"We feel the Proof of Work (PoW) model is broken," said Mark' "We're seeing now with the large Bitcoin farms in China, the arms race has gotten to the point where mining is a zero sum game."

"By starting semi-centralized with ionomy.com"

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ionomy-gaming-platform-seeks-entice-172602645.html?soc_src=mediacontentstory&soc_trk=tw

When your "people" can show such a fundamental lack of understanding of the mining process and then to pad out their excuse reason for steering away from it with the same twaddle Mr Ganza used, the alarm bells should have been ringing. That and the fact the team involved were incompetent with XPY, why would anyone ever believe they were going to be of any use in another "Coin" environment.

Chasing these rainbows may be fun, but the wake of destruction they leave behind is not quite so amusing.

With great power (and a lot of believing Twitter followers) comes great responsibility. It's not a choice, it's just the way things have developed, sometimes even cultured. To underestimate the power of the medium shows a lack of foresight or attention, quite possibly both. But this is easy to fix as I see some have recently tried to do Smiley

I strongly recommend Andreas book "Mastering Bitcoin" to understand the true fundamentals of what makes Bitcoin, Bitcoin. When you understand the technology in this way then your appreciation for Alts doesn't diminsh, but it does make you a whole heap more discerning when choosing to jump onboard a gravy train.

The ethics of it all? I'll leave for another day Wink

This is great.

I thought, with ganza gone, this thing would wither and die.

It just keeps kicking up new interesting lunatics, illiterates and scammers.  Amazing stuff.

So, there's the ganza brothers, carmello, valhadawallaballa, carson 540 clock, now this lunatic with a scat fetish.

I hope this thread never dies, I really do :-)

Ah finally an objective wise person that has realized what they have "invested" in. You are no longer invested in Crypto Currency, but consider your "investment" as prepaid entertainment expenses, like prepaying your cable bill for a year or a 100 or a 1000 years in advance and in return you get to watch the current series of shows being offered

Drama's  As The Paycorn Turns
or
Reality TV Keeping up with the Ganza's
or
Mystery Episodes The GAWKSTER Files
or
late night infomercials HASHTHINGIES Always make Money
or
Tourism shows Touring Non Extradition Countries on a budget
or
Religious themed shows Like TELEVANGILIST JOSHYPOO  hosted series

and there will be many new series in the future, for instance right now there is one in production that  based on court room drama,  coming in the new season.

So sit back and enjoy your "investment".

"The birthplace of cryptocurrencies"

oh please

Arrogant?
Presumptious?
Factually incorrect?
BS?

Parasitical copy at best. Riding on the coat tails of years of work by many, professing to be a beacon/sentinel of Crypto currency advocacy. HA fkin ha

One day you will learn that the world prefers to use the term Digital Currency. Crypto is geeky and marginal... but of course as the "birthplace" you already knew that... tsk! amateurs
1885  Other / Off-topic / Re: Things to do in Dubai on: May 09, 2015, 10:30:14 PM
I was in Dubai recently ...

And I'm due to go back in the near future to complete a business deal there.

Last time was all a bit "on the hoof" as it were due to my only being there for a few days and lots of meetings to organise.

Next time however will be a tad more leisurely..... time to have a look around and stake hang out.

Made some good contacts out there too, people have had a heads up  Wink

EDIT: Has a bloody big Aquarium in the worlds largest Mall there..

And yes, that Tower is HUUUGE!

And looks good at night while having dinner at the Marina Smiley

.... I am quiet sure the investigators are taking notice and having a serious meeting over that statement also! What a blithering idiot Josh is!
I think they're probably pissing themselves with laughter at the repeated ineptitude of the boy. It's comical to say the least. Although I also imagine even they get tired of the inane drivel that intersperses the nuggets of pure gold.

Might have to move over to Diera soon eh? Jameirah gets a little pricey after a while.

Homero says "fuck your transparency":

of course Josh knows who the guys are. Why wouldn't he know who the guys in this totally independent group are.

Is this a new record, he almost made it 24 hours without revealing that he is behind the new shell company thrown up as a distraction.

This needs tagging with the little SEO story that was made. Add the two together and I believe you would never fail to see this horror story at the top of the listings.

And yes, I agree with the alleged Fraud accusations over the 9/11 Hashlets. I would have thought that Cantor would seek to get to the bottom of  this fast and make some kind of statement distancing themselves from this. It's not the biggest bug on their windscreen but embarrassing nonetheless.

Toads like Ganza should not be allowed to profiteer from the events of that day or the pain of those still suffering as a result of them. Despicable behaviour.

Garza's gonna Garza. He appears to be a pro at this with little to no shame, so you the SEO stuff won't bother him while he's counting his money. SEO bomb Cantor/Fraser/9-11 scam and you may get somewhere. Start typing cantor fitzgerald into google, it tries to autofill 9/11 and their relief fund is a top result, they won't be happy with a whiff of fraud and it's the only way to get results besides waiting for the government (which probably won't be able to get much money back to users.)
Lets be honest though, these kind of people have "friends". If the smell of Fraud starts wafting their way, Mr Ganzas ability to stay places might get a tad more "difficult". Big Money, when angry, can make some subtle yet useful things happen when they need to. Don't even have to break laws to make it happen.

That's part of the fun in this Game of Coins

House of The Foundation - The Bolt-ons
House of TPC - The Freys - real trust worthy types....
House of Hidden Primes - The Assassins
House of Truth - The Alphabet group - slower but still deadly....
House of GAW - The Lannisters
House of Fraser - The Iron Bank
House of Ganza - Some long lost son of Tywin, probably a blend of an unspoken Iron Bank liason

When will this drama end? Do you want it to? Do you know how it ends? Who's the Fall guy? Does the Iron Bank reach back into the deserts of Dorn for $2m? Intrigue within intrigue? Is the House of Ganza now resident in Dorn?

To know that Cryptsy were involved with Ganza in October also seals it for me. This will not and cannot end well.

We know there are multiple Alphabets all over the Ganza show, there's no reason to think otherwise now with Cryptsy. Knowing this, is reason enough to remove any funds from their platform as it could be seized or shut down at any time.

In all of the things I've seen and read lately, this stands up there as one of the shadiest parts of the picture. Even if the original intent was pure, Ganza has trashed that for them and dragged them through all sorts of shite past present and future.

Again, there cannot be anything good come of this. It's not hard to connect the dots and it seems the more Cryptsy say in their defence, the more the leaked emails cough up and destroy the "we're the good guys" speeches.

Maybe someone at Cryptsy will finally small that coffee and realise this is toxic and the best thing to do now is damage limitation by expunging all connections to Ganza and XPY and prepare for a bumpier ride than usual. There may will be trouble ahead !
1896  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 27, 2015, 09:09:11 AM
Strikes me that to take on a Prime was an ill-conceived, ill-considered and ill-researched idea that, if nothing else, has placed Cryptsy firmly in the cross hairs of the Alphabets, if they weren't there already. With alleged money laundering by Ganza, Ganzas heavy use and promotion of Cryptsy, it will not end well there I suspect. There was talk last year that there were to be some major actions within the world of crypto imminent, and then things went quiet...
Cryptsy may have had to field issues with one or two of the Alphabets before, but I'll take an educated guess and say that once up to speed they will be in every slot, groove, cranny and nook Cryptsy have.
As with this entire farce, there are still many Acts yet to go..
Cryptsy aside, the SEC did go after a number of businesses and shut them down/fined them due to illegally selling shares (IPO's). I want to say somewhere in the 50-60 range of businesses. I'm trying to find the article now. Maybe this is what you are referring to.
In Sept 2014, they had 4 major investigations going on. One in Texas for fraudulent sales of investment vehicle that would give 7%/week, one in Florida for cash in excess of $10k for bitcoin as money laundering, Silk Road trying to say Bitcoin wasn't money, and.... I'm thinking the other one was in California maybe as a unregistered money transmitter? I can't find the article right now that went through all of them, just remember that at the same time as Garza was spinning up his scam, there were at least 3 cases that could relate directly to his activities.  Don't remember seeing 50-60 businesses getting busted on unregistered securities?
Here it is, however I still seem to remember 50-60 companies somewhere. This is related to the inquiries, so maybe what im thinking of was the fines themselves.  https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/sec-sends-inquiry-letters-hundreds-bitcoin-companies-unregistered-securities/
Wasn't that approx the number of darkweb drug sites that were taken down around that time last year?  Possibly that you're confusing this with?
Grrr this is going to bug me now lol.

If I remember correctly there was mention of about 10 organisations, some exchanges, that were in the firing line of investigators and the Alphabets. It was around the time that Coinbase and a few others changed their TOS to fit the new US rulings. Any account that didn't verify itself got nuked... so, a part of that time frame, and a drive by some to get up to "regulatory speed"

I'm not convinced anything came of those statements at the time as it would make more sense for time to pass so the investigation was more complete..... kind of heading in to the time of 'now' for more action to be seen as a result of those efforts made... I could be wrong but that scratchy feeling at the back of the neck says I may be right... but then, a large part of this GAw collapse has "inevitable" written all over it, you don't need  Magic 8 Ball to know the outcome of this sorry saga.

Anyone still promoting a Prime with a stake rate of anything above 1% clearly doesn't understand crypto, doesn't understand economics and clearly has no sense of the shit show that IS XPY.

Reputational damage has now been done to a number of parties and I suspect, the longer people hang on to the notion that the Prime infrastructure is a good idea, the longer this painful demise will be. While entertaining on one level, it isn't a good view from the outside.

I have yet to see one good argument for maintaining stake rates above 1% for ANY wallet not just a prime. Why? Because there is NONE. Period. Those who actually understand these things will, and invariably do, agree. It's a bad idea and doesn't benefit the coin in any way. Ever.

Ah man, I just havent had the time to go over all this thread as am busy in Dubai doing bitcoin stuff, you know the one, REAL crypto currency not that monstrosity being discussed here. On the hunt tomorrow as I will have a driver for the day Wink I'm coming for you Josh... and I have another reason to hunt you.... you made me say the dirty words..... "I like Apple" why? Because their NSA approved tracking tech is watching you....and so am I ....

As for JM: Boned  - thoroughly. The crickets have spoken..... I too would like the answer about the photo of miners. And to STILL defend the 100% staking proves beyond doubt to me that he is clueless about crypto. In fact anyone that says it's a good idea really doesnt get it. Defending the indefensible..... good luck with that.

This coin is dead. It has no future. I've said before and I'll say again, it's done, it's over, get over it. No self respecting business, organisation or otherwise will want anything to do with it. It's the laughing stock of the industry (what few people do know of it that is) and the people still trying to "help it survive" do nothing other than damage (further) any reputation they have left.

In essence I agree with the majority of Paul Reveres standpoint although I may be a little less vociferous about it. But he is right, this coin is toxic and some of the personalities that have turned up to defend their positions are also laughable. Clueless about the business of crypto, no comprehension of the real world applications and dreamers still high on Kool Aid. Sorry but any professional in this space knows that it's over.

But then lets just get really real here for a minute... talk to the world of professional bitcoiners and the large majority dont even know what XPY is. Real BTC business people do not fuck about with Alts because they are a joke.

And to those that have said " this will damage all of crypto..." hahaha methinks you give XPY far too much credit. Dont flatter yourself or XPY, because it's not true and never has been. Think about it, a grand total of what? less than 20k users? Pish.

Step away from the Hype and take a deep breath, spit out the Kool Aid and realise that it was nothing more than a 2 bit player roping in the foolish and deluded, conning the unknowing and deceiving the customers.

And if you want an example of how dicking with the blockchain doesnt work, just take a look at VeriCoin. No one trusts it now as they know it can be rolled back or tinkered with. Once you go down that road its a terminal course. Period. Strikes me people need to learn their topic when it comes to Crypto. To much hope and dreams and not enough reality and sense IMO

It says "zencloud hosting", the precursor to Hashlets. That's when you would buy a miner and it would activate within 24 hours and have 100% uptime, none of which was possible just a few weeks before with GAW's "old" hosting system. This miraculous hosting platform was what prompted me to start this thread (the first version of it).

Those are huge numbers for Zeus hardware (~40-50W per MH/s) plus some other assorted miners, so that's nearly a megawatt... 2-3 months before MS Power installed those transformers. My guess would be that the A2s, Gridseeds, Ants might be real, others - doubtful. Maybe some of them.

Just 5 pages to go.
Weren't there pics of Ganza sitting on the floor with about 7 boxes of grid seeds (boxes of 10)
