1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would I recover my Metamask "backuped seed phrase" if I saved it before? on: August 23, 2021, 05:56:06 AM
- Do you have the ethereum address that holds all of your altcoins?
- And have you saved the seed phrase that is linked to that ETH address?

If I, in fact, pressed "backup recovery/seed phrase". is there a way for me to  recover that first phrase so I can recover the first account?
If you don't have the seed phrase of your first account then it's impossible for your altcoin to be recovered as well. Password wallet and the address alone won't help.

There's no recovery feature for metamask unless you backup the seed phrase of your first account by yourself.
This is true. However, this is only usable if the user forgot to write down the seed phrase that is being shown when the user was first creating the account. You can just go to

Account > Setting > Security and Privacy > Enter the password > Reveal secret code.
1822  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 23, 2021, 05:21:43 AM
when i tried to log in after months i was not able to and when i tried to recover my account it said that the username does not exist.
It is most likely that you have entered an incorrect format of your username. The chances of typing it incorrectly is much higher especially if your username has a combination of lowercase and uppercase letters. Or, you can just enter the email you have used when you created your roobet account for logging in as an alternative.

Be careful though, Roobet is strictly prohibits multiple accounts in 1 IP.

You warrant not to create any additional accounts from the same electronic device, household, IP address, natural person, or legal identity without informing the Roobet support team immediately.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel wiser after you play online crypto gambling? on: August 23, 2021, 05:02:27 AM
Losing and gambling your hard earned money that comes from the services you offered in drawing and designing, which you can't afford to lose is a hell of a lot life changing. I've learned the actual "bankroll management" and "risk management" the hard way while accepting the fact that maybe it's the tuition fee that I need to pay for something important.

Now, even though I rarely gamble (trauma?), having to know those two is extremely handy when trading.
1824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading involvement on: August 22, 2021, 12:59:22 PM
So, I have a similar situation, but with my uncle. When he found out that I was making money by trading and investing in cryptocurrency, specifically bitcoin, he immediately asked me how he was going to convert his pesos into BTC. Fortunately, bitcoin was around 18k when he started, and it's quite surprising that he hold it, making a 400 percent return.

Now, It's kinda cool to see him checking the price action while consistently doing Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA). And it is true that they need some sort of proof to believe in something new, especially since bitcoin is a computer program that most non-technical middle-aged people find difficult to believe because they have no idea such thing exists.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 08:32:59 AM
...snip
But what's done is already done and Ugas won, we have to accept it.  Undecided
Yeah and that's the hard part.

Regardless, Pacquiao remains the greatest boxer for Filipinos and, without a doubt, one of the best in the world. His name will live on in boxing history, and perhaps even more so in Philippine history.

Having an 8-weight division title holder in boxing history is perhaps the most difficult feat that anyone can accomplish. Manny have brought great honor to the Philippines. And, if I had to give him some advice, I would tell him not to be swayed by politics. Because all of the good things he has, such as a good family, fame, and wealth, are things he should be grateful for. He is a naturally talented boxer who is unfit to be president and should remain so.

But still, even you have lost a fight. Congrats
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 07:31:42 AM
I don't know but isn't it that Manny Pacquiao's real opponent should be Errol Spence instead of Yordenis Ugas. Though I am very much aware of Spencer's eye injury that postponed their match. Is it possible that Manny Pacquiao has been double crossed in this particulat fight?

A surprised match to Ugasis definitely a recipe of disaster for a player who doesn't even have the time to prepare before the match  Angry

Shit! I feel bad!
1827  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: August 22, 2021, 06:29:31 AM
@Jercyhora2

Nakadepende na sa Mavis Team yung economy ng laro nila. Kapag hinayaan nilang ang earning mechanism ng laro eh nanggagaling sa new players then you can call it "ponzi" pero kung mag dedeploy sila ng bagong feature na mag da-drive ng earning mechanism aside from new players, then that would be the ideal scenario.

May article din si Luis Buenvantura about sa ponzi issue ng Axie. Basahin na lang for additional info.

Moreover, kadiri naman yang Monsta Infinite! Ano yan bootleg version ng Axie? LOL.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell BTC and take profit in usdc or usd on exchange. which is safe? on: August 21, 2021, 10:42:42 AM
If you're on a tight budget and can't afford to buy hardware wallet, you can just sell your BTC to USDT and send it to a non-custodial wallet like Metamask instead of storing it on an exchange. I prefer using BEP20(BSC) network to reduce the transaction fee.

1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: August 21, 2021, 08:55:00 AM
Where the hell did the $ 5 billion capitalization come from then? Either I don't understand something or the world is going crazy.
It is because of their AXS governance token with a maximum supply of only 270M[1] and a massive influx[2] of players getting into the game which makes the price to remain bullish. Currently, about 60 million AXS are in circulation, with the majority of the supply (22.22 percent of total supply) coming from their public token sale and in-game incentives (reaching the top of the leaderboard)[3]. If the Mavis Team releases the play-to-earn and staking rewards for its players and investors, the remaining AXS will be released somewhere in between this quarter until year 2026.

Also, the breeding process in Axie Infinity is crucial, particularly in terms of the AXS treasury. Axie Infinity included a breeding mechanism to generate new axies that may be utilized for fighting, breeding other offspring, and as a marketable item. The AXS that is being used in the breeding process goes to the community treasury[4] where it is later used for the governance functionalities of AXS.

Early 2021, the Community Treasury will go live. The treasury will hold revenue generated by Axie Infinity, as well as a portion of staking rewards. The treasury will be governed by AXS stakers, once the network has been sufficiently decentralized.

For now, there is a 4.25% marketplace fee as well as a fee of 2 AXS for breeding Axies that goes into the Community Treasury.

Furthermore, an increasing number of exchange listing for AXS could also drive the price up for AXS token, which is a no brainer why this token just keeps going up. More exchanges could also means more accessibility for trading.

Can you tell me what crypto coins were before BTC? I wasn't aware of them... I thought that the Bitcoin started it all.
Bitcoin is a product of previous digital money that has been created decades of years before the existence of bitcoin. And as far as I know, it all started from Adam Back's Hashcash to Wei Dai's bmoney up until to Nick Szabo's Bitgold

Satoshi combined combined these founding pieces of technology that results to an innovated cryptographic based currency called bitcoin.

Aren't those news portal accepts payments for publishing an article whick makes every single of them to be biased? I've been on this forum long enough and read enough threads to know that most written articles should be taken with a grain of salt.

What I think is most beneficial is to use various sources, create a constructive thread that shows your opinions, and discuss it with others.

On a side note, if you're looking for bitcoin resources that talks about the economics, politics, and techological aspect of bitcoin, then you should not miss Jameson Lopp's website.
1833  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forum Skills on: August 20, 2021, 02:00:06 PM
I understand that having expertise in technical knowledge is not the same as having excellent digital/drawing skills. However, I believe that even if these two fields are unrelated, they both have something to do with investing a significant amount of time in order to improve.

I am a digital and traditional artist who has won numerous competitions both inside and outside of the forum, but this does not imply that I began as an expert. I've previously failed numerous contests, been chastised for drawing an ugly face, and experienced frustrations that resulted in unproductive days. However, here I am. So proud that, for the very first time in my life, the expectations have become a reality.

If you're learning something, keep in mind that your efforts are compounding. This means that even if you only learn a few things, it will help you in the long run. Remember that committing to lifelong learning can be transformative!

I'm currently studying Computer Engineering, which is the polar opposite of my hobbies, but I'm looking for a new challenge. In fact, I am studying CPE because the technicalities of bitcoin fascinate me, and I believe that learning programming in my current undergrad course will be beneficial in some ways.

I think what everyone should look out for with this project is to check the lawsuit against Nicolas Kokkalis.

Vincent McPhillip filed a case against Nicolas for wrongful termination and other issues relating to Chengdiao Fan and Kokkalis' marital problems. Another reason is an implicit threat of termination if McPhilip does not provide the branding materials, which might result in a loss of investors to their firm. The file also stated that their company is almost on the brink of collapse when the pandemic hits but I think that's normal though.

- https://pdfhost.io/v/YQIZZzB5N_complaintpdf.pdf (Full details of the lawsuit)

Moreover, facebook also filed a lawsuit against Kokkalis for buying a domain name called "facebookdeals.com" which is quite fishy.

obtaining an option for free accounts, and of course I imagine that through a free account when passing through Many missions will be saved to buy 3 AXIES and play in "Premium" mode
I think you have missed something.

It is correct that Axie Infinity will have a free to play gameplay, however, it will not provide any earning ability, this means that you are able to mint SLP along the process. You can check the their tweet regarding this.

There is fake news spreading that free-to-play Axies from the upcoming V2 battles (Origin) will be able to earn tokens.
The free Axies will be solely for introducing people to the game and will have no earning ability.

They have also released a dedicated server for E-sports tournaments. Perhaps, it is a foreshadowing that sportsbetting might stand a chance.

Stuck SLP or AXS in the bridge can still be transferred whenever you want.
1837  Economy / Services / Re: Cabalism13's Axie Management on: August 18, 2021, 02:57:44 PM
Did you mean that you'd be willing to train someone to be an Axis Infinity Manager? Teach them on how to breed? Help them find a decent axie's that are suitable for breeding in order to create a scholarship program?

Shouldn't the manager choose his own scholar?

Suggestion though, it would be more beneficial to focus your service into creating meta teams that can reach a higher MMR, it could be a hybrid team where the skills has synergy or something niche that will counter attack a certain team composition. I always see this kind of service in facebook and in reddit as well.

I think you have missed one of his spotify exclusive podcast called Unscrypted Podcast.

It currently has a total of 25 episodes, each lasting between 25 and 45 minutes on average. Though it's a little out of date (the most recent upload was in July of last year), you may still learn a lot, especially if you're an auditory learner.

Any update on when Efi will return to the forum?
@efi will probably return 10-11 days from now based on the thread he created last month of June 27. A continuous update for bonuses and exciting events would not be possible without the help of other GOSU admins. But still, you can communicate with him thru their official telegram channel[1].

@rugbit96
Hardware wallets and any other bitcoin wallet are pretty much the same in terms of how they work. Its just that the private keys doesn't leave the device which make it different to other wallet.
