1021  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Refugee crisis: Germany creaks under strain of open door policy on: October 13, 2015, 08:22:34 AM
Not surprising when Germany is shouldering the burden almost on her own. It's a pity other countries have not followed her example.

Perhaps other countries are still have an active self preservation instinct Smiley. Under the supervision of the left and liberals most of those poor kraut fellas were brainwashed from hardcore berserkers to sheepish lotus eaters in the last 70 years, so I'm not surprised.
1022  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AMERICA PRESIDENT WHO YOU PREFER? on: October 12, 2015, 12:51:07 PM
After so many years could you guys elect someone who isn't the doormat of some banksters and big corporations? You know, just for the change... Those retards in the last 10-15 years were a really dismal bunch. BTW if you want to keep mocking the position of the POTUS, then I'd suggest Hulk Hogan for president Wink
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have we lost our way ? on: October 12, 2015, 12:09:02 PM
I'm afraid 10000 nicks here will be only a few hundred real people in the outside world Smiley. Are you sure that will be enough for making the "big leap"? Also I can hardly imagine that fanboys going to giving up their precious bags and join something else. Anyway some sort of coherent effort for a widely accepted coin or group of coins would be something good to see.
1024  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China asks world to impose 'code of conduct' on Internet on: October 12, 2015, 11:25:45 AM
I'm not saying that the U.S. Doesn't play part of shady activity on the Internet as well, all I'm saying is how can the Chinese actually be trying to play the innocent card, when everyone knows that they are apart of the problem they are trying to "solve".

Actually the US don't want to censor or limit freedom of speech on the Internet. They want to monitor it. ...and then "censor and limit" individuals or groups of individuals who looks dangerous for them. Limiting the platform instead of limiting some users make no sense. The more free talks and the deeper belief of "free internet" will yield the more information and more detailed results for them.
1025  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wrong terrorists under attack in Syria. on: October 12, 2015, 11:18:40 AM
I think it's not easy to find what group was targeted. A few things are clear: If the western media barking, then the Russians hit the "moderate" terrorists, when the turks moaning then they hit some ISIS terrorists, and when the imams yowling in the arab states that's indistinct, but most likely means Al-Qa'ida terrorists.

%60 of Turks hate ISIS, %40 support them. This %40 also support government, but other %60 hate it.

The turkish government silently supported/supporting them, as ISIS is an excellent tool for crippling Syria, block an Iran-North Iraq (kurds)-Syria pipeline, leaving their own pipelin network uncontested. In addition ISIS can keep the kurds busy as well. I'm just curious, what will happen when ISIS members and supporters start thinking that the turkish government is too secular and too west-friendly for their taste...

1027  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do building tell about a city? on: October 08, 2015, 01:51:29 PM
So what are your favorite building in the world?

mine:

draw : Burj Khalifa and Shanghai Tower

and...

For example I prefer countryside cottages in England or Wales Smiley.
Something like this: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/x/old-english-cottage-river-10497941.jpg

Am I technologically impaired Smiley?
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many altcoins? on: October 08, 2015, 01:32:41 PM
What's the deal?
Do people really use them? Or is it just for speculation and trading?

Because of lot's of people want to get your money. As there are no point (and even less profit) in pointing you to coins made, controlled and manipulated by someone else, these guys all made their own stuff for every possible market segments what they could imagine. Actually there were/are a few guys around with honest intentions and good ideas but they are a very small minority. So the deal is luring you into a good looking but in reality worthless "investment" and then run away with your money, then rinse and repeat with a different name and coin.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Q&A on: October 08, 2015, 01:15:34 PM
I got some questions for Ripple:

Why can't  I mine it?
Why can't I create a cold wallet?
Why is XRP listed on coinmarketcap if it is not a public crypto?
Is there a website that lists and compares only cryptocurrency that can be mined by the public?

Because of it's all premined. But you can buy it. (Actually what's the difference between buying a miner plus buying electricity then getting coins and buying and getting coins Smiley? Cloud mining is even more similar. Almost identical Cheesy.)
Google is your friend. You can create a cold wallet: https://forum.ripple.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8733
Because of it's a publicly available and as such it's a "public crypto".
As coinpr0n said try using the filters on coinmarketcap.
1030  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: October 08, 2015, 12:42:57 PM
And you know that how? They don't print that info on cans.
You'd have to get it straight from a fisherman to be sure.

In almost every bigger shops or chains you can buy "wild-caught fish". If you have a good and trustworthy fishmonger then you will also have the option to get real fish. Of course in both cases you have to pay a premium price Smiley.
1031  Other / Politics & Society / Re: is it worth to save the dollar? on: October 08, 2015, 12:35:01 PM
I hate to say, but if the dollar goes down it will drag all of us with itself, and we'll see an economic/social/cultural collapse what we haven't seen since 476 (the fall of the Western Roman Empire). Probably this "new dark are" wouldn't last so long as the early medieval one as we have the BRICS to save the world Smiley.
1032  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: October 08, 2015, 12:26:11 PM
I eat just fish cause fishes can live their lives freely in the sea and they're just killed once when we need to eat them, without all the caged life that a chicken or a similar animal need to do in a modern food industry.

If you are not living next to a fishing port, and used to shop from the local fishmonger then probably most of your fish, and other swimming/crawling see-stuff came from an industrial fish farm, where they using quite similar methods like in a "chicken factory".
1033  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Are Your Thoughts On Vegans? Or Going Vegan ? on: October 08, 2015, 12:20:20 PM
Nothing wrong with vegan food as a side-dish for a nice chunk of meat Smiley. A bit more seriously, we are designed to be omnivores. That "omni" thingy includes meat and fat as well. BTW the first and last fully vegan humanoids, the Paranthropus robustus chewed nuts, roots and bulbs and got extinct eventually, while their scavenging cousins the Australopithecus africanus happily turned to our progenitors.

I've seen this chart below been passed around vegan circles saying that we aren't omnivores, any thoughts on the chart since you seem to know some stuff on the matter:

That diagram is a bit funny. Bears and rats are both considered (according to their natural diet) as omnivores, however their teeth couldn't be more different. According to what we know about our ancestors diet, most hominids never been clearly herbi- or frugivores. Even our most closely related "relatives" the chimps are hunting for other primates. (BTW gorillas and orangutans are not meat eaters but they are eating considerable amounts of insects and eggs, so they are also consuming animal proteins.)
Actually the best argument against veganism is the B12 vitamin. Vitamin B12 is an absolutely essential thing, to keep our machine ticking. There are plenty of B12 in meat, but scarce in plants therefore vegans need vitamin supplements. Same thing applies to iron, iodine, zinc, calcium, vitamin D, Omega fatty acids, and so on. So, if being vegan is so natural, fine and dandy and we don't need no stinkin' meat then why they have to take artificial stuff like vitamin and mineral pills?
I think this chart is BS, and the author(s) cherry picked a few things to support their claims, but ignored a lot more what doesn't fit to their views.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about the negative reputation of the bitcoin currency? on: October 07, 2015, 03:54:36 PM
I don't care about the reputation of my money. The only question is "Can I use it for something useful or not?" (Please note that I consider "gambling" on altcoin exchanges as something useful Smiley.) BTW talking about reputation in the case of money seems to me a bit of stupid thing Smiley.
1035  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nearly half of Americans have no savings on: October 07, 2015, 03:51:55 PM
With the current inflation together with the rock bottom interest rates makes storing money on an ordinary savings account a stupid move. Why anyone would take like taking losses. So I'm not surprised. In addition the recent global economic difficulties wiped out a lot of savings in the last couple of years.
1036  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 12 Christians Brutally Executed By ISIS Because They Refused To Renounce Christ on: October 06, 2015, 11:30:51 AM
Perhaps Rome should call the Knights Templars and the Knights Hospitallers back, as those smoky pagan bastards getting annoying again :/. Unfortunately the Vatican is now the home of a bunch of liberal scum who are more interested in money and young boys bottoms then in the faith, so they will more likely lick some more imams asses then stand up for Christians.
RIP for the victims.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What real world use feature you want to see in a wallet? ____________? on: October 06, 2015, 09:20:58 AM
A link to a bakery, grocery or a brewery maybe to a pub in my home town what accepts the given coin Smiley. I think something like this is the ultimate and most needed "real word use feature". I know acceptance not something what any devs could "code" but without that all efforts are futile.

1039  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sino-Russia veto on Syria did destroy the concept of International comunity on: October 05, 2015, 11:36:56 AM
Yes, but russian like to re-write the story ... and like to have a "selective memory" ....

Who sell the weapons used by Assaad ... ? Russia ...
Who want to keep his military occupation in Syria ? Russia
Who blocked since the start to move of Assaad with a real democratic vote and getting a real opposant speak ? Russia ...

... and why not putting the mess in Middle East -> War there ... => Oil will get price up ...

But of course Russia want the peace ...  Russia, which considers that the situation in Syria "does not constitute a threat to international peace and security." ... why now and not before Huh?

Please don't be naive. All mayor powers have selective memory. Do you really need examples about what sort of things our western "leaders" used to forget when their interests dictating "forgetfulness" Smiley? You know if Russia would open up it's oil fields to US/western players and Putin would ask the three Baltic states and Ukraine in exchange, I can assure you the only question in that negotiation would be the packaging (a silver plate or a cardboard box would be enough).

BTW ask your three questions above again but replace Syria and Assad with Israel, or with Iraq and Saddam over the 80's and answer it Smiley. As Lord Palmerston very neatly said “Great Britain has no friends, only interests." This is true for every great power and I think this is the only everlasting rule in politics.
1040  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Chinese warplanes to join Russia in Syria on: October 05, 2015, 10:47:39 AM
China want to balance the NATO and defend its interests across the world. In the last decade they started building up the means of power projection and now they want to show their new stuff. In addition they have lots of investments and interests over there. Since the NATO destroyed Iraq and Libya, apart from Iran, Syria is the last remaining Russian-Chinese stronghold in the Middle-East. Of course they are not going to give it up without a fight.
