1021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: well thats aren't far from the truth on: August 16, 2023, 02:47:50 PM
so I was suggesting that at first to get merits by posting numbers...like 20+ posts getting 1 merit, 50+ 2 merits ..and so on.

Maybe if you had taken your time to read the requirements and the standard way of giving out merits, you won't make a suggestion of this kind to the community, this also shows that you have not read about the forum merit system well, though let me assume you're bringing a suggestion here, giving merit is strictly by quality post and not by quantity.

im not sure how it was before but now its not that easy to get at least 1 merit to begin.

I believe your target of coming here is not to get merits, the merit system was introduced to curb the spammers from growing in rank.

* i made this topic since I'm looking for a beginning in this forum i had only 24 posts but yet they are useful for others (I'm not the one to judge) but didn't get any yet .

You're yet to begin, haven't you seen a user profile with thousand of posts without any single merit? Not until you define what brought you here, you may not get merit or the opportunity to grow.

so i guess the admins should do a PLAN for newbies members to get to be at least MEMBERS

So spammers and scammers should also grow along with those that are serious with their contributions to the forum?

1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unit Logo System on: August 15, 2023, 06:55:15 PM
As others have stated, the logos are done very well and appear extremely professional. Good work by the graphic artist for sure. However, I have to wonder if so many logos are needed. It seems pretty confusing for me and so I’m sure to most normal people having so many logos for different decimal places is insane. Nice work regardless.

If we are to consider the designs on the logo, they are very attractive to the eye and is a well done job as everyone has already complemented, but however we should consider the reason that having more than one logo to symbolise bitcoin will be making it sounds confusing to people and i believe in most brands we have in the world, each has always maintained a unique symbol or logo to serve as it identification, bitcoin may need no additional logo irrespective of the unit it's appears.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 15, 2023, 06:26:20 PM
People are indeed crazy no doubt, I mean they can do and believe all sort of nasty stuffs just to feel the urgency of satisfaction. I have said it before that some gambler even go as far as wishing their bet to be loss thinking it would turn out the opposite of their wish although when you come to look at the overall gambling experience from different people you will then know that most of these gamblers have been really frustrated to actually start thinking all this weird stuffs .

If we are not smart enough some people are ready to take every possible advantage in our slerckness and use them against us in gambling, there are smart guys around, with varieties of manipulating skills that can be used to deceives us and chance us from an opportunity especially when it comes to wining a bet in gambling, there are gamblers left with no choice or hope for winning and are ready to ensure you both are in the same boat about to capsize.
1025  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My humble suggestion for the Naija local board on: August 15, 2023, 06:07:33 PM
Maybe before all this could be finally settled the issue of moderator have to be first settled, then we have either sub boards or child boards for each category of discussion then we launch into having some coincise pinned threads being informative enough for people to learn, OP suggestion is not a bad idea but it has to go by order one after each other, i know very soon the board will still experience more increase than we have this time.
1026  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we have a newbie Bitcoin wallet? on: August 15, 2023, 05:17:31 PM
So I'm asking if there can be wallets for newbies that'll contain tutorial measures on how to use it and it'll also be user friendly to newbies

Try faucets, also you can try creating crypto demo wallet accounts, there are specific tutorials, guides and mentoring you could learn from them and there are website also were you can begin as a newbie, when you're dealing with demo account you will not have to use real bitcoin or possibly the reward that may be given can be very little in sats since the intention was for learning purpose only.

With this, to send, receive coins  and do other things like message signing will  be less complicated to newbies and will also make the use of Bitcoin wallet an easy task for all newbies

There's a wallet best for newbies in this regard which can serve for learning purpose and easy to understand, they can make use of Exodus wallet but am not sure if all the features you mentioned were comprised in it usage.
1027  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Your health is your greatest wealth and assets. on: August 14, 2023, 08:30:30 PM
2) REGULAR EXERCISING:

We should engage in doing exercise no matter how little it may appear, we don't have to feel too relaxed by ourselves thinking we are enjoying by being lazy to engage in doing exercise, we have to feel fit always, have the vigour to withstand any little stress and conquer any little illness introduced to our body system, we should also watch what we eat, personal hygiene is very important for us to ensure we live good and stay fit, when we do exercise also, it strengthens our immune system to fight against any harmful diseases introduced to our body.

OP i appreciate your efforts in writing these up but sometimes it's not all about the quantity of what we offer but the quality in them, what you're saying here to me is what can be summarized in one or two lines than the time and effort on wat already had been discussed by many members even in a more professional and presentable manner, though you're a newbie, this could actually be a learning ground for you to do more in other to see more, increase your learning scope, research and make findings on recent and informative news everyone could learn something new from.

1032  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How we can help ourselves on: August 12, 2023, 02:19:46 PM
My country people I greet una ooo, e get waiting I they always see among ourselves, some people they always they after criticising our fellow 9ja post

Have you heard about the proverb which says, when men throws stones at you, gather them together and use them in building walls round about yourself, I don't count it criticism, rather corrections, everyone was ones a newbie and had gone through such phases, if you truly know what you're talking about, no one will criticize you, because you will confidently make your point clear, but for someone who is inexperience in what he's saying or even have no idea on that aspect will be corrected but to him may looks like criticism, except more of this if you truly want to learn, it will one day be one of your story to tell later in the future.
1033  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Studies for Naija Universities on: August 12, 2023, 02:02:43 PM
There should be possibilities for these, i recently cone across this data online which says: Nigeria the number one lead in countries interested about bitcoin from around the world https://twitter.com/BTC_for_Freedom/status/1690064269839040512?t=AJNBqLiNJJtvX9OZoZQHuA&s=19 i thought about it as well seing how cryptocurrency is fast increasing in the country with the people more interested in bitcoin, if the people can desire for it, they will definitely deserve having it even though it may take time and other procedures, bitcoin can be achieved and be thought in schools and also be accepted as a legal tender.
1034  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 11, 2023, 05:41:32 PM
He should know that there's no way to eat his egg and still have it, it's easier to have review on time before other busy schedules showed up, despite his failure to compliance to the deadline given, an extension was made to enable him have a second chance, i believe he was not the only one involved, others take actions but he shows negligence, this is a contract you signed in for, if you think it's unbearable anymore, then make refundment, maybe we should consider if at all he was that stucked in an emergency that warrant him having no access to Internet or mobile phone, but if he's lucky to have later sent back the fund, the manager may and may not erace the tag.
1035  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any solution for a hacked wallet? on: August 11, 2023, 05:22:29 PM
I applied for an airdrop where I connected my wallet a few days later I noticed that my wallet has been hacked and some of my money are gone. I tried sending gas to the wallet to move some tokens to a saved wallet, but if I send gas to the wallet the gas is been moved automatically by a bot. I do not know what to do to recover some of my tokens from the wallet.

Maybe you should learn this for the very first time, any lost coin cannot be recovered as long as the transaction is confirmed, bitcoin or altcoins transactions are irreversible, that is why the security to your wallet is in your hands, you shouldn't allow anyone to have access to your wallet informations, immediately you're hacked, they moved all the funds in your wallet into another wallet, you can only trace the recipient but can't reverse the transaction, always learn to take security measures over your wallet, it's more better needed than investing on the coins to hold.

1037  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are these Swaps legit ? on: August 11, 2023, 04:25:18 PM
Snipped

Before taking any decision on anything, first make your own research about them, these are uncommon swaps and i don't know where and how you come up with them altogether, my advice is if you think you can't risk loosing your crypto assets, make use of the ones you're very familiar with which were also common, lastly, your thread should be on altcoins discussions or exchanges, i recommend you move the thread right before the moderators does that for you.

1039  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: HydroCIS shares what Nigerians should know about LPG-powered generators on: August 10, 2023, 02:40:48 PM
The idea is if we can be able to see the possibility of developing something new and help towards innovating new ideas by decreasing the level of our dependency on what we are too used to, the people could be served with alternatives to make them less deoendent and we could encourage for more developments in research work in finding this alternative, inflation is what we cannot do without presently in the economy but we can reduce it's consequences from what we locally innovates and use, we need to be self dependent to help us enjoy dynamic opportunities in development, if someone can invent a car that uses PMS, someone can develop the one that uses water, solar or wind energy for the people, using gas in fueling generator engine is just a simple application of an idea.
