Follow that. Post it here if you want it verified quicker. I can ban the account but not restore it to you.
1782  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, many community suggestions but silence from your side.[Answerd] on: August 21, 2018, 07:25:38 AM
Fair enough, though I suppose the discussion could be continued in the my suggestion thread, but up to you.
1783  Other / Meta / Re: appeal on: August 21, 2018, 07:14:11 AM
I might have had some sympathy for you but it's clear you are not here to contribute. You just want to spam worthless contributions to earn and rank up in the process. You were banned for this very thing and yet are continuing to do it on this account:

How will the process work? I mean, how do I use PMA tokens?

How will the process work? I mean, how do I use darwins tokens?

How will the process work? I mean, how do I use  INGOT COIN tokens?

You don't care about the answer to those questions. You're just doing it because the only effort it requires is you changing the name of the crapcoin ICO.
1784  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, many community suggestions but silence from your side.We need you. on: August 21, 2018, 07:06:22 AM
I don't think all of those ideas are good.

I didn't say they all were, but it's more of a brainstorming session and people are free to chime in if they think they're good, bad or why they won't work. Some probably may not solve much or annoy more users than they benefit, but I'd rather propose something and it be shot down or improved upon with a better solution than say nothing and watch the forum continue to burn in the process.

For example "Implementing a redirect notice/landing page for when users click an external link urging them to double check the url for phishing and possibly warning them of the dangers of buying things from autobuy links and that they should likely use a trusted escrow etc)." would really slow me down.

If you have an issue with clicking bad links, download firefox or an adblocker and it'll show you the links you're hovering over before you click them.

Pretty sure most if not all browsers show you the link when you hover over it but that isn't the point for several reasons. People can click on the links accidentally as I almost have a few times and when the domain is very similar upon first glance it's not always easy to tell. That's usually how they sucker people in. Users are also getting scammed by buying things from autobuy links and they often come from google without signing up and the sellers feedback isn't shown (which is often painted in red). Sure, they should probably be more careful with what they buy and from who but this is just an additional safety measure. It could easily be toggled on/off in settings if people didn't like it but I have seen this feature on many forums and websites so it obviously has its purposes.

Can we stop making threads that have @theymos in the subject, I have spotted two and I'm already really annoyed.

Some people are also really annoyed that he barely ever replies to PMs or the numerous threads created about suggestions to make this forum a better place or get help with simple issues. Things not getting done is annoying for everyone just as I'm sure it's annoying for theymos constantly being bothered about them. I'm really annoyed that I get messages pretty much every day containing a variation of the phrase "I messaged theymos and cyrus but didn't get response" and it's usually always about things only they can do. Usually creating these sorts of threads is the last resort and only option left to get his attention. In fact, I even had to do it a while ago and it even worked.
1785  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators(Cyrus, hilariousand) do not responds. I do not know what to do. on: August 21, 2018, 06:10:52 AM
You're being a bit disingenuous with your facts here. I responded at least three times to you:

You just don't like the answers and I'm not going to waste my time saying the same thing over and over to the same questions you've already asked. I told you why your thread was likely moved but I wasn't the one who did it. Why don't you just archive or take a screenshot of the thread if it's imperative that you need to link to it?
1786  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators, I'm sorry for my mistakes and hope you forgive me on: August 19, 2018, 05:48:04 PM
Turns out that it was me who in fact banned you. You wouldn't have been banned for merely being on the Elon city campaign though, so it was either a mistake on my part or you did do something wrong in some capacity but it can't be confirmed either way. I unbanned the account since I can't be sure. If you are completely innocent then I apologise for that.
1787  Other / Meta / Re: Meta board flooded by account recovery thread ( ban/locked and hacked account) on: August 19, 2018, 05:16:34 PM
There is one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

The problem is that they're just not getting restored.
1788  Other / Meta / Re: What should be included in a newbie welcome message? on: August 19, 2018, 01:51:53 PM
I have read the OP but maybe i did miss it, if yes then forgive me in advance, but there is one thing i would like to suggest. I think it is a good idea if you include this kind of message to the newbie welcome message

If you are not a native english speaker, it is a great idea to visit your Local Board first and learn about this forum from there.

Well, i am not good with the words, but the point is to point them out to the Local Board since not all of us are native english speaker and members might come from any country. Thanks.

Roll Eyes Maybe actually read what is written first before pointlessly suggesting things?
1789  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] - Posting restriction for users wearing signature below Member rank on: August 19, 2018, 01:32:18 PM
Restricting signatures to certain ranks has been requested before in various formats, but I wholeheartedly agree with you. Juniors should require a minimum merit achievement of at least one merit and I think signatures should only be available to Members and above. Ten merit and being here two months isn't much to ask. Legions of bot armies are managing to get themself onto campaigns which are all too happy to pay them and this will never stop as long as all you need is 30 activity to become a Junior which bots can easily get.
1790  Other / Meta / Re: banned ( 7 days ) It's been more than seven days. on: August 19, 2018, 09:08:48 AM
Where does it say seven days? It looks like a permaban to me.
1791  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators, I'm sorry for my mistakes and hope you forgive me on: August 18, 2018, 06:03:31 PM

Thanks for your answer. If only my Eloncity's signature is not my reason to ban and I didn't "copy/past" in my only one post in global thread and in other local post's (proof from
Xal0lex https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4861725.msg44151817#msg44151817 ) , so who can tell me the reason of my ban?
Help me please to solve my problem.
Is there a technical opportunity to see who and for what banned a certain user?

The admins can see who banned who, but you probably won't find out the actual reason why that happened unless someone recalls why. It was either a mistake by staff (which will occasionally happen), or you did in fact break some rule. I'll PM theymos about it.
1792  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators, I'm sorry for my mistakes and hope you forgive me on: August 18, 2018, 05:23:14 PM
I think I found who and why banned my acc!

Recently, our Eloncity bitcointalk account got a mute warning. We've contact the admin and the reason is that we posted two signature campaigns on the same forum. While the eloncity 1st part ended on 8/2/2018 and the 2nd part started on 8/3/3018. There is no overlap. We appealed and now is waiting for the reply from the admin. Thanks for caring. Please follow us for more details.

If this is really reason of my ban than tell me please what kind of rules I violated ?

I can't comment on whether I banned you or not because I honestly don't know. I probably ban hundreds of users a month and I have personally banned at least 50 users baring the ElonCity signature alone for copy and pasting, but having their signature alone isn't enough to get you a ban nor does the above info you posted mean it was me. If you were banned then it was likely for a good reason and if you copied and pasted someone else's content then that's why. I previously searched your username both in Meta, the report queue and Staff forum and found nothing and I usually only act on information from one of those so I can't help you, but if you did copy and paste another's post or content from another website then that's why you were banned.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool on: August 18, 2018, 04:18:35 PM
A couple players have some concerns about the lack of 'privacy' in Superbru and want a predictor site like what BBC had.  I suggest somebody find a better site and suggest it to hilarious.

Tbh I really don't mind Superbru's lack of 'privacy' but I don't mind playing in a BBC predictor-esque site either.  I just don't want some players leaving the pool.

Edit:  Btw I'm in.

What lack of privacy exactly? I won't be changing site unless there's something much better. Superbru is likely as good as you're going to get though.

Please note: This thread is only for the users who have paid to play in the pool. If you're not involved and post in here your posts will likely be removed. Thanks.

The next Champions League tournament will be starting on the 18th of September 2018 and due to the success of the previous Premier League and World Cup pools I have decided to do one for the UEFA Champions League. The entry fee will again be £25 in bitcoin and the prizes will be distributed between the top five players who gain the most points. The actual prize amounts will depend on how many users join but all money in the pot will be distributed between the winners. We will be using the Superbru website to conduct the tournament and points are awarded as follows:

If you want to see how the tournament will be run please see the current Premier League pool here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4479837.0

If you wish to join up at £25 in bitcoin please state your interest below. Money will be collected in likely the week or so before the tournament starts.

1796  Other / Meta / Re: you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum. on: August 17, 2018, 05:29:19 PM
It won't be unbanned.  Create a new account and don't do the same thing again.
Why are you suggesting he do that, exactly?

Why not? That's what everyone else does. There's not a single admin looking into ban evasion so it's futile (or looking into anything else for that matter). You could have one hundred accounts banned and evade it on your 1000 others and the admins won't look into it. Rules are pointless when they're not enforced. Might as well just let people copy and paste since nobody cares about doing anything about it and if it wasn't for me and rickbig I doubt anyone would do that at all.
1797  Other / Meta / Re: you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum. on: August 17, 2018, 05:16:36 PM
I understand that ban forever. (((
(Can the trial period be somehow?)

It won't be unbanned.  Create a new account and don't do the same thing again.
1798  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators, please, restore my account lipochka_s !!! on: August 17, 2018, 04:35:31 PM
I want to be an active user of your forum and participate in its further development!
Thanks, Regards lipochka_s

You don't. You want to copy other's posts in order to get paid. Pure laziness and greed.
1799  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators, please, restore my account lipochka_s !!! on: August 17, 2018, 04:19:51 PM
It's forever. Looks like you were copying users posts. We don't need those sorts of users here as they're not here to contribute to discussion.

One would say that Bitcoin Sections are extremely undermerited looking at the numbers, but I'd say that Merit Sources do visit those boards. Nevertheless, we also find plenty of spam there (Bitcoin Discussion), and the really technical stuff is not that easy to follow and neither do those sections have a large amount of posts on a daily basis.

In the words of "great" Donald Trump. Bitcoin Discussion board is a "shithole" and I don't blame merit sources for not visiting that place often. But people helping out in the technical stuff do deserve to be merited. They are the ones who are actually "Helping" the users here. That's why I believe we should assign merit sources to different boards so that right people are meriting the right folks. You don't want a merit source who knows nothing about Bitcoin technicalities meriting users in that board.

Bitcoin discussion has become largely unusable. It's just full of farmers churning out their generic one liners. Go in any thread and play spot the farmer.

How many can you find on this page here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4820477.1140

Three merit for anyone if you can catch them all.

Can you spot them on this page and the one after?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4868904.80

4 merit for swatting the 4 bots there.

Remove signatures from Junior so these scumbags aren't going to get paid by some crapcoin ICO as soon as they've made 30 posts. Let's see how long it takes them to get ten merit to become a Member. Probably never. If you earn ten merits then you've earned your right to have a signature.
