Hey, great news! Glad he didn't pull any of these moves on you this week!

...

Give it a bone! All I can read from the screenshots is that the campaign manager wanted to pay you the Bitcoin and you now wage a retaliatory war. I've seen some bad campaign managers, but jeremypwr is certainly not (yet) one of them.
182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Question on: August 01, 2018, 04:12:18 PM
I also want to add, what would happen if someone won a large jackpot on day one? That could potentially wipe out your bankroll completely, and if you refuse to payout, you lose you're reputation and any chance of having a successful gambling site.

When launching a casino, the jackpot usually has a small size of lets say 1 BTC for each game and gets bigger with each game made. Thus, the starting capital for the jackpots can be well calculated. As a rule, 0.02 to 0.05% of the bet goes into the jackpot, depending on the casino's prize draw.  The longer it is not hit, the bigger it gets.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Question on: August 01, 2018, 01:38:46 PM
Running a casino needs a lot of background knowledge about the industry and how it all works. Alone to provide security and trust for the gamblers and customers of your casino. Since you are asking this fundamental question here, I assume that you do not have this knowledge. That's why I would stay away from it or look for a partner who knows how it works.
184  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasinoReviews.net - Cryptocurrecny casino review site since 2017 on: August 01, 2018, 01:31:31 PM
Who creates the reviews? Yourself or is there a job writer? And do you also write reviews at the request of the provider, more precisely for money?
I would be interested, as many review pages do so and therefore are not really trustworthy.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 01, 2018, 12:51:27 PM
The Byteball price is falling despite the good news. People who locking their coins for 12 months are very at risk.

I do not understand why all focus on the price. It is about the project and the opportunities it offers and not about how much the price is. Byteball is expanding the ways how you can use your coins step by step. If you believe you can buy more stuff with your Bytes in 12 months than now, then you should buy coins, not because you think you will be able to buy a yacht with your investment in some months  Wink
186  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-08-01] SIM Hijackers Steal Over $5 Million in Bitcoin in First Reported on: August 01, 2018, 12:34:36 PM
A 20-year old college student from Boston, Massachusetts was arrested in California earlier this month on charges of being part of a gang that hacked cellphone numbers before stealing over US$5 million in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Hey everyone!

So, we ran into a minor issue earlier with payment withdrawals @ Sportsbet.io, which has since been resolved  Wink

In order to prevent the same thing from occurring with your payments, please post in this thread a new Bitcoin deposit address (not a Bitcasino.io wallet).

I'll be getting your payments out shortly, so don't forget to post a new Bitcoin deposit address if you want to be paid for your work.

Check the Spreadsheet to make sure your Bitcoin deposit address is correct!

189  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-07-31] Bitwise CEO Still Hopeful For New Multi-Faceted Crypto ETF on: July 31, 2018, 12:47:51 PM
Last week, Bitwise, a San Francisco-based asset management firm, filed a proposition to the SEC, looking to launch a cryptocurrency index ETF. If approved by the heavy-handed regulatory body, investors would be able to invest in a basket of ten cryptocurrencies, which are a part of the firm’s fittingly named “Hold 10” index.

190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Statistics about Bitcoin Gambling? on: July 30, 2018, 07:08:50 PM
NLNico's website contains interesting information (total wagered, daily bets, total invested, etc) from different Bitcoin dice sites including alts. I know there's another website that compiles the stats of different Bitcoin gambling sites (not limited to dice) but I can't remember the exact name. I'll edit this if I can find them.

Edit : After a few minutes of searching I have some good news and bad news. Good news is that I found the site it's called TheBitcoinStrip. The bad news is that they took down the casino stats page.

Thanks for your effort!
NLNico's is exactly what I was looking for. Since it is a relatively new site, long term statistics about Bitcoin gambling usage is not provided.
Any further similar sites?

https://ethgasstation.info/index.php
https://etherscan.io/gastracker

These are very useful to calculate the gas price I made a lot of transactions today all went smoothly without any problem at the moment this network is in normal mode. No need to put too high fee there.

Thanks for the links. How can one calculate how much Gas is enough for a specific amount of ERC20 tokens? Suppose I want to transfer 5000 tokens, is the gas price different than if I were transferring 1 token?
193  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-07-28] VanEck Responds to SEC’s Bitcoin ETF Concerns In New Letter on: July 30, 2018, 12:00:51 PM
Money management firm VanEck has responded to the SEC’s concerns over bitcoin exchange-traded funds (bitcoin ETF) in a letter to the regulator made public on the agency’s website. Addressed to Dalia Blass, director of the SEC’s division of investment management, the letter tackles the five points of order from the SEC’s previous communication with the industry, namely: valuation, liquidity, custody, arbitrage, and potential manipulation.

194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook And Google Go back on Decisions as cryptos Fans React on: July 29, 2018, 04:47:59 PM
Sooner or later they will be forced to accept such advertising again. Facebook and Twitter have suffered severe setbacks in business development over the past week. The crypto area is a fast growing field worldwide. They will not miss this business, even though they might think they can do without it now. I have already deleted my Facebook profile.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: July 29, 2018, 04:42:26 PM
Today I bought my first XLM and they are still on exchange account. I'm wondering what wallet I should choose to store the coins locally. I am currenly using a Mac and Linux machine. Which leightweigt wallet(s) do you recommend for me? I also would welcome a purely online-based wallet if it is safe like MyEtherWallet for Eth.
U can use stellarport.io, stellarterm.com for desktop.
And mobile lobstr, interstellar
Take at look at stellar.org u can choose ur wallet

Thanks, I already took a look at stellar.org but the selection was kind of smashing. That is why I asked here. I will take a closer look a the wallets you've recommend.

Another question has arised. In the past, Stellar has distributed remaining coins to Bitcoin owners. Unfortunately I missed all those distributions. Are more those distributions planned in the future?

197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Statistics about Bitcoin Gambling? on: July 29, 2018, 04:07:50 PM
Are there any statistics on how gambling with Bitcoin (and crypto generally) develops? I would be interested if it increases or decreases. From time to time there are articles on media like Coindesk but I'm not sure if you can believe the data.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still dont have a good answer for Plan after the US dollar on: July 29, 2018, 04:04:57 PM
US dollar runs world economy. US Dollar is getting stronger year by year. With Donald Trump's "America First" it is US Dollar to the moon.

Bitcoin is people'e trust for a new system and an alternative asset. Bitcoin will be 3rd tier asset.

Certainly, Trump has strengthened the Dollar by its economic policy, while Europe, Japan and China are conducting monetary dumping (I say that as European). But the question is how long the financial markets - the actual corrective - still support the debt-based economic policy. Right now, Trump and the Dollar seem to be doing well. However, it is by no means certain that it has to go on like this. Markets are sometimes irrational, but so far they have regained rationality sooner or later, usually with big, quick crashes.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 29, 2018, 10:03:35 AM
it's because of node and network.
based on my understanding, right now the network is too crowded so they failed to send your token.
try to send your token a few hours later or next day, right now it's not recommended to send it.
except you raise your gas quite a lot(above standard ++) which are not worth it in my opinion.

Okay thanks, although the transaction is urgent I will try it again in a few hours. I probably have no other option. I just tried it even with 50k gas and it failed again.

As far as I know it is not the first time that such a situation is happening based on a Google search. Are there any plans of Ethereum developers to find a fix for that?

It is a mess. I have tried it two times today and everytime it failed again. I even tried 70k gas. Can I see somewhere how much gas I need to pay to send the transaction successfully? I mean something like https://bitcoinfees.earn.com for Bitcoins.
