What price when we get some short squeezing? Only 150 closed so far.
More than 1k shorts already closed in last 4h  I think 235$ is the mark when the losses are going to get to high. For real short squeeze we need 260$ or more. Anyone looking at that volume on finex? Crazy! 1w volume in finex and stamp should indicate that we sow the bottom. Was the volume on the last low not enough to indicate a bottom to you? Nothing will indicate a bottom before the next ATH.. |

Don't you see trends?
Bitcoin is play money for me. I see trends but I also see the very heavy handed manipulation of the price (down in recent months). I suspect when the price rises in earnest I will see the same going upwards. Let's be honest the price is set in general by whales trading thousands of coins. The majority on here are just momentum chasing until the margin call. |

They have been trying to do this since 2012 and still haven't moved further along. Why would it change this year? The hoops to jump through are many, and the actual info (let alone positive info) are few and far between. It could happen, but don't base 20% of your annual prediction on this yet unknown.
Another thing, there is no proof that they will ever buy another Bitcoin for the fund. The net inflow would be to the ETF with the possibility of a bit of overflow into the actual underlying asset. I'm sure they will want to recoup some of their costs incurred over the last 2+ years, trying to make this a reality.
Given they are still 10x up on their initial investment of 100,000 coins I don't think costs are a major problem. I thought their buy in price is around $200? Not a chance! They did most of their buying between $5 and $15. @inca, this is true, so maybe I'm wrong about them needing to recoup, but it doesn't change any of the rest of my statement. 100,000 coins at 200 dollars is a cap of twenty million dollars. Peanuts compared to the multi trillion dollar capital pool excluded from investing in btc. It does allow them to sell out. But they could have drip fed their holdings easily before now at much higher prices. If ever approved it would be insanely bullish and lead to major volatility IMO. |

Popped back in for a quick look. USD borrowing costs at all time low and long interest has collapsed to 15 million dollars US. Shorts just under 25k - sky high in BTC terms. Selling tame by BTC standards and a few walls on finex trying to box the price in.
Wouldn't be surprised to see us at 160 or 230 tomorrow. But I will just hold now. Price remains in a great zone for aggressive accumulation here in my view. Timing the absolute bottom is difficult. If BTC isn't doomed then buying coins for these cheap prices is low risk.
Things are looking ever more ripe for a short squeeze. But as ever the thin market is at the whims of those with strong liquidity to boss it around.

Just cashed out 500btc bought at 170 for 200 Will buy again around $100 which will be rather sooner than later. You no longer exert an influence on the market. One less person to sell. |

I own some Bitcoin ATM's and I can tell you my transactions are up 500% today. Just wait until all those people get their bank accounts verified on Coinbase next week.
Have your transactions ever gone up 500% before? Nope. I have only had them in place for about a month. It has been steady except for yesterday where I did my average weekly sales in one day. But but but the trolls say bitcoin is doomed. he used to have 10 transactions per day before, today he has 50 and he gets excited, so you see why bitcoin is doomed. sub $200 is way too expensive, he asks you to wait so he can dump bags You better hope this drift down isn't a bear trap silly troll alt. |

just look at the charts...we don't go up now...we will at least retest...but after that we should go up (again)...hopefully for a longer timeframe and into much higher levels Could you draw out the future for me and the people unsure of it please? i don't know the future...but at the present we will not go up significantly...(maybe we go up a few dollars, to maximise profits for some)... i guess most of us didn't expect to go down to 200 again (explanation for the absence of the beartrolls yesterday) but the breakout failed and here we are again (with a little help from an attentionwhore on twitter - please delete his name if you quoted him somewhere)... if you have bought bitcoin keep them (as i will) i will try to buy more when we go lower (but as i said i don't know if we just retest or go even lower)...if you want to take a risk you can short...but going (margin) long NOW will just make you more nervous You say you don't know the future, then tell me we wont go up and will go down |

My original point was it is getting very cheap to borrow money and go long. Selling has stalled and shorts remain very high. Sure we can retest the low or even plumb lower but the point where everyone realises (or is squeezed into undertanding) the bottom is in is not far off. It is probably in already. But this is a weekend and it's bitcoin.. so |
