1901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 18, 2023, 10:50:32 PM

Bankroll size and management is the greatest weapon if you want to stay in gambling longer but there’s really no guarantee to have a consistent profit as source of income since you already said that bad luck always come. At some point. These professionals will encounter it and bust them even after their long winning streak.

It's the worst that can happen to any gambler we gamblers want to avoid this, and we can only do this if we know when to quit and how to quit, this is where chasing our losses mentality starts when we are already winning and we get busted.

Bad luck and house edge contribute to this we know this from the start but dopamine keeps us playing we always want to keep up when dopamine is at its highest whether we are winning or losing.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: June 18, 2023, 09:49:19 PM

In short, this is fight will belong to Jake Paul and that's without a doubt. It's not that I'm underestimating Nate but it's just hard to vote and bet towards him knowing that he will fight Jake inside the ring where he's not that experienced, he can make a difference in the first few rounds though because in those rounds, he is still fresh and strong but in the longer rounds, Jake will punish him and might KO him too.
There are reports coming from one of Nate's trainers that he is having a hard time with his stamina and this is going to be a big problem, compared to MMA where fighters can wrestle especially if the match is on the mat, it's not possible in boxing you have to phase yourself well, and Jake is so good at phasing himself, he goes to the body at the opening rounds invest a lot in jabs and do counter punches to save energy and hurt his opponent.
I know Jake can and will beat Nate I'm just worried it's not as bad as what he did with Woodley, well we just hope.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 18, 2023, 09:12:34 PM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.
When it comes to gambling I know myself more than other people so there's no problem at all if people think I am addicted to gambling as long I know that I'm not chasing losses, not taking a loan to gamble, and not spending the whole day or night playing in casinos.

People will never know if you will not tell them how you play or gamble they are left to themselves guessing if you are really are addicted to gambling, you know people they tend to create misinformation about other people.

Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ?

You can do it if you are dedicated to it and you live a simple life, you need to have a goal and a dedication to reach that goal, this is easy to do if you are single and have a good job, and raised by your parents living a simple life.

But if you have a family although it is possible it's hard to save one-third of your salary, your family comes first than savings, here in our country where the minimum wage cannot keep up with the cost of living, it's hard for a family man to save one-third of his salary unless both husband wives are working.

1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 18, 2023, 12:15:25 PM
You are right in saying that in the cryptocurrency market everyone is trying to get quick profits, and many end up losing money and becoming disillusioned with cryptocurrency. I also agree with you that a good project needs development, which sometimes takes more than a year or two. But there is a paradox here. While one project is developing and making a product, several other projects may appear in its place. In the crypto world, projects don't live long; technologies become obsolete very quickly and something new is constantly emerging. There is a lot of competition.

That is why we need to follow projects that we've invested we need to check if they are following their roadmap or intentionally delaying it, and check the kind of characters the developers have, if they do not update the community, you have something to worry especially if the projects come from crowdfunding, you should be quick in your observation and do not have an attachment to projects so you can quickly dump.
The worse thing is being late to dump and you are left with bags of useless tokens.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: June 18, 2023, 06:54:12 AM

How sure are we that those creating such multiple threads won't continue to create new threads even though there is a dedicated thread for such discussions?

I recommend that topics about gambling addiction be locked after 60 responses or less so there will be less spam and the reply will not be redundant when it hit 60, we request OP to lock the thread but we should agree, and those who like to open topics about gambling addiction or we request that it be locked after 60 responds.
So the topic will not run for weeks.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 17, 2023, 11:40:18 PM
Checking the internet and this thread it looks like we will really have this fight although it's still a month before the fight let's pray that no injury or last-minute change of mind will happen, if the fight will not push through this July it will not push through anymore.

The hype is very high the expectations are soaring, and nobody will miss this fight so hopefully all systems go, this is a candidate for the match of the year if both fighters come in their best form.
1908  Economy / Economics / Re: 85% of AI start-ups will fail within 3 years. on: June 17, 2023, 10:32:35 PM
Maybe less than three years, we are in the age of AI, so many AI is in our midst and they are competing to be the top AI in the industry this is serious competition because the big online companies are behind it, Google and Microsoft are leading the pack in this race and the AI that will likely be out of the race are those who cannot keep out of the competition because of lack of promotion.

When you have the biggest name in the industry in the competition, expect them to swallow small developers and companies, the name of the game is the reputation and stability of the company behind the maker.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 17, 2023, 09:46:52 PM

Nah! I don't think that Lopez is really serious about that statement because he just became a star in super-light and achieve a difficult feat that not everybody can achieve. And now he's retiring? I don't really think so. I view it as a tactic so that he can have what he wanted but I doubt as well that he can get what he want as he's still starting to build his career from scratch. Too early for him to demand though.

I read in one caption on social media that he wants more if he wants to make a comeback maybe a bait for promoters to give what he wants because he totally dominated Taylor and won the undisputed title, but it's early to ask for that he is not yet fully established his name as a pound for pound fighter, there are other boxers who still has a claim for that title.

We'll know in the coming months if he is that serious or the boxing organizations will have to order championship fights on all their top-ranking contenders, and Taylor will have a chance at that.
1910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Altcoins to look at in 2023 on: June 17, 2023, 09:16:05 PM
BNB is not a very technically advanced coin, it's just so famous because Binance owns it.

In the market whoever creates a coin or token will have an impact in fact, so if Facebook's Libra coin gets in it could have made it to the top Binance even if it is not technically advanced it will have an edge over those technically advanced coins that are created by unknown developers or companies

Of course, Bitcoin is also a valid investment because Bitcoin is an established coin.

You are a fool not to include Bitcoin, in fact, your portfolio is still ok if you have Bitcoin only because of your limited investment capacity.
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: June 17, 2023, 03:10:20 PM
I have Usyk winning by a decision here, of all the heavyweight champions Usyk is an established technician in the ring he has a very good ring generalship, he never thinks of knocking out his opponent he breaks down his opponent to frustrate him and always looks for his opponent's weakness.
He is a thinking fighter, and it's hard to beat a thinking and a wise fighter in his game, Dubois is a good fighter but Usyk will overwhelm him like he did against Joshua.
1912  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME trying to SCAM BLATANTLY!! on: June 17, 2023, 01:14:55 PM

They requested KYC documents but when I go there it says "All information are submitted"  (sic) even though i DID NOT UPLOAD DOCUMENTS, I JUST STARTED FILLING MY INFORMATION AND THE NEXT TIME IT SAYS THAT! There is no option to upload my documents!

I am going to complain to Curacao Gambling Authorities and in all other betting forums IF THEY  don't restore access to my account. Below are the screenshots

This is the first time I saw something like this, you try to submit information but the platform tells otherwise and that you submitted it, I support the call to send a pm to the support and tell them that you have not yet submitted the document.

The worse I can think of is they will tell you that they decline the first submission even though it's not your submission and tell you that it's final, this could be another trick but we'll see I hope I'm wrong and they will let you submit your documents.
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 17, 2023, 11:37:28 AM

This is true brother. This is only right way to think about gambling. Think it as Entertainment thing can supply power for quit gambling sick.

But there's always the temptation to think of gambling as a job and income source when you have successive wins and you think you crack the code or you arrive that you are good at analysis, there's always a time that you think that you can beat the house and from there you are misled that there is more to gambling than entertainment, this is a trap.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shouts - The best possible Twitter alternative? on: June 17, 2023, 09:37:01 AM
Have you heard of Shouts - Decentralized social network?

Recently appeared, looking way more powerfull than Mastadon, Bluesky or any other.

Check it out and tell me what you think: https://shouts.social

If you are the official representative I'm sure you are, you should create an official announcement for your token and post it here Announcements.

Get a copper account and hire a designer to design your announcement, this is the right thing to do if you want to introduce your token here, much more important if you are doing a presale, it will not reach investors if you do not promote your token sale properly.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't anyone created a crypto currency name Merit yet? on: June 17, 2023, 04:54:21 AM
Lately i been looking into altcoins more and more since I have got some more money in my life and want to make more investments then only in BTC.
One thing I was wondering is why nobody yet have created a crypto currency under the name "Merit" yet. Smiley

it's many smart people on this forum with a lot of knowledge about things like this and I think it could be a good currency to create. Smiley

Then what is it for this forum and what will be its use case and what platform it will set up for, there is too many shit token now in the market almost all words has been used up I remember stumbling into a shit coin named Fart coin or Bottled oxygen but ended up as shitcoin we have to concentrate on the use case and platforms that will benefit the community, not just because the word is good.

And I don't think it will be used here in Bitcointalk, there's a recommendation for the community to create their own token but it will cease to be a Bitcoin discussion forum if they create their own token, Bitcoin is already enough.
1916  Other / Meta / Re: Offensive words on the forum on: June 16, 2023, 11:35:55 PM
Every person is right in his own opinion so do not use offensive words on others who make a post but rather convince them to understanding why their opinion is wrong
Some members of this forum do this alot
The forum is for 18+. You need a legal guardian.

He needs to be enlightened that this is a discussion forum and we agree to disagree when we sign up here maybe OP is in seminary and is not accustomed to this kind of environment, I've checked the member he is complaining and it's not even offensive words, what if he encounters real offensive words he may leave and take a vacation for being soft and only come back when he is ready.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: June 16, 2023, 10:54:31 PM
Even topics that are not related to gambling addiction will also lead to a discussion about gambling addiction like a topic about a guy who goes all out,  also leads to topics about gambling addiction, majority of topics about excess losses and strategies can lead to topic about gambling addiction.

Because when it comes to discussion about gambling addiction, loses, entertainment and responsible bettors are the words that always come out.

1919  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: maverickgames.com casino is a scam on: June 16, 2023, 01:26:33 PM

I wrote to both the support service and the licensing authority. Nobody protects the interests of the player. I took my deposit a long time ago, because I understand that no one will return my winnings. I just want to warn new players that this casino is a scam.

It's not that they just disable your account and confiscate your earnings you have issues with your IP because it is linked to other accounts and you cannot refute it and it's a clear violation of their terms since they let you withdraw your initial deposit and you accept there's nothing to be done here.

Just refrain from playing or pick the right casino to play it's better to contact them first and let them know your situation so they can stop you or allow you to play to avoid any issues.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can One's Religion Compel A Compulsive Gambler To Quit Gambling on: June 16, 2023, 11:28:09 AM
Here in my country, there are many sects and religions, and I have seen some people who convert from one sect to another for convenience but still continue with their old habits, the elder or the leader of the sect or religion should monitor the convert if he really changes the habit and views about gambling so he can guide him to repent and change his ways.

Chance can really happen if he is true to his heart he converts to one religion or sect because he needs to change his way for a better life here and in the afterlife not because of conveniences from work or because he wants to have a good association and reputation.
