So guys, how are you earning your Bitcoins, through mining hardware, or satoshi digging crap?
I am making them through a bit different way of the "usual mining" I am actually "working" or call it whatever you want on a site called Steemit, which is mostly about writing articles. I am earning STD (steem dollars) within each article, and then I process the redeeming to bitcoins.
But this is not passive, and not guaranteed cuz there are days that I am not earning anything.. It all depends on "voting power" - who votes for you. Oh forgot to say votes are important because that's what earns your steem dollars. Steem dollars can easily be exchanged for bitcoins. The process takes 5-10 minutes.
So, what about you guys? What's your "passive income", how are you mining bitcoins?
If you have a job then you can buy bitcoin whenever you need at different exchange rate. I haven't seen any good method that let you make passive income without hard working for a long time. Mostly I generate by trading and investing on things, altcoins like ETH etc. |

It has been some days since I downloaded the Ethereum Wallet and it took ages to be synced and stopped It at the end.
Since that day my laptop got slower and slower that I think that I should re-install the Windows again from the beginning.
Is myetherwallet same or lighter?

Which is the best wallet for ethereum in windows. I used one a long time ago but fails to synchronize,would appreciate your help.
Should be this one: https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releasesaltho i have problems now. stuck at 2339693. Have no ideas why. Had peers and all. Now try to sync from scratch. I am actually surprised it goes so fast. I dont have SSD and have 3/4 synced really fast. Not to mention my old chaindata folder was 27 GB, now is under 5 GB and only 1/4 blocks left. I'm going to download the 64-bit windows version and this is my first time, how long does it take to sync fully? And what internet speed do you have so I can compare how long will it take for me to download ?? GB of data. you need one day to download the blockchain (it depends on your the internet speed) I think is better to use myetherwallet. I have let it for 9 hours and it is still on block 1,3M, there were some unexpected windows update which slowed the process. Anyway I'm going to let it the whole day and see what will happen and will check this myetherwallet, what's the difference btw? And the Disk is 100% in use which I don't like much. Does MyEtherWallet offers private key of the address? |

Bottleneck will be speed of your HD. if you have SSD will be super fast if HDD will take overnight. As i said 3/4 of blockchain is 5 GB. I installed the Electrum Wallet and I'm downloading the blocks right now, I'm almost at 10% but will see how far will it go after 8 hours. I used Ethereum a lot in the past but only through exchanges but now want to try the desktop wallet and experiement with the private key/troubleshooting. |

There is anything about bitcoin in that pdf. I searched it and found nothing. They can put a limit on withdrawals/deposits but it doesn't equal a ban.
I searched too for "crypto", "atm", "bitcoin" and no result so reading the whole pdf takes lots of time. Anyway if it is that people are not allowed to use ATM or buying bitcoin<=>cash then people will find always a way how to buy or sell bitcoins. |

I don't have any concrete plan but in general I try to save bitcoin for urgent moments and situations. I see your point, you want to become legendary even with 1 post, it has been discussed few pages back. You don't have to ask theymos because you can reduce your posts yourself but it will take some time. I suspect that even if you delete all your post history, your rank won't go down. Since this seems to be what the poster you replied to actually wants, i.e. not remain Legendary with a few posts but turn into a Newbie member again (for his own reasons)...
