1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Strongman] 2022 World’s Strongest Man on: June 03, 2022, 07:56:36 AM
Finally, I discovered another sport that interests me, and I am confident that if it were available in any other recognized crypto sportsbook here, I would bet on it.

As much as I admire the science of weightlifting, I believe that learning how these guys train to reach their maximum lifting capacity would be extremely advantageous to someone like myself who is a gym rat. However, one thing that intrigues me is why the majority of their body types are like a dirty bulk, rather than a shredded type of body physique similar to bodybuilders?

but that is what is called a signature and we are free to edit it, does that mean?
To add.

If you are accepted in a signature campaign, you might need to ask for permission either from the campaign manager or the owner to modify the BBCode by yourself. However, do note that modifying the signature, as far as I know, is limited only to adding your referral link if the product you are advertising has an affiliation program.

I have one account, with the same email address, they keep deleting it with these updates. Ive been told to recreate it by support twice so im not pulling this out of thin air.

Have you tried clearing your cache and setting your browser as your default as suggested by other members? Given that their website is still in beta, it's understandable if it's a little wonky. There are still a lot of bugs to iron out, or perhaps your account has been flagged as an abuser.

First, try to resolve some of the technical issues on your end.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 02, 2022, 11:34:37 AM
Similar to funny images, text, videos, GIF or any other kinds of format that is being distributed all over the internet, meme coins follows the same concept but on steroids due to some endorsement/shilling made by celebrities/billionaires in the industry that makes them popular and vulnerable to hype.

In other words, their value is driven by popularity and not by a sensible use case.
1065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MS Word vulnerability could lead to stealing your bitcoins on: June 02, 2022, 10:33:36 AM
Question!

Should I disable it even though I do not have any Microsoft office/products installed? Also, on my desktop which was primarily used for academic purposes, I have tons of word documents created in MS word, am I already compromised?

Thanks for sharing by the way!
1066  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 02, 2022, 09:56:53 AM
What blockchain is that casino built on top of? Does it function like DirectBet?
From what I have observed, the casino[1] that has been mentioned now currently exists in web 2.0 which is here. Eventually, they are also planning to build another version of their casino in Metaverse, particularly in Sandbox, Decentraland, and Metachance under the Ethereum blockchain

So yeah, I think the implementation of NFT in blackjack.fun would be quite cumbersome especially now that there is a pending version update on the website. It isn't a bad idea either because you see, there is a lot of space for improvements.

1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFT slot Machine !! on: June 01, 2022, 06:58:12 AM
It's interesting enough but is the NFT included in any say, idk, usable towards something e.g. a community or metaverse of sorts for that specific casino?
In the article, it says the collection that's needed are Jungle Animal Collection and the OG Collection[1] which I think is associated from the casino itself.

Sure the concept is pretty new when it comes to slot machines, but the fact that other established casino have implemented the use of NFT's in exchange for varieties of rewards isn't new.

1068  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 01, 2022, 06:13:28 AM
never give financial advice to anyone.
You can actually give but not to the point that you forcing it to someone else's throat. If there's any advice you can give, it's to let them know what you're actually doing, what resources you're reading, and what to avoid. Of course, you can only speak when requested; otherwise, you would be spending your time discussing topics to them that are irrelevant.

Plus, as a general rule of thumb, what works for you could not work for others, right? This is especially true in the financial world, where everyone has a different risk appetite, financial situation, and depth of understanding.

Or perhaps, you can rudely say to get the hell out of my face and that your investment isn't my business.
1069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Four (4) Tips On How I Handle Criticism on Bitcointalk Forum on: June 01, 2022, 05:29:20 AM
Learn to fact check and learn how to research on a certain topic that you can use for cross referencing to provide an accurate if not the best answer regardless of the nature of the topic. This means that you really know and have applied what you are talking about and not just some random gibberish content just to achieve certain quota. You are only entitled to give an opinion or advice as long as you can defend it morally and ethically.

And if there are members who corrected you in the middle of the discourse, then it would be best to absorb what they teach you like a sponge and never repeat the same advice you have given before.
1070  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Usual phishing warning on: June 01, 2022, 04:35:35 AM
Google does not care if advertisements or phishing sites appear on their site because they allow bad advertising and are only interested in making a profit. This is why utilizing a browser extension like uBlockOrigin[1] to avoid accidently entering shady ads would be quite beneficial.

Another option is to use Firefox with DuckDuckGo as your search engine with UblockOrigin installed instead of the Google browser. The only trade-off is that, as compared to using Google, it may limit some of the search results.

Hi @Pmalek,

I think it is also a good idea to include these two gambling review threads for people who are asking which casinos have these promotions or which casino have the best reviews and what not. Both are in Gambling Board.

When searching for a specific topic that comes from bitcointalk, I usually use the colon as my primary search parameter to search for keywords only in bitcointalk. It looks like this if I am searching topics related to Merit or How to rank up.

Code:
Ranking up:bitcointalk.org

However, I do not think the quantity of merits has anything to do with your problem. I mean, even if the issue has tons of merits but does not provide a solution to your concern, it may be meaningless, as opposed to unmerited/received few merits but solves your question, right?
1073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do I have to do on: May 31, 2022, 06:11:54 AM
Terkehh token. From what I have seen, this shitcoin doesn't have links to their development team, no whitepaper and even no interaction on their telegram group and that signifies that the project is something fishy from the get-go. You might as well check their token analysis from tokensniffer.

https://tokensniffer.com/token/10u3x01afsua6fszlmj0zvnb5xni0u1q3j01582g1fbblxb1gje10ho5nvjs?h=2862

Is this the reason why your token are being held hostage at this point?

Metawars coin is a SCAM MrBeast NOT Invested in Metawars

With so many red flags in all of your assets from a simple search, you should be able to spot some patterns to determine whether the project might potentially take your hard-earned money or not. If you want to continue and survive in the field of cryptocurrencies in the long run, you should avoid almost all of the projects on the BSC network because the majority of them are vapourware.

If in any case there is a chance to sell them, then get your ass off and sell them right away. But if not, kiss your money goodbye and treat it as a tuition fee for the lessons and make sure that you won't repeat them again. Sorry for yor loss mate!
1074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginners Profile help on: May 31, 2022, 05:11:03 AM
but what is the signature itself used for?
It's simply an indirect strategy to promote a cryptocurrency-related project on bitcointalk by wearing a bbcode banner/design under your profile and participating in forum discussions in exchange for bitcoin or some other useless token which has no value.

In the past, signature campaigns were one of the reasons the forum became clogged with nonsense that added nothing to the discussion. And because these people can't contribute anything useful to the community, they ended up spamming the forum to meet their quota and be paid.

are we free to apply any signature? is it profitable?
You can freely apply as long as you met their requirements of having Sr.Member rank above and that you have received 5-10 merits in the last 120 days.
1075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quox Capital on: May 30, 2022, 07:31:33 AM
Why settle for an unknown exchange when there is an existing centralized exchange that you can use for trading without worrying about your deposit being held hostage, which would lead to tedious work complying with their KYC requirements before you can get the hell out of their hands?

To back up what @_act_ was saying, the website is not even existing for a year.

1076  Other / Meta / Re: Why do these accounts have the right to wear a clickable signature on the forum? on: May 30, 2022, 06:48:55 AM
Apart from wearing a scam gambling casino site, the fact that the user has not earned merit in the last 5 years is a clear indication that the person is making meaningless posts that may result in bans.

The question is whether there are few to no reported posts by that specific user, allowing him or her to be exposed to banning, which could serve as a stepping stone toward improvement. Or the forum has become less stringent in dealing with these types of people.

Staff do not want to hand out bans for unconstructive posts but if we feel that you as a user are continually making very poor or unsubstantial posts due to your paid signature the following bans will be issued:

First offence: 7 days
Second offence: 14 days
Third offence: 30 days
Fourth: Permanent ban

1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: May 30, 2022, 06:13:25 AM
I'm now waiting for my Bolt Card which should in theory allow me to do the same, paying with lightning by tapping with the card, and it would connect directly to my lightning node, and pay for the requested amount of Bitcoin.
According to some articles[1] on their website, they require KYC for your account to be setup before you can use the Boltcard for direct bitcoin payments via lightning network, which I believe contradicts bitcoin's initial use case. Or is it likely that I'm overthinking this?

[1] https://support.coincorner.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001559953-Verifying-my-account

As for the topic, I wouldn't call myself using bitcoin for payments as I need to constantly convert bitcoin into our local currency either by using Peer-to-Peer(P2P) with some of my crypto acquaintances.

In fact, I have yet to see a local establishment that states "bitcoin payment is accepted," which I believe is understandable considering how unpredictable Bitcoin's price is and how technicalities are prone to human error are required.

Can you provide us on what basis they are ranked or the site used any algorithm script?
I don't think anyone or a single person can rank a website's ratings or reviews based on an algorithm or script used by a casino because as far as I know, most casinos are closed source. Furthermore, in all of GamblingBro's reviews, he primarily based his score ratings on many criteria like RTP, Deposit and Withdrawal restrictions, KYC, VPN, Bonuses and Rewards, and so on.

Personally, I always check his website[1] whenever a new gambling site is mentioned in this topic to see if there are any red flags to be aware of before making a deposit.

1079  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Any vulnerabilities in changing OLED screen of Ledger Nano S? on: May 29, 2022, 03:27:53 PM

I recently purchased two OLED screen replacements for my previous Ledger Nano S device, as well as an additional in case something similar occurs with the new one, which I hope does not. So far, the Alibaba supplier of these displays has been quite responsive to concerns about their products.

I'm currently waiting for the OLED screen to be delivered to our doorstep, and I'm hoping to be able to share some documentation or procedures for screen replacement in this topic. For security reasons, I'm also planning to factory reset the old ledger device and create a new wallet with a small amount of bitcoin in it.

Good luck to me.
