181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: January 26, 2018, 03:11:56 PM
The interesting thing is that op posted this on October 17th. At that day The price of one bitcoin has not even passed the level of 6K.
Now, three months later, we have seen an all time high of about 20K and the current price is still at over 10K.
To me that sounds like a decent developement. Despite all the things that made op worry.
182  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum after 5 years? on: January 26, 2018, 09:53:06 AM
I see bitcoin developing in a form of digital gold. Investors put their money in it, but it will not be used as payment anymore.
ETH in five years, I can imagine that it will be the new form of payment when you want to pay with a crypto currency in online shops.
What I can not tell is which of those two coins will increase more in price.
Could be bitcoin because of its limitation, could be ETH because of its practical use.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: January 26, 2018, 09:49:20 AM
Quitting the job only for trading that sounds a bit risky for me.
Of course it depends on your trading skills and the kind of job you would quit.
You must think as well about how difficult it would be to get a new job, in case you are not successful with trading.
There is only one person who can give you the answer to those questions, and that is you.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin? on: January 26, 2018, 09:39:03 AM
Maybe there are more women here than we think. Most bitcoin related things are done online. You never see your business partner.
I can imagine that women don't tell what gender they are and everybody assumes his contac is a man.
Many men have that tendency to look down at women. In order to be treated equally, giving no statement to ones gender might be one way to reach that aim.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long will it take for countries to regulate Cryptocurrencys ? on: January 26, 2018, 09:06:58 AM
I do not think that regulation is a bad thing for crypto currencies. Because what is regulated in most cases are the exchanges.
In contrary, I expect from a regulated market a slow and steady growth. And that is something I prefere more than the high volatility we have seen in the past.
By regulations bitcoin does not lose most of its qualities. The transactions still stay anonymous, and the limit will stay at 21 million bitcoins.
And there is  another thing: in an unregulated market the most ruthless players win. I don't like this idea!
186  Economy / Speculation / Re: I missed the boat :( on: January 26, 2018, 08:45:44 AM
Many people always search for the right moment to do something, but they entirely miss the fact that the perfect moment was right ahead of them all the time.
Because we have no idea in what direction bitcoin price will develope, the only important question is whether somebody wants to have bitcoins or not.
If you want coins, then buy. If not, then not. I think it really is that simple.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become centralized sometime in the future? on: January 25, 2018, 06:56:05 PM
One thing that centralizes bitcoin is the money you have to invest to make mining profitable.
Ordering a few hundred miners lowers the cost per miner. Using more electricity lowers the price per kilowatt hour.
Then you have to keep in mind that cooling becomes more and more important, so countries with a high temperature are not very suitable for building mining farms.
To me that leads to a concentration of big mining companies in a few countries.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: January 25, 2018, 05:52:53 PM
To me bitcoin is the trump card once I retire.
Hopefully my stack of coins will have grown in a way that I can afford the style of life I have always dreamed about.
The chances for that to happen are not so small, because I will see many halvings before my retirement day.
189  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: January 25, 2018, 04:29:03 PM
I think that social responsibility starts with paying taxes.
People do not have to open orphanages, it would be enough if everybody (that includes the big corporations) would pay their taxes.
In a working society, the welthy should contribute more in form of taxes than the poorer do.
Unfortunatelly it's mostly the other way round.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin need to be taxed? on: January 25, 2018, 04:22:30 PM
I think that there should be taxes when somebody earns money.
Paying taxes is benificial for the society we live in.
And when the public sees that people who work with crypto currencies contribute their part in the well being of the society, I think it will help getting even more acceptance.
191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ratings agencies soon to release crypto ratings. on: January 25, 2018, 04:19:04 PM
I think this is a good developement.
I suppose that a rating agencie is way more capable of gathering reliable data than me, for example.
One of the reasons wha the crypto market is so volatile is because we have no data.
If that gap could be filled, we might get away from volatility towards steady growth.
192  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How do I avoid tax on crypto on: January 25, 2018, 03:58:30 PM
The most important thing about crypto currencies what we can all do is to keep it legal.
There is already enough bad publicity in the media, I don't think the average user should start doing things on the boarder of legality with it.

The way how bitcoins are taxed differ in many countries. If it's not really clear, ask a local tax consultant.

193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash, when will it end? on: January 25, 2018, 02:40:05 PM
i don't think bitcoin got crashed. what happen in this a few weeks because the conditions of the market, and it will back to normal state again soon or little longer.
There is always saying a crash of bitcoin, we can't say that is. It happen that price has been suffering it's cheaper now, but it won't stay this long. Yes exactly, it will be back to normal as many users believes in bitcoin.

Right. Is it even a crash? 10k usd value? That's still a whole lot expensive by most of 2017 standards. Many just got stuck probably because they rode the bandwagon when btc was making an amazing run but if they keep cool, they'd eventually still get profit in probably a month or two

Absolutely my opinion: what crash?
I see the big picture and the price we had 2015/2016. From there to what we have now, that is an astonishing developement.
There are only a few weeks in the end of 2017 that brought bitcoin to a price that actually was not justified for one coin at that point.
Normalizing the price is not a crash.
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont sell below 11400! 12k coming! on: January 25, 2018, 02:08:09 PM
Giving a range of only 5% is not really much in the crypto business.
Predictions about bitcoin regarding its long way developement are tough, nearly impossible.
But when you give it short term 5% the guess is mostly right.

195  Economy / Economics / Re: do you really like crypto coin? on: January 25, 2018, 01:59:04 PM
I like crypto currencies as much as I do like money.
Because in the end, what crypto currencies are is a different form of money.
And money plays an important role in everybodys life.
I just try to be careful not to put it above everything else.
196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit again 20k USD on: January 25, 2018, 01:53:48 PM
At this ponit I would be more focused on the 10K level.
The general trend of bitcoin during the past month goes down, not up.
Personaly I think that the 10K we have at the moment is more than a good price for bitcoin.
I would not complain if we could stay in this area for several years.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: January 25, 2018, 09:16:55 AM
There are many things that concern the whole population of a country. Like infrastructure, or security.
And those things have to be managed from a central point.
In order to finance that, everybody must give a certain amount.
In the end, we all benefit from that.

198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: January 25, 2018, 07:45:46 AM
Every kind of person can use bitcoin, no matter what his intentions are.
The anonymous nature of bitcoin and other crypto currencies is of course a feature that criminals like. That is unfortunate, but something we can not deny it.
So I would assume that many criminals use crypto currencies.
But that does not mean that many users uf crypto currencies are criminals.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: stupid millionaire or risk to be Billionaire ? on: January 24, 2018, 05:50:48 PM
Actually being a millionair would do the trick for me. I do not see any difference in my life if I was a millionair or a billionair.
So If I would get the chance of earning that much money by selling my coins, I assume I would do that.
At a certain point you need to enjoy life.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much percentage of ones savings should invest in coins? on: January 24, 2018, 03:53:53 PM
i have some savings and want to invest in bitcoin. should i just input some pocket money or 10% or 50% of it or all in? i wont use the savings for a long long term. besides, if i lose all these money it wont effect my present life. advice please.

I would not invest more in risky things that I can afford to lose.
If somebody would ask me a number, I would say about ten, maybe 15%. Not more.
Losing such an amount is not nice, but it won't bring you close to a bankrupt either.
And when you look at the profit , you see that bitcoin price now is ten times higher than last year.
That would mean you could double your money in one year if things work fine, or lose 10% if things go really bad.
To me that sounds like a fair deal...
