They also break into the machines. Thats what junkies do.

If there is no actual cash on site and the bitcoins arent even stored there its less temptation for physical theft.

Don't the staff have plenty of change? The launderette my mate goes to he just asks the owner and they just swap him the money for change.
18842  Other / Meta / Re: petition to rename bitcointalk dogecointalk on: December 21, 2013, 10:55:45 AM
Just ignore the altcrypto board.

The newb section is the worst.

Every time I see that poorly written English I lose the will to live Sad.

I hate the type of people who just regurgitate the same cliche shit without adding anything of their own to the meme. It's the behaviour of absolute morons.
18843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com accepting bitcoin on: December 21, 2013, 10:44:31 AM
Interesting to see how this plays out. Hopefully it'll go well and more retailers will take note. If it goes bad it could be disastrous though. I've never heard of Overstock, so I have no idea how big it is, but any merchant taking Bitcoin is good on the whole.
18844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On a scale of 1-10, how important is Bitcoin in your life? *poll* on: December 21, 2013, 10:42:04 AM
I'd say 6 at the moment. It's a big part, but hasn't taken over my life. Maybe it will in the future though.

It is all important because I'm hodling.

What's hodling?
18845  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Recent Yemeni Drone Strike on Wedding Party of 15 is not CIA's Fault on: December 21, 2013, 10:36:23 AM
I fully agree man, the drones are one of the most terrorizing and cowardly innovations ever released on mankind.

And all because they just don't want to risk losing their own precious soldiers live's, but don't mind wasting the lives of civilians in the process.
18846  Other / Off-topic / Re: Several Silk Road moderators arrested by FBI on: December 21, 2013, 10:33:30 AM
I was never a member of Silk Road myself, but wouldn't members (and especially mods) want to stay away from any iteration of the official Silk Road? Wouldn't they want to jump ship and participate on a or many new sites that were built as competitors (and I guess replacements) to Silk Road?

Why? Silk Road has the rep... it's essentially a brand now. Plus, it takes a lot of time for people to trust these other markets that spring up. People were even paranoid about the new SR being a honeypot, but I'd probably have more trust in a new incarnation of SR than a brand new site coming out of nowhere.
18847  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Former CIA chief: Snowden should be “hanged by the neck until dead” on: December 21, 2013, 10:21:37 AM
First lets do these:

1. Hang the Clintons (both Hillary and Bill) for bombing to death thousands of Serbian children, and then lying about it.

2. Hang George Bush for causing the death of 1 million Iraqis.

3. Hang Obama for bullying every nation in the world, other than the US.

Non of those are treason against the US.

No, but they're all war criminals and committed crimes against humanity. I wonder at what point will the UN will step in?
18848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if your a true believer - on: December 21, 2013, 10:19:30 AM
If you are a true believer you wouldn't care about the price since you use it as a currency not an investment.

We have to care about the price. If it went back to $1, all the investment would stop, there would be no bitcoin ATM machines, no hardware wallets  developed, no incentive for people to develop new services. It would be the end of bitcoin.

I don't think it going back down to $1 would be the end at all. A lot of people would've lost money for sure, but it can and still will be used as a currency and people will still be developing things for and around it. I'm sure it'd rise back up as people bought in anyway. Maybe a lower steady number would be better in the long run for the currency.
18849  Other / Off-topic / Re: Finished watching Breaking Bad?? What next? Any suggestion? on: December 21, 2013, 10:09:02 AM
Luther, a british crime series, Very good acting (same actor played in the wire).

Luther is great, although the last season wasn't as good. I wish Alice was in it more.

Yeah, Alice is great. I heard she was a getting her own spin-off series and a Luther movie is also planned.
18850  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 21, 2013, 10:03:06 AM
Any updates? I don't know if this is dead or not yet.

Will be doing some updates now. Still busy moving & have a very active little girl bouncing about that needs oversight, so my time on Bitcointalk is limited until next week. And there have been a number of new developments in signature-ad-land.

edit: And updated. Updated payouts for some programs. I decided to not add the program btccon linked a few posts up. It pays out in something called PiratCoin, which I have no idea what it is and how to value it (As posted before, I would prefer for payouts to be valued in BTC, so at least the currency paid should have some sort of exchange rate to BTC).

Also decided to still not add bitsplay.ga. There is no solid evidence that payments will be made and the offered rewards are even higher than what TF paid.

People will find out on or around Christmas day if he pays out. It's gonna be interesting.

Update note for primedice
Change to 0.0002 Per Post

Yeah, Stunna has changed his payout system to this. You can still get 0.4, but for 2000 posts now.
18851  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.4BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: December 21, 2013, 09:17:45 AM
Payment amount has been lowered decently due to extremely high demand, sorry for any inconvenience.

Ah, that sucks, that's a massive drop off. Can I make a suggestion? Wouldn't it be better to maybe just cap the users who can sign up to this to a certain amount or only to people who have previously made constructive posts? I think it's unfair to penalise everybody just because of a few fools are trying to play you. Please don't take this of criticism of you personally, as even 0.4 for 2000 posts is still a lot of money and I appreciate it, but I'm sure there's a better way around this.

Well, Im out, there simply not enough BTC for me to continue this service, who can post 2,000 a month, only a auto bot.

I was making over 70 posts a day last round, so that would keep me on track for 2000, but it is a lot of work, but doable.
18852  Other / Meta / Re: petition to rename bitcointalk dogecointalk on: December 21, 2013, 08:46:40 AM
It is only a matter of time before the dogecoin propaganda hits bitcointalk dogecointalk:

Imagine what that guy could've achieved whilst spending time making those images.
18853  Other / Meta / Re: Custom Avatar for myself on: December 21, 2013, 08:43:04 AM
Once the security hole is fixed can theymos re-enable avatars?

I'm sure they will be as soon as the vulnerability is sorted.
18854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is now the best time for new people to invest? on: December 20, 2013, 08:52:34 PM
i suggest the classic sell high, buy low strategy and start a portfolio in currencies you can do a little research on

wow, that didn't last very long.

It's still up and running apparently. Maybe there was a vulnerability in the forum software or something.

Guys I was arrested yesterday and out on bond now. But something is fucked! I know I’m risking more warning you guys and my attorney doesn’t even want me on the internet but you guys need to know this. When I was in the interview room they showed me all sorts of shit that they should not know or have access to including conversations I’ve had with buyers and even [the Silk Road 2.0 administrator known as the Dread Pirate Roberts]. I don’t fucking understand.. and when I was in there I was at a loss for words. Something is definitely wrong and they have the ability to see things on here only mods or admins should like [bitcoin] transfers and a dispute I had.

Maybe they gained access by exploiting the forum avatars like on here haha. Is is interesting to find out how they busted them or got that info. Bet a lot of people are shitting bricks over there right now  Cheesy.
18856  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will be the next great alt coins? on: December 20, 2013, 06:30:25 PM
So far there are 200+ alt coins created, what do you think is the best coin for the future? I am not sure any can really compete with Bitcoin, but the Bitcoin has only 21 million coins, it can not be used as a serious currency that used daily. There are coins created with billions in total, which will be more reasonable to be used in daily life.

Any suggestions of good alt coins?

It doesn't matter that there's only going to be 21 million because they can be divided up down to .00000001.

Good news. I'm surprised it took them this long.

Donated to Tor instead of Wikipedia.

Haha I'm sure they'll be a few people who reason like this.
18859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When can I post outside of newbie section? on: December 20, 2013, 05:44:01 PM
Cant post.  Keeps telling me its been less than 360 seconds, and that is not correct.

Attempted posts and searches count. Also log-ins and messages.

Hey, look what I made. Do with it what you want.  Roll Eyes

Did you really make that, cos it looks kinda cool, or are you BS-ing?  Cheesy

Seriously, I did not make this, just like the OP didn't make his image but, unlike the OP, I CAN make the above with the barn wood I have in stock, sans what's displayed on the shelves.

lol. You should make em and sell 'em on here for BItcoin.
