1901  Other / Meta / Re: [ASK] My account is blocked on: February 24, 2023, 10:06:50 AM
This is the first time we have encountered such a situation. Therefore, unfortunately, they did not know how to do the right thing. We apologize for what happened. They wrote to that mail(banappeals...@bitcointalk.org ), which was indicated in the notification that our account was banned. We have not received a response.
We will be immensely grateful for your assistance in unblocking your account.
AFAIK, it may take forever to get a response from that email so create unban requesting thread as LoyceV said, and lock this thread because this discussion is now obsolete if you have a convincing reason then you may be unbanned by admin or global mod then you can create posts, creating a new account when one of your accounts is banned will result into the same thing again so-called permanent ban.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another story telling how billionaires hate bitcoin? - read over quick coffee. on: February 24, 2023, 09:44:17 AM
snip~
So what are you investing in bitcoin for? Are you looking for decentralization and financial transparency? It is true that Satoshi's purpose of creating bitcoins was to create a transparent trading system and no need for a third party. But so far, bitcoin is a highly profitable investment channel, and people go there for profit reasons. Market participants to this day are looking forward to the wealth that bitcoin brings, you and me included.
Making money is one of the reasons but it isn't the sole reason and satoshi didn't have such visions while creating bitcoin as well. Of course you, me, and everyone else need money in this world to survive but bitcoin brings decentralization which gives complete control of our money in our hands while fiat is highly controlled by central banks, and can do whatever they want when they want to.

I understand blockchain technology so I believe it is going to be the future of money that is the reason why I am here nothing else, and who knows one day I can tell about being one of the earliest adopters of bitcoin to my grandkids. Cheesy
1903  Economy / Reputation / Re: Beginers dream of becoming a Legendary, and my goal is Hero. on: February 24, 2023, 12:55:34 AM
Official names and titles, in my opinion, are not as significant as what we ourselves are. The inner state is more important than the rank. Frankly, I still don't feel like a Legendary, because I don't have sufficient knowledge to consider myself as such. I am not ashamed to say that I will ask questions that would not expect from a high rank. So, your wish for new heights is very appropriate in my case.
This implies that not all Legendaries are well-rounded members and can understand everything without asking. There are even many Legendaries here who are spammers, without much knowledge and living in the dark among other low ranking spammers. I don't deny it, it exists and will continue to exist.

About your new rank, it is fun. I even wonder when I'll become Legendary - I think months from now or maybe when ATH just hits. LOL
You have enough merits but lack activity which can be earned only by patience so let's say at least a year from now to reach about 900+ to 1000 activities which are normally when someone will become legendary and it's completely random so if you are lucky it may happen as early as possible.

OP ignored my post which kind of makes me feel embarrassed and is proving that my reply is not really worth this discussion. Huh
1904  Economy / Reputation / Re: User @Amph - sale of BTT account via PM! on: February 23, 2023, 05:13:30 PM
sure some random guy pointed your profile in  A PRIVATE chat on telegram, come on don't be a moron, that is an undeniable proof that you comunicate wiht me via telegram, otherwise i would never send a private msg to you

you are a lier nothing else, and your screen don't prove anything either, there are plenty of way to edit any screen or even video so...
Your reaction for his proof itself says who is talking the truth here.

Anyway he posted the proof about the PM he received from your account so what is you answer or atleast say that he edited the picture and trying to portray you as an account seller. Cheesy

Anyone ready for the drama?
1905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another story telling how billionaires hate bitcoin? - read over quick coffee. on: February 23, 2023, 03:16:16 PM
Uber is dying too in most countries because of bike taxis and people can afford their own cars so he is just doing it for publicity stunt or just blabbering cause he himself afraid of his investments return in future.

For any investor crypto is just another investment and if they find something better they can move on and the volatility also high with crypto there is no denial in the fact but cryptocurrency proved all these oldies were wrong since the beginning and growing strongly.

Honestly, I don't believe what billionaires say about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies because they know bitcoin's lucrative potential, and they don't want people to get rich quickly and on par with them. They are afraid of that happening, so they always talk bad about bitcoin to keep people away from bitcoin. I believe there are many billionaires who are quietly investing in bitcoin, they are not stupid enough to not see the potential of bitcoin, but they do not want equality in this world.
They're not afraid of people getting rich all they afraid is people is adapting to decentralized monetary system which makes billionaires to become powerless so they are pushing the governments as hard as they can to suppress the growth since we are at the earliest stage of its adoption.

But Bitcoin isn't made to make people rich either it's solely created with complete transparency when it comes to transaction no third party needed for any transaction to happen.

1907  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: February 23, 2023, 11:20:55 AM
We may see no car manufacturers will be manufacturing IC engine cars by that time because already the hige manufacturers are doing R&D for producing the practical EV vehicles but the charging station infrastructure is lacking in most countries so people are not buying it now but I feel by 2025/26 itself we can see the actual evolution of EV vehicles.
1908  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 22, 2023, 06:51:16 PM
If I am not wrong you had this query after seeing something related to untouchable savings, its different from the savings we do because its done with the purpose of serving financial help for next generation so if you can do afford such trading it is appreciable act and you grandkids may feel little ease due to that kind of savings.

Apart from that we should spend our savings for our needs and avoid spending it for wants.
1909  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 22, 2023, 04:36:03 PM
I was kind of confused little about something, after someone walked on to me and was telling me that in trading, there are seasons when you profit from it (lucky days) and when but when I asked for an explanation, he didn't give a clear explanation, so I had to bring it up here to know if there are truly seasons of profits in trading and how can I identify such seasons?
You can make money anyday by trading but its possible when you buy and sell at the right time that is the reason its close to impossible to be consistent as day trader with their success rate.

And if you say bull season is the best season for trading then its wrong cause keep holding itself will bring the appreciation for your bitcoin then why do you have to put extra effort to buy and sell at that time?
1910  Other / Meta / Re: What is the most appropriate place to post art on this forum? on: February 22, 2023, 03:58:49 PM
Hello bitcoiners!

We over at LowRezStudios would love to know the best place to post art.
From the google search I found an youtube channel as mentioned here so based on the contents posted there the appropriate section to post your arts are off topic.

If the reasons are different and have something to do with bitcoin or providing service the answer is already posted by @Jawhead999
1911  Economy / Reputation / Re: Beginers dream of becoming a Legendary, and my goal is Hero. on: February 22, 2023, 09:17:36 AM
Congratulations OP for achieving what you have dreamed off and this is another example for nothing can stop when you keep working on your goals.

But myself never gave much attention to the merits column, I am happy with the financial knowledge I am getting from bitcointalk and it helped me a lot personally to break and live a good life but topics like these kinds of triggers me to get more merits and now am asking myself what am I doing wrong?

Or I am just another bounty spammer? Huh
1912  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie account got a username change ! First one in my eyes on: February 21, 2023, 05:55:59 PM
User profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3535914

So a newbie account with just 7 activity points just got successfull in convincing the admin(s) (probably theymos) to change his username.
The main reason to change the username was his legal name was visible to others. So it seems like it is now clear that theymos started giving importance to ppl's privacy and anonymity whether the person is a brand new account or not.
Im really impressed (and a bit shocked as well) by this activity. This was the first newbie (atleast in my eyes) who successfully got a name change in this forum. Have anyone seen such a username change scenario before ? I even know that reputed members have to DM theymos again and again to get a name change after a long waiting time Smiley
I remember theymos mentioned queries and requests from forum members via PM and since this has convincing reason so theymos did it eventually when he just saw the request and that's it and forum treats everyone equally because rules apply to everyone from newbies to legendary anyway I can see a lot of members are requesting for name change in the recent days.
1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where Do Lost Assets or Coins Go? on: February 21, 2023, 05:20:39 PM

Edit: A suggestion would be if these platform can  be programmed such at once you input an address the network can be automatically detected. Can't this be done as well? Is there a downside to this?
Image source: A screenshot from my Binance app

I still remember the term being burned so we can say that when we send our coins to the wrong chain it's a complete loss forever for us but it can be recoverable or not depending on which address we sent it to. On most cases the address format will be different for different chains so you won't even see the send popup unless the address resembles other chain address.
1914  Economy / Economics / Re: The Return of the Barter Trade at Rural Communities in Nigeria on: February 21, 2023, 03:47:40 PM
It resembles with what happened in India when their government demonetised the money and issued completely new notes including higher denominations and I remember banks out of paper money due to unavailability but it was temporary and government managed to bring the liquidity back but they can't catch their growth like before.

But how it can be said we have to return to barter system? It doesn't work with current society structure and what will be the case of working class? Cause they are not producing anything so how they can get what is needed for their survival...
Well, it may resemble but there's no way that it is the same case, because Indian government, as far as I know, did that for a very good cause which was to fight black money and to make them worthless, hence they announced demonetization of their currency which they knew would be a big slap on the faces of those who earn and keep black money since they would never be able to come out in order to exchange the currencies.

This particular case to me seems like a plan or something maybe from the authorities or maybe from a bigger and more powerful source who might have some evil intentions which they want to achieve through this. Either way, I feel bad for the people living there.

That's what government told to their people but its already reported by many reputed analytical firms that they failed and I don't think anyone with millions of dollars are keeping it in the form of Fiat so it affected common people and ended up a big Chaos for atleast a year for people and also the small business which reduced growth rate and many people are still trying to get away from the effect of demonetisation in India.
1915  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do if bitcoin crash? on: February 19, 2023, 05:25:51 PM
If bitcoin crash today, what will be your fate? Poor or rich. Most people on the platform have submitted all their life savings to bitcoin investment. There was once a man in my area who sold his house to invest in a local platform called BARAZAR in 4 months missive the so-called BARAZAR was shoot down and now he does not have a cottage. So I ask again if bitcoin crashed today what will be your description rich or poor?
Don't put all your eggs in one basket that is the only basic thumb rule when it comes to investment so if someone failed and went bankrupt because of one asset failed completely with their investment knowledge.

Never take risk money which is affordable to lose, for now I diversified my portfolio which importantly consists gold and real estate so if bitcoin fails and went to zero I won't be on the street but as far as my instincts says what you're saying its highly unlikely to happen.
1916  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of sticky topics created by authors with negative Trust on: February 19, 2023, 10:34:32 AM
I get your point which you are talking how can a scammers's thread can serve as a guide to the newcomers but what if we think in different POV, no body knows how to scam someone better than a scammer then its rational to read their guides about how to avoid scams and what to do when someone got scammed, etc.

Apart from scam accusation threads DT score is irrelevant to the knowledge so we don't have to remove those pinned threads unless the data becomes obsolete.
1917  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin vs. Inflation on: February 18, 2023, 08:34:32 PM
So this proves when inflation goes down the price of Bitcoin will rise and ironically when it goes high the price even get higher unless the price of Bitcoin affected by other factors.

Bitcoin on the rise no matter what, one more valid proof to hold Bitcoins over fiat at whatever situation it is.
1918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tainted coins on: February 18, 2023, 06:16:16 PM
First of all no one can confiscate BTC unless its stored in centralized platforms.

Ironically buying Bitcoin from centralized exchange is safe compared to p2p because we receive funds from exchange's wallet so it won't be considered as tainted and exchange has the complete responsibility for all the outcomes.

Blacklisting an address is possible but it can't be possible to stop transactions whether its incoming or outgoing.

And finally are we sure that fiat money we are using everyday has any assurance that it never used for anything which goes against laws of a country?
1919  Economy / Economics / Re: The Return of the Barter Trade at Rural Communities in Nigeria on: February 18, 2023, 05:05:24 PM
The redesigned of the new Naira banknotes was announced late last year and the deadline to use the old naira notes was given on the 15/01/2023 and before then the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN plus the Federal Government in the country told the citizens that the newly resigned naira notes will be available for everyone to use before the deadline, though they said nobody can withdraw more #20,000 which equivalent to $43.43.

But reaching the deadline which made all the citizens to go and deposit all their old naira notes to their various banks for the fear of expiration but when the last date came CBN extended the deadline and banks refused to pay their customers the money that is in their bank accounts from inside the banks except from the ATM and that makes or form a very long queue on the AMT stands.

Many people died because of this and almost 60% of business collapsed. On the 13th of February 2023, in my locality (State Capital) all the banks closed down. Bank network is malfunctioning.

Survival of the fittest by Hobbes
The age group ( old people) can't queue on the ATM and also they are not conversant with cashless technology. So they have to resort to their old way of buying and selling method. That the exchange of goods to goods so that they can survive. Barter

Cash Crunch: Rural Dwellers Resort To Trade By Barter

1920  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 17, 2023, 04:42:29 PM
First of all I am not accusing anyone, just pretending to be neutral and practical. Yes Roobet is really big site now it doesn't mean they can be perfect always, mistakes can happen however the important matter is how much efforts the customer support is making to resolve it and AFAIK Roobet doesn't have any such issues means they are practically making the users satisfied which gives growth in their graph.
Sometimes there can be misunderstandings and if you are right on your part with valid proofs against your claim then the team will solve the issues and there have been some instances where withdrawal was stuck but after all investigation it was released. The Roobet team is responsive and will not have any problems paying you off with your wins but it should be in legit manner.
Yes, that is what I am talking about and there are some other cryptocurrency casinos uses this AML policy to cheat winners by keep rejecting the documents whatever the customer supports which is shady and should be avoided at all cost whereas Roobet and few other casino's gives high priority for customer satisfaction so try to solve if there is any issues as soon as possible.
