1861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 30, 2023, 05:02:19 PM
Israel Adesanya is going to be out for revenge in this match. And we have seen him perform really well when he is out for revenge previously. So I think revenge is something that makes anyone a lot more dangerous. That is probably the same thing going to happen here. In the upcoming fight between him and Alex Pereira, I say Israel Adesanya is going to be the winner.
Don't really want to make any statement about Jones. He could have been so much better if he just was a little more hard-working and serious about his career.

This is what is good in the UFC because they settle it quickly as soon as possible the re-match is because the fire on the emblem is still on and the memory of the fight of these two good fighters is still fresh. They need to fight once more to finish their rivalry and we will see more amazing actions from these two. I think Adesanya is still traumatized about his loss and he won't gonna recover in the first round until he gets to realize that Alex Pereira is still just a normal opponent just like the others that he fought before. and when that happens, I'm sure his performance will be boosted and his chance to win will be high at that moment.

It seems like fate is really playing bettors as well when we see Adesanya still is more favored by bookies. Since then it's always Adensanya that people are betting to win but a big disappointment every time. I'm starting to believe he is in love with Alex.  Cheesy

Pereira had done it 3 times already against Izzy, once in Kickboxing. Pereira is Izzy's nightmare that doesn't go away and he may do it many times more.

1862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: March 30, 2023, 04:39:52 PM

To people in this forum that had been in crypto for almost 10 years, they should be profitable since they have seen bull runs and bear markets several times. It shouldn't fail them anymore being swing traders.

I still can say I'm profitable as I started with nothing and have hodl and sold some BTC I earned during the bull run.
But I'm sure there are people who have learned in a short period of time just by watching the charts with few indicators.
1863  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canada Requires Pension Funds to Disclose Crypto Risks on: March 30, 2023, 06:43:51 AM

Yep Canada's national government needs to know where they put thier money. Maybe they indeed are going to help the pensioners not to get scammed like the pensioners who invested in Celsius.

Or the government could target those crypto projects soon when they learned that pensioners are linked to some Defi projects.
There are many reasons not to trust Trudeau's government.
1864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one mistake that crypto beginners should be aware of ? on: March 29, 2023, 05:51:12 PM
It's a common mistake even to not newbies in crypto especially when they didn't research which is the most reliable exchange to trade. It's in the trader's interest to be on a platform that they can also trust and can benefit which is why Binance also becomes no.1.

When exchanges started allowing users to stake with them, all other exchanges offer the same to stay in the game. So while some newbies plan to store or stake on exchanges, its best to just chose the one that is almost too big to fail.
1865  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: March 29, 2023, 04:45:11 PM
That is already under way and funny thing is that US caused it Smiley
For example Iraq recently switched to using Yuan because US kept blocking their money after they sold their energy using dollar because they were demanding that US ends its illegal occupation of their country. Now they are using Yuan and their money is no longer blocked/stolen by US regime.

Iraq is trading Oil with China in Yuan and if this deals gets successful then there may be other counties start trading in currency other then USD. For decade USD has acted as a global currency for settling trades.

Abandoning US dollar solves that too, when dollar crashes you'd pay 0.1 Rupee (or even less) for a dollar instead of 283 Wink

We need USD to settle trades atleast for now. Right now LCs (Letters of Credit) are not opening in Pakistan because of acute shortage of USD. Pakistan is at the brink of default because of internal disputes between Army and most popular political party headed by Imran Khan. Atleast there is some miracle we are not expecting anything positive because of Army not willing to conduct elections in the country.

When Russia was sanctioned, every world leader was thinking already whether it could also happen to them particularly the ones in the middle east.
The rise of the Yuan is inevitable already since China is already dominating and it seems all in the Middle East are also abandoning the USD. This is why Isreal is really going to be in big trouble, they should be making peace deals with the countries surrounding them or it will end in a disaster if war breaks in the region.

When one alliance loses in an economic war, it destroys itself. We can see now leaders in Europe are losing thier power like Macron. And probably Sunak soon.
1866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A victory for Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 03:59:27 PM

Balaji is betting on USD to inflate so high that US government will print tons of tons of money that even when 1BTC will have a value of $1M, the buying power of it may not be as $1M today. But obviously, he overdo it becuase it will not happen as instant as 90 days, it may not even happen in 10 years.

His speculation is because of the bank crisis that is happening all over the world. It's not even reported in the media like France raiding a number of banks.
1867  Economy / Gambling / Re: betzus.com ♠Crypto + Fiat Online Casino , Sportsbook , Slots , Games [Big Bonus] on: March 29, 2023, 03:03:14 PM
Welcome to the forum.

From the casino that you are promoting and which will be launched soon, it looks very attractive, plus there is a deposit bonus which is quite large, even reaching a value of 1 Bitcoin and there are 4 times the deposit bonus that is given.
In addition, your casino accepts not only crypto but also fiat currency which can provide more currency options for gamblers who will make deposits.
Your promotional image contains the theme of roulette, cards and dice. Will these three games be the flagship games of your casino?

Sounds too good to be true. But maybe they have huge capital to start with. They would need more than just a signature campaign to build trust when something is not true about this generous deposit bonus offer. More than just the vouches of reputable users.

I have to refresh it over and over because the website seems loaded with huge size images.

1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sports do you like bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 29, 2023, 02:40:45 PM

Most that you will see is the NBA, you can be sure there are tons of basketball fans here also expressing thier bet on every match. The NBA threads go to hundred pages already. It's by far one of the sports I have tried as I can easily see people chooses a team to win.

One is also the UFC. Men are men and like combat sports. But I once tried betting on a chess match but was just a test. Apart from the list, it's Boxing that is very much easier to be dragged.
1869  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please be aware, Bibox exchange is scamming people! on: March 29, 2023, 02:34:56 PM
Seeing these tags in coingecko and coinmarketcap, you're not the only one op. In addition, there's also a swarm of withdrawal complaints since last year on their twitter- most of the comments are about it.

We have received some reports from users being unable to withdraw funds from Bibox. Please exercise caution and DYOR while trading.

We have received reports from multiple users being unable to withdraw funds from this exchange. Please exercise caution while trading and always DYOR.

That being said, the whole situation doesn't seem like a day-to-day problem we see all the time, there's a good chance it's deliberately done... Can you share your chats with the support? you can upload it in any image hosting websites.

Even the Gecko and CMC are already prompting a warning to this exchange. I have not used them, but whenever something like a warning from coin rank listings, you have to believe something is wrong with that exchange.

OP may not already have to post pieces of evidence, after all, he is just warning users.
Crazy to still see someone drifted to an exchange that isn't very known. It couldn't be possible that Bibox will be the top result of a google search.
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 28, 2023, 05:35:35 PM
^
I'm sure it depends on which token you are going to stake. Buying them from where the price is way low is a good way to invest while also staking the tokens. And also choosing which token to invest in terms of how or where they're going to be stake.

Some tokens can just be staked within the wallets while some need a platform.  If it's the latter, that's where you have the problem when it comes to the unlocking period. Tokens that can be staked within the wallets are much easier to handle as tokens stays in your wallet.

1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: March 28, 2023, 03:53:26 PM
Do sell when you profit. You can see it's the right thing to do when you already have been in crypto going bull season and bear season because you'll realize all of them are actually selling while if you hold you only lose the money that is supposed to be in your pocket.

The goal is to buy back your coins when the price is cheaper. This is not also easy to do actually but you gotta be doing it since everyone does it. If its an altcoin, don't fall in love with it because the bears will suck out all the money when the time comes.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: History of Crypto Gambling: What is the closest/best successor to Directbet.eu? on: March 28, 2023, 07:43:10 AM

Nothing close to it this time. Even when the casino claims to be running on blockchain, somehow they ask users to register. But there are casinos where you can only connect your metamask, this I guess is the closest but are using ETH.

It might actually be popular if there is another betting site like Directbet.eu again even with a not so favorable odds. Because at least you can be sure that no KYC procedure is to follow. Now that there is LN, I think it should be a good time to have something like this.

It's the b building of its reputation however that will make it difficult to kickstart. Unlike before we are ready to just jump in and bet since the scammers are yet not exploiting the blockchain industry.
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: <POLL> What Kind of Bitcoiner are You? on: March 28, 2023, 03:10:19 AM

I've seen Maximalists still discussing and investing in some altcoins, or it could be they are receiving airdrop but I've seen some also investing in ETH and other altcoins. But probably will just dump the altcoins before the bull run stops. You still can consider them investors in some altcoins as long as they are early as possible that they could buy altcoins at $0.001. Not very different from the short sellers at penny stocks.

1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 28, 2023, 03:01:32 AM

Whether the CBDC is accepted it not, I do not think it'll enhance the economy or reduce the current inflation.
It is not a crypto currency afterall. But I think it'll be easier to adopt the CBDC as legal tender than to adopt crypto currency.

CBDC is developed by the government of course it will be adopted as an alternative to the real fiat we use right now. Basically, it's what we are going to be using, it's going to be normalized and we can use it anywhere including gambling online.

But they do have digital control of your spending, if they see you spend more on gambling I guess they can turn off your app to not work on casinos and you can only buy Mcdonald's chips.  Grin
1875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public Perspective towards Bitcoin on: March 28, 2023, 02:45:18 AM

It would change thier minds if their government itself is regulating it and not putting negative thoughts about BTC. And then the media will follow once they see its legal to use BTC in the country.

Bitcoin is almost there though. You can see more people right now already knows BTC or any other crypto. There is no negative news about it anymore but coming from governments are regulators.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 27, 2023, 05:50:33 PM
I don't think Canelo though is like avoiding him, it is just Benavidez at this point in his career hasn't beaten anyone to deserved a Canelo shot specially at the super middleweight wherein Canelo clean that division already. While Canelo seems to be looking to cement his legacy, Benavidez is climbing and looking for fight that will give him the biggest paycheck.

Benavidez even thinks that he can really beat Canelo at the point of his career that's why he worked hard in getting to where he is now.

He's really aiming for Canelo, and that's what fueled his determination to take down Caleb Plant at the bad and worst situation as possible.

Just less than a day waiting and we will now witness the fight between Benavidez and Plant main event, March 25th.

Benavidez manage to beat Plant via decision, unexpectedly but yes Plant survive the entire rounds but lose the fight in a 3 judges decision all in favor of Benavidez, now it will be a good hypes for this heavy puncher monster to call for Alvarez though we know that it will be a negotiation between two camps and how the promoters will bring the offers to attract both camps to sign a contract.

Congrats to all those bettors who bets and win the main event between Plant vs Benavidez!

Alvarez is too busy, LOL, he had John Ryder in his plate right now and then a Bivol rematch. yes, we want to see Alvarez vs Benadivez, all Mexican brawl but Canelo will not give him that fight for now.

On the other hand, might be good for Benavidez to just continue his reign of terror as co-champion with Alvarez at the WBC body.

Maybe he will have this chance later or next year, just keep a busy year and fight someone in the top 3 of their rankings like Christian Mbilli  to proved his case against Alvarez.

Alvarez vs Benavidez will not happen if Alvarez losses to Ryder or Bivol. Benavidez winning against Plant may give a higher possibility for Alvarez-Benavidez fight but as you stated, there is a lot on the plate of Alvarez right now.  We might see them fighting after a year or two, probably if Alvarez is able to retain his title.

Of course, the only reason why David Benavidez is interested to Canelo is because the latter got all the belts and it's not a personal vendetta or what that we could somehow say that regardless of the outcome of Canelo's future battle, Benavidez will always want to get his chance but that's not the case. Benavidez is seeking for the belts and whoever got that will surely be chased by him, even if that means chasing Bivol as he already stated recently that he is also eyeing for the WBA champion, Dmitry Bivol.

Everybody wants to get a chance to face a champ, every tough guy aims for the biggest prize to get fame. Canelo is fixed on Bivol though. It's the rematch that he wants.

Fans always want Canelo to fight someone after defeating one but this time he is the one who is asking. If he is going to be defeated by Benavidez, Canelo might not ever have the chance to fight Bivol.
1877  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 27, 2023, 02:53:27 PM
-snip-
Bitcoin doesn't seem to be in a direct thread, but if they go after stablecoins (to kill the competition and make a room for CBDC) the entire market will likely get hit.

This is something I'm quite worried about because if the government feels that they have done all kinds of ways to discredit cryptocurrency and it doesn't work, they will turn to manipulating the crypto market, whether it's by going after stablecoin providers or making negative news which it will have a negative impact on the crypto price. The point is how the government makes the crypto market a volatile market, untrusted and makes many people not interested in investing in this market.

CBDC is coming. Although there are officials trying to stop it, it's going to roll as planned and SEC sending messages like this one is just one example of how they are going to make CBDC reliable money while crypto is not. They are excluding BTC so Bitcoin is good.

On the other side of the fence, dollarization is happening in every corner of the world and it's not picked up by the media so there is something big that is coming and stablecoin might really be broken as well.
1878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 27, 2023, 02:41:52 AM
I think that here in Venezuela the government only taxes the casinos and places where people gamble, the operators and owners of those places. It is between 10-15% of casino winnings.

On the other hand, I have not heard or seen people being taxed from their winnings, so I am not sure if it happens, it probably does not, since our government is more used to taxing businesses over individuals.

Taxation here is also difficult to enforce and track on individuals as well.

That's what I know too. Same for the state government lottery where people who won will have to pay huge taxes for it. I was thinking why they would tax those when it's already from the government. People who are buying lottery tickets are already helping the government by participating but they were still taken advantage of after winning.

The real casinos will have no complains about the taxes, they are businesses no different from those malls and stores.
1879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What your opinion? on: March 27, 2023, 02:26:56 AM

Try not to invest everything and leave something or your savings. Sometimes things don't go well and you still have some funds that aren't declining fast.
Let's say you bought BTC for a long-term hold. Its an investment don't try to depend on it but keep your job still since you need it more than your investment. Or if you have a business, then keep your business running.
1880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The End of the Bitcoin Mixing Service, Should We Worry about Our Privacy? on: March 27, 2023, 02:15:29 AM
When Bestmixer was seized, around the same time Bitblender which was one of the biggest mixers also stopped Business, but this did not stop other mixers from taking over and thriving
How many mixers were seized in history? Only two (BestMixer and ChipMixer) or more than two in history?

Quote
Closure of Chipmixer is not the end of Bitcoin Mixing service. More will always pop up. In fact, as we speak, there are a handful of trustworthy alternatives. For example, cryptomixer is no small mixer and has been in operation since 2016.
I think so but governments will not stop their hunt for 'illegal' mixers. They will even enforce more law regulations against mixers. I don't think mixers will be eliminated completely but they will be challenged more by governments.

Maybe governments will enforce some requirements on mixers and allow their operations but how is what I don't know. They can not ask license on business which they consider as illegal.

They will keep shutting down and I think even those wallets like wasabi or the coinjoin might also be attacked one day. They already figured these services can't be stopped so I wouldn't be surprised if the government itself will launch thier own mixing service secretly to get the database of users who are using these services. They probably have one already.
