2422  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Night @ Sportsbet (Private game exclusively for forum members) on: February 08, 2020, 11:51:11 PM
...they force you to... deposit to cover the guarantee... 0.001 BTC buy-in tournament requires a 0.01 BTC deposit (or fee?)... there's no reason to do that when we have better options like SwC...

Of course, I am very surprised to see all these fees and additional costs because in the creation process they mention only 10$ as a total cost.

Thank you very much that you looked into it correctly and double-checked everything, I also think that SwC would be the best choice now.

As I mentioned, OP can consider me as one of the participants if this tournament takes place elsewhere, as at Sportsbet.
2423  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Night @ Sportsbet (Private game exclusively for forum members) on: February 08, 2020, 08:44:56 PM
... just wanted to throw SwC out there because ... 1. supports bitcoin, 2. doesn't do KYC, and 3. doesn't ban any jurisdictions, that sounds pretty great! ...

I fully agree and have another poker room which matches all the criteria mentioned above, this is: https://blockchain.poker/

It is very easy to set up a private tournament there, is fully anonymous and supports cryptocurrencies.

I have played there already multiple times and never had any problems with withdrawals or the gameplay itself.

Literally, in a few clicks, I was able to set up a private tournament there.

https://blockchain.poker/

There is a fee of 10$ for a private tournament on this website, but really even a child would be able to set up one there.

Here the summary page with created by me tournament, of course, one can adjust any settings, how many chips, minutes, people, etc.

If this will be possible to set up this tournament somewhere else (not on Sportsbet), where I will be eligible to play, then you can count me in too, of course.
2424  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Night @ Sportsbet (Private game exclusively for forum members) on: February 08, 2020, 05:01:33 PM
Of course SwC Poker and even Acewins can be alternatives - I had already talked with Acewins about a tournament. I would like to give it another try @Sportsbet though and this is not because of any affiliation or so but simply because these guys rock and are doing a lot for our community here on bitcointalk.

I would like very much to play with you guys, but I am afraid that playing on Sportsbet can be impossible for many members from my country because when I try to log in, I see this each time.

As you can see, I am not allowed from my location Undecided, of course, I was able to create an account using VPN and was able to play there because I was always using free money from their ongoing giveaways here on the forum and additionally never won anything on their site, only lost all these freebies (never withdrew), but if I will have to do KYC to be able to play poker there with no fear, then it can be simply impossible.

one due to kyc reasons Cheesy
Sportsbet has KYC? If so, then I'm out. Sorry, don't want to give my documents...
...I think only when it comes to payout, you have to do KYC... I don't like KYC either.  Tongue
Not that I don't want to do KYC if I would have to, only that it would be impossible from my location to pass it, as I can't even log in or sign up without VPN  Embarrassed Undecided Huh

2425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: February 08, 2020, 03:57:28 PM
... I don't know personally any Bitcointalk member who actually made a significant profit on it...
There are actually Bitcointalk members that I know that had invested on site bankroll. Just like Lutpin on Crypto-games.net...

I think I own both of you an explanation because clearly misunderstood my probably not a very well defined answer.

As I have said: "I don't know personally any Bitcointalk member..." and personally is the keyword here.

...feel sad that you did not read my post in the first page of this thread...

Of course, I have read your post in this thread (TheUltraElite) and to be honest, I spend almost one hour on reding different threads about investing in casinos before I commented here.

I always read fully the thread in which I am answering, when it is not too long, of course, and if it is, then still, I try to read at least a couple of first and last pages, scrolling through the rest of the text in "quick view" mode  Wink, to know exactly what is going on and to be able to share a useful answer, which will hopefully add some quality to the discussion.

As you can see, I just shared my browser history from yesterday to prove my words and at 7.17 o'clock started to read this thread, one hour later almost at 8 o'clock, I have finally answered, after reading 11 threads about the "investing in casino bankroll"  Wink and additionally a few others, not so good related to the discussion, but still interesting and worth attention, like for example:
Lost $350k / 54 BTC gambling, need help Sad

After reading so many threads, I haven't found any success stories, were somebody (even only because of luck) earned a lot of money when investing in bankrolls and that is why I answered like this.
I have told that I don't know any Bitcointalk members personally, but maybe it was a mistake that brings confusion and made my answer hard to understand correctly?

Are you going try investing on their bankroll?

I don't think so, why?

The answer is rather simple because I haven't seen any success stories until today from other investors and such investments are known already for quite some time.

If this will be a successful investment, there will be some info shared on the internet, but all I can find are old threads, mostly abandon after some time.

It is enough to read comments in this thread to know that investing in a casino bankroll is very rare and I don't know personally any Bitcointalk member who actually made a significant profit on it.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: February 07, 2020, 06:03:42 PM
I think it all depends, with who one will share such information about winning big (let's say jackpot in a national lottery) or even about accumulated winnings from a longer period of time.

It should be ok to share such good news about the big win with the closest family and relatives, but to share it online is a different story, especially, if the true identity can be easily reviled.

As OP mentioned, one could be robbed because of that, despite, I haven't heard about something like this, but there are similar stories about big earnings made on crypto investments.

Many times I have read stories about people who were brutally robbed after sharing online that they made a significant amount of money when investing in cryptocurrencies.

I think we can (at least) expect exactly the same outcome when sharing gambling winnings online with everybody because money is money and this doesn't matter for robbers from were one has it, only that he has it and this is the best confirmation for them.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FELIX EOS DAPP PREREGISTRATION EVENT on: February 07, 2020, 05:20:13 PM
I am missing many links in the opening post and even if I want to try this Dapp I have to first go to the Telegram group to search further for the download link and more explanation.

And if one doesn't have Telegram or don't want to download it?

I would like to know if a desktop version is available and if there is any link to the project page?

Is this another Telegram based gambling bot?... I come across the telegram link that in the back of my mind that it is another telegram bot game,

If this is the case then it should be at least mentioned in the opening post that this is a bot game in Telegram.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Actually, this is one of the gold-backed projects that seemed to be authentic and following the number of their gold assets. As you can see, they are not giving you large numbers as compared to other gold-related projects. And you can also verify their assets. Hopefully, they will stay that way, being transparent and honest with their gold holdings.

I agree with you that in such a project there is no other way for Digital Gold to establish trust with clients as to be transparent as possible and that is what they actually do with all available information about the audits and exact numbers of stored gold in the vault.

I see Digital Gold is making good progress and many people already know about the GOLD token. Additionally, they try to provide more security using really good and recognized companies to cooperate with, of course, I am talking about BullionStar, as a vault service because it is widely recognized on the market and has a very good reputation. One can be 100% sure that the numbers provided in BullionStar audits are fully transparent and real.

This is important because the Tether (USDT) case shows us, that there are multiple ways to fake audits, even on such scale as they did, which is billions.
There were multiple checkings, audits, and everything seemed to be ok, until finally, authorities checked properly bank accounts  Wink and how much money is actually there?
As we all know, not too much, but this is the problem that Tether worked with not known audit services, with no reputation and almost no history behind them and now we know why.
They even could set up such service using friends and connections only to be "audited" and able to print billions from the air, to some extent brilliant. This guy is now one of the reachest people in the world, only in a couple of years.

2432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying real estate with Bitcoin on: February 06, 2020, 07:17:09 PM
Of course, one can buy real estate with Bitcoin, here one of many websites out there https://bithome.ch/.

I can't vouch for them or haven't done any research so advise to check everything before using.

There is plenty of such services on the web just search in Google: "Buying real estate with Bitcoin" and you will see/find them.

Additionally, there are already projects like Atlant which want to tokenize properties and sell them on a free market in centimeters, just imagine that.

2433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: February 05, 2020, 05:50:26 PM
...This news from Tether and the acceptance from community are good for Gold tokens (no matter they are launched by which companies).
...Tether understanding that they failed to provide crypto users and investors by backing their crypto with fiat which was the reason Satoshi created bitcoin as an alternative solution to inflation.

Imagine that this Tether (USDT) ball is still rolling, only because Bitfinex is not closed yet, they keep printing Tether from the thin air and now expand even more with the tokenized gold product. If there will be such a black time on the market and many will exchange their USDT to USD (or any other currency) and withdraw to bank accounts, believe me, this will be the day when Tether collapse because there is not enough "pegged" money in the bank to afford such massive withdrawals. So simple is that.

There was lately a special event created, so-called "check the exchanges day" (and of course coins like Tether), how they really stand out and people were asked to withdraw for one or a couple of days all the money and coins from exchanges and services as Defi or any others. Of course, it was a total fiasco and almost nobody heard about it, only a few people.

Now let's try to guess why media and crypto influencers haven't advertised such a great event?
Because such day will end up the crypto market once for all and all crypto prices will fall to zero in no time, believe me. That is why nobody mentioned it.

I think that this is good for overall advertising for tokenized gold that Tether step into this market but all the rest makes me even more nervous.
Tether is a real threat to the entire crypto market.
2434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about backed (and not) Stablecoins - GOLD token 100% backed by gold. on: February 05, 2020, 02:40:34 PM
Probably the biggest player in this game would be Tether GOLD because it is the largest company and with its influence they can easily dominate the market...

Imagine that this ball is still rolling, only because Bitfinex is not closed yet, they keep printing Tether from the thin air and now expand even more with the tokenized gold product. If there will be such a black time on the market and many will exchange their USDT to USD (or any other currency) and withdraw to bank accounts, believe me, this will be the day when Tether collapse because there is not enough money in the bank to afford such massive withdrawals. So simple is that.

There was even lately a special movement created to do a "check the exchanges day" and coins like Tether, how they really stand out and to withdraw for one or a couple of days all the money and coins from exchanges and services as Defi. Of course, it was a total fiasco and nobody heard about it, only a few people.

Now let's try to guess why media and crypto influencers haven't advertised such a great case?

Despite everything, I understand that in the end, everybody will choose Tether Gold if will have a choice.
2435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!! on: February 04, 2020, 04:48:54 PM
...I will have to close this thread because this discussion about BSV altcoin is totally off-topic.
This thread is about forks so what do you expect? In my opinion, it's fine to discuss individual forks (altcoins)...

I agree and if there will be a healthy discussion I would say nothing , but this is always the same story between BTC and BSV supporters, they are always at a state of permanent war .

Additionally, if this discussion could add something to this thread but no, only the same old story "BSV is the real BTC" and so on .

You will have to read this thread fully to understand why I am reacting like this on these posts.

As, you can see I haven't said anything in begin, but when the discussion turned out to be the same as always after just a few comments, I couldn't ignore it, as a thread author.

I don't mind to talk about all these forks and even to focus on a few if there will be such need, but I just can't accept hijacking the thread to run a never-ending war or to shill BSV .

Great job, which tells me that there is a lot of interest in this subject. Translations always welcome!!!

I already asked kindly to not hijack my thread, especially to discuss about BSV  .

...I haven't mentioned BSV in my article and I did it on purpose ... BSV is a hard fork of BCH, not BTC!!!...

...people think that BCH and BSV are the most known BTC hard forks - this is not true and BSV is a hard fork of BCH.

This is the only explanation that is needed about BSV in this thread and I hope that this debate will stop.

From now, I will report all (shilling) posts about BSV to moderators (as off-topic), so please stop hijacking my thread.

As I have told already, now I will have to ask mods for help and if this doesn't help, I will have to close this thread because this discussion about BSV altcoin is totally off-topic.

2437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised!!! on: February 03, 2020, 06:17:11 PM
Is it just us, or really many of them even just by the name...
...Most of the other forks I didn't even know existed.

Exactly, that was the reason for this thread. I was also shocked, how many of these copycats are there  Shocked and never thought that will be so many of them.

We had a discussion in our local and when I was looking for information about BTC forks, first I found that there are 40 such forks with their own blockchains.

That was already overwhelming, I shared these in our local and of course, reactions were the same as here, no matter what everybody was at least amazed how many of these Bitcoinalts exist already.

I thought it would be a great idea to share it on the main forum and started to dig for more accurate info and boom I found that there are even more, a lot more because the number was twice so big, as provided by the first source.

Of course, 97% of them are worthless and even not worth to mention, but this is some sort of phenomenon because only BTC was forked so many times and has so many new altcoins.

Little ironic, don't you think?
2438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about backed (and not) Stablecoins - GOLD token 100% backed by gold. on: February 03, 2020, 05:57:36 PM
I would buy Tether gold because it seems like the most trusted gold backed stable coin, even Tether has problems in the past, it is backed by one of the biggest crypto exchange - Bitfinex...

This is exactly what they count for in Tether. They will overtake this still very small market because there is no competition for them. I see such comments as yours overall, all people are happy that Tether launched this new backed with gold stablecoin and that this is really a good and trusted company, so suites great as a guarantee for our money. I am shocked!!!

We all know that they printed billions of dollars from thin air and now there is still ongoing investigation where hundreds of millions of dollars are missing in bank accounts, that should be secured because USDT is (or rather should be) "pegged" to this money. This hall thing is still ongoing, only because courts will not kill them instantly because only customers would be affected with losses, nobody else and we are talking about billions here.

Imagine that this ball is still rolling, only because Bitfinex is not closed yet, they keep printing Tether from the thin air and now expand even more with the tokenized gold product. If there will be such a black time on the market and many will withdraw their USDT to USD or any other currency, believe me, Tether will collapse because there is not enough money in the bank. So simple is that.

Despite everything, I understand that in the end, everybody will choose Tether Gold if will have a choice.
