1781  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China in military "warning" to Myanmar after bomb kills four farmers on: March 17, 2015, 12:44:01 PM
It's called "China threat theory".

Yes, China does have largest army in the world and the capability is close to the U.S, but China military haven't been involved any wars for decades, and the U.S owns the most advanced weapons which China can't catch up with in decades years. While the U.S military are fighting wars everywhere and everyday.

So, If China goes to war with American, who will win? the answer is obvious.

The Chinese wouldn't go to war with one of their biggest customers Smiley. That would be costly and wouldn't be good for the business. But they can hack the shit out of the US infrastructure and more importantly they can dump their USD and US treasury bond stashes what could cause some serious economic troubles in the States. That certainly wouldn't be pleasant for China itself as well, but as they have lots of production and the rest of the world would still need their stuff they could survive easier than the much more service oriented US economy.

That's not good if friends and families getting together and talking to each other in the open. Decent people sitting at the telly and eating some GMO veggie stuff.
1783  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the European Union Dying? on: March 17, 2015, 10:19:52 AM
Europe is hard to unite, there are too many differences within the different countries, they all think themselves superiour to the other countries, that means friction.

Segregation is part of every country, look at the US where the segregation of african americans is still at hand. It is a tough thing to beat, but it by no means an indication of how the union or states are doing in general.

The big threats are the countries that are at the edge of bankrupty, or are allready pushed over, they might act strange and take the quarels to a whole new level, agressing even into war.

The union is no more than a trade union, they should focus on those aspects and stop trying to unite the people and countries, it will never work out. We like to be part of our own community, it is only natural, it is seggregation, but it is a thing imposed on us by all parties involved, we like to stick together, 'the others' are strange and we do not feel comfortable around them, this is always going both ways.

We Europeans were fighting for centuries to establish and maintain out independent nation states. The last major clash ended only 70 years ago. These old grudges are not something what a bunch of bureaucrats in Brussels can undone in a few decades. Perhaps the muslims as a common enemy will bring us closer to each other like during the heydays of the Ottoman Empire.
1784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If Ayn Rand never existed Bitcoin might actually be bearable. on: March 16, 2015, 05:01:32 PM
I'm flabbergasted by the amount of political extremism associated with Atlas Shrugged here. Some of the things I've been reading here are mind boggling:
Ideas like: People paying for green lights and the "free market" handling traffic.
Opinions like: If you can't pay for a private security service yt ou deserve to die.
Statements like: What have the people in Africa ever done for us?

But let's pretend for a minute Ayn Rand never existed, I think people would have a hard time coming up with such idiocy without that kind of idealistic support.

Rand's objectivism actually describes the most natural human behaviour patterns and instincts, so I think nothing wrong with that. Her followers might concentrate exclusively on the economic aspects of her views and take it to the extremes. Probably that's why you can hear some "mind boggling" ideas. "I'm an objectivist." sounds better than "I'm a sefish greedy pig without moral and ethics." Isn't it?
1785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 15 killed in Taliban attack on Lahore churches, Who did that on: March 16, 2015, 04:44:44 PM
Yes the Church attacks are condemnable..But who is responsible for that Brutal and inhuman activity of beating, killing ,and then burning their bodies without any investigation! Is it not Terrorism??

No it isn't. It's called "street justice" if we want to be PC or lynching if we don't want to be. What do you expect from a bunch of angry ppl who just have lost their beloved ones?

BTW have you noticed that you called the action of your muslim fellas a "condemnable attack" (what killed 15 and injured 70) and the attacks of the enraged victims "a brutal and inhuman terrorist activity of beating, killing and then burning" two (I said two) unfortunate blokes?
1786  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Keep Calm and log on [Putin has returned] on: March 16, 2015, 11:53:39 AM
Putin ith back from the kremlion after playing chess with gogole maps he hath finished positioning hith nukes over strategic areas of the us and the beknighted kingdom.

Unfortunately there is only one putin i wish he ran my country instead of these puppets it is a shame putin ith unique and doth not follow the herd like the rest of them we need more putins if all the world was putin the banks would be forced to fail and rebuilt from the ground up

Then banks would pile up gold bars instead of stuff about more loans from the central bank.

1787  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China in military "warning" to Myanmar after bomb kills four farmers on: March 16, 2015, 11:22:18 AM
This is a joke. The rebels are ethnic Chinese and receive arms and ammunition from China. China is openly backing them.
That's really a joke.
They can't  even defend their own citizens.

That can easily happen around war-zones. E.g. back in '91 a Yugoslavian plane dropped a cluster bomb on a Hungarian village maybe a kilometer away from it's intended target (Croat rebels on the other side of the border/river) because of someone at the flight control overlooked something. At least 1 SAM station was surely tracking the plane but as Yugoslavian planes used to mistakenly enter into the Hungarian air-space the AA command only sent a "routine" warning to the Yugo AA command centre instead of ordering someone to press the "БЛ. ПУСКА" button. Actually for a few minutes nobody realized that the bomb ended on the wrong side of the river.
1788  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the European Union Dying? on: March 16, 2015, 10:38:04 AM
The core of the EU is still working well together and prospering.
Germany, France, Holland, Austria, all are doing pretty well economically and lets not forget that several major wars were fought between these countries not long ago, whereas that seems unthinkable at the moment.

The peripherals might start to leave soon in my opinion. Iceland doesn't want to join anymore, the UK will probably leave and Greece, Portugal and Spain all have enough problems with the Euro that they might leave at some point.
I don't think the EU will die, but I think it might shrink back to it's core, much like the roman empire once did without collapsing

... the Roman empire eventually collapsed after splitting and shrinking. Like Rome the EU also needs more and more expansion just for keeping itself afloat. What we can see now is the struggling because of the lack of expansion.
History repeating itself. This new Rome is now slowly declining and the barbarians are already here both inside and on the borders (waiting for visas).
1789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why This Greek Tragedy Could Mean Global Disaster on: March 15, 2015, 11:57:15 AM
Agreed, there is no economy strong enough to rescue several others. The century old global fiat bubble is eventually going to explode, but...
Somehow the complete meltdown keeps getting delayed:
How much longer can the party last?

You can see the first signs of "decaying" on the peripheries (BRICS pumping gold). I think it's still possible to delay a full scale meltdown until the population and the banks have the means and willingness to keep money circulating and governments can pump more money into the system while keeping the inflation on a manageable level.
1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this bad or good news? on: March 15, 2015, 11:14:13 AM
You can't simply make something new and be sure it will replace the old thing. They are forgetting one important thing: the community.
Just like Dogecoin isn't anything innovative or groundbreaking, but it is supported and on the other hand the "government's innovations" are not.

The community Smiley. I don't want to be a party popper but the BTC community is still negligibly small, and a part of it not in BTC because of whateverism but for grabbing some "internet money" and cash out in fiat asap. (Means: they are not really what I'd call hardcore bitcoin fans). Shortly: the govt not  going to give a shit about the opinion of this community.
1791  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Business Model of new company 21 Inc predicted by Satoshi? on: March 15, 2015, 11:04:46 AM
Generally speaking trusted nodes are good stuff, but implementing such nodes would somewhat compromise the decentralization, and that would be the re-implementation of a trust based payment system. Probably this isn't a big price for wider merchant adoption, especially because of the wast majority of the nodes would remain truly decentralized.
1792  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You think you can't change the world? on: March 15, 2015, 10:54:58 AM
he is a prime example that every single one of us has the power to help and change the world to the better, even if you are unemployed and only have a computer and internet access.

thank you for what you are doing mr eliot higgings

The only reason because of we heard about his "revelations" at all, is the fact that those are in sync with the western agendas regarding Syria and Ukraine Smiley.
1793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Blockchain Voting System on: March 15, 2015, 10:38:34 AM
Blockchain voting systems are already implemented in a couple of altcoins, but those are fully transparent.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most interesting news? on: March 15, 2015, 10:33:45 AM
Digital Assets Holdings LLC led by Blythe Masters on the BTC boat is a quite significant news.
1795  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why This Greek Tragedy Could Mean Global Disaster on: March 14, 2015, 03:31:12 PM
If Germany had paid war Reparations to Greece there would be no debt.

Nazis straight up stole HUGE amounts of money from the national bank of Greece. Other countries received reparations Greece got shitted on.

They want Greece to be in debt in order to steal some of the most beautiful places in the world. Greece is a paradise. Greek food is more than fit for gods, and greek beaches are so beautiful one could explore and have fun there day after day.

I hope climate change makes Greece a desert and kills all those thieves that have landed there with false pretenses and a manufactured debt.

I'm afraid mate this is more like preparation for the climate change. In your country during the late prehistoric and ancient Greek period the weather was mostly hotter than today but because of the see around it was humid as well. The Aegean region was able to support 12 million people during the times of the Byzantine Empire. (estimated population of some other European countries in the same time: France-10m, Germany 6-7m, England and Wales 2-3m). With today's agricultural technologies that would be a much bigger number. If you also calculate with the much lower energy demands too then Greece actually could be a pretty good place when large parts of Europe will turn to an arid or semi-arid wasteland with some underwater cities on the old shoreline. Italy, Spain and Portugal will be next targets I guess.

Good well written survey indeed, with sensible questions.
1797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Billary Clinton - if people vote this bitch in as President they deserve slavery on: March 14, 2015, 12:09:33 AM
There's only one elite. Parties, colours, rhetoric are all just circus for the sheeple from that one elite.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wall Street To Bitcoin: Does It Really Matter? on: March 14, 2015, 12:05:28 AM
In Wall Street's eyes, bitcoin is just another asset that they can make bubbles upon and earn lots of fiat

Just like we doing all the time Smiley. I can't blame for that.
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you call it the block chain or blockchain on: March 13, 2015, 11:32:26 PM
"blockchain" is good enough me too.
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin? on: March 13, 2015, 11:29:44 PM
All the Gox'ing, Stamp'ing, Mycoin'ing, Neo and Bees, and continuous scams will prevent Bitcoin from maturing and taking off if only the 200,000 or so Bitcoin users in the world use it.  Need to add a few a more decimals to that figure, and only way to do that is to provide protection.

Sure. In the fiat world we never ever seen any scams... bankers, brokers and politicians are all honest blokes. Do you guys really this naive?
