It seems that many are happy now knowing that bitcoin has slowly recovered but the other altcpins are still struggling to recover. BCH is one of the crypto that has undergone the highest fall after the hard fork event.

Here in our local vpn is cheap and it doea onlt required minimum payment monthly to start enjoying the service. I have tried it before unfortunately i stop using the service because of technical problem that arises from time to time like updates and need to re install again. It is a trouble some when I badly need an internet connection but it will just pop up that application needs an update. So you will start again downloading updated files and spend some regular load foe the data needed for the download.

A phishing site does really well in scamming a users stealing the wallet information with its private key and stealing also what is inside of the wallet. There are many cases on this that happen sad to say many users had fall for.it. This is why I find this thread very helpful. This will aware new users of possible scamming scheme.
There are more Phishing sites than this so I encourage every users to post it here if there are spotted phishing sites..

Well for the good of the project, a team should not allow any issuance or selling of tokens either from the bounty hunter or from the investors/contributors unless the project had been working out already. Though it may take some time but it is the best way to keep the token value and.will.not be undervalued. In some.cases marketing the token has also a way so that tokens will not get undervalued like listing it to good exchanges like binance and other top 10 exchanges. Aside from that if the team offers buy back for the coins then that would be pretty good for the tokens not to be dumped by bounty hunters and investors. |

If we will continue to ban more users in the forum then we get down in terms of numbers of users. All of the registered users here had contributed the forum in any way so this is why I am a little bit concern on the users ban could be avoided somehow.
Theymos started a new procedure of appeal to prove that you are overall net positive for the forum. So good user will still be forgiven. All the net negative users will be banned forever overall improving the quality of user in forum. Yes, but it will take more effort to.do it unless if a new join users will be inform.ahead then this issues could be avoided. However, I have thought also that there could be some reason why admin had not yet implemented the welcoming message for.the new users here in the forum. Probably theymos wants to ban all shitposters, copy and pasting posts so as to get more users that can actually posts quality threads and replies. Whatever reason admi. will have if it is for the good of the forum then so be it. I will support to it. |

If you will have the knowledge and wit in posting or creating a thread then there is no reason that one will not be able to achieve a high quality post and even get rewarded by merits. Aside from that if you are not an Nativr English user then it will get one a hard time to construct a quality posts.
I suggest to use the google translator for users having issues in constructing grammar using English language. But, it is not recommended that all of the post should be translated by google. Just some instances when it is needed. Besides one does not need to do it especially if one can participate active discussions in local section.

as the other users pointed out that you can't load images as this is also the new update implemented by the admin to avoid newbie spamming in the forum. Jr. Member rank also now requires 1 merit in order to rank up aside from the required 30 activity in your account recorded.
And if you are in hurry to be able.to load images and get to use.the feature in this forum I suggest you to look on market place and see those legit users sellong bitcointalk account using trusted escrow service. However, it is said.in the forum that selling of accounts were discouraged. Many of users in that section were getting scam especially if the thread started by a newbie or a red trust user.

But isn't it obvious that plagiarism is bad? that stealing is bad? that's been thought over and over again in school. I find it hard to believe that ppl don't know it's wrong under any circumstances. But ye I guess, a welcome message is better than nothing.
Yes you are right but not all users are.like you. Many does not read forum rules and this is why we cannot change the fact that many of them got ban because of.signature campaign and just complying the number of post needed weekly to.get stakes for better rewards and less effort by copy and pasting posts of other users. TELegram.is a good.tool.to keep.us in chat with the other applicants. Telegram features has made it quciker since most of the investors are here in telegram. And then it was a choice.and hoping that those WITH telegram will going to HACE AN uPgrade ON it features like not altering a forwardeD PM' already. i bet that this is not beig done by other user because of thei hectic schedule. You can always assess yourself if the person you are talking to is a legitimate member of that project. If you can see an admin tag on their chat, they are legit. But, what you need to worry are those people that will DM you in order to scam you. Remember that admins on projects will not talk to you directly since it is against on their code.
Better yet always check their username as telegram only just allow one username and can't copy it. Though at least just report it spam and don't waste time talking to them. Like it's just simple but Idk why people still fall for this scam attempt. Perhaps greed or just plain ignorant. this is the common behaviours! usually, scammers, do not have a telegram username. They leave the field empty. It's possible to set up a blank username. This is the first clue of scam! Yeah I will agree in your update working.on it.hopefull that changes might be join to the post. As I have seen and observe when one in a hurry then still one couls go post becausw early in the morning has been a quite multi tasking. |

There is a loophole to this idea OP since airdrop.merit users has still some smerita that could.be pass on their alt accounts and then give it back to the original account being used. So, a user will be free from the demotion.
Whatever system running now in the forum is still good and I think there is no need to modify the merit system but instead it should be good if it will be given a chance comply a good quality post every week on users that has not receive any merits but had already been airdrop to another users.

This is not only a shitpost but it's pretty tasteless and probably should be deleted. Worse than your typical Stake campaign posting. This was in Hal Finney's famous Bitcoin and Me thread. Honestly I do not have patience to read this kind of long blog. But this kind of post is worth it to read. I hope all of will achieve what ge achieve. But I hope I am also still alive when get a success in crypto. I am now regreting that I did not believe in the first time that I met bitcoin wayback 2013 because I have almost waste my 4years before I believe and start to do and invest here in bitcoin.

Well there are chances that this account will be retreive again. The system of banning has been twisted a little bit for the good of users. This is really good news to every users that want to continue discussing in cryptocurrency topics but without wearing signatures.
It is a privilege to be here in the forum and wearing a signature is just a bonus. The important thing is that we can learn and earn as an extra source of income. It is not really that bad now. Admins started to become a user friendly forum.

Just my 2 cents about this.
I see your 2-cents and I raise you 2-cents! That section is impossible to navigate. Finding a legitimate seller is nearly impossible and almost every thread in that section is breaking the rules. I don't know if Jr + would actually solve the problem, but it would be a step in the right direction. Limiting which users can access which sections further is disheartening, but at a certain point it is just necessary. I used to thoroughly enjoy that section, for all of the cool accounts/invites that were offered; these days it's just hacked forum accounts, paypals, etc. There's been an update to the rules of that section Accounts on sites that require KYC such as bank accounts, PayPal, etc. are assumed to be hacked unless you explain why they're not hacked. With any luck that will be the precursor to additional moderation within that section, breathe some life back into it. Make it a dollar. This guy has a good solution from.the problem and barely support to.it. Imagine that there will be no newbie selling fake accounts or.even scamming users that has the interest in buying high rank accounts. Probably there will be no scamming will going to happe. or it will reduce to minimal. Good thing that OP has given his/her two cents. Nice approach of OP in solving the problem but the thing is that it needs to go for an approval for the admin before they will start doing their job and for the update. |

Here is my begginers question regarding on ban appeals and how could it be avoided on having a hardwork banning plagiarist users.
A lot of things has changed the forum lately. Most users are now careful on getting ban having the proof that many users are doing ban appeals in this section.
If only it could reach to other section as well notifying this problem and consequencies then there could be a high chance that the forum.will do well in cryprocutrency discussions.
Is there any a chance that admin can spam a warning message to all the users to keep them aware at once on the plagiarism and getting ban problem?

PLAGIARISM is the most reason on every ban appeals in this section. I just wonder what is the core reason why a user has been ban. If it is because of signature then I guess a bounty mamager should do the job to correct the wrong doings.
Then Bounty Managers will then accept a project that could let bounty hunters earn not getting scam by the team develop the fake project. The process of accepting ICO projects will then be difficult and it will minimize the number of ICO projects promoted in the altcoin bounties section. So the lesser number of ICO projects then the lesser chance of a bounty hunter getting scam.and get the opportunity to do the work not plagiarizing posts of.other users.

It will be a hard time for the admin to change that section. But it could be done somehow.
I suggest that users should join KYC in certain sections that has a lot of reported problems. Segregate some sections system in that localty and please apply KYC so we can trace track the transactions and everything that happen using tue block chain technology.

This is the new policy that has been considered by the admin. There are quite good users who had been plagiarizing post long time ago and being reported. Now, theymos has considered lifting the accounts ban over a period of time for the user to continue his/her endeavour in joining cryptocurrency.
But, if the ban user is not a good poster then definitely there is no time frame for it for banning because it will be ban pemanently.

It is the previlige of a merit source to give all the smerits to a certain trusted user as theymos has allowed this so there is no reason for you OP to get jealous on the merits being rewarded to a certain user that has credibility to spread the merits.
This why there are merit source applications in the forum and I think it could be good to accept them then limit the merit allocation for every merit source or depending on jlhow ferequent and trusted a merit source could be. So the allocation of merits will still be the same but the number of merit source has to be increased to look for quality posts.

Let me bump this thread. I support more merit source for higher capacity on looking good post to be merited. The more eyes that could see the quality post the higher the chance it will likely to get merit.
But, if the allocation for the merits to all merit source is limited then I suggest to lessen the smerits allocation but spreading it to more merit source to look for a quality post to be merited.
The more merit source the happier it will be.
