Bot or what? Sounds like a potential bitcointalk game show.

It's just a shitposter farming an account. There's hundreds of accounts that lazily post this sort of rubbish. I banned him.

You follow that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

Then you wait.

Block the person from sending you PMs and problem solved.
1904  Other / Meta / Re: Account as collateral - How it reflects the forum rule? on: July 16, 2018, 01:58:35 PM
There are no forum rules on this. You can accept whatever you want as collateral and is entirely up to you to secure.
1905  Other / Meta / Re: Do you consider this as begging? on: July 13, 2018, 05:29:27 PM
I appreciate your insight about this. However, isn't it much worse in PT than in a post? It is as if he/she is showing the text whenever he/she goes.

No, I don't think so. Begging addresses and ref links aren't allowed in posts, but they're fine in signatures or personal texts. I don't really see an issue with the reminder in their PT, but I think it's largely pointless. If you make good posts you'll probably get the merit anyway, but I think it's likely to have a counterproductive effect and many people won't merit after seeing the message.
1906  Other / Meta / Re: Do you consider this as begging? on: July 13, 2018, 04:38:45 PM
You could just PM him (or her) and tell them it's frowned upon and that they should consider removing it. I'd rather it there than in posts though. It's not begging I don't think, just as people who put their bitcoin address in their PT and ask for donations or whatever. Nobody will probably give them merit just like nobody would send anyone bitcoin donations.

Bump. Ideally would like to exchange 2 bitcoin cash for the equivalent in ETH, but can do up to 4.
1909  Other / Meta / Re: Macros Posting Advertisements on Thread on: July 13, 2018, 11:48:41 AM
Just report these users. I deleted the posts and gave him a temp ban.
1910  Other / Meta / Re: Should posting advice be in Meta or beginners? on: July 13, 2018, 11:48:13 AM
It probably will depend on the sort of thread. I'm not sure if that one belongs in Reputation though, and I certainly wouldn't have put it there. Maybe off topic if I had to.
1911  Other / Meta / Re: how to avoid permanent ban? on: July 13, 2018, 09:23:45 AM
how to avoid permanent ban?
If you have to ask, you probably deserve a ban. Roll Eyes

A well-behaved, "normal" "user" of this forum will not run into a ban inadvertently.

It's likely he's already had one on a previous account.
1912  Other / Meta / Re: how to avoid permanent ban? on: July 13, 2018, 09:15:47 AM
whether phishing links can be permabanned?

Yes. Edited my post above to include phishing.
1913  Other / Meta / Re: how to avoid permanent ban? on: July 13, 2018, 09:07:46 AM
Don't copy and paste content.
Don't post malware/phishing links.

Those are the two main reasons why people are permabanned.
1914  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'm ignoring posters who start threads with all caps titles. on: July 12, 2018, 09:11:44 PM
what about people who don't capitalise words properly as well?
1915  Other / Politics & Society / Re: #breaking Stormy Daniels arrested on: July 12, 2018, 09:09:16 PM
I think she should be sentenced to death for this heinous crime. Letting another human being touch you is disgusting and there's no excuses for it. Off with her head.

So I've got this game down as 1-1 and they're about to start extra time with that score now. Got a feeling I'll get shafted again with a late goal like in the Russia game. Getting 700 points from this game is pretty much the only way I'll still be in the running for top five. Really wish it was just the 90 minutes they take the scores from. Far too hard to predict the draws this way.

Edit: Absolute bastards.
1918  Other / Meta / Re: Global Moderators fired? on: July 10, 2018, 04:49:42 PM
They're not 'fired' per se, but as with most staff if you become inactive after x amount of time you usually have your mod status removed. Grue and Salty haven't really been active moderating for quite some time and both their mod payments have been zero for the past two months and grue's even longer than that, so that means they handled zero reports and probably why they were de-modded.

manage the corresponding bounty.
I hope you are not asking the escrower to manage your bounty. If the answer is - no, you are not asking then the rest of the of the contents of this post are valid or you can ignore the rest.

So you're not interested in running the bounty but are interested in holding the $100k+?

I am really not sure how the community will react on this thread since I am not near to a legendary or above, not very long with this community and never worked as an escrow before however I will give it a try and I will hope that community will see it as a fair interest since I am attaching my entire career and reputation with it.

The same way they react when any other Marlon Rando offers escrow services with little to no trading history here. You don't even meet the criteria in the op so I'm not sure why you're applying. I'm sure lots of people would put their 'entire' career here on the line for 100k+.

Considering the high amount, and the long duration of the escrow, you may want to consider a 2-out-of-3 multisig: OP holds 1 key, and 2 escrows each hold one too. That way, 2 out of 3 parties can always make a transaction.

This. There's very few people here who should be trusted to hold onto such an amount and these kind of figures can make even good men turn bad. Maybe contact theymos and see if he would be interested in being one of the people.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's English Premier League Football Pool |£25 to join Pot @ £425 on: July 08, 2018, 12:30:31 PM
There's 20 users signed up now so that should be a £500 pot assuming everyone pays. Should be able to get a fair few more users before the start of the season in august so spread the word.
