181  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Biostar TB250-BTC PRO 12 GPU support 6 AMD 6 Nvidia on: July 30, 2017, 09:32:55 AM
Got my board today, looks great man, im excited to build this bad boy Cheesy

Thx again!

curious how it works out for you...let us know!

It's been a while since CjMapope received it but haven't heard from anyone that has tested this mobo and tell us their experience/review.
Deep In The Mines LLC, does this mobo support 12 AMD only GPUs or it should be 6 AMD and 6 Nvidia? or 12 Nvidia only?
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Centra ICO 8/5/17 | Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: July 29, 2017, 06:38:39 PM
There are some trolls that are prepared to troll and write everything they have in mind and that are being told from the competitors, which is not a surprise.

When something is pretty good, others want to destroy it and stop growing because Centra's service is too good.

I've been reading the website, whitepaper and everything that is related to Centra and I believe that it's a promising project with a good future.

I'm going to support this project and undoubtedly it will be a successful ICO and further.

P.S I have seen that many people are hired to make negative posts, don't get surprised why they spend too much time and effort posting here.

184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Centra ICO 8/5/17 | Multi-Blockchain Worldwide Debit Card & Insured Wallet on: July 28, 2017, 06:41:40 PM
Been reading this thread, website and the whole whitepaper for few hours...

The link is broken.

This link doesn't work: https://centratech.slack.com/signup

Update the Team section in Whitepaper (it's blank)

I've found some bugs in the website, where can I report them?

Can you please explain this: "CTR Token holders will receive a 0.8% ETH reward for every transaction in the network."
If I send CTR from address A to address B, address A will have 0.8% of the amount transferred to address B right?

I'm looking forward being one of the first 500 investors.

P.S I'm unable to join into the slack, "You have Successful reserved your place in line."
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support for Bitcoin Cash - Exchanges says NO on: July 28, 2017, 10:20:46 AM
Poloniex doesn't support the Bitcoin Cash at least for an undefined time, they maybe will support the "BCC" or "BCH"

Update:
While an email from Kraken:
Quote
Kraken plans to support BCH on our platform for funding and trading in the pairs BCH/XBT, BCH/USD, BCH/EUR
Clients holding Bitcoin (XBT) balances at the time of the fork will be credited with an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) - e.g. 1 XBT will result in 1 XBT + 1 BCH

Just received an email from Circle which says that they may never support the new version.
186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: July 27, 2017, 09:00:29 PM
Many friends of mine have started to sell their coins, they are afraid what will happen on 1st August so they feel better to sell them and maybe to buy later.
Personally, I'm risking to hold my coins in a desktop wallet and see how things are going next week.
The price to sell is not bad, it's been up for a while after the big dump/crash but everyone has its own decision.

If you are risk taker and not afraid of losing then holding your coin will be a good thing because you are not scared on what will happen on august 1 or after. If somehow the price get pump in an instant you will be in good profit but for now we wait until what will happen on august 1. i myself is keeping a bitcoin but it's not big.

Well the coins can't disappear, I know that I'm risking a bit but its not a huge risk as the amount isn't high, I have risked more in altcoins which I'm in a huge loss at the moment because of the current exchange rate.
Even if the price will get pumped I won't sell as I consider too early to sell.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: July 27, 2017, 08:47:29 PM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

During this journey bitcoin price through the years has been very unstable sometimes but I can conclude that bitcoin price can have different value.
If bitcoin value can be lowered then we can say it can have a higher value too.
Bitcoin loses its value mostly when an exchange get hacked, a mass hack happens, and or big investors decide to move their funds to somewhere else.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: July 27, 2017, 07:33:40 AM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Bitcoin is being advertised a little bit in the TV but not always for good things but when somewhere in the world people are getting hacked or a ransomware has affected thousands of computers including the public institutions etc.
Recently Bitcoin is being advertised in medias as the btc-e "owner" has been "arrested" for laundering billions of dollars in bitcoin and this give bitcoin a shady meaning in the public.
189  Economy / Services / Re: Can someone work whole day ( 18-20 hrs ) for 0.005 btc ? on: July 27, 2017, 07:16:48 AM
I am looking to hire someone who can work 18-20 hours for 0.005 bitcoins. The work will be simple but needs you online all those hours and I will pay once you have done, anyone interested please reply here. NO PM please

You better hire two people and split the works between them, 9-10 hours one and 9-10 hours the other one.
Nobody is able to work 18-20 hours even though for 0.005 which is a joke in some countries and it's a small payment somewhere else.
If you still can't find anyone then split the work between 3 people 6-7 hours still better and you will have a better performance.
190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best trading site now? on: July 27, 2017, 07:13:36 AM
Poloniex & Bittrex are the best ones right now for me.

But one advice, just don't make any YoBit account or else you'll start crying, the worst exchange that could ever be made is YoBit.

I have been using all of these exchanges for years in the past and of course I had some issues time to time and it's really for panic when it's about your money.
Poloniex and Bittrex both of them are good and have many different coins that other exchanges doesn't have.
Yobit is good too but recently I see that people are complaining that are having issues with deposit and withdrawal so I'm staying away and not using Yobit for many months.

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Exchange] Liqui - trade and earn 24 APR on BTC, ETH on: July 26, 2017, 09:41:30 PM
Tried to reach your support in the chat on the website but unsuccessfully for a while.
I'm having issue with the trade/order history in the website, I want to know what was the price of X coin when I made a particular trade.
It shows only a blank website. Available only last 30 trades for each pair. but the page is all clean.
193  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for trustfully known Escrow-Service! on: July 26, 2017, 09:18:29 PM
I believe use a couple escrows and the best would be Sebastian Ju as he is very trusted, by the way you were asking loan a bit before : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2046458.0

I don't think things would go good with this, anyways good luck !

Thanks.

That little loan request was just a fast one to pay a service cause atm i don't have any BTC avaible. It don't have anything to do with the upcomming project i need the escrow for.
Looks like my biggest mistake...  Roll Eyes

Anyway - I don't know how it's possible to scam someone with escrow.  Cheesy

There are some tricks too but people should be really careful, escrows too.
If you are going to use escrow for the ICO then I would highly suggest you use more than one escrow, somewhere around 2-3 escrows 2 of 3 multi signature.
My suggestion would be SebastianJu - Yahoo - Lutpin - OgNasty.
Anyway here is up to date the list of trusted escrow: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897
194  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 26, 2017, 08:38:19 PM
Below is a summarized illustration highlighting the theft coin flow of September 2011 onwards:

(The top area of the graph includes clusters unrelated to Vinnik, and appear to be part of a different theft.)

A good article that I "enjoyed" reading today: http://blog.wizsec.jp/2017/07/breaking-open-mtgox-1.html
Let's see in the upcoming days what will happen and what will the popular media write about this case which is very sensitive and interesting.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Ripple is number 3 on Coinmarket. How come its below 1 Dollar? on: July 26, 2017, 08:10:10 PM
The price can only be increased if more people start using it, when Ripple will be more popular and more merchants will start using it.
Through this time while this happens the value of Ripple will start increasing and I would be happy to see it increasing because I have invested a lot in Ripple.
There are a lot of Ripple supply, that's why the coin has a small value.
196  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coindesk hacked? on: July 26, 2017, 07:48:58 PM
I went to www.coindesk.com and got prompted to finish a Wordpress site install...

Something seems wrong with that to me.

Coindesk works just perfect, it might be an ad or something similar that was "started" by an adware or any other software in your PC which is a common thing.
I use adblock/ublock to block most of the ads that are shown in the website even though it can't block all of them.
Stay safe.
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC-e still down, Russian arrested in Greece on: July 26, 2017, 07:29:27 PM
If this arrest is really related to BTC-e heist then I would say its good signal to the entire market that the anonymity is not enough to keep the hands of law from reaching you and also a signal to others who might be thinking in that direction to use this suspending of btc on sites as an opportunity to bolt with lots of fund, the eyes of the law is equally watching you. Coindash did its own, btc-e did its own who knows who is coming next?.

The anonymity online is disappearing day to day and for some reasons it is good and for some other reason it is bad as people want to have privacy but not all of them use for good things.
Btw Bitmixer.io has shut down. You can read more here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2042470
Also I believe that there is something else hidden behind this arrest, making a foggy situation to the public.
198  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 26, 2017, 07:06:54 PM
This is a trick from them to keep/hold/block and withdraw their coins from customer and to benefit at 1 August (if any) or later if there will be any airdrop at this date or something similar leaving their clients to not control their own money.
Very shady action from them, I don't use btc-e but I know it's a big exchange and 5-10 days maintance is a lot.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid of August One? on: July 26, 2017, 06:49:01 PM
I'm not afraid but I'm more worried about how the process will go and when will it be stabilized the infracture and how people will deal in this mess when also exchanges will block the deposit/withdrawal.
Recently Coinbase announced:
Quote
BTC Buys/Sells/Withdrawals will be Temporarily Disabled on July 31
Due to a potential fork of the bitcoin blockchain, all BTC buys/sells and withdrawals will be temporarily disabled beginning on July 31.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buying Bitcoins With DOGECOINS on: July 26, 2017, 05:56:21 PM
Selling doge coins for bitcoins is not a good idea as i see.. The value of doge is pretty low. I suggest you if you if you got Dogecoins in a great quantity then you must have patience and stock your doge for proper time to exchange with bitcoins. 7months before the value of doge was 6satoshi now its value is around 70satoshi, so i suggest you to wait and sell when price is over 150satoshi or near to it that you can have some valuable btc amount in wallet. Selling for now is upto you but i suggest to stock doge for proper time or invest in any exchange that support invest like yobit.net. Its better then to exchange for a low amount of btc.

Why bumping a thread 2 years old?
I don't know why people are surprised asking in forum if anyone wants to sell, first of all is about the privacy maybe someone doesnt' want his IPs or something else to be logged into exchanges and/or doesn't want to give ID for verification to have lift limits.
And another reason can be trust, withdrawal process delays, fees etc.
