Of course, I know it's my fault but still, I think I can be angry on Coinbase, or at least disappointed because as a client I tend to be treated differently.

They don't do anything to help in such a situation and on other exchanges its possible, even in a lot worst cases than mine. Of course for a high fee but still, they give a possibility to get at least something back. I know because my friend did the same mistake (to be funny on the same day and with almost the same USD amount) only his case was worst because he send IDENA to ETH address and it is not an ERC 20 token, but still luckily compatible with ETH network. The exchange agreed for a high fee to reverse this transaction, despite it's not an easy case because they also don't support IDENA and were not sure if this will be even possible at all. This is the kind of support I would expect to see on Coinbase and not on an exchange called scammy.

I thought that maybe one day when they list GOLD token on Coinbase Pro, I'll get them back, but this isn't true because I've read on Reddit that even after listings people didn't get those mistakenly send balances back. Additionally, there was one case described, where somebody mistakenly sent all ICO tokens to the wrong Coinbase address and they had to swap them later (causing insane problems and delays for the project) because didn't get any help from Coinbase support.

That's why I am angry and think that I can be angry and have all the reasons for, because if this is possible on other exchanges, then for sure it could be also possible on Coinbase.
I understand all problems with: security of keys, cold wallets, that it is not listed yet, etc, but still, we are clients and from what I know this happens every day that people send cryptocurrencies mistakenly to wrong exchange addresses.

If something happens, again and again, no matter what, then it seems that something is wrong and they should do whatever they can to help you, but believe me it doesn't look like this.
It rather looks like that they don't give a f... about us, their clients.


This is exactly the procedure I do when sending transactions or dealing with cryptocurrencies.

In almost 10 years, I have done only one mistake exactly at the moment when I skipped my "triple-check" formula for the first time.


I know because I have already talked with Digital Gold support using the live chat on Marketplace (which is a great tool) and already got my answers.

I got more support from the Digital Gold team than from Coinbase and this is why I am so disappointed with them.

It is useful and I am happy that I have read it.

As many members here, I am also using Google Authenticator for my 2FA security settings and wondered already many times, especially when logging in using 2FA, how complicated it could be to get that account on a new phone or to login to exchanges when problems with phone start to occur sooner or later? Of course, I have my codes written on paper and saved but still, I was afraid it will be a lot of problems to get it working.

Now I am delighted one can say  . Not joking here because we have to depend on those things and if something goes wrong many times a lot of money could be lost or get stuck in a volatile market.
I am happy that it is easy as it should be and even a simple Gmail account is enough to clone accounts or get the backup. I am happy that I can finally stop worrying about it.

I want to share what happened to me some time ago to warn everybody and to make aware that we are dealing with very specific instruments, so caution and "triple-checking" is the only way to go.

That was always my motto "triple-check" which means that I check everything at least a couple of times when dealing with cryptocurrencies but mistakes happen and that is exactly what happened to me lately. I always thought that dealing with established and trusted exchanges (like Coinbase Pro, Kraken or Poloniex) could be helpful when it comes to problems with errors or even pure customer support.
I always tried to avoid small exchanges and if there were any signs from the community that some exchanges are scammy, I haven't used them no matter what.

Some time ago I have used Digital Gold Marketplace and for the first time, something went wrong because of my mistake/error. As you know we have to send GOLD tokens to a special address when doing an exchange on the market. As always, I used the "copy and paste" feature but something went wrong. The address which I finally have used to send GOLD tokens to Marketplace was the destination address from my Coinbase Pro ETH deposit address (where the exchanged ETH should be sent to from Digital Gold Marketplace) because it was the last one remembered in my clipboard (copy and pasted a few minutes earlier).

Of course, this is only my fault and my mistake, but still, I fill totally disappointed because it seems to be an easy and obvious case, but I can't do nothing and the money seem to be lost, at least for now. I can see my GOLD tokens sitting in my Coinbase ETH address, but support keeps telling me: "we can do nothing". It is hard to understand or accept because it's enough to send GOLD tokens back to me, but Coinbase keeps repeating "because of the security of keys we can do nothing", additionally "we don't support GOLD token" at least for now.

This is an obvious BS for me because there are already multiple similar cases on Reddit, worth hundreds dozens of dollars going back to 2017 and even after the implementation of these specific assets on Coinbase pro exchange, people never get back those mistakenly send tokens or cryptocurrencies, no matter what. It's truly hard to understand because Coinbase doesn't steal all these assets, no.
They let them sit there for years, just like my GOLD tokens right now. Very strange because on other exchanges (to be funny those once called "scammy") it was and still is in many cases possible to get such mistakenly sent funds back after paying a high fee, sometimes truly insane fee, but still there is a possibility at least to get something back. Of course, high costs are interpreted on a "case by case" basis and depend on how complicated the case is/was, at least I heard such an explanation from a support team on one of the exchanges.

I just want to warn you. Keep checking everything three times, keep being suspicious and really no matter how much experience you already have don't distract yourself when dealing with cryptocurrencies, especially when doing any form of transactions. Just like me, when I was busy sending one, I got a call to my door, so quickly accepted the transaction without proper "triple-checking" and boom, with a click of a button I have lost 300$. This was my first (such) mistake and instantly a lesson, I should just wait, cancel the transaction and do it later, when I will be able to focus myself properly.

I wish a lot of luck doing arbitrage on these two exchanges with such low and faked liquidity there.

From what I know at least on Hotbit volumes are faked by bots and on Bilaxy I haven't traded so far but they are not standing high in the exchanges trust score on Coingecko or CMC either.

I am afraid that to some extent these prices are used to attract not experienced users to try small arbitrage trades but believe me this is not what arbitrage is and how you make money on it.

At least some decent volumes are needed or a good strategy to be successful, don't mention experience, knowledge and of course all information about the exchanges, you are going to trade on.

I have to add that I have nothing against the CPI token or project. These exchanges (at least Bitforex) are known from such shady practices as wash trading and nobody can do much about it.

This is a well-known problem in the crypto industry and I hope that decentralized exchanges and protocols like Compound, Balancer or 1inch are the cure for this plague.

Chyba można powiedzieć, że nasze lokalne podwórko strasznie wieje pustkami w ostatnich kilku tygodniach, co mnie raczej dziwi, bo przecież mamy "zielone świątki", jeżeli chodzi o krypto waluty, więc powinno nas tu przybywać, a nie odwrotnie.

Tak samo, jak na fali końca 2017 roku pojawiło się kilku nowych i bardzo wartościowych użytkowników (nie wymieniam nicków, żeby nikogo nie pominąć, ale pewnie każdy zainteresowany wie o kogo chodzi), więc zupełny brak nowych, a nawet odpływ starych forumowiczów, dziwi mnie coraz bardziej.

Tak na prawdę, gdyby nie jakieś stałe wątki informacyjne, to nie było by co czytać, ja staram się coś pisać, ale nie dziwie się, że brak jest reakcji skoro nikogo tu nie ma, a starzy wyjadacze mogą mieć mojej pisaniny po prostu dosyć  .

Od zawsze miałem nadzieję, że to nasze podwórko na Bitcointalk, chociaż trochę urośnie (zaludni się bardziej), bo myślę, że zainteresowanych krypto walutami nie brakuje, a samo forum daje możliwość zarobku, który nie jest taki mały przeliczając na złotówki i nasze realia płatnicze. Dodatkowo starałem się coś robić, ale niestety wygląda na to, że nie ma szans na świeżą krew, a bez tego ani rusz.

Nic się nie zmienia na lepsze, a nawet można powiedzieć, że jest coraz gorzej, więc chyba to po prostu nie działa. Myślę, że dużym problemem jest bariera językowa i Polacy szukają informacji w sowim języku. Pewnie ograniczenia lokalne i reklama też nie pomagają, jak jeszcze, kiedyś było tylko Bitcoinatlk, tak teraz jest setki forów i blogów w języku ojczystym, więc pewnie nawet Bitcointalk nie pokazuje się w wyszukiwarce pana Kowalskiego kiedy szuka info o Bitconie.

Dzięki za odpowiedź, tak też myślałem, bo praktycznie nic się nie płaca (oprócz Ideny  ) i miałem taką cichą nadzieję, że to właśnie może coś nowego.

Oczywiście Obyte, to już starszy projekt, ale zawsze mnie bardzo ciekawił, a już najbardziej to, że okazał się marketingowym fiaskiem.

Miałem nadzieję, że tym kopaniem chcą jakoś zachęcić społeczność, a wiem, że środki nadal mają, bo zmienili sposób dystrybucji, co poniekąd doprowadziło do takiego stanu w jakim Obyte jest aktualnie.

Agree with you fully, as a newbie trader I made a few mistakes to buy the top, now I always wait for a correction, of course, when the train already stoped, because sometimes when it keeps going up there is no better solution as to buy ASAP. In these types of trades a lot of commitment is needed because you can't just let it sit there, correction will happen sooner or later, but still, if I can even catch only 30% isn't that enough?


Indeed all developed projects with working products are mooning right now.

I had many tokens from 2017 which I haven't sold or received in the bear market from bounties and promotions, many of them spiked 5 - 50X.

Additionally, we are actually right now having a 20% correction after a 30% spike, so wait for the best moment and buy when the situation with BTC and ETH improves.

I am still afraid that when there will be a bigger correction on ETH and BTC all alts will follow no matter what.

Od dłuższego czasu, żadnej aktualizacji, a powiem szczerze, że już się przyzwyczaiłem, że zaczynam dzień lub kończę na lekturze w Bithub.pl.

Te posty tu na forum, to bardzo wygodny sposób na najnowsze info. Wystarczy kliknąć i już, a w dodatku mamy krótkie streszczenie, więc nie klikamy w ciemno.
Może to jest śmieszne, ale bez tych postów tu na forum, przestałem czytać Bithub.pl w ostatnich dniach   .

To może się wydawać dziwne, ile to wejść na waszą stronę, ale przyzwyczajenia i nawyki, to coś co ciężko zmienić, więc jak mnie przyzwyczailiście do tych postów, to mam nadzieję, że będą kontynuowane i dalej będę mógł trwać w swojej codziennej rutynie   .

Troszeczkę pojedziemy off topem, ale myślę, że każdy czytający, będzie bardzo ciekawy szczegółów tej historii, ponieważ 300 tyś MTNC, to niebagatelny majątek, który @Cygan mógł sprzedać w każdej chwili, ponieważ płynność była wystarczająca, a był jednym z pierwszych, którzy kopali masternodem w tym projekcie.

No i teraz, żeby uświadomić czytającym, jakie pieniądze wchodziły w grę, trzeba powiedzieć, że MTNC kosztował nawet około 0.40$ w najlepszym okresie i trwało to kilka tygodni, gdzie wolumen był też wystarczający w wysokości 20.000$ dziennie. Więc mówimy o jakichś 120.000$ w MTNC, które można było bez żadnego problemu upłynnić na giełdach.
Co wykorzystał nasz "ukochany" developer @Ideaupdater, który zdumpował praktycznie cały supply zabijając cenę.

@Cygan dziwi mnie, że zupełnie nic nie sprzedałeś? Czy może jednak chociaż trochę zarobiłeś na MTNC, a po prostu 300 tysięcy, to jeszcze górka, która została?

Ja też mam 90.000MTNC, witam w klubie  . Tylko, że ja wypłacałem, kiedy cena była dobra, chociaż nie wszystko, ale jak wiesz byłem w PR i dostałem prawie 100K, oczywiście dużo po czasie, ale zawsze, więc wszystko co kopałem sprzedawałem, bo wiedziałem, że i tak mam zapas w długu. No i dobrze zrobiłem, bo kiedymi wypłacił "szkoda" było sprzedawać, bo cena była, już tak niska.

Oczywiście, to była celowa robota, co teraz jest takie oczywiste, ale wtedy wyglądało zupełnie inaczej, szczególnie, że miałem bezpośredni kontakt z developerem, który ciągle stwarzał pozory dynamicznego rozwoju i niesamowitej przyszłości dla Masternodecoin, a tak na prawdę grał na czas, bo chciał sam upłynnić jak najwięcej MTNC i nie zabić przy tym ceny na amen za szybko. Dla tego nie wypłacał airdropów, bounty, nagród, nie płacił długów i za development, ale to już inna historia i doświadczenie na przyszłość.

BTC praktycznie zaliczyło 11.000$, jak pisałem wcześniej nie dziwi mnie silny opór niedźwiadków, szczególnie tutaj i najbliższe godziny/dni pokażą czy będzie kontynuacja, akumulacja czy korekta, innej możliwości nie ma... A może  

No i się zrobiło czerwono na rynku krypto w pierwszej 30 co najmniej. Niestety niedźwiadki wykorzystują pułap 12,000$ i zrobią wszystko, żeby zatrzymać BTC.

Szkoda, że i wolumen spada, dodatkowo traci cały czas BTC przewagę w dominacji nad altami, a bull market tak nie wygląda, co najmniej nigdy tak nie wyglądał dla BTC.

Te wskaźniki powinny rosnąć i jak nic się nie zmieni, to może być głębsza korekta. Mam nadzieję, że FOMO jest na tyle silne, że znajdą się chętni na tańsze BTC i w końcu wystrzeli do góry.

Testujemy 200 EMA, więc trzeba trzymać kciuki, że wytrzyma.
