1801  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC is in Action After Suing Binance, Here Comes Coinbase Exchange on: June 06, 2023, 04:31:44 PM
What else do you expect if they cannot target bitcoin because of its decentralization then they will be left with nothing than to go after the centralized exchanges, this should only serve a warning for some of us still using them, we shouldn't hodl our entire investment in them, they have in custody our private keys to unlock the locked coins in the blockchain which belongs to us, this time we should be getting ready for higher transaction fees coming from this exchanges for those that uses them because they will be left with no option than to fall back on their users.
1802  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why we kicked out cryptocurrency - CBN on: June 06, 2023, 04:25:41 PM
what i expects from them is to allow the banks continue with the transaction of bitcoin and disabled any other cryptocurrencies to be performed by thier banks except for exchanges and at our own risk.

That's a very brilliant suggestion you just made above because since Bitcoin is proven to be the only cryptocurrency with low volatility risk compared to altcoin, It will likely save a lot of persons who fall victim to most altcoin investment scams, while also acting as an alternative source of revenue to government from the little charges that will be charged by banks to execute Bitcoin transactions, far better than placing a ban which is still not stopping the usage of Bitcoin through the help of peer2peer exchanges.

I just wish to see likebtwo more prominent countries join in bitcoin adoption as a legal tender just to unveil others eyes to believe and adopt bitcoin as well, the fear the government have is the threat bitcoin could serve them because they were unable to make law or regulate it, then what has it profit them when they are not milking revenue from bitcoin because it's decentralized than for them to attack the network.
1803  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Male Dominated on: June 06, 2023, 04:18:10 PM
Bitcoin is free for anyone to adopt yet they still say it's because of the "patriarchy" that there's no females involved in bitcoin.BITCOIN IS
OPEN FOR EVERYONE AND ANYONE TO ADOPT..its not the men's fault that 0.0001% of women are interested in bitcoin.

Recently i think I've came across a thread as well talking about the few numbers of female participation in bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and the other inviting his sister to invest in bitcoin and start by introducing bitcoin basics to her, the fact here is that we cannot compare women roles being applicable in every general settings to be on same rate men are being involved as well, aside the fact that most women were tied to child upbringings from the homes.
1804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if social media apps start launching their own cryptocurrency? on: June 06, 2023, 04:12:22 PM
There's nothing bad in that as long as they have all that it takes to launch any, we have the history behind Dogecoin from one of the most recognized social media platforms developer, there are other coins we may not know about them as well but truly exist from the developers of one or two other social media we may not be familiar about, if they have the money, digital skills and the maintenance ability to finances the strength for it existance, why not, just that this doesn't make any difference from falling into wrong hands or not.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which campaign is better? Bounty campaign or Signature campaign? on: June 06, 2023, 04:06:07 PM
We are a bunch of ambitious folks on a mission to revolutionize the blockchain world. Our goal is to create a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that empowers individuals and organizations like never before. Together, we'll shape the future of blockchain technology!

We're planning a series of marketing activities, and we want your input on bounty campaigns and signature campaigns. Which one gets your heart racing? Which of these two campaigns do you think will work like magic for FireDAO within the Bitcointalk community and beyond? We trust your expertise, and we want our marketing efforts to align with your preferences and expectations.

Just from their names, the difference has already been mentioned, if you're interested in conducting a bounty campaign then you're making your payment in bounties but if you're interested in making payments in bitcoin then the best idea is on the signature campaign, you could now see that it's your choice and and preference especially the organization you will be managing under base on what they prefer to offer their campaign participants.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 06, 2023, 03:59:55 PM
In the past few days, PEPE, a new meme coin, has gained massive attention in the community. But I actually didn't understand what could be its major objective. Is there any reason to say this meme coin will work for the betterment of the entire crypto and Web3 realm?

Don't be misinformed, there's nothing strange with what you're seing happening with Pepecoin, it has always happens to some other coins in the past which started small but ended big, a good example is the Dogecoin, Ethereum and many others, receiving hypes from investors is not something that has been tricked or manipulated atimes, people also want to invest on something that will ve profitable and appreciable on the long run.

There is another new meme coin called SNEK, based on Cardano. What impact these meme coins will create in the crypto space?

As of Cardano i know it but am only hearing the snek you mentioned for the first time, they may actually share thesame network but do ensure you research well about many newly introduced coin before investing on them, they are just crypto projects whereby some may be unsuccessful while some may be successful.

I don't understand why meme coins such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are so famous and why do people invest in them, wondering about the future of meme coins.

They are reliable base on the research conducted on them, part of which is the liquidity, market cap, market volume, inventors, purpose or the project, market acceptance, and so many other features you have to looked into while accessing a coin.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: June 06, 2023, 03:17:58 PM
Regarding referral bonuses, I had experience with this site BC.GAME . I had shared the link via social media only one time and totally forgot about it . Six month's ago when I checked I saw that my total referral commission rewards shown as $30,900 . Without any difficulty I had withdrawn all the money. Neither there was wager restriction nor any question. You may say this site has changed my life.
Seriously I don't believe your story because making as much as $30,900 in six months without your knowledge is seriously impossible and to make such an amount in that space of time requires your input at some level and there is no. Why you can generate such an amount of commission just by sharing your referral links on social media and receiving such input?
You may have to share some detail such as your balance commission in the casino you mentioned.

There's nothing too possible or impossible when it comes to gambling, anything can happen, I will only agrees with you on this if OP is unable to present the evidence to his achievements, there are people that can go extra miles in other for them to achieve something, but what i think may be his challenge here is the lack of understanding the full details on the requirements for claiming wuch bonus, if he didn't meet up the required standard he will not be awarded his bonus, maybe he should go back to study their ToS and understand it better to know what he has been missing out.
1808  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: June 06, 2023, 02:56:40 PM
[I want to ask you what is the perfect thing to use for crediting an account instead of using a card to credit account many people will do things based on the way they understand it and the way they know it so if you have any means that they can use to fund the account or credit to the account you can educate them with your own opinion that is why we are here we are here to learn from each other and nothing that we don't know from each other

There are means you can engage to make payment without the use of your card or to perform any form of transaction without the use of the same card, you can make withdrawals or have cash with you then go to the banks to deposit the fund to the required destination, also things have been made more easier for us with the use of bitcoin in cryptocurrency through a p2p digital network, your privacy can be secured and you will be protected, the issue of the disagreement with the use of yiur card is not to make a mistake by giving your sensitive information about the card to a third party at the course.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: June 06, 2023, 02:19:44 PM
every person who is into gambling always need a bonus and if the person should choose or pick a ball or the person will be careful in Spain because you can spin and the get more money because it is just something of trying of your luck or your chance of getting whatever thing you want to get with a bonus
Not really because I don't always expect to get a bonus, especially if there are requirements that I can't fulfill. Not all bonuses come with easy terms, so we have to consider them before trying to get them. If you think you can meet the requirements before getting the bonus, you can try it and see if you manage to get the bonus or not. Many have tried to get bonuses but many have failed because they could not meet the specified requirements. This is why we must be wise in dealing with each bonus from the casino and not try to take it immediately if we do not know the terms.

You're right from this perspective, if one can consider the requirements for a bonus before enrollment would have been better because many would have started but couldn't complete the task for the eligibility as some criterials looked upon seems unaffordable by them, if we want fulfill the terms on each bonus then we have to create time in understanding the requirements and procedures, we should both enjoy the common interest of each other as you provide the casinos your own service they reward you back in appreciate with bonus.
1810  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: June 06, 2023, 01:43:52 PM
Gambling is a choice, it's you who'll decide whether you'll bet everything you have or not.

Yes, because we runs things and things don't run us, we have every right to fight for ourselves by not taking everything surrounding us in gambling for granted, bet when you needed to and pause when there's a need for taking break, enjoy the fun in it and do away with other distract that may comes in through gambling, focus your mind and don't be moved or pressurized, gambling is a choice and not by force.

People just don't know how to control themselves when they start winning. It's their choice and it's their consequences when they lose.

It's not that east to maintain a good self-control measure in gambling but one has to go for it, for the fact that you win doesn't mean you will continue winning that the day is already yours, this is just an assumption many work on and eventually loose everything at the course.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Casinos Should Do Survey From Time To Time To Assess You. on: June 06, 2023, 12:49:24 PM
Casinos may do survey from time to time but as a business, the survey will be something like "satisfaction level" of their players related to their services. This kind of survey might be needed to improve their service as they will know what is wanted by players and what is not wanted. However if we are talking about survey to asses players related to money to spend, I dont think casinos need to do it because it is player's responsibility. If it is about VPN, maybe a survey is needed because there are still many issues happened related to the use of VPN.

Do you even think that people have that time to waste on going through their whole process in survey, the only captivation that may draw the interest of gamblers to enroll on this is if there's a attached bonus given on every completed stage of surveys made, bit if nothing aside giving them reward they may not give it a positive take in going through the whole process and the funny part of it all is that it will now be a continuous one from time to time.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: June 06, 2023, 12:27:50 PM
Unfortunately I do not believe in hypnosis, but after seeing this movie "Hypnotic by Ben Affleck" I might have second thoughts because these movies are made based on research and possibilities in real life not always about CGI...

Someone lime me will definitely prefer using the money to employ a professional therapist to perform hypnosis for playing bets, maybe i could whine away little more times or get myself busy watching movies on that aspects, i must just apply wisdom in all things.

But if it got to a point of me having to see a physician because the gambling addiction was so bad, then why not because any help is better than no help at all, though I think these mental battles can only be won by one's  willingness to change and not others fighting it for you.

On an average level with adequate reasonings, why should someone wait till it all get over him like the marrow in the bone befoe finding a solution, the best practice or prevention is to ensure a more disciplined gambler's kind of lifestyle.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 06, 2023, 12:00:10 PM
The problem so far is that many gamblers cannot get lucky when playing gambling, causing them to experience defeat. And many of them are finally lured into using more money to try to win, even though it's not a good way for them. They are already tempted to continue playing gambling so they forget that gambling is just a game that should not be taken seriously.

Interestingly enough, not all gambler were able to understand this as a matter of fact, this ideology of repeated attempts till my luck comes will make no difference than continued losses, if a gambler is not careful, he will landed at a place where he couldn't find it convenient any longer for him to enjoy gambling because of his past experience while gambling, because gambling will always be tempting to them to play.

Only good self-control can save them from losing a lot of money so they can still enjoy gambling and stop before they lose a lot of money. And very few gamblers can indeed do it, while others will only lose more.

They can actually develop a mean to exercise self-control in gambling especially for those having more difficulties in this aspect, cut the game and cut the lost, avoid over gambling by setting other targets to keep your day busy, withdrawal method from such gambling enabling environment is as well a good option.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 06, 2023, 10:27:53 AM
Depression caused by gambling addiction and not having someone to turn to can cause suicide and this is what actually happens to the guy in the story he has a weak personality and he is secretive and an introvert.
Gambling addiction, depression, and having a weak character will contribute to suicide if only he can open up and there's someone he could talk to, this could have been prevented, so if you know someone who has a gambling addiction, do check his character if he can move on from big losses.

In his case he have the opportunity to make his decision but I want to believe he chose to die because those that he owe should have been the ones to be after his life when he will be unable to pay them back, if he had not killed himself, they may consider him andbpity him then sign an undertaking to repay badk his friend money, he would have engage in working or doing other business that can fetch him money to use to repay back, they would have seeve him enough lesson for taking such decision than killing himself, maybe everyone of us have once been in debt before either with big money involved or small money.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: June 06, 2023, 10:07:55 AM
I try as often as possible to remind myself to expect the worst while making plans for the best when gambling, it's not easy, I know, it's even more difficult as a newbie when you're on a consistent loss but Don give up, you can take sometime out to up your game and retry again.

The most important thing as a gambler is to start atleast from somewhere, there are many strategies we can adopt to enjoy gambling being an experience user or a newbie just learning, but we shouldn't be too focused on one direction only while gambling, we must check within and without to see for more opportunities, i newbie can perform well and an experienced gambler struggling to make any difference, what differentiate them both is the abilities they both possess, this is part of what is needed to make a good gambling experience when we started all well on the right ground in gambling.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: June 06, 2023, 09:51:55 AM
The casinos that charge withdrawal fees is not a bad thing nor should it be interpreted as something bad because what is done here is to try to understand that the casinos cannot be covering those expenses that are our own, of course there are some casinos that do they assume that expense and although I do not agree that casinos charge more than they should even if bitcoin rises in price, I think that casinos should implement alternating solutions to avoid this, perhaps they will set up a Bitcoin to USDT exchange to that a withdrawal can be made in usdt and it is not a fee problem, it has happened to me that I have had to gamble too much to be able to withdraw considering the fee.
I guess you know that Stake.com charges a very moderate fee and some even charge nothing at all. Those who rip off their customers are not the most reliable casinos either. Why would they have to charge excessive withdrawal fees when those fees actually should be much lower according to the network? Some even kept their fees steady and low when we had the fee explosion recently. I think it is a big promotional action because I also prefer platforms which have a fee policy that fits the actual network load instead of taking a big fat chunk of your own money for nothing.
The most trusted and reputable platforms will surely have lower fees as they can manage to earn revenue through their gambling services and don't need anything extra from their gamblers but some casinos that are relatively new and maybe don't have a very large user base will charge extra fees than what the network actually asks for and that goes to the casino revenue I believe.

Users obviously would prefer a platform that doesn't rip them off when they are trying to make a withdrawal, and even if the amount isn't very big, it at least is higher than what should be asked for, in such times, casinos that are asking for lower fees will surely get more popularity than normal times.

But don't be surprised that reverse is now the case of most gambling platforms where this is applicable, the bigger and most established gambling platforms charges more because they feels they have that reputation needed for them to be trusted and also that they need more finances to maintain this reputation they have built, yet we also have some newly established gambling platforms that keeps upto expectation and charges less.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 06, 2023, 08:19:17 AM
A tipster on one of the social media platforms advised his hundreds of followers that making money from sports betting is easier if they stop betting on European Football, which has just concluded, and focus on the Singaporean leagues, South American Leagues, and the Scandinavian leagues. Although some of his followers agreed that they've won some bets in those leagues, they also cautioned that there is a huge likelihood of match fixing occurring there as well. So everyone should be careful. I have never bet on those leagues as I am too careful. Can anyone share their experience with betting in these other leagues and make a comparison between betting there and betting in the Champions League, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie Do not mention match fixing(it has been earlier pointed out), but talk about which is easier to win in and how much you made in comparison.

Anyone has the right to choose the league he wishes to gamble with, as long as there money is involved, but we can also advise if they will adhere to it, in general terms no league is more more better than other in terms of the gambling winnings opportunities, bit we have league in categories as well and in other of preference, so i don't think one league increases the winning chances than the other in gambling.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: June 06, 2023, 07:53:05 AM
honestly some ads could be as weird as launching you into their content without even waiting for you to click on them, thry usually comes along while you're opening a website opened together, though I've also seen some YouTube ads that will demand you to skip them after 5 seconds which they would have advertised their content as well using your own data.

I actually do face such a challenge on a few sites I browse, and it becomes so difficult to browse efficiently in  such sites on mobile because the ads pop up and automatically open a site for the advertisement, like it does on my phone. Sometimes, too, if it's an app ads that pops up, it will automatically open the Play Store, totally distrusting what I am browsing. Some ads have a cancellation button after a few seconds when the advertisement completes, but some ads don't show a cancellation button at all, especially if you are operating from a mobile phone. If it's on Windows, the ads can automatically open up a new tab from your browser, and everything will also be visible, but on Android, some ad cancellation buttons are hidden.

Those websites are typically hosted on WordPress and often rely heavily on plugins, which can contribute to their erratic behavior. These plugins often contain JavaScript programs with conditional statements that prompt users to click certain elements, without which the website may not respond as intended. To counter this behavior, ad blockers are highly effective. I personally recommend using the Brave browser, as it is user-friendly and helps minimize unwanted gambling ads. However, you should know that certain websites may detect when your adblocker is active and restrict access to their content, they employ various signals to detect adblocker activity.

If i will need to visit a site then I don't need to necessarily have to go through their ads before approaching their website and i will take the effective use of ads blockers for use, i also make use of the brave browser om my device, i like the overal performance of the browser but the only issue with using brave is the hanging of a thing it does, you will just suddenly discover that the app is not working or pausing, i will now have to minimize to destop before navigating back onthe app then it continues, this has been common challenge with the browser because it freezes.
1819  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to the bitcoin rate if the global economy collapses in 2023? on: June 05, 2023, 03:31:04 PM
As we know that the Bitcoin community is spread globally and continues to increase, moreover the support of many companies and millionaires in the world so that the future of Bitcoin will continue to improve even though the economic conditions in 2023 will collapse, and it has happened but Bitcoin continues to grow.

Why bitcoin will remain unaffected is because it's not a central digital currency like their CBDC, bitcoin is decentralized and will not go down even if their financial fiat economy does, the network is digitally sustainable because it is decentralized and blockchain it operates on cannot be manipulated, rather the more their government controlled economy begin to suffer collapse the more the bitcoin network keeps getting stronger.
1820  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minepi real or fake? on: June 05, 2023, 03:09:34 PM
If the level of research you've conducted about minepi is not convincing enough then i will advise you don't waste your money on it, forget about what they have said to offer you on your investment or what had been advertised on their behalf, when you check for their enlistment on reputable platforms or exchanges and you couldn't find them in, try to stay aware, maybe they are just on the testnet level or approach and of it wasn't as expected the project and your investment gone, try to do your own research and be satisfied before investing.
