1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling everywhere on: July 18, 2023, 01:27:47 PM
how do you feel after making a stake? People on these forum mostly gambling board, lot of people here do say we should use spare money to make a bet (stake) but we all know that there is nothing like a spare money if people save money for future use I don't think a well thinking person will also save money for gambling.

The thing is very simple here, it's been said that only gamble with the amount of money you ca be able to afford to loose, which means that if you're having money with you and it's your business money or someone else money, don't gamble with it, make use of your extra earned money, maybe from the realized profits you made, use part of it to gamble and always have it in mind that you could loose the same money when you missed the game, you're not advised to save your money in other to use it for gambling, only gamble with the money you can afford to loose.

I think everybody who gambled sometimes does not know when they are in a gambling shops, just imagine you're about to check your past bets and you find your self about to stake another, please don't see it the other way round.
So if you use our saved money to stake a bet, what really comes next to your mind? I will like us to talk about this.

That one is left for you the gambler, it's lies on your rate of being disciplined and how desperate you could appear to gamble everytime you have such opportunity, eventually you may be classified as an addicted gambler in doing this, you should know the logic behind gambling, it's not about you trying to gamble again, but does the conditions attached there warrant for such, do you actually have the money to gamble or you want to risk others people's money with you because of your addiction, in this case the gambler have to be emotionally controlled if not will end up where he least expect through gambling.
1162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns on: July 18, 2023, 01:05:02 PM
A question about Signature Campaigns

I assume the idea is to put a link to a service or crypto casino in your signature, correct?

When someone starts a signature campaign for an online crypto casino, the goal is to attract people to the casino through the signature, am I reasoning correctly?

You're right, that's the exact reason for participating in a signature campaign, for you to promote the organization or company that wants to use the signature campaign means to advertise to the world about their services, sites and other benefits, but to participate in a signature campaign is a choice and has its requirements, also an organization must have enough fund to fuel a signature campaign by involving the use of campaign manager to help them set a criteria for such advertisement, but at the ed of the day, both the campaigning organization and its signature campaign participants gets benefited from these altogether.
1163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is the ledger can be hackable ? on: July 18, 2023, 12:46:42 PM
is the ledger can be hacked ?

if yes in which scenario?

Ledger wallet was one of the top most used hardware wallet before some vulnerability was discovered on it for less security safety which means, there could be any chances of getting attacked through the use of malware on the device you're using when handling a ledger hardware wallet, some of these attacking vulnerabilities makes it more disastrous to use them and people detect this privacy bridge of third party as a means to introduce any harm to thebuse of this same wallet, there are other more secured hardware wallets aside ledger, or maybe you make use of an electrum cold storage wallet on an airgapped device or run a full node.
1164  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 17, 2023, 09:44:41 PM
As everyone has made it more clear that gambling is a form of being entertained and while going through this, we can also find a means to pick out some opportunities in this for making earnings through it but it must not be forgotten that gambling still remains gambling and not a permanent or best ideal way of making money, if we are interested in making money then we should go after making an investment, so also is what we do being recognized as gambling if we make use of money to bet for it, in doing so, we have also become a gambler at the process.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 17, 2023, 09:38:29 PM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

To be honest here the best idea is to either quit or pause and give some space to make a good achievement with the money before going back to gambling because if care is not taken, the money won will gradually returned back to where it came from if the gambler continue making attempts the more to have a second chance experience in winining that kind of amount, that's why you could sometimes discover that some make a win and later turned a failure because they can't give an accurate of how they utilize the money than on gambling.
1166  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is diversification 2 different coins really be good advice 4 Newbies? on: July 17, 2023, 09:31:59 PM
The better you make decision on diversification the better for your safety should anything struct what you have invested and it suffered loss, what are you going to do if that's the only last hope you've got that you invested in, making diversification also helps to increase your sources of income generation and makes it affordable for you to managed them well because money will never be a challenging factor here with you in other to cope well with your business, but before you make the diversification first, try make enough research on what you're considering and know the risk involved before taking the step forward.
1167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is more profiting self trade or AI on: July 17, 2023, 09:02:16 PM
one will you prefer if AI is proven to be effective.

Let's not put hope on what is not, AI cannot be that effective for use in trading, if it occurres to be effective then it will definitely not last by any chance, come to think in this way, how we could have see many traders making use of AI for their trading if it's that effective enough to be trusted for a maximum result.

Will you prefer to trade with AI or you prefer to do the trading yourself?

The best option is to learn to trade by yourself, you cannot compare how you will think or reason to how a bot will perform his own research analysis for your trading and you have no option than to have what it gives, though most of the AI bots started well but fail along the line especially when you over used them.
1168  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov - prove yourserlf at least the plagiarism accusation on: July 17, 2023, 08:53:01 PM
I don't care to know how all these started but I never thought I'd see higher ranked members be in a fight or argument on this Forum without finding a means of solving the issue without using itchy words.

Things like this happens in almost every settings where you have people coming together from different places and background, this is bitcointalk and everyone talks what he feels right or not, but whenever there's an argument like this, rhe way forward should be the first priority we should sign in and Ratimov have already made the move from what he stated as a way forward, each should remove the tag and ignore, i think if we all learn to make use of this ignore button effectively, there won't be more need of having a means of making an argument on someone who's already ignored by you.

Seriously I'm surprised, come to think of it, is this supposed to be happening here?

Newbies onnthe forum were actually watching and learning one or two things from this, we cannot predict if they are positive traits or not but we can also consider that you both are people of high integrity who have been a source of motivation to others, should we still be found in things like tgis again?

Why not try using PM and if is not working out as planned you take it to those who are sitting on the high table. I just wish all these are being solved.

There's a extent to how you can send someone PM on the forum and if it's too much and the user reported you to the moderators, you may be temporary banned, so better not to start the show at all.
1169  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: July 17, 2023, 11:52:10 AM
I know everybody is not in a same class but still we all do budgeting, expenses and impulse. How much do spend a day? Do you think is possible to program your daily expenses?

Making a daily budget for our expenses is very important and easy to learn and achieve if we so determined to see it come true, the first advise i will give on this is to ensure having a steady income source that will be able to pay off your bills, secondly don't make your expenses plan or burget exceeds what you receives as income, you also need to learn how to categorize our budgets base on needs and wants, which means there are approaches we could adopt to help us avoids wasting money and time in some other things we shouldn't have.
1170  Economy / Economics / Re: Building a prosperous business on: July 17, 2023, 11:26:07 AM
What we have to consider in building a prosperous business idea is the future elasticity it has with every potential for the business to always remain relevance, but the good idea here is that people keep making new developments to ensure they solves daily human needs and tackle the arising problems also, it takes a lot of research and demands for inventing something new to solve every arising challenges in life but the way we've gone far in making a provisional offer in seing this problems solved depends on how longer they will remain of value to men and the economy, especially on instances were the economy sole depends on things we invented.
1171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: July 17, 2023, 10:55:42 AM
To What Extent Bitcoin Price Will go for the Bull Market
As it is said, bitcoin price rised to $20+k from late last year after the bear market and in  this year the price rises to $31k, so what is your speculation on the price before the end of the year?

The bull market is one of the most targeted opportunities that almost every holder would like to participate of because the market will pump well for their profitabilities, now we can still accept that we are on the dip for bow if we can put in consideration of where bitcoin was sometimes last year and how it has reached it's all time high of $68,000 we are now a long way far from this ATH and this implies that we are still in the dip market season, but next year will mark another major opportunity for bitcoin market to surge higher and mark a new ATH which we believed can get upto $150 or above during the event of halving next year, if you can hodl then still maintain the decision for buying now and hodl.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Not Nerdy Enough on: July 17, 2023, 09:32:43 AM
Yes, I am complaining that people are not nerdy enough. It's been 14 years since Satoshi published his white paper and the vast majority of people still don't understand what Bitcoin is and how to use it. Sure there are many people buying Bitcoin on crypto exchanges and speculating on it.

Quite alright that everyone wants bitcoin but not everybody will be interested in learning about bitcoin deep down to the root, all they want is the result to come out with bitcoin if given a chance of clearing their doubt on the digital currency, while we could still have some that will only be interested in hqvi a background knowledge and understanding of what bitcoin is and how they could apply the network protocols to achieve their targeted research and findings on bitcoin, they would have been the kind of people who understands the whitepaper well enough with the techniques in bitcoin than being an investor alone.

However, the average guy on the street that I speak to, and even many people on crypto forums still don't understand Bitcoin's potential

It's not everyone that's found on this forum bitcointalk, there are many other crypto platforms where their major discussions are on other cryptocurrencies and shitcoins, how will you want to have them achieve something vital there when the source of the Informations received are not genuine enough and the forum aren't as moderated as expected, so they needed to identify this forum as the only most reliable source of bitcoin information and discuss Which could facilitate their learning about bitcoin than other sources or platforms.
1173  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: FG plans to give 8K to poor households. on: July 15, 2023, 09:55:32 PM
1, how do you identify the poor in Nigeria, because half of the Nigerian population are not working, so they can be seen to be poor too, so what measures will the FG deploy for the selection of the poor?

They don't have any particular strategy to use than to randomize the whole process and the lucky ones will have the opportunity to apply for this grant and get awarded, some may not be aware, some may wrongly apply for it while some may apply but never get any feedback from the application made, everything has to do with taking risk, we can still have some people who will have the opportunity of having more than one when some were yet to receive anything, things can never be balanced this way except the government adopted more accurate means to ensure equal distribution with fare justice.
1174  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Drainage is not a dump yard on: July 15, 2023, 09:07:51 PM
In Nigeria almost all the drainage has a blockage just from the fact that citizens has turned the drainage to dump yard and they suffer from it especially during this period of rain. The government are not trying the little that is done should be appreciated and cared for because when it gets bad again we still gonna suffer it.

Challenges like these are caused by our human activities and we cannot expect the government to help in this situation when we needed to take actions on ourselves, if one has experienced flooding before will have a better understanding foe the needs of having the drainage free of water movement than blocking them with refuse dumps, it's also not hygienic for the environment we lived in because it will cause many diseases through stagnant water infection.
1175  Economy / Gambling / Re: Promote Your Gambling Platform for FREE on: July 15, 2023, 08:29:09 PM
Are you ready to take your crypto casino, games, and betting platforms to the next level? Look no further than the TFC Economy, the premier destination for promoting your services within the thriving cryptocurrency community.

Why should i promote for a gambling site i dont know about without a request of my service for doing such promotional offer, we have to be careful in some things we do because it may be termed an abuse on some platforms in which they may not like the meane through which we make those promotions, joining your WhatsApp platform is not a good advice enough for someone to take because of the varieties of activities that might be going on there, any gambling platform that needs a better marketing should take advantage of this forum signature campaign and advertise itself.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 15, 2023, 07:53:03 PM
When the OP doesn't have the knowledge to spend his money then why start with gambling?

Alot might be going on in his mind when he first made this at the point of choosing between being a Gambler or a crypto users whereas some have made it look more of doing a crypto trading as gambling which is wrong, if he gambles then he risk the chance of loosing his money but when he make use of his cryptocurrency for trading instead of gambling, he may not end up loosing everything but only little or rather gain more

this is indeed quite strange to me, it means that OP has absolutely no capacity to manage finances.

There are individual differences and we may not tell now if OP is a newbie in gambling and he's trying to just get along with gambling, if he can't risk money or loose it then he shouldn't go near gambling at all because it has it own risk presented in such manners.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 15, 2023, 11:39:35 AM
Indeed, the impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine which has been going on for almost 1 year has had a major impact on the world economy. Many countries in Europe have experienced food shortages as a result of Russia banning exports, especially since oil prices have soared. If the war is not finished soon, it is very likely that almost the entire world will experience an economic downturn.

We cannot pretend that nothing is being affected at the cause of this lingering war and this has already caused many economic distortions from international countries having ties with both Russia and Ukraine because they don't want to be one sided against the other, i remember the move by some African countries that they make attempts in approach the two parties on the issue and address them on how they could hold back the unity that has cooexisted before and live together in peace in other for them to have a restoration of many opportunities that have gone at the cause of the fight, many countries were already affected directly or indirectly.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What term to use? Halving or Halvening? on: July 15, 2023, 11:12:15 AM

I think halving is fit better than halvening because the Bitcoin block reward is divided every 4 years and the another divided part is disappeared. If the divided part isn't disappeared, then we can call it halve IMO.

But I'd like to see a better term than halving because halving is too general. It's like holding, but in cryptocurrency we're use hodling term.

Well in the common context of how this is being used on the forum, we often use "halving" and this represent the half reward of the block reward being calculated from the previous one, i bitcoin network we can always make use of halving while the other half is the commonly used term for dividing something into two out of the bitcoin context, so the use of Halving might just be the unique way of referring to bitcoin half of block reward every four years, you're also correct about that mate.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are bitcoin mixers often accused of laundering money? on: July 15, 2023, 07:39:58 AM
In your opinion, how to prevent the use of bitcoin as a means of money laundering? While we may not recommend going to KYC, it is useless and the anonymity of bitcoins will be lost.

The government have been trying the impossibilities they know themselves that can't be regulated, some good examples were already made from above comments, government cannot control every of human activities effectively, they have been raising campaigns over child abuse, some do drugs dealings but yet people make use of this same thing for the good and the bad intentions despite they don't mind the jail terms conditions and while same drugs are used in the pharmaceutical industries for human health, which means inherently every thing has a good and bad side just as we have in people as well, there are good and bad people but we all live together.

To this day, many bitcoin mixers have been caught in money laundering cases, such as Chipmixer, Tornado Cash, Bitcoin Fog, and others. Apart from that, even though the bitcoin mixer users are at fault, those who make the mistake of using a mixer as a way of covering up their crimes, why is the Bitcoin mixer platform also considered guilty? Or is there a conspiracy between them?

If you're seeking for privacy with the use of a bitcoin mixer there's nothing bad in that, now when we discover the risk in using one and the threat they suffer from government regulations then it's better for one to look for a best alternative means to using them, maybe by running a full node transaction using bitcoincore could be more encourage, mixers are not guilty of anything just as banks fan accommodate opening bank account for anyone, they are open for making their own business as every other organizations operates.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 14, 2023, 05:28:42 PM
Trying to cheat a casino cam only be fine when you don't have much money in your account and don't have the plan to stay for a very long time in the casino because it is certain that the person will be ban or account locked as quick as possible.

There's nothing fine in giving an attempt to cheat when knowing that the end result will always be banned, doing what is not right cannot last but a few moments, the casinos also has security measures taken to tackle every attempted means to cheat on their system and the gambler will end loosing instead of looting the casino.

Many of these casinos are always strict and ready to penalize us when we do something contrary to there terms and conditions especially when the person a has some money in there account. It will be unwise for us to try and cheat a casino when we know that the casino can in any ways freeze our account for breaking there team's and conditions.

I think in this kind of scenario, they will not temporary ban the user account but give it a permanent ban even though they may try to subject such user to more protocols under KYC requirements but his account may not get unlocked at the end after wasting his time as well on false hope that his account may get unlocked through the process.
