Both of them! The escrow should hold the bitcoins which sends the buyer and the seller should send all details to the escrow, then the buyer can ask the escrow about the account if everything is correct what sellers said etc. |

Bitcoin needs shorter block times. I can't count how often I paid with btc and had to wait up to an hour until the payment was processed. If I use PayPal I can have instant payment. Big problem for a currency.
Then you were unlucky, checking the last 6 blocks now we can see that the average is 6 minutes (6 blocks in 35min). It's true that sometimes it can be up to 1 hour but even longer when the transaction fee are below the minimum. See my reply above.  In the last hour, 6 confirmations took only 28 minutes, so it really depends how lucky you are. What I hate about bitcoin is the stress test, the fees (which changes in different situations) and that we can't buy on stores we shops most. |

If you make lots of transaction within a short period of time then it is good for you to have an online wallet which pays the tx fees. Few of them that pay the transaction fees are xapo and coinbase, but if you don't make lots of transaction then a desktop wallet like electrum is better. |

I think that cash is not so good as bitcoin in security matter, but it's still better for using. It is so hard to spend bitcoins well online, cause many different shops still do not accept it.
On one side you are right but if you really want to spend your bitcoins (without worrying about the fees) then you can. Through the bitcoin debit card you can buy mostly everything that you can buy with your normal local credit card. |
