To preserve their wealth.

That is not a concept of Bitcoin, that is a way in which Bitcoin is used by people.  Bitcoin is open source and can be easily copied and reproduced.
Incorrect. Bitcoin's most valuable aspect is that it has the most powerful computer network on the planet securing it from attack. This advantage cannot and will not be replicated by any altcoin.

Nothing within Bitcoin itself gives it an advantage over altcoins or copies.
To put that another way, "Nothing within any altcoin gives it an advantage over bitcoin, so there is no reason to ever switch, and 8 billion reasons not to. Bitcoin is software, it can simply be modified to include any advantageous innovation created in an altcoin."

I wouldn't trust all my investment in an altcoin. Bitcoin will survive. Altcoins depend on whether people are interested in them will not.
I wouldn't trust a dollar in any altcoin.

1763  Economy / Economics / Re: Currency Wars - the defining crisis of our time? on: October 22, 2014, 04:56:48 PM
it's good because paper fiat money is perceived as less valuable.
It's because the smartest people in the rooms at those meetings smell blood in the water for all fiat currencies...

They are just now realizing that any nation left holding the fiat (false money) bag is going to be fucked, and now they know why the U.S. is unwilling to part with its gold.

This is the "concerned" phase... it won't be long until most nations enter the "panic" phase, and that's when things could get violent.
1764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are Bitcoiners Neoliberals? on: October 22, 2014, 03:13:01 PM
"Neoliberal" is a phony made-up word by people who want to limit others' choices.
Nope, it's not. Read more books.

That is how you write a letter in a professional fascist setting friend.
FTFY. Sorry you have to beg your masters not to use violence against you for exercising your right privilege to engage in free trade.

I, however, prefer to disobey and stream their violence live to the world, shaming them.

1767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitPay Asks for Help in Saving Bitcoin from Banker Puppet Ben Lawsky on: October 22, 2014, 12:59:16 AM
China should invest big in bitcoin so that people will not be forced in using bitpay and coinbase.
They won't, empowering individuals is antithetical to the interests of any totalitarian state.
1768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Should One Start With Bitcoin Right Now on: October 21, 2014, 02:15:24 PM
Why should someone (not knowledgeable about bitcoin) should start spending hours and hours to learn about bitcoin's concept. Why should that someone start right now?
Why? Because of the enormous opportunity cost of not learning about it. If you're wise enough to be here asking this question, you're wise enough to know why you need to know.

Here, I'll make it easy for you:

Bitpay Asks for help in Saving Bitpay from Bankper Puppet Ben Lawsky

Bitcoin will thrive with or without new york.

Period.

Just break the law. Make their insane laws irrelevant just like we did with copyright law by using torrent technology.

As a New York resident, I fully intend to break this law every chance I get. I'm looking forward to the day these fascist fucks try to make an example of me.

1771  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are Bitcoiners Neoliberals? on: October 21, 2014, 12:41:11 AM
Bitcoiners are not a monolith.

You'll see people from all over the political spectrum, this is a technology.
1772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Russia Hates Bitcoin but Might Love the ApplePay on: October 20, 2014, 03:34:55 PM
Not surprising.
Bitcoins is all about personal freedom, totalitarian regimes will obviously be against it.
Nailed it.
1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First church to accept bitcoins on: October 20, 2014, 03:23:58 PM
Just because something is widely accepted does not make it a fact.  Just because society says something is good and OK does not make it moral.
I couldn't agree more. Also this has absolutely zero to do with what we have been discussing, which is head-in-the-sound superstitious ignorance.

The huge problem is that most of the world just blindly trusts what is told to them or even taught to them in textbooks or go along with the popular beliefs.
Holy shit, did you really miss the irony of that statement?

Replace "most of the world just blindly trusts what is told to them or even taught to them in text books"
with      "most of the world just blindly trusts what is told to them or even taught to them in holy books"

Guize, if i make an Ebolacoin, how many of you will buy in?

We can use the proceeds to fund ebola production, or something.
1776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First church to accept bitcoins on: October 20, 2014, 01:21:34 AM
Unfortunately I have trouble trusting scientists that portray theories as fact.  That is a huge problem.
Fixed that for you. You are beyond my help or anyone else's until you stop distrusting widely accepted scientific fact.

Pay attention now, because I'm only going to link this once, and it is truly poignant, truly beautiful, truly moving.
1777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First church to accept bitcoins on: October 20, 2014, 01:08:53 AM
Some of the radiometric information I used is found here: https://answersingenesis.org/geology/radiometric-dating/radiometric-dating-and-proof/

If you want to learn about Christianity, go ask a priest.

If you want to learn about Demons, go watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

If you want to learn about Earth, you ask a fucking geologist for fuck's sake.

This is not demon-surgery, goddammit. Stop wasting my time with this absurd creationist horseshit.

THIS IS YOU!
1778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First church to accept bitcoins on: October 19, 2014, 11:53:25 PM
... evolution begin with "Millions of years ago" or "Billions of years ago."  This is taught as a fact and now everyone just blindly believes it to be a fact.  I am the one that is seen as crazy because I just don't go along with the "brainwashing" hard science that is taking place.  Is the "millions of years" time frame a proven fact or has everyone just been brainwashed to believe it is a fact?
Fixed that for you. Earth is 4.54 +/- 1% billion years old. This is a proven fact by radiometric dating. It's also common knowledge for any sane person, including every respectable scientist. Sorry, you don't get to discount hard science because it offends your religious view.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_Earth
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Earth_creationism

Claiming, in 2014, that the Earth is younger than 4.5 billion years old, is just as ridiculous as claiming the Earth is flat or claiming Sol revolves around Earth. It's flatly moronic, and you should stop doing it immediately.

Are there any other great mysteries you'd like me to google for you? Spoiler:  You will (and deserve to be) mocked and derided until you stop disrespecting hard science.
1779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First church to accept bitcoins on: October 19, 2014, 09:06:07 PM
The indoctrination by the "scientific community".

Indoctrination is the process of inculcating ideas, attitudes, cognitive strategies or a professional methodology.

It is distinguished from education by the fact that the indoctrinated person is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have learned.

Science can only educate, never indoctrinate. Unlike religion, critical examination, observation, deduction, peer review, and doubt are the foundations of the scientific method:

Witness, ye internet friends, the hatred and ignorance that grows from superstition:

Homosexuality has no good natural purpose.  Heterosexuality has an inherently good natural purpose -- to perpetuate the species.
You disgust me. It's one thing to have imaginary friends as an adult. Hell, you can even go telling other adults this embarrassing, cringe-worthy thing about yourself. I don't care! But when you start spreading blind hatred, you're fucking repugnant. To do it from behind a computer makes you a repugnant, hateful coward.

I dare you to bring your ignorant, backwater, hateful ass to New York City and say this shit outloud. See what happens. Spoiler: You'll get your ass kicked, and you'll deserve it. If there is a creator, you are a disgrace to all creation.

1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is better than Apple Pay? on: October 19, 2014, 08:58:42 PM
The answer is they are not even comparable. This is like asking if your company's private intranet is a threat to the HTTP protocol. It's laughable, really. The two are not even in the same league.
