I wrote Greg and pleaded for a customer friendly road-map.
I am not asking for core to bend to the user's will, I am asking for transparency and clarity, regardless of the effects of that transparency and clarity on the community.
The current road map is a FAQ's with a link to an old memo, that one person wrote with a tl;dr that says "I propose..."
The roadmap should be on, or at least linked on, the core homepage. The url should be /roadmap. It should be graphical and easy to read for the average customer of the currency. It should be titled "roadmap" and it should explicitly state whether a hard fork is or isn't planned. If there is a HF planned it should have the size and the date. Otherwise it should state there is not plan yet.
Imo, because of this lack of transparency the quality of bitcoin suffers in the Nashian/Gresham sense, and I believe this is the most urgent security flaw that needs to be solved.
Thanks.
please do, the last time someone did something similar it turned out they didnt tell half of the story.

It was added after a largeish scam based on a similar username. There has been no such scam after it was implemented. (corrected by hilarious below) If you are offended by it... uhm... I dont know, take a walk?

-snip- The signature/encrypted message change now This is ajrah and today is april 25,2016 and with this message I confirm that I am the owner of this account. ICbrBHiWz1KE11pePGsvwDt9Mg0e3Alhmqs92Y1yyNgBaGWYfbR9xpx4/F1/l9S/dUctEDZqffoV1PX+cDz7KaQ=
The cursor stays signed message then i wait about 10 seconds to get back again ..then i cancelled and do signed again same that new signature then ? Is that ok ? Then i clivk signed again no notif if the signed message is successful on the blockhain.
What bitcoin client are you using for signing this bitcoin message, because what i get from the last one is "Message verified to be from 1KhhbCh5NouVeu38MkxeyH4MbwFsX19hsL (address wasn't specified)" which i think its not the address that you mentioned in the first post. Check this thread how to sign a message (if you miss anything) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345I am using blockchain. I think i have correctly signed a message but not already successful?? Whatever you did, we cant verify the message. Make sure you copy the exact same text, address and signature code. I try to change and signed again date is april 5 then april 25 the encrypted message change
There is no encryption involved. also and different from the first april 5 2016 signed but when i signed again with that that april 25, that encrypted message are de same .from this day. SO im thinking if the encrypted message varies from the date.
No, there is no timestamp build in. When you change the message it results in a different signature. This is the whole point, the signature shows that the message was not changed. Thats why its important to copy every symbol, even those you cant see (space, linebreak, etc.)

I am using electrum and in this if i have the passphrase that is enough for me to recover my wallet, but some wallets need the wallet.dat file to recover the wallet details.
Thats why we need to know if OP uses multibit classic (has no seed) or multibit HD (has a seed).

I heard Alienware laptops are rich in graphics card features. Does anyone already doing any mining with these kind of laptops. I work in marketing field and I need mining equipment with mobility. Any suggestions from your experience would be highly useful for me.
While gaming laptops can have desktop grade GPUs, the GPU mining area for bitcoin is long gone. You need specialized hardware called ASICs.

I don't use QT, I use Multibit.
multibit doesn't use wallet.dat. they uses .wallet format and .info for description and labels. that's what you need to copy. Yes, multibit.wallet Do you use multibit classic or multibit HD?

yes, i tried to restore my wallet with 2fa. at first i had version 2.6.3 but i tried version 2.6.4. and tried again, but nothing happens too. no, i dont encrypted my seed with keepass.
i meant, that i´ve searched for help and found a tutorial how to create a new password when someone lose his own password. (my english isnt good at all)
You can ask in the german section if that helps -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=62.0so i tried the tutorial but hothing happens. when i use my seed, then the only message that i get is, that "there is no seed for this transaction found". or if i use the btc adress where the money is, then i get the message that "you can only read". i can open my wallet and i see the money, but i cant use it. everytime when i try to transfer or something like that, then i get the message "incorrect password". edit: i used this tutorial https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1279836.0You used a 2fa wallet, that means you need two seeds to spend the funds. The tutorial you linked is for a single seed (no 2fa) wallet.

I'm even not sure whether also non-0-fee TAs were/are forgotten which were/are totally valid. At least it would be very helpful to have a probability whether a given TA will be included into the blockchain. http://bitcoinfees.21.co/ seems to be of no help to this last question, isn't it? As far as I know there are no websites that show probability calculation, and you can't calculate this based on a single node (i.e. your node). Different nodes have different rules. When it comes to zero confirmation transactions you can see that the delay is estimated between 15-Inf amount of blocks. It is like that for a reason. If your node has a very large amount of the available TX you can use it to make a good guess though. E.g. you can use estimatepriority[1] and estimatefee[2] to see how your TX is faring among the others you know about. If you are on the top20 in terms of priority among >50k TX its likely that your TX will get a confirmation without fee. It might not be in the next block though. 21.co does not take the priority into consideration. I guess because most dont even know to calculate (or query) the priority of their TX. what I don't get is that if you receive 2 BTC and then 3 BTC on 2 different transactions, They won't merge into 5 BTC but will remain as 2 separate value in your wallet. (as explained here : http://bitcoinfees.com/) However, when I send 5 BTC and choose to send those 2 separate amounts (2BTC and 3 BTC) via a single transaction, THEN they will merge as a single amount of 5 BTC in the receiving wallet. is that right? No, if you create two different outputs they are two different outputs even if they go to the same address. Its a bit of an arsehole move, you could even send someone 2 BTC in 0.001 BTC outputs each. Its a bit like paying a large bill in 1 cent pieces. Most wallets will not do this though, youd have to create a TX by hand or somehow force non-default behaviour for the wallet.

Ja. Armory ist ein sog. "full node" und hat daher eine vollständige Kopie der Blockchain (>70GB) sowie eine eigene Datenbank. Für die offline variante ist das nicht nötig, aber für die online version.
Perfekt, dann funktioniert Armory also Online Mac <--> Offline Windows. Danke!
Z.B. bar.

i really laugh at peoples naivety..
when over 2000 people at the same time decide that 13cents is the minimum. suddenty everyone will start to spend 18 cents as the minimum.
this is because people are blindly incrementing the tx price by 0.0001 each time. instead of smaller amounts in between.
so remember what your using, ... try not to jump so high each time
0.0001btc = $0.045c 0.0002btc = $0.09c 0.0003btc = $0.135c <- some say this is new minimum 0.0004btc = $0.18c 0.0005btc = $0.225c <- some services already have this as the minimum 0.0006btc = $0.27c 0.0007btc = $0.315c 0.0008btc = $0.36c 0.0009btc = $0.405c 0.0010btc = $0.45c
try not to get it to 45cents with just 5 more decisions for the minimum.. try to use amounts inbetween to avoid it jumping too fast.
-lets keep the propaganda aside, shall we?-
This is very good advice and it shows the idiocy of a "default fee". You can not remember a number that will always get you a quick confirmation. Such a default fee does not exist or it is unreasonble high most of the time. The demand for space on the blockchain changes with every block found. If you dont use a wallet that is able to give you a good estimate you have to get it from a different source, e.g. 21.co.

Is that so? But I'm not just spamming around and I'm doing my best on every post that I make. ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) I hope moderators would help me with this matter to unban my account. Its unlikely that it will be unbanned. Is there no time given?

i read so many topic about "what would you do if bitcoin disappear" or "what would you do if bitcoin die" etc , but do you think what will happen if blockchain collapse ?
What do you mean by "blockchain collapse", the blockchain is stored on at least 10000 different systems around the world. example like the previous bank L*b*rt* Reserve, will bitcoin rate drop ? or will raise because bitcoin rarity ? what do you think ?? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) and what next step ? using xapo or what web will be your bitcoin wallet ? i just curious what next step the member in here will do ,, I think you confuse blockchain.info with the blockchain. One is a service and the other is not.

Once upgraded to beta wallet unfortunately you can not go back to the old version. Your only option is to just create a wallet. Also please be inform that web wallets are not secure so I suggest you use a different type of wallet such as a desktop wallet or an offline wallet
What do you suggest? Bitcoin core requires too much space on hard drive, I heard about MultiBit HD. Multibit HD and Electrum 2.x are the most common light wallets for desktops, but there are others[1]. mSIGNA will require a full node, so you might wana stay away from that if you dont want to use core.
