This site is scum.

Would you mind telling us a little bit details what happened?  Huh
182  Economy / Gambling / Re: Awesome Bitcoin Gambling on: July 29, 2014, 02:58:32 PM
Very cool btc casino with live chat and open for investors , Well worth a look i got free pizza there yesterday ; )

It's quite risky to invest as the site is -45btc profit. I don't know who did it and how, but the gamblers did pretty good.

Edit: the gambler lost over 65 btc already lol

That big gambler is "Road2wealth".
He has gambled more than 6000 btc on the site for the past 3 days and has brought the site profit down to -51btc at one point. Smiley

185  Other / Meta / Re: Stop quote pyramids ? on: July 29, 2014, 09:49:33 AM
I like the way bitcointa.lk handles them and they're collapsible / you have to 'click to expand'. I think something similar should be employed here.

https://bitcointa.lk/threads/will-satoshi-nakamoto-be-worlds-first-trillionaire.342898/#post-7556506

that would be amazing. as much as it is sometimes useful to get more context, it would be so much better not to have the huge blocks of quotes. especially in threads that we already frequent.

i wonder if there are plans for something like this for the new forum.

No idea, though some have suggested using "spoiler tags" in the new forum software (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583993.0) for hiding images and long paragraphs.
186  Other / Meta / Re: Error on bitcointalk.org on: July 29, 2014, 09:46:59 AM
They should just make it 360 seconds for the account no matter what IP as it isn't hard to login on a phone or change your IP with a VPN and bypass this rule.

Does that really work?
Log in with IP 1 and then you can make a post right away with IP 2?  Huh
I doubt it. It probably restricts both IP and account wise, simply associating your IP once you use it with an account. Although you can try.

It is a little bit hard for me to test it, considering I need to switch the IP within 8 seconds (my current posting limit) lol. Tongue
187  Economy / Gambling / Re: FairProof.com - the simplest provably fair bitcoin lottery [NO DEPOSIT BONUS] on: July 29, 2014, 09:39:40 AM
Service seems to be offline now too. Beware guys!

It seems the site is now back online, but with all the above complaints (no response from support + missing bitcoin), I am not sure whether it is good place to gamble with my bitcoin...

No wonder I can't access the site, and I didn't notice the missing K either lol.
Guess both you and I should get a cup of coffee to start the day. Tongue
189  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: July 29, 2014, 09:29:43 AM
is it really possible to win free bitcoins every hour? how?

Yes, freebitco.in is basically a faucet.
The site owner gets some ad revenue, and share it with the faucet users.

is it a kind of ponzi?

Have you checked the site?
You don't need to deposit any bitcoin (and in fact, you can't).

You just need to register an account, and you can get a tiny amount of bitcoin by entering a captcha every hour (like other faucets).

You can choose to gamble with the free satoshis you collected, but it is not a must.

Heh. Looks like my negative feedback pushed him into the red:

Not that it matters because:
  • He won't use silvercane again
  • He'll just create another username
  • It's too late for negative trust to matter
but it still feels good seeing it Cheesy

Interesting that the website & social media profiles are still up; they're usually the first to disappear.

Since you are not in the default trust list, your trust feedback is "untrusted" to most of the people here and so his trust score is still 0 for most of us.

It's funny but I can not find "divest" button at prcdice... Also SSL sertificate is not valid now.. What happens?

It's in account page / investments.

What ssl isn't valid? There are two sites https://prcdice.eu and https://pocketrocetscasino.eu both have valid ssl certificates.

Are there any problem in https://pocketrocetscasino.eu?
I can't access it at this moment, but I have no problem with prcdice.
194  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 700M+ Bets | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: July 29, 2014, 09:04:39 AM
so when is pd3 coming out, i keep hearing theres a count down but no ones providing me a link.

The countdown people has been talking is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=291387.msg7781517#msg7781517
Primedice3 is soon to launch. And the official countdown is about to start.

When I say so (I will send out a mass PM when), all members will need to change their signature daily to create a "count down" effect.

Example:

On the 18th (Not actual date just example) I PM everyone saying change your signature to "PrimeDice3 launching in 10 days". Everyone will do so.
On the 19th everyone changes their signature to "PrimeDice3 launching in 9 days". Everyone will do so.
On the 20th everyone changes their signature to "PrimeDice3 launching in 8 days". Everyone will do so.

This will only take you guys about 30 seconds a day to do. If you for some reason you miss a day that's perfectly fine. Just make sure when your posting your signature always aligns up with the current count down date.

No one will be disqualified for not doing this, but it'd be greatly appreciated for the very small amount of work it'll take for you guys Smiley.

Cheers guys & as always thanks for the continued support!!

The countdown hasn't started yet. When it starts, you will see it in the signature space of all the PD sig participants. Smiley

stunna, does PD# offer investing from playing? if not i think you should research and add it. it will double your rev.

How would letting users invest double his revenue?
It might even make it smaller.

Only if he charges 10% commission on investors profits. But I think he'll make more profit with his own investment.

I believe that question has been asked many times after JD closed, and Stunna has made it clear PD won't be accepting investment...

Never seen a bitcoin AtM. You guys are so lucky.

You could check http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-atm-map/ from time to time, to see if there is a new ATM near you. Smiley
197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Proof of ... systems in mine. on: July 29, 2014, 08:48:32 AM
PoB is Proof of Burn, but I'm unfamiliar with PoI.

For the newbies: Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Stake (PoS).

I believe the PoI stands for "Proof of Importance" used by NEM (announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426303.0)
Quote
+ Unlike Bitcoin and other mining coins, all NEM would be distributed at the genesis block. NEM stakeholders are its own network nodes which verify the transactions and protect the network following a hybrid of Proof of Stake/ Proof of Importance forging mechanism. This type of distribution eliminates the need to have a mining industry which is an external force that imposes a huge cost to Bitcoin and other POW networks. The computational arm-race is avoided by using the hybrid of Proof of Stake/ Proof of Importance forging mechanism.

+ A novel method Proof of Importance haversting that rewards the nodes that are most important to the network, not the nodes with the biggest number of NEM.

I can't find the details of it though...
198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Everyone of my friends says the same: "How do I get Bitcoins?" on: July 29, 2014, 08:43:52 AM
BitcoinGet has been around and paying out for well over a year now. It is not a faucet, but rather an "earn" site, where you get BTC for completing microtasks. We have users that consistently earn 10-20 USD equivalent of BTC a day in their spare time. In the early days, some users were earning 0.5 BTC a day.

Nice site. It's humorous that the site's title says Earn free bitcoins when people are by some definitions working for the money!  Grin

That's true.
You don't need to "pay" for the bitcoin, but no matter you are doing some micro-tasks, watching some youtube videos or simply seeing some ads, you are indeed providing a service in exchange for the bitcoin.
199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Faucets to avoid on: July 29, 2014, 08:06:25 AM
To be honest, you should avoid all these faucets even if they really pay.
You could earn bitcoin more efficiently with sig campaigns and selling your goods and services. Smiley

For example, you can get 4000 satoshi per post as newbie with 777coin sig, and 40000 satoshi per post as member with PD sig.
200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Bitcoin would you like to have at the end of 2015? on: July 29, 2014, 08:01:10 AM
I am planning to earn some bitcoin through sig campaign, and as well buy a few more bitcoin when the price is low.
It is pretty hard to predict how much I am going to buy, but I hope I can get about 10 btc by the end of 2015.
