It is true that those who are not searching to trade on xel at the moment are best advised to keep their coins off an exchange for safe keeping.
Excited for Sunday's news, I don't have my coins on the exchanges. I still haven't claimed my $XEL. Is there a time limit or can I leave them unclaimed as long as I want? Please tell me, is there any news on Sunday? Is that an update from Team $ XEL  If true I will immediately send my $ XEL from wallet to exchange  There is an update from the dev team coming. Could be a big announcement about mainnet release or just a simple update or even delay. I am not selling until 5 usd. This is a serious project and a long term hold. For claiming from the genesis block, there is no limit that i know. You have unlimited time to claim your xel or not even claim if you want I expect something cool. The GitHub is active and the project is great. it could be one of the first project to be actually really being used Elastic has always been a real project with a dedicated genius team behind it. |

@everyone just spoke with @semux and here are few items I got from him
1. The next distribution will be airdrop to altcoin holders - specifics to be communicated soon
2. The exchange listing will be delayed due to a few pending pull requests which require protocol upgrades - the team are working on the checklist for codes related to exchange listing
3. The next release was supposed to be published within days - this will contain recent change and bug fix

For everyone asking when Semux will be listed, the dev is already working on that and is currently contacting multiple exchange. They are just waiting for reply from these exchange sites. Also, there are still codes needed for semux to be easier to add to exchange and the dev team are currently working on these.
The team is currently focused on the following codes to help semux in the long run:
- Multisig
- DDoS Resistance
- Wallet optimization for Large Number of Accounts,
- Validators slashing protocol
Exchange integration was major problems with coins and that was one of the cause of dumps. Dev is proactively working on that is excellent news. Also can dev address the question about if Exchange is hacked, how they can address the question about those who are holding Semux at exchange? Is their way to stop transaction on hacked coins? The only way to avoid loosing your coins when an exchange gets hacked is to not keep your coins on an exchange. Deposit -> exchange -> withdraw. Quick. Blockchain is not a bank, exchange is not a bank. You are responsible for making sure your funds are safe - don't keep it on exchange, backup private keys, keep them safe. |

wish I could have bought ETH the time they listed this thread, feeling bad now! That's a fantastic growth.
Don't feel bad there is still chance to catch this train huge space to grow more strong in future. If you have some reserve than you can buy this right now in long term you will be satisfied with this. don't be so sure. Ethereum is great, but there's always a threat from new technologies that are emerging right now. Most of the ongoing ICOs are scams, but some might become a better smart contract platform than Ethereum is now. I wonder if Semux can be one of these fantastic platforms...from what I've seen so far, there is a good chance that it will be. |

My 3 cents: how about changing the website from saying
"Superfast with 30 seconds block time"
to
"Superfast with immutable transactions after 30 seconds"
I think 1 confirmation transaction immutability is a very important property of Semux BFT that people need (and will!) to know about.
