now I just hope moolah doesn't go under before SYScoin can get all their presale bitcoins.

Lol I was right. Hope syscoin got their money. Shady mother fuckers running moolah.

We are still 100% committed to Syscoin and this will not change that. It is at this moment unclear what consequences it will have have on the reminder of the BTC held in escrow.
So just to be clear, this changes nothing for us going forward and becoming a force to be reckoned with within in the crypto space.

Oh and RC3 is ready. Will post details later. (looking/working good)

Just to be 100% clear and this is not something we do often. But to follow the rules we have to say this.
Manbot1 please leave this thread and stop posting.

Hi. I haven't been able to find this on this or the old threads but what are the plans for publicizing/marketing/networking after dev?
I know it's not ready to fly just yet, but is there BTC set aside for marketing? Are there plans for networking in China and E.U. like Blackcoin is doing?
Are there plans for a massive Twitter/SocMed/Viral campaign?

I'd like to help out.

Thanks!

Great to hear. (And don't worry we are not ignoring you). I'll let Mike answer this one, but yes we do have a marketing plan in place.
More details to follow. Please also have a look at our website (http://syscoin.org)

Network Hashrate : 322.89 GH/s
Current Difficulty : 4547.3285

Pretty happy with that

...
I will answer your question and hopefully you (or your team) will answer mine.
I was livid when dan mentioned that they were having minor issues with the wallet release. Not because I invested over 2M but because this is a very minor release. Aliases and the visual UI of aliases was already in the initial syscoin wallet release back in August. It was pulled back in August because they were having issues back then. Now fast forward to this latest release and you still had issues on the day you were to release! I don't know if they were the same issues as back in August and I really don't care. The point is you still had bugs. And then dan decided to come up with the RC post (which seemed like he made up as he went along) .So, that really pissed me off. Then of course you kept deleting my posts, which set me off even more. Then finally what really did it is that hardly anyone on here voiced their displeasure. They were acting like pussies by defending you when they should have been just as concerned!
...

I think there is bit of a misunderstanding here. I'll let coderboo/Dan reply to most of it but just want to clear something up

This is in no way a "very minor" release. There are tons of minor bug fixes, enhancements etc. This includes a brand new feature which is sendtoalias (more on that one in later posts).
There will ALWAYS be minor issues and bugs in software development. That is the nature of software. No complex software are without bugs.

And the reason we deleted a lot of your posts were that you were abusive, double posting and spreading blatant lies. Its really as simple as that and that we will not accept in our thread.
Constructive criticism is welcome, and we are always open to suggestions but when the language comes across as very abusive - what type of response do you expect

Development Update

Syscoin v0.1.5 RC2/Public Beta 2 is now available! Just wanted to give people a heads up that we're taking the feedback from the RC program seriously!  Smiley

Feedback:
1. if the wallet is already unlocked, don't prompt for password.
now if I want to register several alias, I must input password multiple times,
Is it just because the lock period is short intended for one time action?
2. for alias search, no need to unlock wallet, because no private key involved.
Also, as I remember in RC1, it works fine without unlock.

Hey shadowduck

1. This use the normal unlock box which only unlocks the wallet for that one transaction. We talked a lot about this on the team.
Unlocking the wallet for a longer period of time would not be consistent with the likes of Bitcoin Core, Litecoin etc.
This could also be considered a security risk, but as always we are open to suggestions. (For example, allowing a specific number of minutes where the wallet remains unlocked)

2. Search actually do use your own keys to make sure you are looking at the latest details. But again we might change this.

Thanks for your feedback.

Whatever guys. The release was a disaster like the others. I have over 2 million in sys. They hopefully fired the guy who claims to be a programmer.
Look at them using ICO money to prop up the price on mintpal. That 320 order is BS.

Haha.. register forum today, and FUD Syscoin from the first post, and claiming to hold millions of Syscoin. i love smart people Grin
Ok..for the report, i have to rebuild block every time i upgrade wallet from 0.14 to 0.15, tested it in 3 PC/Wallet.

Jumping to PM for clarification.

The most thing in UI design is user friendly and beautiful, maybe you can hire some expertise in UI degisn, UI is simple to developer, but it's very important to users.

I think a quick round of user acceptance testing would be a big help in this regard. Would just take a very small group a few hours to iron out any howlers (such as this passphrase palava..).

That is the plan going forward as per Dan's post.

I think what gefafwisp means is that maybe in the next release, a possible close private alpha/beta testing should be included in the Syscoin dev cycle to avoid this kind of quirks.

Yep Smiley

Aye, it is indeed a good idea and something I would think that we will take on-board.

What are you talking about? Honestly.
2 minor issues has been reported in relation to the release candidate.

For the new alias functionality
1. If wallet is encrypted you have to unlock it manually
2. Hit enter on search screen.

How is that an nonworking wallet?

Release candidate?
Are you kidding me?

It's definitely ALPHA quality!!

What's this?

Wallet encrypted I take it.
Help / Debug window / Console
walletpassphrase "your wallet password" 5000 true
The 5000 is the total time it will be unlocked.

So, why we need the new UI for alias?
just go to the console and do all the tasks.

And, what the hell can I get the instruction when I want to do something on alias?

Just adding another input box for the password under the already exists two input boxes,
and invoking the command under the hood when I click the "OK" button is trivial, right?

Don't tell me that you have no the capability to implement them.

No need to to throw around insults. It is a good suggestion though, will add it to the list.
