At least $1000
1762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who can we blame for this sub 500? Mtgox and China? Or is this restructuring? on: May 13, 2014, 04:46:47 PM
So what your saying is that this is the best time to buy?
No, by all means wait until the 'Optimism/Belief' cycle starts again along with everyone else.   Grin

Btw, just a future tip: Market mover whales with deep pockets are known have insider information at least 6 months to a year in advance of major announcements or events.  You think that it is just a coincidence that bitcoin activity picked up majorly in January 2013, only to culminate into the ultimate run up in November 2013 (*cough* China, *cough* US Fed Review)?  Hmmm?  So you think that is air that you are breathing now, Neo?  Hmmm? Interesting.   Grin
6 months notice?  No government plans that far in advance
1763  Economy / Speculation / Re: The past and future of Bitcoin’s price - an article by The Cryptocurrency Times on: May 13, 2014, 04:43:45 PM
No substance.  And quite bearish prediction if you ask me Smiley

Nobody is to blame, it is human nature:

So what your saying is that this is the best time to buy?

Today Bitpay is coming with a huuuuuge announcement right?

We will see. It is the new crypto trend to pre-announce announcements and not deliver.

It will just hurt bitpay to tweet about something big and then go silent.
They don't want to ruin their reputation  , I hope.

Where did you hear this? I couldn't see anything about an incoming announcement on their Twitter. If they do have anything to announce they'd keep it until the conference this week surely?
Check their twitter.

https://twitter.com/BitPay/status/465206481474686976

It's not really an announce but it's a hint something will come. And that thing is big =))))
But i'm really worried about how big or small this might turn to be.

1770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does the US Military Think Bitcoin Is a Terrorist Threat? on: May 12, 2014, 11:26:11 AM
They are trying to drive the price down to pick up a few cheap coins Smiley
1771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 12, 2014, 09:09:38 AM
buying seemingly started on both stamp and huobi

I was expecting someone to close the arb gap on them. but this will do.

So we're through the December ban , the January one , the April 15 deadline , the may 10th , why do people still watch Huobi?
Because soon China will ban bitcoin again  Smiley
1772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets crowd fund a lobbyist on: May 11, 2014, 05:15:01 PM
before even organizing a fundraiser, before even mentioning that money needs to be involved or requesting who will manage the money.. shouldnt the OP atleast come up with a list of WHO and we poll vote WHO would be a good lobbyist. and then check the winner of the poll actually wants to do the job.

then and only then we should have a bitcoin address from that winner to accept payments to cover his costs+labour

Sorry but I am not familiar with US politics.  How would I go about finding who would be a good lobbyist?

failures
1. your not even american so now no one will want you to 'manage' funds for a american project
2. you dont even know politics so no one will trust you know what to do
3. you dont even have anyone in mind

so already you have failed any test of trust, understanding, or desire

please may i NEVER see you ever offer a fundraising project ever again. you have no clue about the project you propose and so no one will give you funds for something that has no substance or pre-planning

have a nice day
hahaha see my original post: "I would nominate myself to coordinate the effort, but it would probably be better done by a more senior community member."

I think the genie is now out of the bottle
As the many innovative businesses innovating within btc come to the fore, benefits will be obvious to all
Lobbying is the hallmark of centralised, compromised systems
Let's try not to go there

Yup. Let them do what they have to do. Bitcoin isn't another corporation they can take on and just try beat by throwing money at politicians. We're stronger and bigger than that.
Seriously?  Roll Eyes

Yeah. Serious. What wrong with that? Who can they attack? We're a decentralised network with many heads. We're not a centralised corporation that can easily be taken down.
We are not stronger, just more difficult to to attack - being able to dodge punches does not mean you can throw them in a fight.  And bigger... just come on... compare the value of dollars in circulation to bitcoin
1774  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin ever fucking go up? on: May 11, 2014, 04:47:52 PM
Please sell so it will go up
1775  Economy / Speculation / Re: You've all been fooled: China is NOT in control of this market on: May 11, 2014, 04:35:51 PM
We need to get BTC into India to drive the price up again like 2013

I think we are still mostly sitting in the ''being laughed at'' phase, but the ridicule is becoming more and more vitriolic so we're getting close to the actual ''fighting'' phase.

You are 100% correct. The battle lines have yet to even be drawn, be ready because the war is about to start.
Winter is coming...
