Interesting to see how this plays out. Hopefully it'll go well and more retailers will take note. If it goes bad it could be disastrous though. I've never heard of Overstock, so I have no idea how big it is, but any merchant taking Bitcoin is good on the whole.

I was never a member of Silk Road myself, but wouldn't members (and especially mods) want to stay away from any iteration of the official Silk Road? Wouldn't they want to jump ship and participate on a or many new sites that were built as competitors (and I guess replacements) to Silk Road?
Why? Silk Road has the rep... it's essentially a brand now. Plus, it takes a lot of time for people to trust these other markets that spring up. People were even paranoid about the new SR being a honeypot, but I'd probably have more trust in a new incarnation of SR than a brand new site coming out of nowhere. |

If you are a true believer you wouldn't care about the price since you use it as a currency not an investment.
We have to care about the price. If it went back to $1, all the investment would stop, there would be no bitcoin ATM machines, no hardware wallets developed, no incentive for people to develop new services. It would be the end of bitcoin. I don't think it going back down to $1 would be the end at all. A lot of people would've lost money for sure, but it can and still will be used as a currency and people will still be developing things for and around it. I'm sure it'd rise back up as people bought in anyway. Maybe a lower steady number would be better in the long run for the currency. |

It pays out in something called PiratCoin, which I have no idea what it is and how to value it (As posted before, I would prefer for payouts to be valued in BTC, so at least the currency paid should have some sort of exchange rate to BTC). Also decided to still not add bitsplay.ga. There is no solid evidence that payments will be made and the offered rewards are even higher than what TF paid. Ah, that sucks, that's a massive drop off. Can I make a suggestion? Wouldn't it be better to maybe just cap the users who can sign up to this to a certain amount or only to people who have previously made constructive posts? I think it's unfair to penalise everybody just because of a few fools are trying to play you. Please don't take this of criticism of you personally, as even 0.4 for 2000 posts is still a lot of money and I appreciate it, but I'm sure there's a better way around this. Well, Im out, there simply not enough BTC for me to continue this service, who can post 2,000 a month, only a auto bot.
I was making over 70 posts a day last round, so that would keep me on track for 2000, but it is a lot of work, but doable. |

I know I’m risking more warning you guys and my attorney doesn’t even want me on the internet but you guys need to know this. When I was in the interview room they showed me all sorts of shit that they should not know or have access to including conversations I’ve had with buyers and even [the Silk Road 2.0 administrator known as the Dread Pirate Roberts]. I don’t fucking understand.. and when I was in there I was at a loss for words. Something is definitely wrong and they have the ability to see things on here only mods or admins should like [bitcoin] transfers and a dispute I had. So far there are 200+ alt coins created, what do you think is the best coin for the future? I am not sure any can really compete with Bitcoin, but the Bitcoin has only 21 million coins, it can not be used as a serious currency that used daily. There are coins created with billions in total, which will be more reasonable to be used in daily life.
Any suggestions of good alt coins?
It doesn't matter that there's only going to be 21 million because they can be divided up down to .00000001. |
