221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 19, 2019, 06:02:23 PM
I do, sometimes... Like paying bills and etc but it's a rare case because it's more convenient to use fiat. I barely see people paying with crypto. Bitcoin is like my source of extra income but it's hard to use bitcoin directly in buying things. We still need more mass adoption for us to achieve that scenario.
The reason why we just think that it is more convenient is because the payment has to do with an online thing and that is still the main challenge of cryptocurrency that I see because I don’t know who those that are not technologically inclined will be able to cope with bitcoin or will be able to pay with it, but if we look at the payment process itself, I think that it is going to be a little bit more convenient than using fiat if it as to do with payment online or cross bother.

Making payment across bother is one of the greatest things that cryptocurrency as ever done for me, which I think that the cost of transacting business across the bother with the two of them can really not be compared at all. Crypto payment is quite faster and even cheaper to me.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: finding investors on: November 18, 2019, 06:18:59 PM
for now we can say that investors are tired looking for new project that will make them rich, they are tired for those scams that's lurking all over the crypto world, but if we have proven first that your project is worth investing at, then for sure investors will follow you.
I don't think they are necessarily tired of scams, but more so tired of the bear market within crypto.... almost every crypto chart has been trending down for nearly two years now, and that's something they don't want to get into.

Bitcoin's parabolic rise to $14k this year hasn't changed anything in the grand scheme of things because it technically is just a lower high. What will the next lower high be? $10k? $8k? It's not looking very promising anymore.
We the new generation of bitcoin users gives up easily because if not so, I don’t think that you will be having this statement of bitcoin not looking promising anymore as you have forgotten too that bitcoin started 10 years ago, and when it started, it did not even get support as it got no, and yet, it was able to find its way up amidst all the critics and amidst all the manipulation then. Majority of us too just barely knew bitcoin about some years back and we are already giving up on bitcoin because the price dumps form $14k.

I still see bitcoin looking so promising and I believe that in future, the value will surely be greater than what it is now that this present value will be like $1 to the value it would increase to in future when there is going to be full adoption, so we should not give up.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 05:58:31 AM
In my country, I see many sites that are Bitcoin ponzi and scams. These thrive because the police put in little effort in tacking them. I like the awareness being created by the Indian police. What is the awareness level of law enforcement about crypto in your country? If All Police Officers are Trained in Crypto... https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/indian-police-train-officers-on-cryptocurrency/
The police in my country are so uninformed that even if I am into legal cryptocurrency, they might still take me for a scammer when they see any suspicious thing on my gadget because in my country, we have some guys that are duping some of these innocent women for relationship purpose and taking advantage of them by collecting their fund, so they have a legal unit that is set up to monitor any suspicious transaction and also have the right to stop and ask any individual they feel is questionable through his character or look, so anyone they see with cryptocurrency wallet or sites related to it may even be taken as a scammer too, that shows how well uninformed that they are. I don’t have any issue with law enforcement agents acting against the abuse of cryptocurrency, but I hope they don’t harass the innocent ones in the process also.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: November 18, 2019, 04:56:31 AM
When it comes to money people like trying out things the way they see fit, try first learn later is the rules of newbies and thats why they always get scammed easily, HYIP, Pyramid Scheme, as dangerous and alarming these two are people still join them till date, both crypto and internet is not the evil here, people are to be blame for what happened to them

From every decision we make, there is a risk that we will bear. It is true that we have to do research before deciding to invest because without knowing in detail what we are investing, then we will bear the loss
Then you have to tell the house exactly what the criteria that you use in selecting this product during research because we make it sound like the research is so easy and as if those who are falling victim of these scam projects are not doing research. I know that we have some ignorant people that are very blind to see some of these warnings and advice which they chose some of these projects randomly and based on hype, but it is not everyone that is that ignorant.

There are many people that will do research and even verify the team, but at the end of the project, they still will not make it, and if you look at the style that these people use right now to scamming, they don’t just take money from you and then disappear, they even enter exchange and then leave the project to rotten without further development.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is True Decentralization a Myth? on: November 18, 2019, 04:20:08 AM
I believe that we have over 200 million users of cryptocurrency, and believe me that not everyone really understand what decentralization is all about, some of them just know that people are using crypto, while some of them are just more concerned about the use if it for investment whether it is a decentralized project or centralized project.

Very few people that are really more concerned about decentralization will really not care much about this project because their name already said it all, it has already said what they intend giving to the public, and people like me will not even look back into the project to see what they have to offer because I personally already have a little doubt about the project and its future growth.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DX token ranked top 55 on CMC on: November 17, 2019, 08:21:20 PM
Do you still find it hard to believe?

Even if I won't add any more value to you, at least many have said thank you OP for letting me know about Dxchain. hehehe.

Enjoy while it lasts.
I find it really hard to believe and I don’t think this is an organic pump because dxchain to me has really lost value for a long time now and it is among the coins that I have erased from my mind. How is it possible for a project that does not have much working project to make the list just like that?

I think that this is just a trap that is set for some investors and it will be bad if they fall for it, there are better project that they can invest in if they want and these are the top 100 coins in the market and even at that too, we still have to check the project very well, if anyone just pick project from top 100 and picked project like this dx chain, the person will just be adding peeper to an injury that is already trying to heal. We don’t need to add more of projects like this again.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: November 17, 2019, 04:29:28 PM
What preparations do you make to see the coins to be pumped?
Are you going to wait for a higher upward trend or choose to sell when you have a chance?
I have a goal set already for every of my investment and I will not make that same mistake that I made in the last all time high of bitcoin when I had to sell after reaching some certain level and I was waiting for it to get to an higher trend, but only for me to get a dump while waiting for the higher trend, so right now, I will just sell y investment when I see that it has reached a level that I am satisfied it and not that all time high peak.

I am watching bitcoin now, it is our believe that the next bull run will make bitcoin value cross over to $30k, so in as much as it is my desire to wait for it to get to that, I will still make sure that I see certain percentage of my coin when it gets to $25k and that is my main target for my bitcoin investment while I will do same for other altcoins also.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to use Cryptocurrencies in China? on: November 17, 2019, 03:10:42 PM
Recently, I heard that China banned holding cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency transactions, so does that mean that having cryptocurrency in China would be a criminal offense? Moreover, why create such a ban in the first place?
Those might just be rumors or someone must have blown some action of china out of proportion. It is true that at the initial stage, china was not completely in support of cryptocurrency, but that does not mean that they have made it a criminal offense, the action they took was to look for a way to actually control it but trying to ban miners from mining cryptocurrency, but are they not the same people that have now finally declared a little bit of support for blockchain and then cancel their plan to ban mining.

They might not have fully supported it but that does not mean that at the same time they are going to make it like a criminal offense for those that are using it. The first thing they did as to make their stand known of not giving support yet.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment on: November 17, 2019, 06:44:31 AM
It is stupidity to see such advice and also follow the advice when they are not kids because I believe that anyone that have started earning from a job is no longer a kid. When we talk about diversifying, diversifying does not mean that we should only make cryptocurrency the main focus of investment alone and it will not be wise to be taking all the savings that we are getting from our physical jobs or assets into bitcoin alone.

There is still many more investment other than bitcoin that we can put our money into. Bitcoin is a very good investment, but we also need to understand how volatile it is and we should be careful the way we pump our money into it. As regards investment for bitcoin, it is bets that we just only separate a little portion of our income every month to be saving into the bitcoin wallet and not everything that we get.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of tokens on: November 17, 2019, 06:08:23 AM
That is more than enough, as an investor you do not need to be fooled by scammers for a very long time as long as they can deceive you long enough for you to invest your money with them then they have accomplished their mission, scammers are not here in this market to develop anything they are here only to steal money from people and while it will only take an investor one scam to become a lot more careful that scam can be enough to lose all your money.
But this is not a good thing at all and I really do not know what can be done about this because most investors are now using that perspective to also judge virtually all the projects that is in the market, and even if you have a genuine intention now about a project, you will not find any investor to put money into the project and as a result of this, the ICO or toke market is gradually dyeing and leaving us with the already existing tokens, for the already existing tokens, only the top coins are worth investing in because most of the other tokens have developers that are not very much serious about their own project too and they might have even abandoned it.

Now, this is hurting bounty hunters so much as there are no much campaigns again in the market.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BTC TOUCHES 100K ? on: November 16, 2019, 05:09:01 PM
Bitcoin has not even gotten to 10 percent of your prediction and you can already see that most coins are already dumping like they there is no tomorrow and infact some of them are already going to zero, and if bitcoin reaches that $100k, it must have dominated the market to the extent that those ones that has already turned zero will surely just disappear.

The only good thing about bitcoin reaching that $100k is that moist of the top altcoins, especially the ones that are within the limit if top 50 will raise up to 5x and we can be able to get enough benefit from those ones too. Therefore the rise of bitcoin will favor us on our bitcoin investment and top 50 coins, while other coins will definitely die from the market and we will never recover our investment in them again.

In my country I don't think the police are well informed about cryptocurrencies. They are very stupid and the way act when they see people that are making use of cryptocurrencies you will know that they are so dumb. Another thing is that there is another problem that we are currently having and police are now linking crypto with the same people, funny case and a long story.

It's very good that police officers should be educated concerning cryptocurrencies, that way they wouldn't be misbehaving. And the government should let people know whether Bitcoin is legal or illegal in their country and police should be taking actions based on that.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly City on: November 16, 2019, 03:29:12 PM
I don't know if you're following Jack, CEo of Twitter? Lately he's been to Nigeria, and one of his reasons he went there was about bitcoin. And from what I've got to know, that country is friendly to bitcoin, people that are living there are freely making use of Bitcoin without having any problem with the government, and cryptocurrency keeps growing there.

I believe that would be the same for some other countries in Africa, there will be lots of them that are friendly with bitcoin and we just don't know it yet. And not only Africa, there are lots of countries that are accepting cryptocurrency and users have no problem with it. So, these countries you have mentioned here are not the only ones that are allowing their citizens to make use of cryptocurrency.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Build yourself a solid portfolio with good projects on: November 16, 2019, 12:32:16 PM
A good crypto project is enough to change one's life so why not take the chances?all i keep doing is making sure i get a share hold of very good coins or tokens with real use case and yes i did have many coins but i believe that a good crypto project is all we need. Am I doing the right thing?
But it is very difficult to choose the life changing coins. Every year we have few new coins in the top 100 but who can really predict which coin is going to be in this list? I would tell that it is a luck and not a skill.  Cool
Choosing good coins has no guarantee too, even very good coins can end up in a dustbin, its a risky and most times its about how lucky you are even after you do thorough researches, goodluck
This is not gambling and I don't think project should be based on luck, they should be based in reality and assurance, the reason why I would not put my money In gambling and out it in a project is because there is an assurance that my money will grow in the future, and the best way to see to this is when I invest in project that are very good, and when you talk about good project, what qualifies them as a good project is because they will never dump at any point, any project that you see end up in the dustbin was never a good project because a project with a real working product will continuously grow as people accept it and as people makes use of their product from time to time. Bitcoin and Ethereum have shown to be a very good project for the many years they have stayed in the market.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an expert tell me how to identify a shitcoin (example: Insight Chain) on: November 16, 2019, 11:43:19 AM
Must do an analysis for the whole project and the team that they display on the website. Social media will always be active and provide the latest information about the project being built. InsightChain is still running according to the Roadmap and Twitter is still active. Already listing on DragonEX with a large volume and on Livecoin.
Keep a close eye on prices on the exchange if there are pump and dump practices.
According to the road map! That is exactly what I usually capitalize on when I am looking for projects that is worth investing on. And talking about roadmap, it means that we are dealing with projects that are already established because that is the only way that we can know if the project is working along with the roadmap of the whitepaper that was released and promised to their investor.

I have personally made my own decision never to invest in a project that is just coming as new project except it is a project that I can really vouch for because new projects are very difficult to really know their intention, so I don’t really follow their whitepaper from the beginning until the project has gone to an advanced stage where we can verify the activities of the project team.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes a Successful Crypto on: November 15, 2019, 07:05:21 PM
Two things are very important to make a project successful, one is the idea of real use case and working product backing the project or coins, the second is professionalism of teams which i think is affecting many new projects today
You are just too much, and that is the base of a successful project, any project without those two things will never go far. Even if the project has a very great team, and the idea of the project is not one that can move the market, it will be impossible for them to be able to get people’s attention.

For anyone to really get people's attention, the project product must be a solid one, and the team must be a team that is quite much responsible. When I decide to choose any project, the base of my research is to really analyze the product first, and then even ask myself if I would ever buy it, then, I think of looking at the team, if they will have that strength to actually push for the project.

If any investor can get these two things right from their investment, I don’t think they should have any portfolio of shit coins.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment on: November 15, 2019, 06:18:24 PM
You already said it all -- you should not invest all your money in one basket or if it breaks all the eggs you have in that basket is going to break. Investing in Bitcoin is not a must, there are other businesses that are far much better than investing in bitcoin.

Yes, there are people who invest in Bitcoin and it works out for them and there are still people that will invest and end up losers, yes I have seen a lot of them, although you never get to hear their story, because all you hear is the story of those few that luckily made millions of dollars from bitcoin. You don't hear those that lost everything, including those that lost during the bull run. So, before you invest in any business you should first of all know whether it's going to work out for you, take time out and learn about it. Don't do things just because others are doing it, it might not work for you.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 15, 2019, 05:47:17 AM
Full article: https://www.forrestvisions.com/blog/people-are-underutilizing-bitcoin

People need to start accepting Bitcoin and keeping it, not converting it.

If you think of Bitcoin as just a virtual placeholder for fiat currency, stable coins will be the future and Bitcoin will slowly fade away.

Thoughts?
What you have said is good but it is not possible. No matter how much you try to hold bitcoin, there will be a time you will still need that money you have stored in your wallet and you will have to withdraw it because Bitcoin is not a currency and you can't use it to solve most needs. And another reason why some people will not hold bitcoin is that it is volatile and holding it you might lose value for your money.

If it was widely accepted and there are lots of people making use of it and can as well be used locally, then that would have been the best.
239  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: November 15, 2019, 04:39:13 AM
I don't know for sure, but I have always been interested in knowing how things will turn out to be if companies will do things like this and avoid making use of fiat and switching to cryptocurrency to avoid paying tax. The way I see it, I think that things will turn out pretty bad and that will cause the government to be serious about eliminating cryptocurrency for good when they see that nobody is paying the tax as they should anymore. Or maybe if there is a way, they might be able to subject crypto users to pay their taxes.

But the way I see it, I think that will only be possible if they are making use of centralized exchanges and wallets that collects information about users so that they can be traced. If not that way, I don't see how it can be possible with other wallets that decentralized.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: November 15, 2019, 04:07:34 AM
I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value.

When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers.
Lol, did you meet McAfee face to face before he told you that or just one of his wild speculations? This is not the first time I'm seeing people predict big prices for crypto. Someone once predicted that the price of Bitcoin will reach $100k before December of this year, 2019. A lot of people even believed that to be true. Now here we are, it's almost December and we are still at the rate of $9000+. The price is even struggling to stay above $9000 and might soon drop back to $8000.

If you don't want to make mistakes that you will end up regretting later, I will advise you to stop believing what these people have to say and focus on your own. If you want to invest, wait for the perfect time when the price is low (that's during bear trend) and you can invest and hold for the long term. If you know how to day trade you can as well do that to earn daily.
