761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What is the current minimum BTC transaction fee? on: August 31, 2017, 06:02:21 AM
I want to send 0,01 BTC from blockchain.info to Poloniex. What is the minimum fee I can use? This site bitcoinfees.21.co says that it should be enough to use 21 sat/b and get transaction in 9 hours. But I've heard that there is a minimum total sat size (around 5460) to prevent dust transfers. Please advice.
I actually don’t know what it is. I’ve been able to make transactions with 50sat/b though it took almost 18 hours to get confirmed. I was scared that I had lost the money, or it was not going to be confirmed
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin: $100K in 2021? on: August 31, 2017, 05:24:38 AM
Quote
Harvard academic and bitcoin investor Dennis Porto believes that, given a few years, it will soar far higher than either of those predictions. In an interview with Business Insider UK, Porto explained that the bitcoin price could reach $100,000 per coin in February 2021 if it follows Moore’s Law, one of the so-called “golden rules of digital technology.”

According to Porto, rapidly growing technologies have a doubling time, meaning that their effectiveness doubles within a consistent, repeatable timeframe. Traditionally, Moore’s law has been applied to computing technology, but Porto says that the bitcoin price has thus far followed the trend by more or less doubling every eight months throughout its history.

Assuming bitcoin continues to follow this golden rule in the near-term, Porto anticipates the bitcoin price will extend beyond $100,000 by February 2021. Using the current BTC supply for simplicity’s sake, this would give bitcoin a market cap of about $1.65 trillion. Needless to say, a $100,000 bitcoin price would thrill today’s investors, assuming they have the fortitude to resist the temptation to sell them.

Source here (the full newsarticle).

I am posting a part of this article here because I am sure that many would be excited to hear about this. So there is a basis for the doubling of value for Bitcoin and Mr. Porto refer to it as the Moore's Law. I am sure that many Bitcoin holders would be happy to know that in 2021 the value can be so high. This can embolden people to hold to their coin and to add more Bitcoin to their arsenal. Never give in to the temptation of selling since the present value is just actually the tip of the iceberg.

That’s a very huge one though but its going to only happen if and only if some things are put in place if there is no interference in the market by nations or big companies then we can be sure its reaching there
763  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: August 30, 2017, 09:03:23 AM
Trading is risky for everyone and I think we should not take it lightly anyway. Trading can earn you huge profit but at the same time by one single move, you can go bankrupt. Yep! Indeed beginners should learn trading with small amount and never directly jump to trade with large amounts.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: August 30, 2017, 06:34:54 AM
It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

Its not possible and even if its possible it would take long, its going to be a fierce battle between banks and bitcoin wallet owners because they won’t want a new invention to put them out of market.
765  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best coin to buy today? on: August 30, 2017, 05:57:58 AM
What is the best coin to buy today?  So many good coins.. sometimes I have hard time thinking what's the best coin to buy.
Its presently bitcoin. Bitcoin is well recognized and has been in the game for a longer time than others. It has gone through a lot of issues(problems) but it always comes out stronger than it was before the issue
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I could be making big bucks if there was a full node reward on: August 30, 2017, 04:55:09 AM
I run a full node, selflessly helping the Bitcoin network verify and confirm transactions, unlike you selfish pricks who use my machine to confirm your transactions and give me nothing in return.

I was just thinking today how much money I would make if there was a verification fee. If people paid an average verification fee of $1 per transaction and there are about 2000 transactions in each block and one block is formed every ten minutes and there are about 10,000 full nodes such as myself sharing the fee, then I would have an income of:

$1 * 2000 * 6 * 24 / 10000 = $28.80 per day

So, that would pay for dinner every day at a restaurant.

I hope you all recognize the serious flaw in the current protocol that results in me not getting paid for dinner every day.

Lol, you decided to take the task upon yourself why complain. If the job isn’t paying much then quit there are lots of better paying jobs out there, you should check them out and find better ones rather than complain of low pay
767  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: August 30, 2017, 04:23:11 AM
I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

While holding bitcoin for a long time might be a reasonable idea, it is also a very risky one as you can lose a lot of money if the market should ever crash, you should only do this after lot of research.
768  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 30, 2017, 03:28:08 AM
Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

Crptocurrency can surely become more accepted for transactions than fiat or credit card, but no matter what happens people would still prefer to carry out physical cash transactions.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: August 30, 2017, 02:51:10 AM
Bitcoin has become a new power in the world of money as we all know that all sides deal with it so it has to survive until it become the powerful source of life . So what it is difference between bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? and why Bitcoin has become powerful among other currencies and cryptocurrencies  ?

Firstly ,let us define bitcoin by defining cryptocurrency briefly then pass to make a contrasts between Bitcoin ,Dogecoin and litecoin .
We hear always that bitcoin is the money of the future .this expectation can be taken seriousely when we see bitcoin nowadays and how much transactions executed per day which is surprising . we can say that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency is a money which is not traditional rather it is digital or numerical which works electronically ; the most common cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin , Dogecoin and litecoin and bitcoin has something special in contrast to others and this specialty is represented by the number of transcations made per day and its volume, so bitcoin and litecoin and dogecoin differ in their volumes which will interpret to us that bitcoin has power nowadays.

In fact bitcoin is increasing exponentially in volume and numbers of transactions which will get us to the hell of thinking that bitcoin may take the lead of other cryptocurrencies if we don't say that it will take the lead of traditional currencies.because it has power which can fortify its presence in today world.
Bitcoin is a powerful form of money because of the fact that it obeys the rule of demand and supply diligently without any form of cheating. The value is increasing daily because there are now lot of people who need the currency for various reasons.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your children a favour and save bitcoin NOW on: August 29, 2017, 12:52:05 PM
Why not it seems like a good choice to save for our future even if its not bitcoin Fiat could also be a good way.
Even if we still don't have a kid right now let's try to save for future expenses .

Whenever saving bitcoin was a good choice, especially if we are talking about the future of our kids. while waiting for the future, the price value of bitcoin is also moving towards going to more than 10,000$ which is a good thing to hold our coins in a long term isn't right?
If someone is really concerned about his kids' future, he must hold on bitcoins for long. If he cannot or does not want to earn anymore bitcoins, even then he can give his children a cherished future by saving the present amount. This fact is crystal clear that BTCs price will be 10k dollars within next three years.
771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: August 29, 2017, 08:06:23 AM
I just read on Btcjam blog that they are closing down: https://blog.btcjam.com/2017/05/25/btcjam-is-closing/, now I am just wondering if big players in thebitcoin industry are closing down, is there any future for bitcoin really.

I came to know about bitcoin through btcjam when i was introduced there to borrow. Eve in this forum, looks most signature campaigns might close down because of the ever rising price of bitcoin. Most of them have reduced their payout amounts for posting by more than 50%. Is this a good sign or a bad sign for the bitcoin development?
Bitcoin has a very bright future, it is going to be the major currency in use in the nearest decade. It is going to dominate every transaction and every payment process that is going to be used online
772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: August 29, 2017, 07:31:22 AM

773  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin the new gold on: August 29, 2017, 06:21:01 AM
I've been analyzing all this happening with bitcoin and I'm coming to the following conclusion:

Before the most important asset was the gold in which everyone wanted and possessed, the governments were displacing gold with money a centralized asset which lost its value day by day.

Bitcoin is an asset that goes up in price for all the features that Satoshi thought and gave to it.

Today there are hundreds of altcoins and for sure there are some that are much better than bitcoin, and that these will be more used than bitcoin in the future, but bitcoin will be the king of all the new digital gold. People will use other altcoins as well, but the savings and investments will be in bitcoin, and this is for the simple reason that it was the first altcoin, and that people believed in it from its beginnings.

The bitcoin is here to stay and has created a revolution in the monetary system around the world. And we can be proud to be living the moment when this is happening.

Bitcoin is heading to $4,000 usd per coin and I am sure that the price of bitcoin in 3 years will be exponentially higher than is today.

In Bitcoin we trust, god bless you all

Bitcoin is now a very diamond like kind of gold, this is very awesome though because there is no diamond like kind of gold, but am just trying to explain its value, its like the combination of gold and diamond.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: August 29, 2017, 05:41:45 AM
Honestly I believe bitcoin is better since one you don't use your credit card so you don't loose you needed cash but instead your cash that you could easily earn back from mining. Plus, it's open to all ages unlike credit cards.
Bitcoin is better than conventional money because, firstly bitcoin can increase in value in a little time, while conventional money does not have that power. Bitcoin isn’t affected by environmental conditional while conventional money is.
775  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country would be the first to eliminate fiat and convert to crypto fully? on: August 29, 2017, 05:06:32 AM
there’s actually no country that’s going to accept bitcoin fully, it can only accept it as a major means of
alternative payment through some selected payment channels.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: May 10, 2016, 02:13:15 PM
When some habit induce your inner thoughts to earn more, then that habit will become as your addictions. Gambling is treated for making money by many gambler, so it becomes addictions to many gambler...
Yes, when a gambler is not gambling for making money, then the chances for getting addicted to gambling is very less. So gambling itself not addictive. Only gamblers make themselves addicted.
