961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 07, 2023, 03:42:06 PM
The latest news is Mike Tyson agreed to train Ngannou in his up and coming fight against Tyson Fury, he followed his promise that he would train Ngannou if he had a boxing match coming and this is it, Ngannou had a big knock out punch if Mike can train him to polish his boxing skill and put a good timing in his punches he has a good chance of beating Tyson Fury.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/mike-tyson-fury-francis-ngannou-30621303

I really thought this thread will come up from time to time as the date approaches. Mike stepping up to train Ngannou will really give Ngannou a high chance of making it up there with one shot opportunity. It's gotta be the one shot Ngannou needed to have the greatest story ever for a UFC fighter to climb up to stardom.

I thought Mike to train Ngannou was just an idea but they were indeed started training already.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: August 07, 2023, 03:27:32 PM
Greed also makes us lose everything. Small wins are the trigger, especially when you get the win at the start.

When we get the win at the beginning, that's where the desire to get the big win peaks where we keep increasing the number of bets many times over, running out of deposit balance again to continue chasing big wins. Indeed there are some people after doing this it is not in vain that they get big wins. However, from most of the gamblers that I met when doing this, it was precisely what happened that the wins never came and the money ran out without remainder.

It's good when we can't control our emotions when playing gambling, it would be better if you ask your friends to accompany you to play so someone will make you aware when you lose control.

Some people are just good at following their emotions and sometimes they are able to control themselves with the right timing.

While greed can make you lose money, greed can also be your friend and make you win a fortune.
I have no definite example for it but the majority of the big wins in a lottery I think is just pure luck and often times its a fortune they never could imagine. But the bets on sports betting I think are not pure luck but a combination of luck, greed, and skills.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: August 07, 2023, 07:33:46 AM
Why did I feel guilty for taking a big risk and losing money?
Of course, there are demo accounts for this and you can do it for free, but it doesn't make sense to hang out on demo accounts too much, as there is no point in just satisfying yourself.
There is a money circulation here too and people get caught up in it when they want to make use of it.I have experienced this and I can now tell myself to stop after a certain loss. That is, I realize that I have no chance that day and that I have made a mistake somewhere and I distance myself from it.
Using demo account can be a good idea when you are beginners. It can help you to understand the game firstly, so you know well how to play it on the real game. However, you won't use it forever, it is just a feature for beginners. When you already spent your time weekly or monthly, you must feel bored to use the demo account.

By the way, since it never reflects the real gambling, I never think to utilize the demo account. So far, I directly play the real games and real accounts in gambling. It is the same as in trading, I also directly trade with real accounts in CEX. If I just want to learn how to gamble or how to trade properly, I mostly spend my time to learn some YT videos. I think it is more than enough for learning or get some lessons. But this is my own way, other people may have a different way.

Well, making a mistake is a natural thing, no one never makes a mistake. If you failed to have a good money management in gambling or you became too greedy, just takes a lesson from it and never do it again in the future. Actually, you can continue to gamble again, but makes sure to gamble in a proper way.

The demo account is a gift for beginners.
Here you can bet on anything you want for as long as you want and you will have the chance to test yourself. This way you can test yourself and determine the risks you can take. It is also important to note that you should never spend all of your time here. In order to improve yourself further, you need to know what tactics you can use here and exactly where you prefer to withdraw.
Demo accounts are there purely for self-satisfaction and for beginners to test the waters. That's why it's best to play a limited number of times. So you shouldn't spend too much time on the demo account. When you lose in gambling and you have the ability to stop yourself, you start to win something. It is not an industry that gives you the opportunity to win directly. Since greed is one of the worst emotions in gambling, you need to be careful about greed. Gambling loves greed and can make you lose everything in an instant.

Except there is no thrill in playing under demo account. Eventually, the user will have to dip himself into the risk because there is nothing to gain in continuing in demo mode when there are opportunities to make money.

When he finally deposits an amount, that is when he realizes that playing in demo is very different from the real. It's like the casino is deliberately making you win in a demo account while the real account is where you could actually lose and win. We all do have regrets but in the real game, we learn.
964  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why don't land-based casinos have an online version? on: August 07, 2023, 06:19:15 AM
Having a brick-and-mortar casino and also an online version will probably make the laundering very easy.

But regulators will likely be watching them closely if they try to have an online casino especially if they accept crypto. And it will need another license as well which is not going to be easy to get, unlike the usual Curacao license. And then they will be training new personnel which will be handled with a more technical CEO. I'm also not sure if there is an existing casino with such setup already but I'm sure they do have plans to go online.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 07, 2023, 06:05:00 AM
Just imagine, when a popular fighter retires or stops in UFC because of injury or they are aging, they still have another opportunity to make big money in boxing. The good news is that they can even make bigger money compared to what they earn in UFC.

This is the silver lining that I see in these otherwise boring fights. If you have made a big name in the UFC but you were kicked out and you still want to make more money because you earned much less when you were there, it is an option to shift to boxing and fight some businessmen like the Paul brothers. You don't even need to know how to box like Nate. Aside from your name, you just have to appear very eager to break your opponent's face, throw those awkward punches, showboat a little, taunt your opponent, and that's it. You will make good money.

It would be advantageous for the UFC fighters not to renew their contract while they are a champ in their division because like Ngannou they may have a lose-lose contract from PFL that they can also do boxing while also having a MMA career in PFL. Nate is a retired fighter, he's lucky to have caught the attention of JP that Jake was interested to fight the legendary UFC fighters.

If Jake or the PFL will not be interested in a retired UFC fighter, it's the end of him so there's still a risk to this. Derrick Lewis seems to fall into this category.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 06, 2023, 06:49:41 PM
That fight was pretty much exactly what I thought it was going to be. Nate Diaz is a pretty terrible boxer and that was very clear after the first round. The only thing that really surprised me about the fight was that Jake Paul wasn’t able to cut Nate Diaz. I thought for sure that there would be lots of blood. I guess now we wait for Nate to get his revenge in MMA with a quick chokehold.

They have yet not reached that discussion AFAIK. Although Jake had been training with UFC fighters, it could just be for Nate to hope he can get even. In boxing JP couldn't KO Diaz but in UFC cage, JP will definitely find himself in trouble when he is not in a real MMA fight and being taken down. That is Nate's world already and JP wouldn't put himself in such a situation. And so the reason why it's not in a contract. Nate may be old for boxing but in UFC fight, Nate has more experience. I doubt Jake will agree to fight.
967  Economy / Gambling / Re: NanoGames.io on: August 06, 2023, 06:01:09 PM
Whoa, I'm seeing BC Games vibes from those images.

Still, welcome!

I see Betfury alike site, especially after the roulette popup free spin. They must be using the same game provider.  They are however made for Nano tokens to be their first choice for gaming.

Without any other marketing promotion for this casino, it may just be buried along the ANN threads in this forum without getting sunshine. That's why they created a new ANN thread like this. Anyway, Welcome back to bitcointalk
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 06, 2023, 04:37:35 PM

Hmm, I don't think JP proved anything. He beat a guy on the scorecard that is from another sport and moved 2 weight classes up to get a pay day, that's it.
Did you see the 2 bodies, JP is much bigger, that's a huge advantage in boxing. In MMA Diaz would kill him in 5 minutes.

In boxing JP didn't know him out in 30 minutes, Diaz was only down once.
In my opinion, if you take all these things in account, Diaz looked better than JP. He performed much better than most people expected him to. And even though he didn't really hit hard punches, JP looked pretty beat at the end.

Well, at least ND got paid, that was his main game plan anyway.  Grin

Exactly, I don't understand why a lot of people think that Jake Paul is a great boxer. He got a good record, but all against people from other sports (mainly UFC); the one real boxer he faced (Tommy Fury), he lost against lol. In the end it is all the money, this fight was not a real boxing fight in my eyes but this is a trend these days that will keep going on as people seem interested in it.

During Nate's prime days, he and his brothers claimed to be trained in boxing but it somehow shows it's not true after this fight. It was not pleasant to watch there is no show of footwork or combos. I think Rogan overhyped Nate. Although I'm betting for JP to win, I'm still expecting Nate to show dodging and throw technical counters. But it's all just slugging, the only I could credit is that he has a hard chin to keep charging despite knowing he'd be battered again.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 06, 2023, 04:21:38 PM
Pentingnya judi bagi masyarakat
For the community, gambling is not important, as you said, many people have a bad attitude towards gambling, which means that some people should avoid it. But many of them are playing it.

And I think this topic needs to be changed, not "the importance of gambling for society" it's better if the topic is replaced with "the importance of legalizing gambling" why is that, let me explain this a little.

If gambling is still illegal in a country, then no matter how many people play in it, it will not benefit the community at all, especially for the development of community infrastructure and facilities, because the money will only go to the site owner and the officials or government who back up gambling. illegal. So this is where the need for the legalization of gambling in various countries so that gambling activities can be controlled and provide benefits from the taxes generated.

There are countries made gambling illegal but allow casinos to be established. It's their citizen that is not allowed to gamble but the tourist are free to stake.

Society always draws to games. Back when people are starting to develop a city, it starts in a small place that drives people to stay in this place because it has a coal mine for them to work and make money. It also has a whorehouse with a place drink and gamble.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 06, 2023, 03:27:35 PM

Boys gamble more that's a fact. Even in sports, you can always see it's always the male who performs well like he bet his reputation to win against a rival. It feels like you are worth it.
If a woman also thrives, she must have been influenced by how great the feeling is in winning something.

You know how great it feels when you achieve and did something good for the day, you feel great. Gambling can be compared to it when you predicted the dice or roulette to be in your favor, you win and feels good.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: August 06, 2023, 02:32:04 PM

Nate lasted to the 10th round though. I thought he would really drop dead in the 5th round but he survived it and still walked straight to Jake always aiming for the headbutt.
I can't believe he wasn't KOed though. I guess betting for Jake by KO is not the best decision after all.

Though we expect Jake to win. Nate still got the respect he deserves for making it to the 10th round. He disappointed the bettors who aim to win big by KO.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: August 05, 2023, 05:54:40 PM
~snip~
To me it does not make much sense to follow and watch some gambling streamer to do their thing for hours and hours. It would be better just to which the stream to someone actually doing something more entertainment, like playing a videogame or cooking some stuff, anything but gambling.

It is like playing slots, addictive, but if in the screen happens to show that a jacktop was hit, the only thing one can do celebrate others people money. Nothing for you or me who are just observers.
But that may have been done by someone who wants to watch gambling games and has nothing else to do besides watching. I once saw a friend of mine just sitting in front of the computer, watching a lesson about playing poker, and when I asked how it was going, he replied that he could play poker even though he wasn't very good at it.

But it's really not good for slot games if you just watch the gambling game streaming for hours. Slot games can only be felt when we play alone, so we can know how it feels to play slots using real money. And from watching these streamers, maybe we also want to play the same slot game while saying can I also be lucky like him?

I have always seen poker in a different light, in comparison to other games like slots, it takes actual discipline and some strategy to Excell at poker, there is some strategy on it. Besides, taking online lessons is different from just sitting that see someone play.

In my opinion, Slot streams are rather more about advertisement than entertainment. It is more likely someone would feel like trying the same casino and slot game they have seen on a stream, instead of going for some random option.

At least, while watching poker one can learn, right? There is no much to learn in pure luck bases games.

Agree. Poker is fun to watch and you can learn how they manage to win with shitty cards. Slot is no way fun unless you are the ones playing.

Even just watching the faces of the Poker players while deciding whether to fold or call are already fun. Thats why poker tournameng are being televised like reality tv because of it.

Congrats! Wishing you more years to come. You must be an OG. Ever notice the older you get, the lesser you see the old users in the forum?

2 013 is the time where people are still skeptical of Bitcoin. The users in the first few years of BTC are often the guys curious what BTC can do and give away 0.05BTC for a comment.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 05, 2023, 05:16:06 PM
Crowd gathers when theres a casino house in the area/city. Only means people are socializing and casino houses is a place to meet people from higher places and meet friends. Thats one benefit besides entertainment.

Just take MGM grand as an example in Vegas where big boxing matches usually are held. The city becomes a tourist spot also.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another red day on: August 05, 2023, 03:39:45 PM

Prices are not plunging down like 10-20% though. Its often red every week but RSI is actually showing the lines almost in the bottom particularly in the daily chart. It could burst up the next couple of weeks I guess going up to 32k-34k.

This is the part in the bear market where our patience goi g to dry out as cryptocurrencies are goi g to be uninteresting due to the sideways movement for months.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: August 05, 2023, 03:31:38 PM
When it comes about getting updates, football being the most recognized and populous fans sport in the world, it is very easy to get updates from people around us about football than when we play other games and bet sports and games that are not common, but in football, we can easily get the best updates going and use any of the informations received to bet base on how we understand the formation of the info received since football is very common unlike other sports.

What you are saying to an extent is correct if you are surrounded by people who are into football. In my country people are crazy about cricket and the local media does keep us updated. Apart from cricket, football does intrest me but it is not easy for me to keep a track of all leagues. That is why I follow only one league and place bet on matches where I feel confident. In case of cricket I am not selective or saturated to one league. I am following multiple league as I am more updated due to my surroundings.

I am a fan of football myself but I don't really follow many leagues but only the major ones.
I think getting updates on any sport has become very easy these days since there are sites out there which do these jobs.
Especially doing live matches, there are sites which gives live updates and so I think getting updates for matches which are not live yet should be fairly easy.

With the use of internet you can easily locate the update that you wanted to know, just be very careful in sorting those trusted website as there are website that just alluring readers, chances that update are only to gather attentions and to advertise gambling site that they are link and have referrals, even you see available information never to dwel in a single site but to check other venue to make sure that you'll be able to confirm or to have better understanding before deciding to place your bets.
Getting any sport information from the internet has been made so easy with the availability of countless sports sites to grab any piece of updating regarding our very sport of interest but at same time being careful not to fall for paid advertised sites is very much to be worried about.
Away from the internet my another reliable source of update about my favorite sport is from the local radio stations in my country through their sports analysts that takes time to analyze issues regarding different sports. Football for instance they make an objective analysis of the forms of different football clubs and their challenges which helps a lot for me in deciding how to place my bets on those clubs as I am a football enthusiast.

Almost all sports today have their own forum which users like you can participate and see updates shared by the guys with same interest. Places like this forum itself is where you fit in. You don't even have to explain in details what you are saying, users have same experiences.

And theres youtuber to follow as well. Once subcribed to a channel, you get notification every single video.

977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Do You Of Think My Predictions On This Multi Bet Ticket ? on: August 05, 2023, 03:17:45 PM

Its your bet. If you have won jeremy's multibet threads, you might be lucky to make it on the bookmakers as well. It takes a special kind of dedication when you go try doing it on different sports though.

I get it you have been following multiple sports but having completely 2 different sports seem too much for me.  UFC and boxing at least are still like combat sports but also football?
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 05, 2023, 02:58:49 PM

Fight night is always like this, I often skip betting but when there is nothing else to bet on I'm force to look at what these fighters can do and then watch highlights of their UFC career on youtube and their records. If I just have the biggest tv screen, i will still watch even Bellator event.

Main event is considerably good. Andrade vs Suarez might just be the fight of the night.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 05, 2023, 01:07:45 PM
^
You're basically just saying withdraw small amount so casino will not asks for your KYC. Thats hoping they will actually not ask but in the future even when you are just withdrawing 0.05 they may be asking for your data. You are right about it though. I don't have huge funds in my accounts so stake is not asking my KYC.

But the best solution avoid KYC is to justplay on decentralized casino. The problem however is you just don't know when they will start scaming.
980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are crypto currency exchanges doing to foster crypto adoption? on: August 04, 2023, 07:18:09 PM

Exchanges facilitate the market of cryptocurrencies, they already helped in increasing the price when in Bullrun they allow users to buy and sell. They also serve as the gateway for fiat to be used in buying cryptocurrencies in their market, they bring money into the market especially the users who are buying thru their debit/credit cards.

But if you are talking about the adoption at the merchant level, we are far from it I think. In my city alone I can only count a few stores accepting BTC.
