As much as I agree that log scale charts are the proper way to view Bitcoin price history, using it as a marketing tactic to dupe newcomers into buying up the price ranks up there with mBTC/bits (wherever the hell "bits" came from) and "place bids with sideline funds to create the appearance of support to push the price higher" as my biggest peeves in this community.
Glad there is still some sensible folk around here. Everybody seems so intent on finding ways to pump the price all the time. This whole BITS thing..... they literally want to dupe newbies into thinking they are getting more than they are. No, bits (smaller units with a name that can be remembered by any layman) is needed to make prices of goods easier to read and understand, and to overcome the irrational fear of indivisible bitcoin. Has nothing to do with pumping or luring newbies. If all it takes for newbies to invest is to give them few gazillion of new shiny coins, then dogecoin would've been through the roof, but it's not, just jumping up a little Well, DOGE did shoot through the roof for a while before collapsing back down to reality. I'm not sure I understand why this is necessary to for laymen to understand/read/use, especially considering BTC has already achieved such acceptance as a unit. Having a worthless currency is completely different from having a currency that is easier to use troll harder

Yeah..... I guess you and I have different priorities here. I can't imagine they could be come to worth 4x the value of a bitcoin -- after all, they are..... bitcoins -- but to each his own.
I imagine that by the time the sun is a red dwarf, if they are worth 1% more than 1 BTC, the gain in value is quite enormous. That kind of wealth preservation is hard, very hard, to find. The art market is quite volatile. It's easy to make or lose a fortune on Cremonese violins or Faberge eggs. Easy to lose, if you have a forced sale. Easy to win, if you have infinite patience. They may be worth more, but who would actually care enough to pay the premium?

Or because its a sunday.
Just a thought.

Really nice design on the site. Really shows that it pays off to have a designer make the site and not just try to make it on your own, which most people usually do.
Good luck with everything.
Thanks a lot. Made by myself and our graphic designer

Maybe they'd rather developmen their own digital coin.
There is no doubt in my mind that this won't happen. Amazon loves to try and do everything, but it all sucks I wouldn't be so surprised if they did. Then again, eventually I also get a feeling that some countries may enable their own form of their local currencies into their own crypto. I think this has already started happening, for example in Iceland they have auroracoin http://auroracoin.org/But if amazon decided to make their own coin it wont so successful(marketing it would be too expensive for them) they would be better off using bitcoin. You do realize that was a spectacular failure?

I bought them at market value

Make it easier to use secure and store Also to purchase should be as simple as go to exchange skip the verification process purchase and done Or a direct debit from the account converted to Bitcoins. Still a way away from that though
This. I believe the future of bitcoin is as a back end system to transfer IOUs of cash. For instance: a customer pays in $ with debit card, but the money transfer is the equivalent amount in bitcoin from the customer's bank to the merchant's. The merchant bank debits the merchant's account with $. Should the bank have liquidity problems, it should have a right to instantly sell those bitcoin to the customer's bank for $

Everyone who fell for the bear trap must be feeling pretty fucking stupid
|
|
|
July rally looks more likely everyday
|
|

The bear trap is worse than I expected. Feel sorry for everyone selling right now
I told you so.
I wonder how much money the bears just lost falling for this obvious bear trap
|
|
|
Its official it was a bear trap!!!!!!!!!!
|
|
|
in your dreams. It will probably sell for way less. I dare you to bet on betmoose if youre so confident.
Ignore this bear. It makes far more sense for the coins to sell above the market value, rather than below

|

Things looking increasingly bullish
I think I can feel it coming!! Gonna enjoy the next few months
Yup this is a perfect bear trap

I would seriously consider moving there and/or registering by business there if they do this. UK banks are seriously hindering bitcoin businesses and soon the whole country will be playing catch-up with the new bitconomy

I think the real question here is: if bitcoin fails as a currency will the blockchain technology continue?
If you have to ask this question, you can't understand why Bitcoin is even valuable. The blockchain is the beating heart of Bitcoin, but it's also so much more... I can understand both the value of bitcoin and the blockchain's potential. But there is no denying that if bitcoin fails, it will be hard for the blockchain to shake-off the negative associations

Lets see how many people will miss out on the July rally
