181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Missed the maid MaidSafe IPO? No worries, I'll sell you some at IPO price >BTC on: April 26, 2014, 06:42:14 AM
This is only for BTC orders, I don't do MasterCoin. Please contact me. Happy to do Escrow (you'll need to cover the fee's). I've been around a long time, never had a bad trade.

We can do smaller trades but the total minimum is .5 BTC (we can carry that out in a few smaller trades if you're worried about going first).

Willing to sell at the IPO BTC offering price of 17k MSAFE per BTC. (maybe slightly better for a large purchase).
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buy MaidSafeCoin (MSAFE) with Bitcoin and Mastercoin on: April 25, 2014, 09:11:16 PM
I've got some MSAFE's too, I'll undercut anyone's prices.

185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: April 24, 2014, 04:24:26 PM
This isn't just trolling, 70% of the IPO came from stolen Mt. Gox Bitcoins!!! This whole thing is a scam.

Over 5,000 Bitcoin was transferred out of the maidensafe wallet today right when someone discovered this.

This alone shows how stupid you are, troll. Completely false.

Please go away.
Did you read the thread? I'm not making this up. Both statements are true.

I've read the entire thread and even stupidly looked in to some of the trolling. 99% speculation. 70% of this IPO was not paid for with stolen MtGox funds, that's not even what was trying to be said.

THIS IS NOT A SCAM PEOPLE.

If you spend 5 minutes doing some real research, you will see that this is a real project with tons of media attention and backing.

STOP LETTING THE TROLLS GET TO YOU.

They want exactly what they are getting from you. A reaction and some attention. The more you give them, the more fantastic shit they're going to come up with.

Ignore them or shoot them down. Anyone with half a brain can spend 5 minutes in Google and find out this is absolutely no scam.

DONT LET THEM GET YOU!!

Try to hijack threads much? You're not off to a good start if you're trying to promote your own agenda. So far you just look like some douche bag trying to jump on the gravy boat.

A private reg whois out of Panama and a website put together in 3 minutes. You surely are far more credible than the msafe project...

Where do these morons come from..... Any time there's something successful or a chance to steal some spotlight and money, the cockroaches come flooding out from under the stove to get a piece.

LOL... wow..

They actually hijacked my thread.  From Jan 27th, 2014.  It's here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434072.msg5023259#msg5023259

And, a trademark submission at the review stage long before they launched.  Which they should have known before branding.

No point in debating this here.  Unfortunately, for me, this appears to be a pump and dump.  Which hurts my brand I've been working hard on.

The actual SafeCoin will be much more than that.  It will actually be a safer currency.  Rather than a closed-source rehash of freenet or the tor network.

It has been a lot of work.

When your name is MaidSafe, you have to rebrand.  I get it.  But do a little DD first before damaging the work of others.

The actual SafeCoin has something to do with safe currency.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582598.0

They've got you beat by quite a long time in terms of how long the project has been in the works. I don't think you know much about the msafe project at all.

Actually the Safecoin idea was a new one that was introduced to attain funding for the Maidsafe project. It was never intended from the start to be a cryptocurrency or have a cryptocurrency aspect.

So in this way, he may have chosen the name Safecoin first.

The MaidSafe project on the other hand (unrelated to Safecoin) has been around for years.

If you want a piece of honest advice jjgallow, change the name of your project from safecoin to something else. You will never be able to compete with Maidsafe in terms of publicity and marketing. This is a monumental project that has been in the works for years and as such they have a lot of PR.
It is not really a big deal to change the name of your project as it hasn't been released yet.
Complaining about how they stole your project name won't get you anywhere unfortunately.

This is some great advice and I agree with you completely. I think you should post this in his thread too because he may not even see it here.

Holly Crap the trolls really got a foot hold on this tread in the last couple of pages - from making tags like 'scamsafe' to some wacky MtGox coin washing conspiracy theory... What's next.

Note to OP, give yourself moderation powers next time you make an ANN thread. Trolls are hungry around here and they are never better fed than they are in the most popular threads.

I'm still cracking up from the wanta be detective moron Templar that spells "they're" -  "there're" - holly crap it's amazing what complete idiots can do to a legit thread so quickly. haha

Well now you're just making yourself look silly. His first language is Spanish (see Blockchain.info links), but there're is a legitimate contraction of "there are" and is perfectly grammatically correct in the sentence "[There are] big guys involved in this scam". Being incapable of parsing that and assuming he meant "they're" is just puerile, most especially coming from someone that fails to spell "holy" correctly when throwing profanities around.

Oh yes, because "there're" is a word used by people, for sure. Troll Idiot.

Sorry for throwwwwwing you a biscuit trollllllllllllllllllll. There's a few more words that have extra letters in them for you (quite different than misspelling something). Let's see what you can do with that. Go ahead and derail the thread some more by sticking up for the mexican dude that's trying to derail it. Or you could just go light yourself on fire and make the world a better place.

Well, The TOR Network and Primecoin have both been ripped off in one botched launch.

The entire Open Source concept, abandoned.

$6 Million dollars spent without a proper check of the SafeCoin trademark.

http://safecoin.org

When the actual Safecoin launches, it will not be a pyramid scheme.  It will not be a pump and dump.

Most importantly, it will not rip off existing open source technology and close-source it.

It will be something never seen before.

If interested in more info, msg me.

I'll trade some MaidSafe's for MSC since there's probably a lot of people holding MSC after the crowd sale sold out so quickly.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 22, 2014, 10:23:19 PM
Changing the rules in the middle of the game smells a little bit fishy.

Is there somewhere an official response/apology to all MSC buyers that were left with an investment non-option and 50% loss?

I am by no means saying rules were changed, I think I am just confused here so don't take my statements as that please.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 22, 2014, 09:39:40 PM
If it's 50/50, then out of 455,997,071 created safecoins about 227,998,535 are reserved for BTC buyers. Let's forget bonuses and assume 17,000 safecoins per BTC. Then 227,998,535/17,000 ~ 13400 BTC is needed to finish the IPO. Only about 5K BTC is collected so far. Am I missing something?

Yes, you're missing something. There was a 40% early buy in bonus. So you can't just say, "Let's forget bonuses". Redo all your math, take all the purchases so far and add 40%

the only math that needs changing is the 227,998,535/23,800 which is 9579.77 so still just over half way to the total

Ya, I've heard some mixed rumors about some things being converted and reselling at .2 - it's a bit confusing but I was told they are not taking anymore orders (I could be wrong) but I'm not able to buy any.

Maybe I'm missing something?

They bought there own coins with mastercoin and now they're trying to sell them for Bitcoin! Can someone with an IQ that's not invested in this help me out pleeeeease!?Huh?
Are they selling?.. Obviously that would be odd but perhaps the market needs to be fed?

As I mentioned above, they had to buy themselves all safecoins meant for BTC donors because of the way mastercoin protocol works (i.e., only MSC can be used for IPO purchases and once the IPO is closed on the mastercoin protocol, no new coins can ever be created). So yes, technically they bought about a half of safecoins with their own mastercoins and now they are selling them for BTC. But I don't believe there was any dishonest/evil intend. There were just caught by surprise when so many MSC were sent in first few hours. The best fix for the future is to strictly adhere to mastercoin protocol intend and not to ever offer BTC purchases in the first place. Only automated MSC purchases should have been allowed during IPO.

They said it was going to be 50/50 mastercoin / BTC for the crowd purchase which if you look at the addresses and factor in the bonuses, it's done already, sold out.

Of course they still accept your BTC once the scam is done. Keep going. Send money. People love to lose money.

Such IPO
Much BTC
Very scammed

Can you explain exactly how it is a scam? Everything I've read seems pretty positive.

But coming from a guy with bid red scammer under his name, I assume you know about scams since it's what you do, so please enlighten us.
