BUMP! would you guys mind paying up to allow us to continue working with BTE we have a few sites in line willing to accept BTE as payment method but would like some BTE to start off
EDIT: do you guys have a way to get in contact with the original dev id like to get the original bytecoin site up. Also would you guys pm me if youre interested in a merged mining pool so i can add you to the list. we are currently working on 4 nodes 2xpushpoo/stratum and 2x p2pool based. so if you guys would be willing to donate some BTC to get hold of some servers it would be appreciated. We have some sites waiting to accept BTE one is bitgrenade another is a site design company by serversides.

Pool Testers Wanted Updated First Post!
nice idea, would you mind sending me your code
weird i'll have to look into that we've all managed to connect fine. and all the nodes are dedicated aswell

around 20 people have asked for the new client. Beta testing slots are now closed. Could you guys try it out then get back to me with an update on what you think of the client and the ability to merge mine. Also what you guys would think of a huge pool offering the merge mining, of the following coins together:
BTC BTE IXC I0C GG NMC DVC
if the general consensus is to go ahead and people are willing to donate towards the fund to hire some dedicated servers, the plans will go ahead and we will launch the pool

some people do it for R&D like me and the rest of the team, mistercoin and me dont hold any BTE or an asic. Personally im doing it for the fun of it and i decided rather than releasing another coin i could just work on one which is already released and people still use even if not popular

thanks bro much appreciates with get the ledger up tomorrow
yeah the bytecoin diff isnt too bad my pool finds 3 blocks a day at around 4gh

im not quite sure on what you mean there, but i dont run a bitcoin daemon myself far too bloated for any of my normal pc's. But anyways mine is just the bitcoin client with the merged mining patches which doubleC produced which has then been modified to fit bytecoin's configuration. so this may lead me to believe that its actually using the merge mining mechanism which is included in bitcoin unless doubleC wants to correct me. Although i know in comparison to the previous bytecoin client my new version which i produced contains various new rpc calls such as getauxblock getauxwork and buildmerkletree which never existed before

i reckon the daemons themselves should be patched. shows support for the coin and ensures that the coin should be up to date. e.g. because of the patch i updated the checkpoints to around 50 blocks ago. aswell as rebased on the latest bitcoin

yep we got a team together to work on it. Now that the client has been updates the next plan is to get more services. we'll be getting a major pool together but we'll definitly need some donations, i reckon if we do get it up, itll be more profitable than mining bitcoin itself with an asic

right yeah i understand. just looked through the merged mining proxy code
it should be able to yes, although i havent tried it like that, ive only tried it as the main chain.
