181  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: February 19, 2021, 05:53:39 PM
I would still not count so much on the market's immunity to bad news. The market is a rather unpredictable thing and for sure there may be such bad news that the market will still react to or the flow of good news will dry up and some of the market players will want to take a profit. I also hope for a long period of growth, as long as there is a policy of government stimulus, but corrections are inevitable.
There will be corrections as long as the market exists, like you said I agree on that. The good thing about the rise of bitcoins this time is that there are big names coming into the scene and they are not just advertising or supporting bitcoins but also using it and recently tesla announced that they will accept bitcoins as a means of payment for the cars they sell.

Such type of announcements are pure gold for the growth of bitcoins because Tesla is the best car company and them accepting bitcoin means there will be others who will follow the same path and accept bitcoins as payment. Maybe they can accept ETH and others too which would fuel the whole crypto community as a whole.

Honestly it was a shock for me that United played this well in the past weeks, they didn't started awesome to the year we all know that, they were like 12th at some point and there was even talks about firing OLE as well, but they became so good that they were first for few weeks there, I always believed they were a team in between those levels, they are neither good enough to be the first team, they are neither bad enough to be 12th neither, it is like a situation where they are at the middle of that pack. Top 5 team for sure but they are going to leave some points here and there to be like that as well.

On the other hand it was a shocking result by Spurs to lose to brighton, I had 2.33 odds on wager and I assumed it would be an easy pick and the odd was awesome for me, now I know why it was such a huge odd as well, it turns out it wasn't as easy of a game as I imagined.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 19, 2021, 05:54:07 PM
Leicester has always been an "underdog" in peoples eyes no matter what they do. They are literally the third team behind United and City and they are still seen underdogs in many games. They have won championship and they were seen underdogs even just one year later, long story short betting on Leicester this game should be easy pickings.

Chelsea is not a bad team do not get me wrong, I am not saying Leicester will win because Chelsea is bad, they are definitely a great team but Leicester is just a lot better than them so that is why I would pick them. Liverpool on the other hand is shocking all pundits, this is the same team that won almost undefeatedly last year with only 3 losses at late stages, had 99 points which was near the record level, and now they already have 2 losses and also 7 ties which is really shocking, they couldn't win one game in the last 4 tries neither, let's see gonna happen against Burnely.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 12, 2021, 06:15:09 PM
Bucks won today against Magic. What I notice is the audience. It's starting to get back to have matches in home courts of different teams.

I'm not just used to see this few crowd. But that's it, this is much better to see that it's getting back to normal although it's just a slow pace.

Its hard to watch games end to end without the crowd.  The home crowd cheering and chanting males it more exciting.  This past ~ year has seemed like one long preseason or something.  Cant wait until fans are back in the seats and not cardboard cutouts.

I agree with you. It is not much enjoyable to watch the games like this. I get bored after watching one or two quarters. I am hopeful about the vaccine. I believe things will start getting back to normal in this year after getting covid-19 vaccine. And we will be able to start watching the games with supporters.

It's really different watching games without the participation of the fans.

Though due to this current setup, it's still best than nothing at all, the NBA management are trying their best to bring the games on
even the settings is something like this, but who knows once the vaccine are really effective we may see the fans back from their feet watching the game from their respective homecourt.
That is what I suggested as well, I know that covid had some mutations and turned into something new, but the reality is that we are looking at something totally related, not like a brand new virus, so the vaccination should be effective for the new one as well. I am not saying it will be as effective, maybe it will be less, who knows if we are lucky maybe even more effective, all I am saying is it can't be totally useless.

In the end we are going to see a lot more fans on stands, but I am not sure if I really miss that, as long as we have basketball, I am fine with no fans, plus I am personally not going anyway because I am not in USA, so why would I care if fans go or not. The only bad part is, teams lose money, and when they lose money they can't pay too well, when they can't pay too well players get poorer and that would be sad because I would want my favorites to get paid well.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 07, 2021, 08:09:45 PM
Paul George definitely plays like he wasn't affected before the shoulder injury, but after the shoulder injury he hasn't been really himself. We all know his year with OKC where he got MVP votes, he wasn't even close to being MVP but he got some votes at least. Whereas since he came to Clippers he sucked big time so far, we all joked about the side board shot too, which is why I think its quite important to find what type of injury affects, dude broke his leg in half and came back awesome, had a minor shoulder injury and sucked.

Also let's be honest with each other, Fultz was never really as good as the guys in the list, Derrick Rose? That dude was youngest MVP in history of NBA, how could you compare him to Fultz? And all others on the list played very well too. Just because Fultz were seen as a potentially good player and got injured few times doesn't mean he was ever good, he just had potential to be good.

187  Economy / Economics / Re: How Can Blockchain Improve Healthcare? on: October 22, 2020, 04:44:05 PM
It’s out responsibility to improve our healthcare. Our leaders have to sit down and think of ways that they are going to be able to improve. And when I say leaders, I don’t mean these old and retarded men we have as leaders. We need new and young leaders who will be ready to move the world forward, these old men don’t know what they are doing and they don’t even know about the Blockchain that you’re talking about here.

So, that’s why we deserve better leaders that will do the right thing. Although I am not saying that Blockchain will solve our problems, it will only make things easier, other things are the left to us.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did bitcoin lose its value? on: October 22, 2020, 03:49:18 PM
It will take a long time before bitcoin can become a currency.
Governments do not like bitcoin because they cannot regulate it, and bitcoin itself remains limited. I think that before bitcoin solves the problem of speed and transaction fees, bitcoin is very difficult to be a currency.
Whether Bitcoin is a currency or not, it doesn’t stop the price worth from increasing (and going down sometimes). And moreover, I don’t think we the people should be forcing the government into cryptocurrency, because we already are aware of the fact that the government likes to control everything they see, so it’s best that we just put more of the focus on getting more people and more businesses to accept Bitcoin, and so that people can make use of it when they want to.

It shouldn’t be something that has to do with the government, they should be minding their own business please, we don’t need them here. Thanks.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 21, 2020, 06:49:29 PM
I might read TOS but more like skim through it, I think its more important to subscribe to the main forum thread for that site and any other feedback threads and see discussion of any particular sticking point in usage or rules like this.    Most often I'll sign upto a site but wait later for it to be more established rather then relying on it immediately for anything important or significant use, sometimes the lesser quality, flaky or short term sites become obvious in their intent over time.   My ability to decipher lawyer speak is not something I'd lean on to save me from alot of mistakes.
Same here I skip playing on website platforms and once they are established and have a good reputation going on then I can play there. It is more a case of "why should I risk" with new casinos because even if the TOS are transparent and good still the casino can cheat you.

Seeing the poll right now seems that 16 out of 34 users are not reading the Terms of Service of a gambling site which is I think is dangerous for them since you didn't know which agreement you accepted since I know that once you created an account you already accepted their terms and conditions maybe including asking for a KYC.
The truth is the poll might be even more one sided towards the NO if people are being honest because really who would read the long Terms & Conditions set by the gambling house? I personally don't read them all but I do visit it once to find if any anomaly exists and if there are ID proofs needed by the house to make my withdrawals.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap isn't safe for newbies who don't want to learn on: October 21, 2020, 10:52:06 AM
It’s not Coinmarketcap's job to tell you whether a project is scam or not, their work is just to be used as a price reference and nothing else. So if any newbie is going to Coinmarketcap is going to the website to choose a coin to invest their money, then they are making a mistake because even fake/scam projects can be on the list.

Anyone that’s looking for tokens should go the right places, you can read articles on Medium, and crypto review sites, they will be more helpful. They should be free to drop their questions on this forum and learn what they don’t know.
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will replace oil and Gold on: October 20, 2020, 06:13:59 PM
No there, I don’t see it that there is going to be any replacement, although as the world keeps growing there are some changes that has been happening and a lot of things that are being powered by oil are now becoming electrical and less and less things now have to rely on the oil. Things are basically changing, and a similar situation for gold.

But, that doesn’t really mean that investments will now be going into Bitcoin just because of this, but a small percentage of their money will. It’s just like the company that invested 1 percent of its total assets in Bitcoin which is around $50 million or so. They will be investing in Bitcoin, they are having interest, but there are also other investments they will be going for.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin start Backing USA dollar on: October 20, 2020, 12:43:28 PM
The USA dollar need good backer.

The Bitcoin is perfect to backing Up USA dollar.
That Can Work like real fractional reserve.
I think 2021 year the dollar Will be backed by BTC
BTC? No I am not believing that the government is going to be doing that. It’s true that they may be having other plans , before this time there has been some talks that the government might unveil the Fedcoin and through this Fedcoin they are going to be able to make lots of money from it. But this BTC part? Nah it’s not something that seems possible to me.

Ironically, Bitcoin is only attractive to a lot of Bitcoin owners-- probably even the majority-- because of its price in USD or other fiat. I guess it is an undeniable fact that a lot of people who flocked to Bitcoin are essentially investors. If, for example, Bitcoin's USD equivalent would fall to, say $2,000, they would be extremely disappointed even if the reality is that their number of Bitcoins are intact. They would suddenly forget that 1BTC is 1BTC still and that the supply is still very much limited and so on.
Nobody really cares how much of BTC they are holding, whether it is 1 BTC or not, they are just more into how much it is worth in dollars. If someone is holding 1BTC that they got at $2000 and it falls to $500, they are definitely going to be so worried for sure. It’s been like that since the start, it’s just the USD worth that’s attracting some of them.
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: October 20, 2020, 10:47:18 AM
People’s interest is growing on steady. Haven’t you noticed that it’s not just individuals this time around, but companies too are getting on-board, and they are investing millions of dollars in mainly BTC. And as a day trader you will be trading on a steady no matter which direction the asset is heading to.

The situation of the normal person is very tragedy and it will improve their trading when we invest some huge amount in trading. Pandemic disturbed lots of middle-class people, which they cannot able to manage their finances for feeding themselves and it is impossible for them to trade in the current situation . We are seeing very huge down trend in the market and it will not help them to make profits.
Day Trading shouldn’t be a ground for anyone who doesn’t have enough finance to feed themselves, because you’re not going to have enough finance to trade. In trading you’re taking risks, and your main is plan is to win and make profit, but there is no guarantee for that since you’re here to take risks. So, what if you take that risk and the money vanishes due to lose, what are you going to do? Before you day-trade you have to know what you’re doing and have enough finance.
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rather learn to trade by yourself on: October 19, 2020, 09:00:22 PM
I have never given anybody my money to trade for me before, no matter how good they claim to be.
I have received several messages in the past from people who are claiming to be very good at trading and claim that if I should invest the money in their hands they are going to use it to make lots of money for me.

I never trusted any of them. Even if I have no skills in trading, I would just go with HODL and not stress my mind by giving my money to people I don’t trust. At the end you will start hearing different stories about your money.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Supply Growth Has Never Been As High As It Is Today on: October 19, 2020, 08:12:26 PM
The Inflation is bound to affect not only the people but the country as a whole , but I do believe it's going to be worse for the nations who rely on import, even of basic things like flour and vegetables.
This is my major concern about my country, I expect more from them. We have some mineral resources, we have so many things, but I don’t know why it is difficult for our government to strengthen those areas that will benefit economy. There are things we have naturally, but the government will still choose to import them, such a disgrace.

Instead of importing such things that we already have, why don’t they set up funds to support Businesses that are focused on those areas. That way we wouldn’t have to be importing, rather we export.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would deflation economy give defi a boost? on: October 19, 2020, 04:56:56 PM
Talking about that second point: coins that are having a decreasing supply due to the ones that are being burnt, I have not really understood what that is all about. Maybe it can lead to the price of the token increasing, since burning most of the tokens will leave a few and the worth of the few remaining tokens will be increasing. But after they are done burning off most of the tokens and only a few are left, so will they continue burning or what?

I just don’t get this idea because I have not really looked into it, I am mostly all about old coins and all that, hardly get the time to look at new ones.

199  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries on: October 17, 2020, 07:13:28 PM
Yes, I have known about this Microstrategy and Galaxy digital holding. Then it was today that I saw news of Square INC saying that they have invested in bitcoin. Truth is a lot of institutions are becoming interested in bitcoin and as time goes a lot of them are buying and investing in Bitcoin.

There might still be some of them that we don’t know, because they have not come out to say that they have invested in Bitcoin. Although I am not really sure about this, but it can still be possible, because you can’t really tell who is investing in cryptocurrency unless they say so.
200  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Adoption: A Breakthrough? on: October 17, 2020, 06:29:16 PM
As for the Binance card, if they are going to do things as you have said here, by making the card to be cheap, then it’s sure going to be a winner. If it’s not going to be like that, then it’s probably going to be ending up like other cards there are like BitPay, and the rest of them.

Although I would say that they are usable in terms daily shopping routine, because they are issued by MasterCard and Visa, so where ever these two cards can be accepted you can always make use of the cryptocurrency cards. Even ATM, if the ATM has the logos on it, you can make use of those cards for withdrawal.
