341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Safe is MetaMask? on: February 05, 2024, 08:27:03 AM
It has always been advised not to hold your assets in exchanges. it is a very risky venture to do so.
As for metamask, I have been using it for years and I have had no security isssues using them. I speak for myself though, someone might have a contrary opinion.

Same for me because I have been using it and sent and received huge amounts of ETH already from it and there were no problems encountered by me but that does not mean that others have the same experience as well because most users' recommendations are not these kinds of wallet rather a hard wallet that only you who have the full authority to control it. Let's just say if you don't have any alternatives or you have not bought any hard wallet yet, you can always use it just like others using Electrum for their alternative Bitcoin wallets since they don't have enough budget to buy hard wallets yet.
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: February 04, 2024, 11:42:02 PM
The platform itself won't scam you but when you are doing p2p trades there is some risk that that you might get scammed if you are receiving a payment which can be charged back. If you don't use escrow you can be scammed also. This happened to me once when I was using a new p2p exchange where I wasn't familiar how it worked and mistakenly sent a payment before the other user's funds were in escrow. I got scammed but it wasn't a major loss. You should start out with smaller trades when you are just beginning.

Even in the popular exchanges that have some of these P2P features, scammers are wreaking havoc and I've nearly become a victim of their scam because of how their fraud works. they sent me a screenshot which an evidence that they already sent the fiat that I was asking for, the amount was correct and they nagged me to send the BTC to them but when I watched closely, the account number wasn't mine, and when I realized I was talking to a scammer and he nearly got me with his old trick. so you just better not to lower your guard with these guys because anytime they could betray you.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 04, 2024, 11:08:09 PM
=

Bulls won't get anywhere close to what they are looking to get from him.  With him being hurt who is going to trade a better player for someone who might end up being shut down for the rest of the season.  The report says 6 or so weeks but you never know with these types of things how his body will respond.  His value went down significantly with that injury.

Just like the others who were exploding and close to making their team a great contender in the league but then injuries got them and their skills and value has crashed dramatically because of it. now they no longer have any plan for him in terms of their progress in the team rather they are interested in trading him now. Man, they were unstoppable a few years back with DeRozan and Lonzo Ball, but because of their consistent injuries, their team didn't even make it to the semi-finals.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 02, 2024, 12:34:18 PM
That was an impressive win by Lakers without Bron and AD. Austin Reaves led his team one more time. Brown and Tatum were cold, Celtics played awful as a team and they have the right to play like that sometimes. This is a regular season game after all. Betting conspiracy theorists are already writing about this match though. Grin

That's why they kept this guy because this kind of confidence and dedication with basketball skills like that, can make him the next Lakers cover if he can win more games without those star players. And we are talking about a big-time team they just beat last night, the one that has the potential to be crowned the NBA champion this season but when Reaves exerted all necessary efforts to win the game, he could do it and the fans didn't expect this to happen but as we witnessed earlier, everything is possible inside the court with this guy around.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Updates policy allowing bitcoin and crypto assets trust to be advertised. on: February 02, 2024, 11:47:54 AM
Google giving the green light to advertise crypto stuff, including Bitcoin, is pretty cool. It means more projects can reach a bigger audience. And with Bitcoin ETFs getting the nod, it might bring in more traditional investors, making the whole crypto scene even more interesting. Exciting times ahead more opportunities with bitcoin

It's another big huge step forward for the crypto community because this kind of exposure with Google is something that we really need this time and it will shut all hostile groups on spreading bad rumors against Bitcoin because it is now partnered with strong and decent companies such as Google. Now we are going to have more on the boat because Google ads are everywhere and no one could deny its popularity. This timing is nice since we are in the Halving season and it can create a good atmosphere for the investors and they might gonna buy more bitcoins just because of it.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 01, 2024, 01:11:37 PM
Similarly, with the Bucks, adjusting to a new coach can indeed impact both the team's defense and overall performance. Two games might not be sufficient to assess Doc Rivers' impact accurately. Patience is key, and giving them around 10 games to find their rhythm seems like a fair approach. As fans, it's important to allow the team the space and time needed to adapt to changes, and then make a more informed judgment on how the acquisition of a new coach has influenced their performance. Let's hope for positive progress in the upcoming games.

They just need to win their next game and I'm sure they can do it since they are a strong team in the East they can easily win against the Dallas Mavericks if they can easily stop their scorers but obviously that's exactly what they are lacking because most players in the NBA today can score after Curry's prime era, they practiced to shoot from afar and can just score without any proper defense. What the Bucks need to do is to fix their adjustment on their defense since they don't have Jrue Holiday anymore, they can acquire some free agent to fill that position and talk to him that his job is only to strengthen the defense. that's one of their ways to prevent some losing streak because it is not fit for them to have that record while they have some best players on their team.
347  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is skill key to success! on: February 01, 2024, 12:33:02 PM
I say is not always skills but rather knowledge that benefits because this is the reason why people don't hit any dead end because they know exactly what they are doing based on what they have learned from others and also have read from different stories. while skills will not gonna make you successful forever because it has an expiration and most of the time, you are replaceable by someone more skillful than you. But when you have proper knowledge on how to be successful, your job doesn't matter to you as long as you are living the way you want by having the peaceful life that others are dreaming of while they are a millionaire because of their skills.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Different wallets for each buying origin? on: February 01, 2024, 12:05:34 PM
Agree with post above that there is not much need to have separate wallet for each KYC exchange that you use. Though, it may helpful for account purposes and tracking of your coins, rather than mixing everything in one place.
Having separate wallet for non KYC exchanges isn't bad idea, but I think it's not must have thing for everyone. Personally, I have my BTC in several different wallets, but KYC/non-KYC isn't one of reasons why I do.

I think it's just best to mix them if you don't have much time to diversify them into other wallets but if you can easily do so, then it's preferable because it has lots of advantages and you can secure it more. One of the advantages is you can simply use one wallet for your main transaction on exchanges and others are for mere storage and there are many more usable that you can choose from. You just need to have some good memories because to separate your wallets you need to remember them well and not forget some important details on where you put them or you will gonna lose them forever just like what happened to others when doing it and they can't remember it anymore.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: February 01, 2024, 11:27:04 AM

It's true that when we start to get out of control, it's a good idea to take a break from the world of gambling for a long time, this will stop addictive activities for a while. And we also don't have to assume that people who gamble are addicted because some gamblers are responsible be responsible in carrying out his activities so that he does not worry that there will be problems for him due to his gambling.

If it goes wrong like you cannot distinguish right from wrong after getting addicted to gambling or drugs and others, this is when the problem starts because this will be hard to cure and the healing process is completed because there are lots of procedures to get back to your old self. you need to have lots of adjustments and one of them is to migrate to other places that don't have any of these problems and no people out there can influence you back to your old habits. that's why if you don't have such capability, just stick to the rules of prevention is better than cure.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: February 01, 2024, 11:05:49 AM
He is an example of a father who could bear to leave two 2-year-old children alone at home. Moreover, he left them for 5 hours just to gamble. He couldn't imagine what would happen to his children and still prioritized gambling. He must be punished for his actions so that he knows it was his fault and does not do the same thing. Maybe he was addicted to gambling so he was too busy gambling for a long time. Hopefully, there will be no sad stories like that, and even if someone often gambles, he also has to think about his children if he wants to leave his house. He had to make sure her children were safe and that someone was looking after them while he was gone.

This should be shared especially with the community like this, whether it is online or offline games, the children should be their priorities especially when they are that young and not capable of being left alone. Imagine, what if someone has infiltrated the house, and there are already lots of incidence like that happened in the past more likely the children are killed or raped because no one in his right mind will enter a home without any evil purposes, and when they see that no one around except for a baby, they will gonna do everything that we cannot even imagine to ourselves just because their parents are absent.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that are good for long hodling in this season. on: February 01, 2024, 10:27:54 AM
Investors must always be updated that's why as an investor we need to develop the habit of research and wanting to know the marketcap always, when dealing with crypto they're some certain inform an investor should never miss.

Apart from having traditional sources of coins that are about to be released, we have plenty of sources where we find some good coins before they are even exposed to huge numbers of investors and that's the best thing about having proper knowledge about researching in which altcoins you are investing. So that you can avoid falling into the trap of scammers who are creating coins for scams and attracting investors just to steal their money from them. That's why if you are not ready for investing in some new emerging altcoins, just stick to the top altcoins which you preferred after reading their roadmaps.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 31, 2024, 03:20:50 AM
Surely this year there are lots of Ponzi Scheme and a deceitful scammers will reck havoc in the crypto industry and their strategies and scripts are updated as well, so we need to armor ourselves with knowledge so that we can keep out from them as far as we could. Others also can simply ignore them so that they can no longer execute their script on you because you never know, they might have something prepared on you without you knowing it is a pure scam and you took their bait and fell to their trap just like what happened to others because of their stubbornness.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 31, 2024, 02:57:28 AM

Fury can definitely get knocked down, we've already seen it a few times. But he'd always just spring back up and win a fight. He also had some controversial wins, like the first one against Wilder that you mentioned or his last one against Ngannou. But he has a perfect personality for this profession. He truly believes that he's meant to be the undisputed champion, which gives him extra powers.
As for Usyk, his technique is second to none, but the size disadvantage will be the major factor here. You don't need to be an expert to know that Fury's main tactic will be throwing a LOT of jabs to keep Usyk at a safe distance.

Usyk should be prepared well when it comes to this fight because Fury is never was a fighter he fought in the past, he should prepare for a mental fight with his preparedness of some skills to get out from that simultaneous hugs from Fury that could potentially make him tired easily because if he don't he will be tired and eventually fall to his ground due to being exhausted and can't seem find a way to beat Fury.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: January 31, 2024, 02:31:23 AM
Any coins that are boosting the crypto market and make it more popular to others, is good and welcome as long as they are true to their investors and making effort to keep their promised and what they have told people in their roadmap. Because if they only make meme coin to confuse the investors and quietly stole their money, they are just like others who will gonna ruin the crypto market. That's everyone should be aware of this kind of fraud so that they can prevent themselves from investing not only in the meme coins but in the other altcoins as well.
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: January 30, 2024, 07:18:51 PM
My plan is still the same just like what I have done back then and since it ends in a good way, I made a decision to make my investment as the same as possible because I'm not a risk-taker and I can't recover easily from a big loss if something unexpected will happened. So I'll stick with my traditional plan in this halving season and if I lose, I won't suffer as much as the other big investors. I recommend to give other method of investment a try if you have enough money to invest because this time has a huge potential to increase at another ATH.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? on: January 30, 2024, 03:33:56 PM
]
No, it is important to remember that dealing with gaming problems is a unique and individual process for each person, irrespective of how normal or uncommon they are. Putting limits on your gambling, getting help from family or friends, joining a support group, and doing other things you enjoy could all help. If those don't work, you could see a counselor or therapist who specializes in game addiction. Create your plan for healthily playing video games, thinking about how it might affect your health, happiness, and relationships.

That's exactly what you need to do when you already tried all cause to change your life for good and other's tips are also not working for you. It makes it more hard when you don't want to pursue the expert way and ask them for help because that might your last resort to change your life. Others has been healed well when they make that right decision, and continue to live their life to the fullest by not getting back to their old bad habits.
357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Did you like this forum on: January 30, 2024, 03:10:58 PM
I have learned a lot here especially when it comes to making my wallet secured and protected as much as possible because they share lots of tips here and they really gives the newbies some productive knowledge so that they can share them as well for whoever people they like to share their idea to prevent them from scammers and hackers. As for me, I have helped many people to turn away from Ponzi Schemes because back then, there are lots of fake investment platform has been wrecking havoc in our country and they scam lots of people as well.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 30, 2024, 02:46:30 PM

I can't imagine anyone wanting out for Charlotte.  They are continually a terrible franchise and can't seem to figure out.  Not that I'm for guys front running but why would you want the other side of your career be with a team that can't stay out of the lottery.  That's gotta be a lie.

It seems like that's the same reason for Michael Jordan to give up and no matter what he did with that team, it didn't get to taste An NBA final game just for one time. It's just like a curse and no players at their right mind want to go there. But for a risk-taker player who want to be quickly recognize, it will be the best team for him cause he can easily showcase his skills but he needs to exert all effort to win games constantly in order to preserved his popularity if he doesn't want to be like Linsanity.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon-JP Morgan CEO "Satoshi will come back and erase bitcoin" on: January 30, 2024, 01:42:49 PM
From the way he is talking it's obvious that he knows nothing about bitcoin and he is not ready to learn. I pity anyone that will listen or take what he is saying about Satoshi Nakamoto and bitcoin serious. Their fud on bitcoin are gradually losing relevance. There will come a time when fud will mean nothing to bitcoin.

He is just one of those people who hate bitcoins and the whole crypto community and no matter how much hate they throw against Bitcoins, they don't success and the result of the huge exposure of bitcoins throughout the world is a huge slap against them as well. Lots of people already admiring it and there are also a lot more after we will reach another ATH this year or the next one. So let us just always correct those who want to be corrected and leave those who keep spreading FUD.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 30, 2024, 01:24:05 PM
Knowing when to stop is not actually about your losing side but could also be on our winning side. It is important on both sides for me. It limits your loss and it maximize your winnings. If you apply it on one side things will become unbalanced and might drive negative results.

Some people makes it hard to themselves when they don't have anything anymore and force to play more instead of making it their last attempt for their million dollars luck quest. That's why if you are one of those who stop themselves on playing and other source to make money and  become successful with that, you want to tell others that there are lots of opportunity out there and some of that opportunity might fit and also for you.
