I'm sure this is one of the April fool's jokes by Theymos. There are users reputable enough that I have seen as well and it can't be right.

The ones I have seen so far posted almost a novel related to a topic. It must be an April fool's joke. It's been a tradition already even the most serious vlogger I know has been posting weirdly stuff as well.

1842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you withdraw bitcoin this week? on: March 31, 2023, 05:16:24 PM

Nothing wrong with withdrawing cash.
While some may withdraw their fiat money to enjoy, some will withdraw thier BTC out of the exchange also to prepare for the coming bull run.

While it's still 2023 and there is still a year before the halving yet there is already a huge pump in BTC, what more could happen to BTC price after halving? I think $100K may happen this 2024. It's a very conservative prediction by now since there are already personalities claiming BTC to be $1M.
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: March 31, 2023, 03:12:28 PM
Not only online casinos but gambling in general, risk is present. There's no certainty with winning which makes it a risky investment. Both online and land based casino has risk. Landbased casinos would expose a gambler to trouble, vices in particular with second hand smoke. While in online gambling, players are prone to hacking and non paying gambling sites. But both would be risky of losing for sure because that is a part of gambling or what makes gambling, "gambling".

Casino owners most probably have a budget to pay for the marketing out of their pocket. It seems necessary to market the casino. I just don't know how they make the deal with the influencer. If the casino doesn't want to risks then they must have something like a reward for achieving something. Could it be how much the influencers bring to the casino since the start of his promotion?

For sure they have, and they should. Given how many gambling platforms are there, existing. Therefore a new platform should have something to market themselves to potential players in order to attract future investors or players which would give life to the site itself.

What I'm thinking is that the casino will reward the influencer after every milestone is achieved. The influencer may not receive his pay until he achieves a milestone. Probably after 500 sign-ups under his referral and then he gets paid. Most of them will promote thier affiliate link all the time in the description.

I was planning to be an influencer, I just don't have more followers yet on my crypto youtube channel. I wonder if I should be making contacts to casinos myself after all I already have 800+ subscribers. I wanna strike a deal actually, to see if I could get paid.  Grin
1844  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay CONFISCATING 291mbtc of fair NBA winnings on: March 31, 2023, 02:58:46 PM

Is askgamblers really that reliable in mediating such issue?
It's the first time I read something like this will happen in bitcointalk where both party will ask askgamblers to be in the middle. Won't they ask fees to resolve the issue too?

If it were to be solved quickly coinplay could just give the winning after all it seems the pieces of evidence are telling OP is doing it right. No violation.

1846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do trading in forex gives us 1:1000 or more leverage on: March 31, 2023, 02:30:58 AM
I seen on many platforms that leverage or what ever they says,
is it real that they give leverage of 1:1000 or more to trade, isn't it's risky, or the currency market is very less volatile ?
Have you gotten any liquidation by using leverage like x5, x10, x25 or x50. I don't mention x100 because it is very risky and with only 0.5% of price change, you can be liquidated.

With x1000 leverage, what will you do to protect your capital and avoid forced liquidation?

Gamblers can bet with x1000 leverage if they want but I don't. With x100 leverage, you must be really professional with trading to use it and with amount you afford to lose.

Forced Selling (Forced Liquidation): Definition and examples

Stoploss inorder to protect your capital. But we also know that it's also a bad way to lose when the market is against your position.

Forex has better leverage xx than crypto. It's risky but fun at the same time when you just have less money to roll. I remember with $200 capital, I can earn $1 per pip, and sometimes the market swings up to 70 pips a day, especially on the days where there are terrible news and nonfarm payroll days.
1847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your honest review of the Demo account? on: March 31, 2023, 02:01:19 AM

It's good for training though. It's from the demo account that we learn to set up our indicators and how to change the backgrounds of the platform and the colors of the MAs.

I did use the demo for some time. Learning the basics is important which demo account is good. But if you don't risk some kind of real money, you won't feel the pressure to win which if you keep playing the demo, you might not learn until you lose some funds. ITs why losing is important also  Grin
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 31, 2023, 01:03:01 AM

Sometimes I think that gambling addiction is more dangerous than being a drug addict. A person who is a drug addict does harm to himself only but a person who is a gambling addict, he is harmful not only to himself but also to his family as in his addiction he will spend all his money in gambling. He may take loans, and spend all the money, which would be needed for this family to survive. It's difficult for anyone to spend his life with a gambling addict person.
Also, I would say that a gambling addict person is lazy and wants to get a lot of money quickly without doing any hard work. Such a person is a burden not only to himself but also to his near and dear ones.
Drug addicts can also cause harm to the family not only themselves alone since the excess in take of drugs can lead to. Mental disorders and possible violent displays that could become harmful to those around them, so both drugs and gambling are not on the same page, but in terms of the economic impact, it is easy to spend huge money on gambling than drugs because, with just one bet, millions and dollars can be wasted.

-But an addict can consume such an amount of money on drugs within the same time frame, so these things are both working side way and hand in hand.

This is very true. Sad to see a poor father is introduced to drugs or gambling and never get to recover life and then affected his kids.

It's very close to having a gambling addict family member as they both neglect family duties til the family is dysfunctional. It is somehow like a communicable disease becuase when kids see their fathers doing things like gambling and drugs, the kids will show signs upon growing as if they see it as normal.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 30, 2023, 05:36:23 PM
I really need a clarification on this. Is chasing looses in gambling same as looking for closure because i recently read an article on reddit where the poster said that he will gamble untill he wins just to look for closure. I have been thinking about this for sometime now because closure has the same characteristics with chasing looses which is even when the gambler is loosing he will still be gambling just to recover all his looses.
They are not the same thing, it is true that for that person chasing their losses and getting closure are the same, but that does not mean that every single person out there thinks the same thing, most of the time getting closure for most gamblers is to come to accept that no matter what they do they cannot recover the money they have lost already, so as you can see for most gamblers those words mean absolutely the opposite of chasing their losses.

Indeed! valid point as there are always different approach and different perspectives in each individual and all are opinion based, we don't know or we can't push our own opinions with other people, especially those who thinks that they are doing it the right way, or the understanding and believe that they are in the right track.

It's an option that only gambler who can speak up with their own decision and with their actions.

Some gamblers' closure for the day is when all that's left in his pocket is a taxi fare. We can't really dictate the limit of someone's gambling pursuit when he is up to go big or go home. Sometimes a person wouldn't sleep on it to gamble another day. They just want to go big or go home with nothing and nothing for the next day.  Grin
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 30, 2023, 05:02:19 PM
Israel Adesanya is going to be out for revenge in this match. And we have seen him perform really well when he is out for revenge previously. So I think revenge is something that makes anyone a lot more dangerous. That is probably the same thing going to happen here. In the upcoming fight between him and Alex Pereira, I say Israel Adesanya is going to be the winner.
Don't really want to make any statement about Jones. He could have been so much better if he just was a little more hard-working and serious about his career.

This is what is good in the UFC because they settle it quickly as soon as possible the re-match is because the fire on the emblem is still on and the memory of the fight of these two good fighters is still fresh. They need to fight once more to finish their rivalry and we will see more amazing actions from these two. I think Adesanya is still traumatized about his loss and he won't gonna recover in the first round until he gets to realize that Alex Pereira is still just a normal opponent just like the others that he fought before. and when that happens, I'm sure his performance will be boosted and his chance to win will be high at that moment.

It seems like fate is really playing bettors as well when we see Adesanya still is more favored by bookies. Since then it's always Adensanya that people are betting to win but a big disappointment every time. I'm starting to believe he is in love with Alex.  Cheesy

Pereira had done it 3 times already against Izzy, once in Kickboxing. Pereira is Izzy's nightmare that doesn't go away and he may do it many times more.

1851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: March 30, 2023, 04:39:52 PM

To people in this forum that had been in crypto for almost 10 years, they should be profitable since they have seen bull runs and bear markets several times. It shouldn't fail them anymore being swing traders.

I still can say I'm profitable as I started with nothing and have hodl and sold some BTC I earned during the bull run.
But I'm sure there are people who have learned in a short period of time just by watching the charts with few indicators.
1852  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canada Requires Pension Funds to Disclose Crypto Risks on: March 30, 2023, 06:43:51 AM

Yep Canada's national government needs to know where they put thier money. Maybe they indeed are going to help the pensioners not to get scammed like the pensioners who invested in Celsius.

Or the government could target those crypto projects soon when they learned that pensioners are linked to some Defi projects.
There are many reasons not to trust Trudeau's government.
1853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one mistake that crypto beginners should be aware of ? on: March 29, 2023, 05:51:12 PM
It's a common mistake even to not newbies in crypto especially when they didn't research which is the most reliable exchange to trade. It's in the trader's interest to be on a platform that they can also trust and can benefit which is why Binance also becomes no.1.

When exchanges started allowing users to stake with them, all other exchanges offer the same to stay in the game. So while some newbies plan to store or stake on exchanges, its best to just chose the one that is almost too big to fail.
1854  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: March 29, 2023, 04:45:11 PM
That is already under way and funny thing is that US caused it Smiley
For example Iraq recently switched to using Yuan because US kept blocking their money after they sold their energy using dollar because they were demanding that US ends its illegal occupation of their country. Now they are using Yuan and their money is no longer blocked/stolen by US regime.

Iraq is trading Oil with China in Yuan and if this deals gets successful then there may be other counties start trading in currency other then USD. For decade USD has acted as a global currency for settling trades.

Abandoning US dollar solves that too, when dollar crashes you'd pay 0.1 Rupee (or even less) for a dollar instead of 283 Wink

We need USD to settle trades atleast for now. Right now LCs (Letters of Credit) are not opening in Pakistan because of acute shortage of USD. Pakistan is at the brink of default because of internal disputes between Army and most popular political party headed by Imran Khan. Atleast there is some miracle we are not expecting anything positive because of Army not willing to conduct elections in the country.

When Russia was sanctioned, every world leader was thinking already whether it could also happen to them particularly the ones in the middle east.
The rise of the Yuan is inevitable already since China is already dominating and it seems all in the Middle East are also abandoning the USD. This is why Isreal is really going to be in big trouble, they should be making peace deals with the countries surrounding them or it will end in a disaster if war breaks in the region.

When one alliance loses in an economic war, it destroys itself. We can see now leaders in Europe are losing thier power like Macron. And probably Sunak soon.
1855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A victory for Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 03:59:27 PM

Balaji is betting on USD to inflate so high that US government will print tons of tons of money that even when 1BTC will have a value of $1M, the buying power of it may not be as $1M today. But obviously, he overdo it becuase it will not happen as instant as 90 days, it may not even happen in 10 years.

His speculation is because of the bank crisis that is happening all over the world. It's not even reported in the media like France raiding a number of banks.
1856  Economy / Gambling / Re: betzus.com ♠Crypto + Fiat Online Casino , Sportsbook , Slots , Games [Big Bonus] on: March 29, 2023, 03:03:14 PM
Welcome to the forum.

From the casino that you are promoting and which will be launched soon, it looks very attractive, plus there is a deposit bonus which is quite large, even reaching a value of 1 Bitcoin and there are 4 times the deposit bonus that is given.
In addition, your casino accepts not only crypto but also fiat currency which can provide more currency options for gamblers who will make deposits.
Your promotional image contains the theme of roulette, cards and dice. Will these three games be the flagship games of your casino?

Sounds too good to be true. But maybe they have huge capital to start with. They would need more than just a signature campaign to build trust when something is not true about this generous deposit bonus offer. More than just the vouches of reputable users.

I have to refresh it over and over because the website seems loaded with huge size images.

1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports do you like bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 29, 2023, 02:40:45 PM

Most that you will see is the NBA, you can be sure there are tons of basketball fans here also expressing thier bet on every match. The NBA threads go to hundred pages already. It's by far one of the sports I have tried as I can easily see people chooses a team to win.

One is also the UFC. Men are men and like combat sports. But I once tried betting on a chess match but was just a test. Apart from the list, it's Boxing that is very much easier to be dragged.
1858  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please be aware, Bibox exchange is scamming people! on: March 29, 2023, 02:34:56 PM
Seeing these tags in coingecko and coinmarketcap, you're not the only one op. In addition, there's also a swarm of withdrawal complaints since last year on their twitter- most of the comments are about it.

We have received some reports from users being unable to withdraw funds from Bibox. Please exercise caution and DYOR while trading.

We have received reports from multiple users being unable to withdraw funds from this exchange. Please exercise caution while trading and always DYOR.

That being said, the whole situation doesn't seem like a day-to-day problem we see all the time, there's a good chance it's deliberately done... Can you share your chats with the support? you can upload it in any image hosting websites.

Even the Gecko and CMC are already prompting a warning to this exchange. I have not used them, but whenever something like a warning from coin rank listings, you have to believe something is wrong with that exchange.

OP may not already have to post pieces of evidence, after all, he is just warning users.
Crazy to still see someone drifted to an exchange that isn't very known. It couldn't be possible that Bibox will be the top result of a google search.
1859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 28, 2023, 05:35:35 PM
^
I'm sure it depends on which token you are going to stake. Buying them from where the price is way low is a good way to invest while also staking the tokens. And also choosing which token to invest in terms of how or where they're going to be stake.

Some tokens can just be staked within the wallets while some need a platform.  If it's the latter, that's where you have the problem when it comes to the unlocking period. Tokens that can be staked within the wallets are much easier to handle as tokens stays in your wallet.

1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: March 28, 2023, 03:53:26 PM
Do sell when you profit. You can see it's the right thing to do when you already have been in crypto going bull season and bear season because you'll realize all of them are actually selling while if you hold you only lose the money that is supposed to be in your pocket.

The goal is to buy back your coins when the price is cheaper. This is not also easy to do actually but you gotta be doing it since everyone does it. If its an altcoin, don't fall in love with it because the bears will suck out all the money when the time comes.
