181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: April 21, 2024, 11:40:21 PM

You're absolutely right about the importance of parental education in guiding children through life's challenges. It's essential to remember that while any addiction can be harmful, gambling itself is intended to be a source of pleasure and entertainment. By fostering a healthy understanding and approach to gambling as to all leisure activities parents can help their children enjoy these activities responsibly and safely.

You need to understand that when they are with their friends, you can no longer see what they're doing unless you have advised them not to do so because that's the important aspect of parenting when you give them important advice. When they are with those who gamble, they also become gamblers no matter how long it takes when they are with those people. Even when playing sports games like how we used to play basketball, they should not engage in betting if you don't want them to get used to it because that's when the problem starts. After all, it opens their craving for other betting games as well.
182  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Naranasan Nyo Na Ba Na Masisi Dahil Sa Cryptocurrency on: April 21, 2024, 12:27:45 PM
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is celebrating about the fourth halving but what is this? on: April 21, 2024, 11:25:24 AM
This is expected as soon as bitcoin halving comes because the huge numbers of investors will buy bitcoins at once and more of them are still buying it even though the amount of transaction fees are overwhelming. That's why when a bull run comes, the network becomes congested and you need to understand it as well, therefore, people are not only buying in dip they are also taking advantage of small transaction fees while the storm is yet to come because if this gonna happen, then small traders are hurt with this and also those who also want to cash out their small amount of bitcoins cannot do the process while the fees are higher than they expected.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 21, 2024, 10:52:52 AM

Until now the Lakers still can't manage to beat the Nuggets. Starting from the last playoffs where they got swept, and in the regular season as well, and now it's starting to look bad for them as we might witness another embarassing playoffs for them. Lebron isn't gonna like that, he'll probably make a decision after the playoffs when they are not gonna play a competitive series with the Nuggets.

That's just an obvious scenario when these two teams face each other since the Nuggets are full of young talents and the Lakers are full of ready to retired players, they are the heavy underdog against the Nuggets and just to win a single game in this series, is a miracle for them based on what kind of play they have shown last night. Let's just see if they can still manage to adjust to counter the Nuggets but that seems not possible given the current limitations of their superstars against this heavyweight team.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying more of the Dip on: April 21, 2024, 10:11:06 AM
Since they have a rich president and well prosperous nation nowadays because of their successful war against gangs and drugs, they can easily do that and they are doing the right thing since they can actually manage to fund other important things in their country while at the same time, they buy some more bitcoins in the dip. They can afford to lose it all and they also believe that they gonna make a huge amount of money once bitcoins reach its maximum price or it reaches another amazing breaking-record ATH this halving season.
186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 21, 2024, 09:55:57 AM

Ryan Garcia now has all the right to boost and talk whatever he wants. he just beat a fighter most of us thought it's impossible for him to handle, but he has power in this weight and I think he could dominate again. Haney might ask for a rematch, it's up to him but I'm sure he would not be able to handle the power of Ryan, just like Kambosos unable to handle the speed of Haney during their rematch.

He just defeated an undefeated boxing superstar Devin Haney and that is a major comeback for him now that he really can defeat such high caliber fighter, his next fight will even be bigger than this one and I hope he won't gonna overdue his celebrations where he gonna forgot to train harder for the next one because that's how the champions should be, remain focus not only in the time distraction but in the time of prosperity. overall, congratulations to him on winning this fight, such is the fight we really want to see from him.
187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can people still get the addictive nature through friendly games on: April 20, 2024, 11:57:59 PM
We have this kind of norm in our community but only if we play basketball and the bet is only cold water, whoever loses the game, buys cold water for the winner and they can choose to buy for themselves as well but after some time, people start arguing and they exchanging bad words just before the end of the game especially when the score is close because sometimes the other team doesn't have money to bet and they use all their tricks in order not to lose but when they lose, that's when the problem started because the basketball court will become a UFC cage and it goes like that for some times until they decide not to do it again because it doesn't really make them enjoy the game anymore as friendly games instead they compete as it is a national tournament.  Grin Grin Cheesy
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 20, 2024, 11:28:53 PM

Congratulations to us all for witnessing this season's halving,  there is indeed hope for us all who have been patient. There's more good news coming!

Congratulations too, we are part of this big history and will be part of it in the future as well, I hope everything will be good for bitcoins at that time and the dream of seeing bitcoins enter every store in the world will be fulfilled. Now that the halving is done, the next thing that everyone is waiting for is another historical probability which is the bull run after it. Let's hope that it will happen these upcoming days or months and hope for another ATH as well.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Focus on knowledge, build up belief, then investment plan, success will come. on: April 19, 2024, 01:04:20 PM
Our own success will definitely come if we are not to eager to see it coming at the inappropriate time, but before that, we need to build confidence in ourself, this has to do with what we already knows, achieved, and are interested in learning more from, after having this believing kind of mindset, while the next bold step expected of us is to choose an investment plan we desire to make us of, and after all this were meant, then followed success.

That's why patience and perseverance are a must for Bitcoin investors because it is not like any other investment in other industries because of its volatility and constant changes of its prices from higher to lower and mostly we all know, it's going low until bull runs after bitcoin halvings. other people cannot seem to understand that because they are not used to it and they just like to get profit quickly which not gonna come as easy as they think rather it takes time and some other occurrence like halvings and positive stuff in the crypto industry and to wait for that requires a great amount of patience because you only not dealing with those scenarios, you also need to deal with negativity surrounding it caused by hostile groups against Bitcoin.
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 19, 2024, 12:08:05 PM

Bob Arum is an experienced person and he is promoter who has created many great fights and has brought several fighters to extraordinary success.
But regarding this fight which will take place in Japan, there is really nothing to worry about because right now sales in this event have reached $20 million and this fight is not only about being able to put the championship belt on the line but also to produce money.

Changes such as this one have been occurring for the past few years because other nations are also prospering and right now as we can see, they can promote such high-quality fights in their country and not only there, as of now, we often see some major fights happening in the middle-east as well which wasn't the case before. So as long as they can sell the fights, they don't really care in which country it is as long they secure the safety of the boxers and their earnings. Money can really change almost anything and this scenario is one of the examples we are seeing right now. Pacquiao was a nobody before he came out to the US and everything changed positively for him after that and that was not the case for Inoue right now.
191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Jontay Porter receives lifetime ban from NBA for violating gambling rules" on: April 19, 2024, 11:27:33 AM
The restriction will definitely affect his well being, like wtf a lifetime ban for violating rules and not just common rules but real and standard rules, the act carried out by Jontay is cheating from my opinion, what was his impression aside the profit involve cause this is strange. Sometimes people should avoid making expensive mistake that can ruin their career or business within seconds.  Everything with an advantage must have a disavantage and consequences but he would have thought twice before making negative decisions just for gain. Lessons learnt and I'm sure people will learn from his mistakes as well

This will be a lesson for players who want to be involved in this kind of foolish act and they need to think twice about which career they want because when going to the NBA, they need to follow the rules and avoid anything that can ruin their career. If they want anything else, then at first they really need to consider quitting their profession so that they can give room to others that are willing to play for the team and want to inspire others with their games, not those who want to cheat and make their way to the top.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoin games in exchanges on: April 19, 2024, 10:46:30 AM
Of course, there are some shitcoins listed in exchanges because they need to be listed there so that they will be able to fool their victims but most of the trusted exchanges have some major issues against shitcoins and they cannot just simply list their coins there. they need to undergo lots of steps and they also need to fulfill requirements so that they are clean and investors won't have any doubt when they want to buy those altcoins but when they are not active anymore and they find out something fishy with any altcoins they listed, they quickly remove it and warn their users against it.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Short-term holders now have about ~1.8M BTC on: April 18, 2024, 05:12:28 PM
Yeah short term holders are generally not a good way to measure the demand for bitcoin. The best way is to look at the long term holders and as prices goes up, are they selling.

Usually you will see that during every ATH and during some massive dips, there are long term holders selling. This can give you a clue as when to start taking profit or not.

At the end of the day, long-term investment in bitcoins is the best way and is recommended for everyone because you don't need to stress yourself about it once you decide to buy bitcoins using the money you can afford to lose because sometimes the crypto market might not get increase as shown in the picture. After all, the volatility is mostly happening, and the price drops due to some decline in the crypto market. But if you are a long-term investor, all of that scenario is nothing to you and you just completely ignore it because you know sometimes that something like this will happen before the big bull-runs in the future.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: April 18, 2024, 04:50:42 PM

Ryan's mental health has already gotten worse since the time he tried exposing Hollywood stuff. Although there may be celebrities and fans supporting him. He just looks more derailed. But why boycott?

Now that there are death threats, I actually think the fight will be more brutal, and I would hope there is no early KO because it will just be disappointing.

After all the controversy he exposed, he was just facing a decline dramatically that's because the fans didn't want to support him on whatever he said during his life, I don't know why but he just said some good things right there and he just wants to raise awareness though. I think he wanted to become Muhammad Ali and he is not only a champion but someone that has charisma that people want to listen to as well. After all, he is a boxer, and whatever he wants to be, he needs to establish virtues and merits in boxing first so that he will gain more popularity despite all the hate he gets right now.
195  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Israeli Army standup against Iranian Military on: April 18, 2024, 04:25:20 PM
I don't think both of them will declare war against each other because they are just doing fake things, Yes! they are just faking everything and if not because of Iran, Israel wouldn't have attacked Gaza, they just need to have an act of so-called justice revenge that's why they permitted to attack first and they already planned how they will take revenge against the civilians and since the world is not giving Israel sympathy they want, they intend to create another fuss again which for the second time won't be enough to justify what they have done in Gaza. With all of this drama, I hope all the innocent people won't fall victim anymore and hope that they can live their lives to the fullest as well.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 18, 2024, 03:53:05 PM
That is absolutely an advantage for the Kings. It increases their chances of winning. However, as you mentioned, games are unpredictable. There are games where teams with superstars less still manage to win against those with their superstars playing. I feel bad for Zion; he worked hard this season and made it to the 7th seed, but now his chances of playing in the playoffs have become slim again. Just when he is needed the most, here comes an injury.

He doesn't need to worry about it because he is still young and has lots of improvement to have in the future, too bad that the expectations for him back when he was a rookie was too much and it affected him clearly because in every game at that time, he should do some crazy dunks and clutch because that's what he was in college when he was playing in Duke, he didn't take it slowly as Wemby does nowadays, so the risk was high and he took lots of damage because of that and need to undergo multiple sidelines due to his injuries. That's why people making fun of him to be the next Greg Oden because they have similarities in terms of their careers.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: April 17, 2024, 11:44:24 PM

This data shows that most of the scams, pump and dump projects are mostly coming into the market during the bull run period. It is also worth knowing that one should be on the watch out during bull run to avoid investing in such projects that won’t last and make you invest heavily in them and lose all of your money in short term. The bull run period we are heading into is a very delicate period in the crypto world where a lot of new projects are lunch to target newbies and investors who are willing to make quick profits by taking risks that are not calculated. It is important to be wary of that and take necessary precautions before investing in any project at bull run season.
[/quote]

As long as they getting decent money from their evil activities in the crypto industry, they won't cease to find new ways to fool new investors and when they find out that a new trend is ongoing, they quickly manage to create their own so it will be hard for us to know which new coins are good to invest our money with because mostly like 45 out of 50 are scam projects and only 5 that will gonna survive and will also facing harsh conditions since they will deal with tight competitors and continues development to make their project prosper and only 1 of them survive to the crypto market if they got lucky, this is based only on my personal experience the rest might have lower rates compared to me.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be looking only at the brighter side on: April 17, 2024, 11:00:39 PM

If you are a long-term holder, there will be no problem, because you will really just wait for the right time if you want to sell it in the market so that you can take out the profit.
This is what happens; you don't really care if the news happening in the market is negative.

As long as what is important to you as long-term investors is that it can give us profit in the future, we are positive that what we expect from the coin we hold will happen.

Long-term investors have less stress and don't need to worry about the news every day since he just simply put their bitcoins aside and securely and continue with their daily activities also this comes up with conditions as always, one should invest what they can afford to lose because you don't get rich overnight with bitcoins unless you are the current luckiest guy on earth. Long-term bitcoin investment usually takes years to prosper and you can decide to convert it to fiat once you see the price has reached your preferred amount.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 17, 2024, 04:53:24 PM

Even though this fight will not be as we imagine, namely this fight will not be as serious as the fights shown by other boxers, you could say this is a very good moment because Jake Paul will try to fight Mike Tyson, a world boxer. legendary boxer. Even though Jake Paul is still relatively young, of course he is currently training hard to fight and defeat world boxer Mike Tyson and of course Mike Tyson also needs to be careful so that he is no longer young and his stamina is definitely less than before. .

Their promotions alone are giving them much more attention than they really need because even though the fight is too far, they have appeared in different shows to promote this fight. I wonder how will it end up because for me this fight is no longer needed since Mike is too old for Jake Paul, they might already plan some moves in order not to hurt each other in their exhibition fight because there's no way that they are going all out with this one because one of them might get seriously hurt especially Tyson since he already feeling some decline on his health.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 17, 2024, 04:23:53 PM
Well, they are not really making any changes for bitcoins and the evidence for that is the price of bitcoins itself because it hasn't been overcome by any other cryptocurrencies available right now and it has remained on the top for more than a decade and continuously dominant others due to the fact of its being decentralized and also its popularity among the crypto enthusiast and the crypto investors. The only problem here is the shitcoins that have nothing to do with bitcoins because they were just created for fooling newbies and taking away their money from them in the name of new altcoins investment opportunities, if we could only get rid of those, surely altcoins will be more a push-forward thing for bitcoins today.
