Oh yes, because "there're" is a word used by people, for sure. Troll Idiot.
Sorry for throwwwwwing you a biscuit trollllllllllllllllllll. There's a few more words that have extra letters in them for you (quite different than misspelling something). Let's see what you can do with that. Go ahead and derail the thread some more by sticking up for the mexican dude that's trying to derail it. Or you could just go light yourself on fire and make the world a better place.

I didnt see this forbes article. Now Im very confused. Would these guys really show their faces for this super scam? The link is working... This is a real project people... I like your world where real people do not scam. Not saying this is an outright scam, but certain individuals are certainly making a lot of profits with insider information.

Just read all 18 pages of this in one go... Here's my take on this. There's a NETmundial gathering happening soon in Brazil, and early speculation is that attendees are going to wrest away US dominance of web infrastructure there, here's a RT story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wudHPidibvM . So here is 'Maidsafe' offering a new coin they are positioning so they can use it to auction off web storage, this looks to me like a private attempt to mimic an open source project, so I'm not surprised Mastercoin investors are involved. If US authorities are stripped of some authority to issue DNS addresses and things like that, they may start auctioning off these capabilities to new entites like this 'Maidsafe', who are now receiving stolen bitcoins from Mt Gox in a shady IPO... This looks like a transfer of internet power from US military infrastructure to private investors, investors that have inside information and are probably behind MT Gox's insolvency. Don't look for transparency here, maybe it's better if this is a scam and this money just vanishes.

What I want to say is, this is not a anonymous group trying to scam. They have been working on this project since several years. Before bitcoin ecosystem existence. What they are doing is using this system to rise funds to go forward with the project. And it seems me legitimate. I belive in these guys and in this project...

wow, finally some advance! Thanks for the updated news. I finally found my transaction. Not processed yet, but oh well. is not a big qty either :-) You guys can keep the funny quarreling about if its ALL a scam. Internetz, illuminati, etc. My take: Some things look clearer than others. I imagine my eskepticism if i enter on a forum in 2010 and some dude tries to sell me magical internet money a.k.a. Bitcoins at $0.50 a pop. I would have answered NO like 100 times.

This isn't just trolling, 70% of the IPO came from stolen Mt. Gox Bitcoins!!! This whole thing is a scam.
Over 5,000 Bitcoin was transferred out of the maidensafe wallet today right when someone discovered this.
This alone shows how stupid you are, troll. Completely false. Please go away.

I've read the entire thread and even stupidly looked in to some of the trolling. 99% speculation. 70% of this IPO was not paid for with stolen MtGox funds, that's not even what was trying to be said.

Which btw, the suspect amount is not 70% of 7015.

All the people calling the maidsafe project a scam really need to do their research! This is one of the most exciting and anticipated project to come up after bitcoin.
Many of us have been waiting for ipo to begin for months.
This is not one of the meaningless pump and dump scamcoins we keep seeing listed everyday in the forum.
The project has been under development for over 7 years .Their idea of decentralized internet is quite ambitious and game changing . Many established members here in btt have realized this and are quietly investing in the ipo .
Other people who are just caught up in the pump and dump scam world in the alternate currencies section really need to notice what's happening outside. Just because some projects are not using excessive PR creating hype and noise like Ethereum etc doesn't mean they don't have merit.

I am working to capture this story as it develops in this CCN article. At this point, we need an expert to weigh in. I have contacted Blockchain.info requesting clarity on their approval of the tag. From private correspondence I believe the maidsafe team are seeking contact with the Bitcoin core devs.

I strongly suggest that people do their homework before making accusations. more information available at Site: http://maidsafe.net/Source code: https://github.com/maidsafeBlog: http://blog.maidsafe.netVideo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdGH40oUVDYPress: http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/2014/04/08/beyond-bitcoin-crypto-ownership-companies-hope-youre-ready-to-decentralize-everything-on-the-internet/ http://www.coindesk.com/decentralized-internet-project-maidsafe-raise-funds-via-safecoin-sale/ http://launch.it/launch/maidsafe-sells-6-million-of-bitcoin-20-software-in-five-hours http://www.coinssource.com/maidsafe-storms-in-with-6mil-in-funding/David Irvine's response to “the Missing Gox Coins Flowing into Maidsafe IPO?”. more details will be available. On Thu, Apr 24, 2014 at 3:43 PM, Hearty < nigel...@gmail.com> wrote: If these can be confirmed as stolen David Irvine: I think this is the most important part. If we were to falsely accuse somebody here it would be terrible. I really would like to get some bitcoin devs opinion. I have seen many times on [Suspicious link removed]tories of I know this and "I am a genius" statements, for the core devs to come on and show the opposite. We definitely do not want to make innocent people feel criminal, it would be against the very thing I stand for. If, however, we did find impropriety then we the community can discuss it. We need solid advice though.
On Thu, Apr 24, 2014 at 4:07 PM, William Chung < wyw....@gmail.com> wrote: The problem is that the 'tainted' MSAFE coins could have been traded on the exchange and purchased by someone completely innocent by the time they are redeemed for safecoins. David Irvine: Yes this is all the way bitcoin etc. works, when the transfer happens then it's done. If we start to try and chase these down we risk making people very wary of taking btc as payment for anything. This is an area the community can find itself in real trouble. Treading carefully is an understatement as the political ramifications of this kind of thing would be very bad for the crypto currency community.
We need to be sure we all know (me especially) without doubt we have concrete evidence of any such wrongdoing at all.
On Thu, Apr 24, 2014 at 4:46 PM, < dan.mat...@gmail.com> wrote: As people are now posting on reddit and bitcointalk this appears to be Bitstamp's wallet. --This Confusion Happened Before http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1yxxgf/the_posted_address_with_a_transfers_totaling/David Irvine: Whoever sent this shouldn't have sent funds from Bitstamp anyway since they don't control the keys.
I hope this is the case. I know we have refunded a bunch of people who did that. That allows them to try again if they wish anyway. I have seen this kind of story a lot and it is always followed by a reason to regulate pitch. Not that I think cry wolf but bitcointalk is full of way out there accusations at times, which is a shame. It is a great resource if used properly.
I am sure this will all unfold as time moves on. The bitcoin devs would be pouncing I think if it were likely as that would be damaging to us all.

I think its pretty clear at this point there are stolen bitcoins being laundered here. How many are being laundered is speculative.
I also think its safe to say that if we have large amounts of funds coming from mtgox accounts which no one has been able to withdraw from in months, these are stolen bitcoins. In my opinion these investments should be disqualified unless the "investors" are willing to come forward and make a statement regarding the legitimacy of these bitcoins. If they were purchased (somehow) then they should have no trouble backing that up.
I also think it might be wise to freeze these investments, that is, do not hand over the corresponding amount of Safecoins until the matter is discussed.

If we have 100% sure that stolen Mtgox coins are used in this IPO, the MaidSafe admin can suspend the safecoin emission for these address until they proof the true or the identity.
