'Load settings' fails on the .crx 0.2.52, fine on the tampermonkey 0.2.61.
Image upload:

Looks like that works Wink

EDIT: Do you pine to remove that stupid [Domain: noooooo.com] thing? Use http://whiskers75.com/bt++.css as your BT++ CSS file.

For some, "soon" is equivalent to "two more weeks™",
for the forum software, "soon" is more like "two more years" Grin

Ha, figured it may've been something along these lines.  Cheesy

Is there any updates on the avatar situation?

Yes I have an update. The update is that an update will be coming eventually.  Grin

It's been so long, might as well fork NodeBB and create some new forum software xD

How will you prevent JS injection, browser vulnerabilities, etc from getting the privkeys?
184  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: ANN: Generating a paper wallet with strong randomness (Python paperwal.py) on: December 11, 2013, 04:17:52 PM
Nice tool! I could mirror this on http://whiskers75.com if you like Wink

Got an .exe (for windows)? Or does that go against the philosophy? I liked your dice2key one.
The idea is that you don't use the most hackable OS in the world to make your keys ;P

speaking of being hacked..  Tongue
Yes? That was in October.
185  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [ANN] New bitcoin development mailing list on: December 11, 2013, 04:16:54 PM
This list is becoming cluttered, like the forum... :\

Does Gyft work in the UK? If so, I'll buy all my christmas presents with bitcoin Smiley
188  Other / Meta / Re: Authentication/2FA on: December 11, 2013, 06:27:00 AM
Yeah, would be a good idea, but I don't know how easily or how costly it would be to implement. I also heard the forum is getting new software soon, so hopefully maybe that will/or could be a feature.
This is borderline easy to implement.

Even mobile phone verification?
Mobile verification is stupid. Authy/Google Authenticator FTW.

Can Chrome users check whether "Add note" and "Toggle sig" work?
I think I fixed it but I'm not sure...
Please tell me how you use the script too (TamperMonkey or with the BT++ xpi extension)
I'm using the .crx. My password isn't working, can you PM me a new one? (the load settings responds with 'bad password', but voting works)
191  Other / Meta / Re: Want to change 'grabhive' to 'hivewallet' on: December 10, 2013, 06:46:55 PM
Theymos is being annoyingly unresponsive as of late. Angry
192  Other / Meta / Re: TOR unfriendly spam policies on: December 10, 2013, 06:46:23 PM
This is annoying. I use tor, and this is just a pointless rule...
193  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy, BTC-E and Hotmail account hacked on: December 09, 2013, 12:04:46 PM
Go and research Lastpass. It is TNO (Trust No-One) and PIE (Pre-Internet Encryption). The encrypted password vault is replicated to all the browsers you have it installed in, and the Lastpass servers. They cannot decrypt it. There is an iPhone App too. It's really an amazing product if you can be bothered to look.
No, but they could add custom JS, being non-open source.
Use KeePass.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is finished - and not because of the price.... on: December 09, 2013, 08:51:46 AM
Anyway, this thread is pretty much pointless. Locking.

If every user who wants to run a small website gets DDoS'd into the ground, I don't think the internet will catch on.

Tongue

FTFY

Safety in numbers, as time goes on, and bitcoin grows, this will become less and less of a problem.
Mind explaining why my home connection is currently under DDoS from an extortionist, then?

1) How do you know it is a DDOS attack?
2) What have these extornianists demanded?

Its much more likely someone has just planted a trojan on your machine, and its now under their control not yours.

You shouldn't be running a serious website from home. Doh.
Response to 1:

The extortionists didn't demand anything from me, but they have from another WhiskChat [now DDoS'd] user.

I don't run whiskchat from home, and I don't have a trojan.

If every bitcoiner who wants to run a small startup site gets DDoS'd into the ground, I don't think Bitcoin will catch on.
Just a suggestion from cat to cat: build a mousetrap.
I.e., if you want to do business, get DDoS-Protection. Wink
I kinda know that now, but when the hackers go for your home connection... Tongue
Where do they know your home connection from?
Hint, hint: use a VPN to hide your home IP, if you want to avoid something like that.

I think he's just trolling, most ISP's use dynamic IP's. All you would need to do is reconnect and the attacker no-longer knows your IP address.
Virgin Media is supposed to have dynamic IPs, but they never reallocate it ;P

I guess he's got the problem that his IP is visible on his chat site somewhere. If that's the case, he's got a problem.
The chat site? WhiskChat? *laughs* You do know that was the first to get DDoS'd? (also, it never showed IPs)

I don't know, and thanks for the tip - I now use Tor.

Theymos has mentioned that he has people working on a new forum, so changes to this one are unlikely.
198  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk++ script - v0.2.52 on: December 09, 2013, 08:16:38 AM
I may have found how to solve the Chrome problem
I didn't have the free time I wanted to have though so you'll have to wait a bit more

I thought about adding custom CSSs. BT++ would allow you to replace the current BT CSS with others. Those won't be from me, but I can host some on the server if some of you want to share yours. Thoughts?

My password doesn't work. Due to me using Tor, or...?
Hmm I don't know, give it a try without Tor

Add CSS! Pleasepleasepleaseplease!

Because bitcoin is still small, and so any business is going to be vulnerable. But, there are also advantages to being the first to market. But, if you haven't got the balls for it then, yes, you should probably get out.
Read: HOME connection.
