Wow..!@#?  Huh

Haha. What is actually going on in these peoples' heads?

Not a lot I imagine.

Probably, people have life beyond bitcointalk.org?

What is that supposed to mean?

Maybe that they don't spend all their days throughout on the forum here by padding up their post counts, lol?

Regardless, there's still not a lot going on in their heads if they think making 10 posts a month is going to get them any money,

I'll sign the petition
Rape awareness coin is very important

Haha, something tells me you're exactly the right man to start this petition.

Anyone actually trying to contest the idea of this being for the needs of rape victims is a fucking idiot autist.
Obviously this guy is trolling, I understand you guys are upset over the creation of this coin, but do you really
need to contest stuff like this? It's pretty fucking obvious that OP isn't being serious in their posting of that.
You guys are pretty retarded.

he created a poll to whether it should be released due to the controversy..cos he is trying to raise awareness..

RapeCoin - because you can't say no to this coin. Pretty sure he's just trolling.

Well with MemeCoins comes TrollCoins, you must know that, unless you are new to the internet.

You dont know how much I thought about releaseing a real troll coin. Really hype it, and launch it with all the pomp and circumstance of a big coin. And then when ppl start mining it, it has a 0 coin block reward. rofl

Doo it

Won't somebody just check the source code or whatever for this beforehand?
17844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best wallet to start on: January 04, 2014, 12:07:18 PM
Don't trust websites. They can be hacked and lose all your bitcoins(proven in the past with bitfloor, if I recall correctly). I would recommend electrum because it doesn't download the blockchain from the beggining like Bitcoin QT

Yes, but blockchain.info is pretty secure and realiable. It's not some site hosted in Vlads basement in Russia like Wanksta said above.
17845  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drone Air strike kills 15 civilians (on their way to a wedding) in Yemen on: January 04, 2014, 12:06:08 PM
Iv'e read somewhere that this has happened before.

What has happened before?

A drone killing some innocent group of civilians. You can search it up if you like.

Yeah, no shit. Happens almost weekly.
17846  Economy / Services / Re: (Sell) My signature space on: January 04, 2014, 12:01:43 PM
Yep, haven't really seen freelance sig ad offers getting taken up
PD is reliable but payouts have fallen steeply

Looks like they're gonna fall even more after the 17th because of stupid spammers.
I've heard Stunna mention payments according to ones activity. So it's not so bad for members like me

I don't think it'll work like that. It'll be the activity you gain during the month I would've thought.
You can gain 42 activity at max during the month, normally 28 and 0 at minimum. Actually, you can only gain 0,14,28 or at really rare cases 42 activity (if at the end of the month you have slightly less than 14 active days then the during the next month you will get 14 more activity). So metering on that is kind of unpractical.

I don't see how its going to work either. I think just making the rules more stricter and anyone posting spam or crap should be barred from any payment.
They're strict enough. Besides, Stunna can barely keep up with checking at least a few dozens of post of every participant and you're asking for stricter rules. Undecided

We as a community can police it ourselves. Easy to report people for spamming or posting crap.

This is my thought. Why should everyone be punished because of a few ruining it for everyone?
17847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Feathercoin ? on: January 04, 2014, 11:59:55 AM
Feathercoin is now stable at 0.40 USD ! I will invest 100 USD in FTC this week. Do you think is a safe investment ? I need some opinions Tongue

I think FTC are one of the better alts. Made quite a bit of money when they were at $1.40 or so.
17848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My account is a few years old. on: January 04, 2014, 11:54:50 AM
Theymos can tell me that the IPs of registering and the current one are the same for example

As for satoshi he would sign a message with his PGP key

Would Theymos give out that info to you though? And it's likely IP addresses have changed if they haven't used their account in so long.
17849  Economy / Lending / Re: Budding Trader Seeking 3.0 BTC Loan - Collateral Provided/Negotiable on: January 04, 2014, 11:51:33 AM
Pm sent to hilarious

I don't know, but I don't really think I could have made the small sum I did by just being 'lucky'. Luck of certain type follows only when you are prepared to seize the opportunities that come along. I don't think anyone believes opportunities grow on trees, but they aren't the same as trying to catch a falling star either. If someone uses 'lucky' as a word to describe a trading activity, I don't think they are particularly confident about what it means to trade. I dealt in investments before, and getting lucky was pretty much a taboo word, at least where I operated.

In regards to collateral, we can negotiate.

As I said, pm me for any specific questions.

And just because you made some money doesn't mean you can continue making it. Markets can crash then you're left with nothing and no way to pay these loans back. If you're so skilful at investing, keep investing and making your money that way.

also, he's british.. so must be gay and all.

I cannot even fathom any logic behind this statement.

one of your national sports requires men to ride horses; you like tea; the london accent is.. decliate, like a woman. GAY.

also see here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100905190532AAht7bl

What do you mean "London accent"? There's loads of London accents. There's six people all from London in this alone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTj5C_owTFk

that's the frustrating thing about trying to speak brittish.. how many damn accents and dialects do you have? at least 10 or so it seems.

Accents and dialects can differ massively from city-to-city. You American's seem to have more than 10 accents also.

@all

thanks a lot for all tips. I didnt expect so many different. I will now try to read through all of those and I will try first with blockchain wallet.

Make sure to take advantage of their security features. Set up two factor authentication, and put a second password on to be able to spend funds.

17853  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Gambling MarketCap on: January 04, 2014, 11:26:18 AM
Do we know how big the bitcoin gambling community is? Do we have a lets say '2013 bitcoin gambling world marketcap' ?

We know online gambling with fiat was around 6 billion dollars (supposedly there are tons of different numbers out there)

Most of 'em probably wont want to publish these details for various reasons.
17854  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: January 04, 2014, 11:24:09 AM

As for Hobbit 2, it ended up being long, boring and deprived of any interesting story. Ah, well.

No surprise there then.

Hmmm.... My QR reader does not read it, are you sure it does not say soup?

ROFL!

I hate to necro-bump from so long ago, but that was FUNNY!   Smiley

http://www.tvfanatic.com/quotes/why-do-you-have-the-chinese-character-for-soup-tattooed-on-your/

Was wondering what that meant. A lot of those Chinese tats are meaningless or complete crap.

Once you stop being a newbie that should go away

You where right. Now it gives the same warning but not the "you need to wait another 360 secs" again, and i can actually post.

You still have a time limit, so be careful. It just goes down a little with more activity.

Shittiest-run forum on the internet.  You are causing great damage to crypto-currencies by merely being incompetent administrators.  I've been trying to post on here for a few days now.

Ah ah was the price too high for an account still locked in the newbie jail?
Cry me a river

Haha, you neg-bombed him? You sure it's bought/hacked? Would be funny if he did buy it and now this  Grin.
I don't have proofs but yeah I'm 100% sure
Can you imagine a guy registering in 2011, leaving for 3 years, then crying "My amount is a few years old. Shittiest-run forum on the internet" ?
I can't, and won't remove the rating until proven wrong

Haha, well, it is possible, but I don't know how they could prove otherwise.

I guess we'd have a similar problem if Satoshi ever returned. Probably best he doesn't Grin.

I don't see why you would need escrow if you're doing the deal in person or through lawyers.
Because with lawyers, the money is usually wired to the lawyer's escrow first, and I doubt that the Nicaraguan lawyer would do a bitcoin escrow...

Find one that will. Is there any reason why you want to accept Bitcoin, especially when you're just going to convert it straight to fiat? Or is it just a way to cut out the costly bank fees etc?
17860  Economy / Gambling / Re: LastWinsAll.com - Experimental game with simple rules on: January 04, 2014, 11:06:44 AM
Even if OP was not a scam.
I could just watch on blockchain who ever send the highest ammount, and wait for the deadline and send a higher ammount and win

unfair game if you ask me

The deadline is 24 hours from the last best, so somebody could then just do that to you, and this is what the OP would want.
